An EPIC/MRA poll out today shows Mitt Romney and Barack Obama in a statistical tie in Michigan, with Romney edging the president 46-45 percent.
The numbers are a reversal from April when the same poll had Obama up 47-43 percent.
"EPIC co-founder John Cavanagh said the softening in support for Obama is likely related to a robust TV advertising campaign by pro-Romney PACs which have been critical of his handling of the economy," the Detroit Free Press writes.
Conservative outside groups have spent a combined total of $3.4 million so far in Michigan.
The Obama and Romney campaigns have spent nothing. All that's been spent there on the Democratic side is $10,000 from Priorities USA.

Whats happening with recent polls is that more and more people are realizing this emperor has no clothes....never did..never will. He has been a President that talked allot about the substance that needed to be changed in Washington and then became more and more of what Americans don't want in Politics. He sold America on the transparency of his administration and the transparency of what was to be the Health Care Debates. It didn't happen...and if it wasn't for back door deals, Obama Care would have never been in acted. Not deals done in front of the camera, again behind closed doors. He spoke how stimulus would bring unemployment down but we have seen it grow under this administration...never got below what he said it would....all talk...all talk. He will be considered the most divisive President ever...pitting blacks against whites...the haves against the have nots...business against unions and the working class.....illegals against legal citizens....and the list goes on and on. He just didn't realize that it was all about the jobs, the economy, not health care. He tried to make that his crowning achievement versus focusing all his energy, laser focus(which never happened), on creating an environment for business to grow and prosper. But just like the supposedly dead heat in WI, which wasn't that close, the one number that should be alarming for Democrats is that allot of these polls reflect registered voters...not those likely to vote which is a more important number. These polls show Romney with a much greater lead. Just as they did in Wisconsin, Barret was down by 5 or more points and loss by seven. Likely voters tells a more interesting story!
If anyone needs any proof of what happens to a city or state under democratic rule, just take a good look at Detroit. The entire city is in shambles, corruption at every level of government, 25% unemployment, infrastructure is crumbling, houses condemned on every street. This is what America will look like if we keep electing these leftist loons. My guess is, the people of Michigan are well aware of this.
Why can't Dem's see their nose on their face? Maybe because it is so far up the donkeys azz in front of them. You lost in 2010,2011 and now 2012 slaughter has begun. You have lost all creditability and common sense. Walker/Wi. is just the beginning so you had better look in the mailbox for those piddly checks and stock up on canned food because welfare is coming to a end. We are going to vote for the other guy because term limits make sense. kick out the illegals and repeal everything in the last 20 years so we can fix this mess. GO USA

That would have been the smartest move in many ways.
1.) A Chapter 11 restructuring wouldn't have cost us a dime.
2.) The GOP plan, (you seem to believe somehow that there was no alternative plan), called for guarantees from the UAW and Business Leaders to clean up their mess, cut the waste and become better competitive.
3.) No one would have lost their jobs under this plan, it simply cut the Automakers debt and let them start from scratch more efficiently.
It would not have cost us Americans one red cent. Bottom line, Obama did NOT bail out the Auto Industry, WE did. It's OUR money that was used, whats so hard to understand about that?
Of course when you totally ignore the other sides facts, and continue to parrot the Obama talking points, you look more foolish and ignorant everytime you do.
The trend is that people are beginning to wise up and are slowly awakening from the Obama trance he seems to have hypnotized the willing minds with.

But you misunderstand, our President is a leader - not a CEO. Not some cardboard stiff in a board room making decisions on the numbers. Our President should lead, inspire, understand, and connect. I'm sorry, but Willard doesn't even know what the name of a damn donut is... "one of those sweet things" - he is so out of touch with you and me and anyone who actually works for a living and pays bills and balances a checkbook and chooses which school to afford.... and on and on and on. He's so stiff he may as well have rigor mortis!

Add me to the ranks of the unemployed, this is really got me angered at the policies of this administration.
The money that got poured into organizations to hire the vet went somewhere, absolutely not to companies to hire vets. And the jobs that are there are all minion jobs starting as if we were fresh out of high school. It really has turned into a mess.
Our economy needs to rebound and fast. It ain't gonna happen under this current team.
Nothing but slow stagnant numbers, no beta to the upside at all.
Soomething needs to change, lets start at the top.
If, in April, Obama was ahead of Romney by 47 to 43, but now Romney is ahead of Obama 46 to 45 after Romney's people spent over 3 million dollars on TV ads, then that is not a seismic shift to disturb Obama. All Obama's people have to do is spend over 3 million dollars and the figures will be reversed. Look, at the end of the day, Americans know the truth about the economy and the candidates, and while Obama has struggled with the economy, they know that Romney is not about Americans, but all about American corporations.
Look at Europe and see where even they are following Obama's lead in trying to save their economies by propping up banks, which will then save companies that employ people. The crisis Obama inherited in 2008 was not confined to America, but global in scope, so for Obama to turn around America, he would have to get help from the rest of the world. Can Romney do that?

The WI election was rigged. Exit polls show Walker losing by several points. Republicans are thieves, liars, crooks and bullies. Robmey is a bigger immature frat boy than Bush. With 0 common sense. But the real question is-do you want the country run by a whack job Mormon? Seriously...

As much as I wanted to see Walker go....the reason the target remained, there was the ridiculous amounts of money Rove and company spent on it, and not much else. Conspiracies and voter fraud aren't _impossible_, but we're not dealing with people who are smart enough to pull this kind of thing off, to be honest--to accuse them of this kind of thing is to gravely overestimate their intelligence.
It's about the money, Lebowski, and also, tragically, our own gullibility and malleability as voters. It's not about what the people want or don't want, it's about how many of your own you can get to show up at the polls on a single election day. It's as much gullibility on the Cons' side as it is laziness on ours.
Take heart, though; Mittens has the debate ability of a sea cucumber, come debate time, he's going to get demolished.
If Romney actually carries Michigan, then Americans - lemmings that they are - deserve exactly what they will get! Bushv.2.0 - a free-wheeling Wall Street cleaning out everyone's bank account, 401k, piggy bank, and coffee can!

Actually, looking over their actual reprt of the data, I'm not sure how they arrived at this conclusion. Have a look for youselves, folks: It's very early in the morningand I'm very tired, but it looks like they've gotten their one point-winner switched.
Is this a case for showing how buying an election works? 3.4 million vs. 10 thousand spent on ads. Or is there something fundamental going on in Michigan for such a swing to happen? The rest of the country hasn't bought into Mitts since April, so what is going on?
A landline-only robo call poll of only 600. I wouldn't put too much stock in this crap. Bad data gathering, a really poorly worded questionnaire....go look on their site--the way it was conducted means they mostly got retirees and stay at home moms. Can't yet find who paid them to conduct the poll, but....I have a guess or two.
