President Obama isn't running only against Mitt Romney; his campaign also wants to run against the Republican Congress.
And so Obama campaign is up with a new TV ad that touts Obama's jobs plan and notes that Congress refuses to act to pay for it.
It will air in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Script:
The President: "We're still fighting our way back from the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Our businesses have created almost 4.3 million new jobs over the last 27 months, but…we're still not creating them as fast as we want."
Narrator: "The President's jobs plan would put teachers, firefighters, police officers and construction workers back to work. Right now. And it's paid for by asking the wealthiest Americans to pay a little more But Congress refuses to act. Tell Congress we can't wait."

I've just read that Obama's campaign has raised $450 million so far. Let's see- 153 fundraisers, and they're not on track to match 2008, let alone the billion they proposed.
Still, they're spending it like water with nothing to show for it.
The remaining cult members should put their efforts into contributing cardboard boxes and bubble wrap. The Obama's are going to need a lot of them.

What's nice is they used the same narrator recording from when Obama was Carnival Barking about the 2009 "Stimulus" bill. Saved them a few bucks.

The House is responsible formulating the budget. Using the budgeting process to build a political platform is not a good faith attempt to fulfill Constitutional responsibilities.

How bout if we compromise, and from now on I'll refer to Mitt as Governor "Mitt the Unfit", and you can refer to O as President_______. You can fill in the blank. Is it a deal?

We are still operating under GOP/Bush-era policies mentioned above, and we have been for over a decade. Since 2010 the Teapublicans have had a huge majority in the House and break even in the Senate. Where are the JOBS?
If the GOP/TP really wanted to create jobs, they would really have bills that could be passed that would really create jobs. And how about them voting against the Jobs Act, or even the little 5-point Plan the president just gave to congress? Get a clue.

I keep a photo of President Obama by my desk, because it inspires me to see him, especially when it gets crazy here. That's what a President is for: inspiring people, letting them know he is looking out for the middleclass, working people, and defending teachers! Mitt Romney's only purpose is to defend the 1%. He only pays less than 14% of his income in taxes, and he's proud of it! I happen to think we should share the sacrifice required to pay for Bush's two wars. Certainly Mitt's family, and others in his tax bracket, didn't share the physical sacrifices.
AMY: Are you still teaching, or are you on Summer break? Just wondering. If school is still in session, put the picture of President Obama in your desk drawer and GET BACK TO WORK!

The Republican "job creator" tax gifts are prolonging unemployment. However, just like the myth of "trickle-down", which is actually capitalism running backwards, the dogma is as permanent as Roman Catholic theology. Results have nothing to do with observable facts. You have to accept "job creators" by faith. How many billions of dollars does it take for a billionaire to create a job?
THEORY:
If you give enough dollars away to a wealthy person, they will create a job for someone to make nothing to sell to nobody, out of gratitude.
Republican Theory:
If you promise jobs, jobs, jobs, but say no, no, no, people will blame somebody else.
You have to marvel at the lack of intellectual honesty of reporters. There is no "Republican" congress. Congress is split between the two parties. THe Democrats control the Senate and the Republicans control the House. Right now, the Democrats block all measures passed by the Republican House. The Republican House blocks President Obama's initiatives, however vfew they may be. The Senate proposes nothing, no even a budget. Any reporter with any basic journalistic skill would never refer to a "Republican Congress" since it doesn't exist.
No, the Republicans control the Senate. In case you haven't noticed, the Democrats in the Senate have hardly even discussed anything, much less actually voted because the Republicans use the filibuster to prevent anything from even coming to the floor. That looks to me like the Republicans are controlling the Senate.
