President Obama will attend fundraisers today in Baltimore and Philadelphia. According to POLITICO, the President's six events today are expected to bring in at least $3.6 million for his campaign.
Today, Obama for America released a new television ad titled "Number One" that attacks Mitt Romney's economic record as Governor of Massachusetts. "Number One" will air in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
The Romney campaign offered this response to the new ad: “President Obama has overseen trillion-dollar deficits, soaring national debt and the first credit downgrade in history. Mitt Romney, on the other hand, closed a $3 billion budget shortfall, balanced four budgets, left a $2 billion rainy day fund and received a credit rating upgrade. President Obama will do anything to distract from his abysmal economic record and – despite that record – the fact that he thinks the private sector is ‘doing fine.'”

Romney's ads are also full of deception and out and out lies also. If you believe the rhetoric that is being put in the ads, you have a real problem. Political ads are historically nothing but fantasy or embellished half truths. Thank God for the mute button. Mr Willard should realize that if you complain about the competitor's ads, then he has the right to complain about your lies in your ads.....
That's the difference. The president doesn't need to lie about Romney.
What the media fails to address is Romney hiding from the media. All he can do is keep repeating the lies in his stump speeches then run and hide over at Fox (aka tea people Koch republican propaganda machine) where they will edit out the gaffs and stupid statements he makes. Romney will not be ready for the debates where he will have to answer to his lies when facing President Obama. Although I can see the moderators letting him give his stump speech which will be full of lies instead of answering the questions.
The Romney campaign is determined to keep him in a bubble, just as they protected George W. from unscripted interviews. As long as they can keep the glow of money around him, they have a chance of hoodwinking Independent voters into supporting him. If you get a chance to actually hear him, however, you soon realize what a disaster for the middle class his presidency would be.

You won't get an argument this time from this citizen.
M0-681343- Most of this ads are half truth or half lies from both Obama and Romney. Please do not spin it to Obama's benefit.
Have to agree with Chuck Todd's questions this morning to an Obama flack:
If you go totally negative 5 months before the election, will voters tune you out well before election day?
The answer is yes. Voters know Obama cant run on his abysmal record, the only way to get reelected is to sling mud at his opponent.
So what you're saying Bob is voters have already tuned Romney out. You see Romney's been going negative and lying for over a year. Voters know Romney can't run on his abysmal record at Bain and as governor, so the only way he can get elected is to lie about his record and his opponent.
MO - You say Romney had a abysmal record at Bain, repeating the left wing talking point doesn't make it true. I believe Romney's success rate was around 78%, that's a good average. Further, Bain Capital was using private money from investors. Obama has wasted over a billion dollars of taxpayer money on his investments in green energy. What did Obama say, oh well, you win some and loose some, not all investments will be successful.
I am not from MA but it appears he did o.k. as governor, considering he was working with a legislative controlled by democrats. I will check out his record as governor, but tell me where he failed as governor if you have any truthful information and not just left wing talking points.
Sfcret, the mere fact that Mitt had to remove all the hard wares hard disk and software's in record of his stewardship in Mass. is a pointer to the disaster he was. Take this from me when Mitt left the fees he imposed on every thing claiming he did not raise taxes to balance the budget was biting to the poor and middle class. His tax cut for the 1% per centers was at the expense of the poor and the middle class. When he came on the state was at 34th in job creation, guess where he left us 47th and like Gov. Palin he left in his first term term because he knew what awaits him if he tried for another term. Every thing he is repeating now about knowing how to create job as a result of private sector experience was first used in Ma. We fell for it and now we know better. Romney will not win a dog catcher position in Ma. now. Just imagine a former governor of a state loosing double digit to a Senator from Chicago in a presidential election? So you now know how we feel about Romney in Ma. He will be a disaster in any public setting simply because vulture capitalism does not operate in a government setting as in private corporations.
Boston - You are speaking in generalities without any real facts. I take it that you don't like Romney, but quit using the left wing talking points and give some facts. A lot of leaders, including Obama, have used the fees gimmick so they could say I didn't raise taxes. Did he or did he not balance the budgets, as required?
The real enemy of the people is the GOP machine. Even a middle of the road kind of politician, once he is brought into the GOP machine, becomes an extremist. McCane, was a middle of the road, but war guy, until he got GOP adjusted. I was in AZ, back in the mid 90's, and I might have even given him a vote. He decided to make the run for president, and the Machine, removed his stable, people loving brain, and replaced it with the GREED machine mentality. The machine, controls the money, and media for any political shows. Big business, controls the machine.
We the people, need to look close at these folks that run for office. Most lie, and most have interest that are not intended to help the average Joe. What has this or that party done to help you? Look at where you are and ask the questions that bother you. Who has a plan to do something and not just complaints about what has happened and not happened. In Washington, there are doers and blamers. There are folks that try to fix stuff, and there are those that block every thing. You chose what you want and vote.
