UPDATED 11:52 PM ET
With updated exit poll data in, Wisconsin recall voters said they would pick President Obama over Republican Mitt Romney by a 51-44 percent margin.
Caution, though, on the results -- 10 to 12 percent of the electorate voted absentee, and absentees are not included in the exit poll.
Exit polls show incumbent Gov. Scott Walker (R) with a big lead, about 14 points, over Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D). He leads by 19 points with men, while Barrett leads by five points with women. Both make up 50 percent of the electorate. Raw vote showed Walker up nine, 54-45 percent with 87 percent of precincts reporting.
If Walker is able to stave off the challenge and keeps his job, the Obama-Romney head-to-head numbers will throw cold water on analyses claiming the recall is a harbinger for this fall's presidential election.
Just 20 percent of Wisconsin voters said their personal financial situation had gotten better in the past two years; 44 percent said it was the same; 36 percent said it had gotten worse.
Despite that, voters didn't appear to blame President Obama. By a 42-38 percent margin, Wisconsin voters thought Obama would do a better job improving the economy than Romney, with 19 percent saying neither of them.
And by a 46-37 percent margin, voters said Obama would do a better job helping the middle class.

And Walker leads by 5.
How odd that MSNBC failed to note that.
Hey Dominico - your bias is showing. Or is it you just didn't think that little nugget was important.
After all this recall is all about team O, right?
Silly libbie bias.
Why act like a child?
[Why act like a child?]
Oh! Oh! Me! Pick ME!
Is it because he IS a child?
...a lawyerin' man-child...
Ain't that right "counselor"...
Wow, did you see the poll numbers...48% of the voting population in Wisconsin have no idea about economics...
Give We the People some credit - Voters are smarter than you think - they vote Republican state-wide, but Democratic nationally.
Because Democratic national economic policies are a winner and can help state economy -
Look what Clinton did - prosperity for all
Look what Bush did - budget crisis for all - that is why Wisconsin has been in such a trouble.
Obama 2012 !
Well, they had to pull something out of their azz to get a positive spin off this election... Figured something like that would happen... Progressives don't admit defeat. If they lose, it's "Aw, nobody really thought we'd win anyway"....
Well, they had to pull something out of their azzz to get a positive spin off this election... Figured something like that would happen... Progressives don't admit defeat. If they lose, it's "Aw, nobody really thought we'd win anyway"....
Yay, Obama 2012! And Elizabeth Warren garnered 95% of the vote in the primary against Brown in MA!!! Maybe there's hope after all that Dirty Energy can't keep us divided forever & people WILL stop voting against their own best interests and sole habitat!!!
There may be a sense of fairness at play here as well. Walker won the election fair and square. He did what he said he would do while campaigning. Unions did not like it, and hence the recall.
It makes sense to say you want to give your governor a full 4 year term because he earned it. They may also like Obama, although I am at a loss to understand why.
The silly college kids probably don't care about collective bargaining for public workers ( if they even know what that means). They will still vote like sheeple for Obama in November.
Good news is we don't need Wisco to take the White House.
Romney 2012!
Come on Scott Walker. We need to have Obama a 1 and out.
Walker never, ever, said he would strip collective bargaining rights while campaining or at any other time for that matter. EVER!
And he admitted to congress under oath that his stripping of collective bargaining did nothing to improve budgets.
Nice try, but I gotcha!
Dee, FYI Warren and Brown did not face each other in the democrat primary.
Pocohantas will face Scott Brown in the fall election. She is slightly behind in most polls and the last 4 weeks of her stupidity tell us why.
I think they must have taken the exit poll in Milwaukee the democratic strong hold. Take this same survey in Waukesha and the numbers would surely be flipped. Another example of the media not providing all the facts but plenty of there opinion. I believe this is referred to as yellow.
Mark L,
"48% of the voting population in Wisconsin have no idea about economics..."
Maybe not, but maybe they know something about politics.
@TRG
They have to try and put "lipstick on a pig". The voters of Wisc are not thinking about the November election today...doesn't really matter what the exit polls have to say.
Pigotry
Walker's message is cut spending to be responsible. Obama is soak the rich to be responsible.
Dream on - the people in those in the exit polls were just lying, plain stupid or have no idea there's an election in November. right? Or they just haven't yet discovered that Romney has the cures for all our economic problems. Surprisingly, new polls show that people think Obama can handle the economy better than Romney.
Babina,
Yes he did.

Inside the blog actual sources are cited.
Walker's running for president and has a better rating then Mitt? (oO)
The exit poll numbers for the election itself are sequestered until all polls have closed. That has been a joint policy of the media organizations for a number of years. Some websites leak the 5 o'clock numbers, but they are often not reliable.
Thus, don't be surprised if your "Walker by 5" turns into a dead heat when the final exit poll numbers are released.

According to published data compiled by non-partisan research, the government has been reduced, not increased, definitely smaller than W. Bush -
at the same time, Wall Street fat cats not only caused the great recession which led to disappearance of trillions of wealth, but also got bailed out with tax money.
Guess who wastes money and squanders money?
Got to hand it to SPanks - he's a thinker like we is: WE IS THE TEA PARTY!
What a joke - no reporting on Walker being ahead in the exit polling. MSNBC....the real "faux news" outlet...
Walker is more Popular in Wisconsin than Romney is...and they shut down the state for a year and tried to recall him...the RNC has handed President Obama his Second Term...The American People wanted a choice and the RNC wanted a rubber stamp, Big Government Liberal...
People are looking for balance.
Such a shame, MSNBC is falling apart tonight. Here's what you get when you try to read the story of the election results:
So sad, too bad, MSNBC, or should we say MNDNC! What ever will you do in November Obama looses in a Carter-esque LANDSLIDE? I'll be that the thrill running down Chris Matthew's leg will be warm urine.
.
As of this Posting, Walker has won the election but good old MSNBC "link" to the Breaking News is not working.... (wonder why) Even when Obama was elected I had( (and still have) hope for America's resiliency, tenacity and adaptability.... We are America. Liberal, Conservative, Gay or Straight , we can have a discourse agree or disagree. So regardless of this election or the general in November I just want to leave this note:
I appreciate you all.. weather your saved are not, Republican or Democrat, I appreciate your points of view, fiery, lively (if not always friendly) discussions. I'm a Christian, Black, Conservative but I learned some things, became a better debater, tempering my shrill without quenching my passion or compromising my stance in these various threads... made friends (and a few "nemesis" WHERE YOU AT FIESTY, BUSYMONSTER) and all in all I'm enjoying it.
So as we bump heads and "discuss" (or argue) these different topics... lets remember the COH, Golden Rule and a mutual respect... (don't collapse opposing views, disparage some just because they don't "see" it your way.. etc) God Watch over you all with Mercy and God Bless America!!!
Not that the niceties is over with... (ding, ding) Let the silliness begin.... POTUS Obama is on the way out and I'm going to help him out the door... (PS.. I was sincere about my previous statements.... and about the President) (snicker)
Wasn't the early exit polling showing a victory for Barrett tonight too? So much for the accuracy of exit polls.
Amazing how the dumba$$e$ in Wisconsin can vote against working families in the Wal-Mart "free work state" Governor, but vote for Obama in the exit poll. One thing is for sure, it is BIG Money that is running our government at all levels now.
@Flame77_7... so you say you are a Christian? What does your Jesus say about the rich getting into heaven??? What is the ruling on the Rich Young Ruler, or Lazarus who went to hell because he let the poor suffer at is gate and did not use his wealth to help??? Guess what a$$wipe, your rich cronies who are buying our democracy may win the battle here in this life, but they will get their just reward in heaven...THAT is what your good book says. Oh, and what is it that sends the goats into eternal hell in Matthew??? Those who don't lift a finger to help the "least of these." LOL! Christian my a$$.....
@citizen of the world: Ok... I can address this; I'll refrain from using scripture (so you can understand)
Abraham:.... RICH.... Solomon VERY RICH... JESUS... not as "poor" as you think... His cloak was so valuable that the guards gambled over it at His Crucifixion. As to what your referring in Walker's (and Republicans) case; The same "process that got Obama elected is the same process that will (not) re-elect him. I guarantee this... you may work for a "company" (assuming you are employed in this Obama economy) and you may make a fair living for yourself.... but you don't have as much wealth as the one who OWNS the company. Is he evil... because he successful?... should he not use his wealth to get that which is good for his company... effect change that he believes is in his best interest?.... If you were in a position to give to the Barrett Campaign so he could match dollar for dollar Walker supporters gave... Would you withhold it to say "It is evil to give so I'll with hold."
The Rich man went to hell not because he was rich... because he withheld compassion.. The Rich young ruler went away sorrowful because he valued his riches more than salvation (remember his question) Money is not the root of all evil it is the LOVE of money that is. Why does the Bible say Luke 16:9 make a friend of mammon (riches) ... All Rich people are not good but niether are they all evil.. for it is a mans character that makes him good or evil not what he posseses... you are just as bad as the "evil" rich for he says: "HA.. Because I'm rich, I'm blessed by God"... And you say:
Basically saying "Because they are Rich they are Cursed by God." Your the same...
Ohh I get it.. If they don't give to YOUR cause... If they don't vote YOUR way.... If they don't use THEIR wealth for YOUR purposes... they are evil... got it Thank you.. you have enlightened me.
"Rulers are not a terror to good works"...THAT is Bible...
"If any man lacks wisdom... Ask of the Father and He will give it freely..."
(I hate fighting unarmed opponents...)
We are going to send a message LOUD and CLEAR. Even as the POTUS, you are a ELected Official. Do the job you was elected for, or out in four.
"Exit poll: Obama bests Romney in Wisconsin by 7 points"
MSNBC must really care for their readers. This type of humor really helps to ease the tension from last night's elections.
Dee Turner - You are a typical democrat moron. Elizabeth Warren won 95% of the Democrate delegates at their own convention in Springfield MA by order of the Democratic Machine in Massachusetts the fix was in for her to win the Democrat Nomination. Phone calls and email were sentout before the convention last weekend to make sure there would be the no need for a primary so the Dem Thugs in MA made sure DiFranco couldn't get 15% of the delegates need for a dem primary. This had nothing to do with Scott Brown.
Spanky, it is NBC policy (and that of most other news organizations) not to indicate which way the election is heading until polls close. We can report on other exit poll information, but not head-to-head numbers.
Oh what a load of BS.
Ok Dominico - you asked if their lives had improved in the last two years, how about in the last three, under Obama?
Any reason to ask about two years and not three [other than bias]?
No reason for the vitriol, Spanky. I think we treat you with respect - despite your passionate comments that sometimes veer into cheap shots at us. It's pretty easy to do when you're anonymous, but you're welcome here. Try to keep it civil.
Vitriol?
I note you failed to answer the simple and direct question.
How about this - who came up with the questions?
Civility, huh. Well I take direction from the self professed queen of the board - Feisty. She is, after all nothing if not always civil, right DOminico?
So Dominico - how about it - care to elaborate as to why what appear to be obvious questions were not asked?
Whaaaa! But Feisty does it! I wanna do it toooooooo...
...LoL...nice job "counselor"....seems you're quite the cry baby afterall...
I am happy to answer about how exit polls are created. First, let me say, that we had no hand in writing the questions. Exit polls are a joint effort between the news organizations -- AP, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox, etc. In other words, we all chip in since the polls are very expensive to conduct with such a large number of people in so many precincts throughout the state. The exit polls are written by various polling types within the news organizations in the consortium and agreed upon by all sides. I am not completely certain who had a hand in writing them specifically, but I hope that helps in shedding some light on how it all works.
And, of course, I would ask for civility from ALL commenters.
Oh, I'm totally a crybaby.
So what else you got Mickster?
Mickey - I just hope you are enjoying this night as much as I am.
Damn, I usually try not to drink on school nights, but this might just warrant a festive happy cocktail.
Of course Dominico.
And Dominico - as the 'hand of god', why would you bother getting down in the dirt with us?
Me, I'd stay behind the curtain if I was you all.
So you spread troll-dung because you believe someone else does?
Most people abandon the "they do it too" meme sometime prior to adulthood.
Far less puerile, Spanky, to say that your vitriol is independent and self-directed.
Sweet word there - puerile.
But to your point, most people say they abandon such behavior. Then again, people say a lot of stuff they don't actually mean.
But surely not you dwillie.
[So what else you got Mickster?]
Me? Just my my quick wit and the ability to get under your thin skin like a chigger...not too hard to do, by the way...did I tell you that? I must have, right?
Huh. I thought I did...
[Me, I'd stay behind the curtain if I was you all.]
Whaaa!
Oh counselorrrrrr....come out, come out where ever you areeeeee.......! LoL....sorry, I couldn't resist...
Drinking on a school night, Spanky? Bombay Sapphire? You know...the one in the pretty blue bottle?
Under my skin - an anonymous post on a random board?
Wow, you must have one very simple life.
I guess you are...Lucky?
Sapphire it is. Again, great suggestion.
Surely not.
Everything I post is deliberate, Spanky, and any mordancy is intentional.
Spamky don't listen to no reason. He is TP thru and threu...
spanky is one of us. be proud
OUCH - THAT one had to sting!
This is how SpankMe & his ilk treat the hosts - what a class act these people are!
If Willard isn't insulting cookies - you've got SpankMe spitting his venom at the very people who allow us this forum to participate in...
Sure says a lot about whatever thought process the tea baggers might posses!
*shakes head*
Spanky
You asked why 2 years and not three? Becasue this election is about Walker, who has served for 2 years and the question pertains to how wisconsinites have faired under this failed governor. If the question was about how people have faired over the last three years it would have ben a more dramtic shift left, since that gets us all the way back to the Bush dperession and his irrational spending on endless wars with not benefits to US citizens and to the great detriment of our economy and society in general. How you want to pay for the 3 million PTSD cases we now have. Oh ya I know cut spending at VA just like ush did when he cut taxes for the rich
dwillie -
I love words, but I confess I had to look up "mordancy". Now I feel very trenchant, so thanks!
P.S. - Coincidentally enough, the "word of the day" today at dictionary.com is "apoplectic". Insert your own punchline here!
[Under my skin - an anonymous post on a random board?]
Yeah, isn't it amazing how it keeps you awake at night? Sweet thing, the power of suggestion.
So, hows it going in Cali? High gas prices...business failing..."eeeevil libruls" in charge...but somehow, you manage to stay...
...so, just when ARE you moving out of Cali? I mean, it's sooooo bad there, right Spanky?
It must really suck to have no control over the simplest things in your life...
...you're just like everyone else, aren't you Spanky. Make no mistake about it...just. like. EVERYONE. ELSE.
...no better...
...no worse...
Oh, wait...I take that back...you did say you're a "conservative" today, right? So I guess you really are screwed.
[You asked why 2 years and not three? Becasue this election is about Walker, who has served for 2 years and the question pertains to how wisconsinites have faired under this failed governor.]
redplate,
Just let good old Spanky here put his foot in his mouth...it makes for great entertainment. Wait until he goes on his "daily talking point" bender...it's quite amusing, as it is when he's had a drinkie-poo...or three. He just can't seem to hold his liquor.
Oh, did he tell you he's a "lawyer" yet?
(psssst...just don't mention "tax codes"...the mere utterance of the phrase really gets his panties in a wad.)
Easy one Mickey - too much money to be made here.
BUt yeah, just like everyone.
I just hope you feel better no Mickey.
you do, right?
Excellent.
President Obama over Romney in Wisconsin. And this surprises who?
Scott Walker and Spanky were a little take aback Mac...
Might surprise the electorate.
Let's have a little look at another state Obama is sure he can swing- Arizona. Supposed to be a toss up; supposed to be a state Obama can take from the GOP column. So, how to explain this?
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/06/05/az_candidate_recruited_by_obama_i_have_no_connections_to_president_obama.html
Now, sorry- but if Obama had a chance at all of taking Arizona, do you think a man Obama himself recruited would be denying he's ever even spoken to him?
[President Obama over Romney in Wisconsin. And this surprises who?]
OH! OH! I know...Me...Pick ME!
Spanky!
spanky-------------------look surprised.
Poor NoJo...grasping at straws again...
Soooo...NoJo...just how much ARE you getting in your New Joisey teachers' pension checks these days?
Snookie-Joe - what the hell are YOU drinking this evening?
Jaysus, talk about going over the bend(er)! lol
Mickey,
She's not grasping at the straw - she has both of her wrinkly lips wrapped around one!
Thankfully, she isn't 'poll-dancing' tonight - that is NOT a pretty picture!
I too love words, JoAnne, and no one should feel chagrin in using a thesaurus or dictionary to write with accuracy or assure accurate understanding of what someone else has written (I looked up trenchant : - } ).
Apoplexy is what I expect to see from republibaggerservatives if the good people of Wisconsin manage to tell the Koch brothers where they can stick their millions.
Dominico - even releasing the other things asked in the exit polls can influence who shows up later.
Spanky, may as well let the Libs have this one. After all, given that even InTrade is trending south for poor Obama in recent weeks, it's about all they've got these days...
Domenico - "We can report on other exit poll information, but not head-to-head numbers."
Translation: Walker is winning so we decided to ignore it and "poll" some people for some feel-good propaganda for the sheep.
Why there is no mention of many people or haw many Democrats or Republicans were polled? Surely the liberals wouldn't pick people wearing Union buttons or carrying "recall Walker" signs more than intelligent Americans.
Feisty Redhead Roselle, IL,
Welcome back, some of us missed seeing your post...
That doesn't mean I agree with them...
President Obama will roll Romney in the election. He deserves a 2nd term and will get one. The economy is bouncing back but slower than expected. This country is still recovering from the Insane Bush Clown Party.
LIVE UPDATES: 10:06 PM Well this is a surprise. What was predicted to be a close race has been dominated by Walker. With over 30% of polls reporting, Walker is the projected winner ... and by notching almost 20% of the vote. Analysis to come.
I'll translate your post for you. You"re an i d i o t.
So Dominico - care to comment on the validity, or, umm, lack thereof, of you fantastic exit polls?
Oh and Dominico, about 45 minutes ago it was 'too close to call' and huge dem turnouts.
So, ummm, what happened?
Scoreboard my man.
Oh and Tell Chuch T. he was just a tad off.
Domenico Montanaro
Perhaps if you can't answer any questions about MSNBC's liberally biased pathetic reporting, perhaps you can explain to us all why you pay Fiesty Redhead to post comments on the Newsvine, and why she's able to have the FIRST POST in so many political articles?
1) Is Fiesty an MSNBC or DNC employee?
2) Why hasn't Fiesty ever been "suspended" due to repeated violations of the Newsvine "Code of Conduct"?
3) Why does Sally suspend other people for lessor slights, but turns a blind eye to Fiesty and other liberals?
.
Wow- the Walker Wins thread has gone 404.
So, guys- take a serious second look with a jaundiced eye at that good news for Obama in the earlier exit polls. Looks like there were some pretty significant problems with the weighting.
Too close to call is now a double digit blow out. Tell you anything?
VICTORY FOR WALKER, VICTORY FOR TEA PARTY, VICTORY FOR WISCONSIN. Big union lost , all the Democrats that abandon their State congress in support of the union that fill their pockets lost. Walker show that his decisions to bring Wisconsin back on track ,prove that action maters.
MSNBC pathetic closing comments.
Walker 57%
Barrett 42 %
Wisconsin turn RED. Walker won in the battle of ideas.
Ahhh, I almost feel sorry for big Eddy Schultz.
Poor silly bastard.
But seriously how ignorant did you have to be not to see this coming?
And these guys are supposed to the the pros.
Wait a minute folks.....There should be a "recall vote" on the Exit Poll, and let the Unions pay for it.
Oh, dear Lord,...we're back to the Feisty First bs?
Geez, Feisty, you'd think they'd have something more important to drivel about?
I see not much has changed,...still swamped at work,...Keep up the good fright!
Let's see...Obama won Wisconsin by 14% in 2008.....
The exit polls have him up by 7%....that's a 7 point DROP folks and the real campaigns just started.....
Add to that, those same exit polls had the Walker-Barrett race tied at 50%-50%....and Walker won 53%-47%...a 7 point difference.....
Take that same 7% "wrongness" and subtract it from Obama's Exit Poll numbers and he is at ZERO.....
Obama's 14 points have Vanished....Wisconsin will go decidedly RED come November...Even Wisconsin Democrats, Unions will remember that the best Obama would do for them was send a late night last minute Tweet. Their "enthusiasm" balloon is completely deflated....
I sure hope the disease in Wisconsin does not spread to Minnesota. I live on the border, I will not spend another dollar on the other side of the Mississippi in Wisconsin.
Now we all know why Obama flew OVER Wisconsin twice in the last couple of days don't we? Boy the Democrats and the unions are sure proud to have thier guy (OBAMA) dis them like that. Wonder how loyal they will be in november, maybe they will return the favor. As far as the exit poll, not even close.
I must be getting old. I swear there were several states in the Republican primary in which a winner was called before or literally minutes after the polls closed and NBC was included in the bunch.
Regardless of the above I sure would like to know why you folks think making up bogus delegate counts based on some ridiculous criteria you made up yourselves and that varies with every news agency is "reporting". If you are going to make up your own news, fine but you should make it clear you are reporting your OPINION, not facts, and should provide the REAL facts (the real count) on the same article.
You are exactly right pjam, MSN contributors are paid, not to report the news but to SPIN it liberal, despite the cost to their integrity. At one time being called a "reporter" carried with it the distinction of honesty. As a child I sat with my parents and watched the "news", with the likes of Cronkite on the screen, and believed I was being told the truth. But as I grew older and as "options" to the "usual" news sources began cropping up, I was introduced to a new term, "liberal bias". In my opinion there is nothing more "swarmy" as hypocrisy. There is no reference point in my life that I can point to when I realized, news agencies like CBS and NBC decided to no longer "report the news" but instead simply be stenographers for the DNC. Be it when they "exposed" GWB's " National Guard papers, or how they ran a "running tally" of fallen soldiers during the Iraq war, but ignored same under Obama, this "tainted" exit poll comes with no surprise. A real "reporter" would not attach his or her name to this vine, nor would they have taken the time to desperately try to SPIN any kind of a win out of Wisconsin. But I guess thats what you have to do when you work as a "reporter" for the DNC............sorry MSN.
So DOminico - how many said their life has gotten better under Obama?
You all did ask that question, yes?
If not, why not?
Seems odd to not ask that question.
Geez, Spanky, do you need Domenico to read the article to you out loud?
"Just 17 percent of Wisconsin voters said their personal financial situation had gotten better in the past two years; 44 percent said it was the same; 38 percent said it had gotten worse.
Despite that, voters didn't appear to blame President Obama. By a 45-37 percent margin, Wisconsin voters thought Obama would do a better job improving the economy than Romney, with 17 percent saying neither of them.
And by a 48-35 percent margin, voters said Obama would do a better job helping the middle class"
Exit polling is fraught with problems- witness Virginia in 2004. If you believed the exit polling, (as some networks did), Kerry was carrying the state handily. If you waited for the returns to come in, your network spared itself the embarrassment of having to change the way it called the state.
The single biggest issue with exit polling is the assumptions made by the polling organization. Those assumptions lead them to weight for certain turn-out- and often they are completely wrong. Thus, the weighting here is based on the assumption that the voting majority in Wisconsin is made up of disgruntled union members. That's a leap- union membership has declined precipitously since union dues were made voluntary.
All of this adds up to not believing the Obama approval numbers in the state as quoted in this article. But, go on ahead and believe it, if it suits you- it will make a hard landing even harder, but I suppose delusions are pleasant to the deluded.
And which email did you glean that little gem of information from this time, NoJo?
Spanky, just take the beat-down...
...quit while you're ahead...really...you should...
Dude, you use the term beat down, but the manner in which you used it indicates that it does not mean what you think it means.
Now, if you were talking to Barrett, the Wisconsin labor movement, or libbies in general - then spot on champ.
Dominico
How long is it going to take you to figure out you are dealing with a correspondent who has a different vision of reality than most other folks?
[Dude, you use the term beat down, but the manner in which you used it indicates that it does not mean what you think it means.]
Dude...like, hey...stop with the So Cal vernacular...'k? I mean, really...like...gnarly...how old ARE you?
...gotta go...surfs up... |...|
...totally...
...as in totally on the sauce...
Oh, what a same - Mickey don't surf.
One of life's real joys my man.
Spanks, now wez the minoority
but they are smart enough to know it'd be worse under Romney
[Oh, what a same - Mickey don't surf.]
What a same? I think you mean "shame"...
Anyhoo...yea, see...'cause surfing the Joisey Shoor isn't So Cal...but hey..gotta take what waves God gives you, right "counselor"?
But at least I can weld...so can Amy...
...it must totally suck to not be able to weld...so tell us Spanky, just how much does it suck...you know...to not be able to weld?
Oh it sucks Mickey.
Good thing I know some guys that are excellent welders.
They're probably union workers
[Good thing I know some guys that are excellent welders.]
...yeabut...
...yeabut...
...yeabut...the whole point is that YOU can't weld...
...seems like you missed that part...or you're just not bright enough to catch on. Besides, it must REALLY suck to have to pay someone to do something soooo simple...kinda like mowing your lawn...you DO mow your own lawn, don't you Spanky?
So which is it, "counselor"...?
How funny, it's like reading posts from 5th graders. Do you five have to take up the entire board so no one else can get a word in? Why not stick to one thread and berate each other there? Perhaps some of the people who actually live in Wisconsin might want to comment, ya think? If I wanted to read this drivel I would have went to yahoo and teased the rascists.
As my great great great grand daddy always said, arguing politics on the internet is like competing in the special olympics, even if you win you're still retarded.
BodyDouble -
Speaking only for myself - I find the discussion amusing. Classic keyboard warfare by American keyboard warriors. Lighten up, BodyDouble, it's just another day in the life of the 'Vine. Don't be such a party pooper.
Mickey is that your attempt to write Barrett's concession speech?
Nice, I like it.
okay listen so you wont forget next time when the discussion of polls comes up again. the liberal press and we all know who they are CNN,ABC NBC CBS AND THE ONLINE NEWS does these so called "exit polls' they get their folks out their at the voting areas and they ask "excuse me did you vote would you mind letting me know how you voted anf if it was for the democrat , the next quest is are you going to vote for obama? so they get as many as they need in the percents that look good and then the annouce that to the public. sopeeps do not be fooled by these damn polls. it could be how the question is qasked on and on.
Spanky-
Source????
Oh, I forgot;
You always make a point of omitting sources and authorities, expecting everyone to take what you say as fact because YOU said it....
my bad.
Open your eyes Stupid.
This is the age of information. Information at your finger tips.
You just gots to know where to look.
So I take it to mean that you don't really HAVE any source huh...
Good golly Stupid I have just looked at three other websites that all have exit polling [polling obviously not conducted by Dominico/MSNBC] showing Walker up by 5.
In fact I bet if you google Walker exit polls, you'd be able to find it.
So yu ought to stop with your silly inferences. You are flat wrong, as per usual.
"...per usual."?
You know, I was wrong once...
but I thought I was wrong, so even then, I was right.
And still no source citations from the little rascal...
[You just gots to know where to look.]
Uh...Spanky...pull up your pants...you won't find anything there...
[Source????]
Spanky has no source...only blind speculation and "opinion"
...ani't that right, "counselor"?
Just one, eh Stupid?
Wow, you are either totally awesome, or delusional.
Still can't get that google button to work, eh?
Just cite the source Spanks...that'll "shut the libbies up", right?
Yeah, you know I'm right...Spanky Google...LoL
personal attacks - please sanction Mr. Spanky - he don'd crossed the line~!!
Oh Mickey, and here I thought you got me and all.
'Shut the libbies up'?
Absolutely not.
Come on Mickey you all are so very entertaining.
Please - more.
[Please - more.]
Quit whilst you're ahead...Spunks....
...remember the direction in which you should be heading...
Don't want to scare you any more spankmeister, but JUST FOR THOUGHT -- 10-12% of Wisconsin electorate voted in absentee voting, and those numbers are not reflected in any exit polling today.
Stupid - it's 7:16 pm.
Care to comment?
Come on, it'd be fun.
Oh and don't blame me for gloating - it's the Sapphire.
Mickey made me drink tonight.
This is starting to get really good!
Record turn-out in Milwaukee county... is just what Tom Barrett needed!
If Walker is so popular, why is he down by 6 points?
*popcorn* anyone?
It sure is.
119% turn out in Milwaukee.
Outstanding. Another libbie meme fail - high turnout = dem wins.
Nope.
That's in Madison, Spanks, not Milwaukee, and there's a perfectly logical explanation:
"The state’s Republican counties are also experiencing high turnout, but it was a statement from Madison City Clerk Maribeth Witzel-behl that turnout is on pace to hit 119 percent that got the right wing conspiracy machine rolling.
The right has taken to Twitter to claim that this is evidence that Democrats are cheating and voter fraud is everywhere, but thanks to same day voter registration it is entirely possible to turnout go over 100% as people who show up and register the same day are not counted in the initial voter registration numbers for a precinct. In fact, CNN is reporting that polling places are running out of same day voter registration forms."
Like you said, Spanky - "This is the age of information. Information at your finger tips.
You just gots to know where to look."
http://www.politicususa.com/high-wisconsin-turnout-sends-republicans-panic-mode.html/comment-page-1/
And Walker & his goons are attempting to force potential voters to produce picture ID in Deerfield in (another corupt) violation of law...
Uh, Joanne - where did I say anything about fraud?
You are trying way too hard.
Ease up and enjoy the night. It's gonna be good.
Hey spankme, Walker's already lost no matter who wins. He had to outspend his opponent by a 3 to 1 margin and unless it's a complete landslide, which all indicators are that it won't be, it's an epic failure. Wisconsin will be blue in November, which will make you tea tarts blue as well.
Hope you have plenty of Bombay Sapphire on hand Spanky...you may just need it...
Oh, and did I tell you that's what my wife drinks? She likes the pretty blue bottle...
So, why do YOU drink it, "counselor"?
You know what Mickey, I don't drink a lot of gin, but when I do it usually is Sapphire.
And I happen to have a 1/2 full 1.75 bottle in my cabinet.
Excellent call my man.
Good think there are still some limes on my tree. :)
Hey there Redhead. Just coming back from 5 days in the penalty box. Seems that I insulted a bagger and they complained to the management, earning me a timeout. Just like typical bullies, when they're winning it's okay, but as soon as you have them pinned down, they cry to teacher that they are a victim. Oh well, whatch ya gonna do? Didn't want to think i've abandoned the cause.
Welcome back, tonybeerm, and the 'baggers can be a sensitive lot.
Spanky: I NEVER read what you write since you are with a doubt the most reprehensible person that posts. But, with your habit of stalking Amy on FR, you need to NOT complain about anyone else.
You owe her an apology, for many things, but that would require class. One cannot expect class of those who do not possess it.
Spanky! (yeah I guess it may be the inbreeds or somethin)
I saw that Tony!
We had the yellow ribbons tied on your behalf - welcome back & don't go straying off the reservation again... ya hear! ;o)
Plenty of them roaming the ranch around here these days... any wonder Willard is their idol?
Oh NewDay I am sorry for Amy.
Sorry she is a 60 plus year old receptionist making $12 per hour. That has to be very difficult.
Sorry that she has no retirement saving and is now dependent on entitlement programs. That will make for a very difficult retirement.
Heck, I'm sorry she feels that Condoleeza Rice is a failure. I think anyone who has reached the level of Sec. of State is a success.
Hows's that NewDay? And New Day - I did not complain about anyone. You do understand the difference between a citation and a complaint, yes?
Not only is it record turn out, in the heavily Democratic districts the turnout is so heavy that extra election workers needed to be moved in to deal with the new registrations.
Barrett is still ahead. Don't slow down now...
Come'on, send Walker to the unemployment line.
Welcome back Tony :-)
NDD,
Are you kidding me? That would require integrity something of which a bottom feeder like SpankMe knows nothing about...
Is it any wonder a bully like this twerp would support Willard? These filthy misognists eat & sleep bullying people, women in particular!
Talk about a little BIG man...
Bill,
We have come to far to turn back now...
Like I said Spanky; that kind of elitist snobbery, attacking someone you don't know, and have no reason to know anything about is beyond the pale.
But mostly what it makes clear is your neediness. You think you impress us with posts like this. I wind up feeling very sorry for you.
Bet you won't make San Diego Mags, list of top attorneys any time soon, will you?
Feisty:I don't think Spanky supports anyone except his own ego, which must be constantly fed.
[...I don't think Spanky supports anyone except his own ego, which must be constantly fed.]
Funny thing about Spanky...it's soooo easy to hide behind a keyboard. After all, he does get enjoyment out of picking on the women here...that in itself is a serious character flaw...
...ain't that right "counselor"...
Yeah...I'm right...again.
He sure does, Mickey. Makes him a big man, doesn't it? Freaking bully is what he is. He never tries that with me. I find him too easy to ignore, and it drives him NUTS!
[I find him too easy to ignore, and it drives him NUTS!]
Spanky has me on "ignore"...but it seems he's to dense to find the button to actually do it.
13 minutes ago - Drudge is saying that sources are reporting that the exits will show Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker holding a five-point lead over his Democratic challenger in the recall. see http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2012/06/05/exits-obama-voters-may-back-walker-wisconsin-recall/

I see math wasn't your best subject
thanks NDR, and Bill in Mill Creek. Glad to be back in the ring. The bully baggers have this idea that we are all flower children that turn the other cheek. Got news for ya'all. Not this guy. I hit back. So, that I get sent away from time to time is no deterrent. It's shows that I bother them and to me, that's half the battle. Rock on, amigos. We're going take this all the way to November and then, after we stomp their bums, we're gonna party like it's 1999!
Um, not to brag or nothing, but I already have NewDay.
So gang, what else you got?
Oh and NewDay - this is YOU ignoring ME?
Interesting.
Really, Spanky? I still get San Diego Mag, perhaps you could let us know who you are. After all, you don't mind the publicity, a needy beggar like you, right? Remember, they aren't writing about the office boys.
Mostly, Spanky, you bore the living hell out of me, your penchant for attacking a woman that you don't know just makes you pathetic. Your lack of analysis about ANYTHING going on in this world is shameful, and denotes a lack of perspicacity that is alarming, if you really were an attorney, which of course you are not.
But it was fun watching Domenico politely take you apart.
Ah Newday - I hate to burst your bubble, but that stuff is part politics, part the work of publicists, and mostly just a popularity contest.
It means very little.
I would say that you probably already know that, but the one thing that I am learning about you libbies is just how gullible you al are.
Or at least a lot less jaded than most conservatives I know.
You have a lovely night NewDay. Get your rest - these next few months are going to be bad for you all.
How is that Arts degree doing???
60 is what percent larger than 49???
BTY- I just pasted the headline.
Some of us can do simple math...
Ah, poor Spanky. Retiring from the field of battle already? I know exactly what goes on with San Diego's lists, and I seriously doubt we would find you on any of them.
As I said, it was fun watching Domenico take you apart. A lot more fun than watching you bully someone you don't know. Here is the thing you don't get about that Spanky. That says NOTHING about Amy, but it does say plenty about you. I know what your game is here, you want to divert threads to yourself so that you can feel like the big man, which is why I generally ignore you.
But knock off the bullying. If you were an attorney, YOU are the guy that gives the rest of them a bad name.
Fiesty (post 5.0)
Is it still good for you Sweetie? It's only going to get better in November!!!
NOBAMA 2012!
.
Thanks for inviting us Fisty, the show has been great. The popcorn seems to be exceptional tonight.
Walker is the projected winner in Wisconsin. The exit poll data that shows O'bama SEVEN points ahead of Romney, is the best news I have read tonight. Will Walker change his ways? Will it snow on the equator? Walkers actions will hurt Romney instead of helping the GOP
Obama 51% to Romney's 45% in this exit poll.
I will wait for the final results of the recall votes later tonight.
But this first indication for the general election by my neighbors in WI is a wrench in the Millionaires Mafia and their superpac money.
Maybe , just maybe, a voters will not listen to these negative ads and think for themselves.
Meanwhile, I will wait for Spanky, Bob, etc to spin this exit poll statistic....3...2...1....
Naa Northstar - an exit poll is worthless.
Just ask Dominico and his totally awesome questions.
The note on the other hand.
Outstanding.
Quit crying like a baby Spanky...if you can do better, go start a freaking blog.
...you can call it "Spanky's Little Rascals" and invite NoJo, WCA and Smiffy as "contributing" editors...just think...you could be famous!
Spanksky countin them votes...
Northstar: did you see that the polling in MN on the anti gay marriage amendment is 49% -43%, with gay marriage winning the debate?
NDD,
NO I did not see that poll.
Thanks for the report: outstanding!!!
And the tea party/religious extremist thought this would bring out their base, they forgot about the rest of Minnesota.
Spanky,
I am not a real fan of most polls, but in this case it is people who actually voted today, It does say something.
It is simply an indication of responses today, and I love it that people even stopped and talked to the exit poll guys.
Uh, no it does not.
By contrast the actual results will be out fairly soon.
Ready?
spanky,
Oh, I am ready for the results tonight.
Got a nice bottle of wine, tv on , and all the windows open on this beautiful eveing.
BTW there are over 200,000. absentee ballots to be counted before it is all over.
Heard on MPR that the turnout might be 60-65 or above.
And: 2010 turnout was 49.7%
2008 turnout was 69.2%
Yes.
Are YOU?
Turn out will be in between '08 and '10 - more than '10, less than '08.
They will make the call by 8:00 my time, so just a few more hours.
Uh-Oh Spanks: sorry I can't stay and play, but this may indeed be a long night!
This info can't be good news for you and Walker...
Is that right Stupid?
Huh.
So you all starting to figure out these pundits are monkeys that make crap up?
Or are they just big fat liars?
holy cow! Yet one more masterful deflect and redirect from the left! However, Debbie Downer (DNC Chairman) will always remain the champion of deflect the facts and redirecting viewer attention! With this article, it looks like Walker will win, so it's set up to reduce that harmful implication to the left... It get's redirected to some poll that claims Obama is ahead of Mitt. People on the left remain the same... Wash, rinse and repeat.
Bingo. Got to continue feeding the Democrat sheep the illusion that Americans are not sick of them.
Oh yea we(Democrats) lost again despite spending massive amounts of money, occupying public offices, whining and crying like spoiled children.... but look over here at this "exit poll" we did of people wearing Obama/Biden buttons... it says Obama isn't a total failure... Yay!!!!!!
Spanky. I could accuse you of a lot of things that might or might not be true. The election or recall petition referendum, whatever is called, will likely be decided by a very few votes, no matter which side wins. What is obvious to this old, old man is that the vitrol is about equal on both sides. And the American public suffers for it. Civility should always be the goal for discourse. I have found that persons who use the words "liberal" and/or "Right-wing" tend to actually have no real information that is truthful.
I do not live in Wisconsin, but I have relatives who do. All of my kin will vote to recall, as most of theirneighborhood, I am told. I have no absolute facts, but I believe that if Walker is not recalled, that this country has taken a severe blow.
fred owens -
If you're an old, old man, then I like the way old, old men think. You'd get my vote any time.
As for truthful information, I've always said there are three sides to every story - yours, mine, and what really happened. We all have access to truthful information, we all just cherry-pick the parts of it that suit us. And then garnish that with our vitriol.
I stopped just short of calling someone a blithering idiot on an earlier thread, and I let someone else push my buttons above here. I'm going home now to enjoy the rest of my evening - regardless of the outcome in Wisconsin. But best of luck to your kin - I just think it's awesome to see so many people getting involved for a change.
Wow. This is the problem in America, and I quote "I believe that if Walker is not recalled, that this country has taken a severe blow." Walker is saving Wisconsin from California, Illinois and Michigan's liberal infestation fate. He has already obliterated a huge portion of deficit..... but then, liberals do not comprehend what a balanced budget is. Hey, look at Indiana.... Evan Bayh (the liberal) left Mitch Daniels with a huge problem! TWO years of non payment to the state pension fund and much more liberal fiscal irresponsibility! Indiana now has $1.3 BILLION dollars in the bank surplus.... THAT would never ever happen with ANY liberal, like the one the liberal infestation wants to replace Walker with.
Captain, I loved the way California rolls. Haven't lived in Illinois, but know alot of people there. See, you used the word "liberal" in a derogatory manner. Just sayin'.
"derogatory manner" is a diplomatic way to put it.
Oh, did you know that the communist party supports Obama, the unions and the democratic party?
<dot> org/12-days-to-go-the-election-depends-on-you/
I don't think highly of liberalism, at all.
@Captain Freon #9.4: Communist party huh? Is this party here in the US? How big a party is it? Could all the members fit into a GMC Denali with 3 tiers of seats? Is It listed in any phone books? Yellow pages maybe? Does this party do any public advertising or fund raising? Seems to me to be a phantom party. You aren't on hallucinogenics are you?
MSNBC poll taken outside a Democratic district only asking people with an Obama button on......
I heard that 2 of the people only had Union buttons and "Recall Walker" bumperstickers on their chests, the rest had Obama/Biden buttons.
I don't think this is a valid poll using the recall. I am sure that the % of union turnout is much higher in this election than probably will occur in Nov due to the union thing. Most union people are brainwashed to vote Democratic.
To get a scientific poll , you need a random sample of likely Nov voters, not just the ones that voted here.
Only extremely passionate people vote in recall elections, meaning only far right and far left people are participating. The average Joe and Jane don’t have time or interested. Even so, the margin is still 8% less than it was in 2008 with 4% undecided. Romney is sitting pretty. Who would have thought it would be this close in ultra-blue Wisconsin? And a Tea Party governor at that.
You are right. This is not a true random sample.
Fed, Don and Roadwarrior,
You guys crack me up. LOL
Discount the responses of people who actually voted because: they are "passionate" "trust likely voters more than acutal voters" , this is not "scientific enough" "too many union voters tonight"....
cheers!!!!
What is worth discounting is the bias of the person conducting the poll... there is a reason that the percentages of people who identified themselves as Dem, Repub, or Independent are not provided.
I hope the people of WI step up and send this guy packing. If you are doing what is morally right, then the people will support. Walker let us all know that he was in this with the objective of ending unions, public and private. End of story. He was video taped telling a corporate owner his plan was to divide and conquer. He solved his budget problems by using stimulus money and then decrying the stimulus. His numbers of unemployed grow monthly. He took the housing settlement and used it again to plug a hole in his budget. He secretly signed bills into law to end fair pay for women.
Please middle class vote this guy out. Do it for you wives, your kids, your family and your fellow citizens. He needs to go.
And your unions.
The media tells us its about the economy. ITS NOT. Unless you are part of the 8 percent unemployed, and that's anybodies take because I bet half of those wouldn't vote for Romney if life depended on it. The GOP would like to make it about the economy during the months when the unemployment rate comes in against Americas favor. But for the rest of the 92 percent who wonder why under Romney's plan they pay an additional 2.2 percent income tax, and why capital gains will be cut to 0 percent at a cost on par with the war in Iraq, its not about the economy, its about being sick and tired of another mulit-millionaire calling shots for us.
I don't think capital gains is the big issue you are making it. Stocks are lower than 12 years ago, probably much more losses than gains anyway.
The fact that people in Wisconsin are stupid is not news.
we resemble that remark
These are the Same People that Blamed Bush for Everything that happened on the Planet when he was President . Yet nearly 4 years into his 1st term Obama is Completely Guilt Free from anything that's happened ? Amazing !
LMAO bad subject to bring up...ehem, lying to start wars, while cutting taxes at the same time..then using a former football players death and lying about it as a propaganda tool. Yeah, that bush? Lets not forget the regulations cut in 06 under him also....all because a certain Sec of State, ehem katherine Harris, refused to allow a proper recount...and the infamous flip flop ads...which brings a sense of irony to this election, considering Romney flip flops all over the place and cant run on his one term record because his own party wouldnt vote for him then LMAO
Silly cheeseheads.
By the way, take a look at Waukesha County. The county clerk, Kathy Nickolaus is running the election despite assurances from the County Exec that she would have nothing to do with it given her mishandling of previous elections. Scooter Walker will get more votes in Waukesha County than there are people living in the entire state.
Exactly the point I just made on Facebook. I am just going to sit back and wait for the 'irregularities' to pile up.
Howcan we tax all the conservatives to death if they are busy posting on this blog
instead of working. Maybe just maybe it is their job to harass people who do
not think their way. I hope they get paid a lot, were are sure going to need to
tax them more.
30% of the wage earners receive 70% of the income; this group starts with an income
of 50K. We need a new tax code that taxes all this 30% equally. All income
equally as Ronald Reagan wanted. Since the other 70% really do not have any money.
Good Luck Americans we are all going to need it.
This is normal liberal thinking.... Always thinking the Conservatives should be out working to support the liberals.... and trying to instill guilt on the Conservatives for exercising their 1st amendment rights. BTW, over 50% of the people pay no income tax at all. hmmmm. of course, liberals don't seem to make the connection to that at all. Nor do liberals make the connection that 10% of the people pay 70% of the federal income tax. hmmm. That is something Maddow and Schultz seem to bypass. Yeah.... God help America.
Yep we need to tax people on social security and the disable ones so Mitt and friends can reduce their taxes to 0% since their income isn't earned income. That is the only reason he wants to become President so he can cut his income tax.
hmmm, then maybe it's a spending problem... Like Obongo NOT having a budget in 1,100 days! No budget means not restrictions..... Just scare grandma that SS will stop unless the big bad Republicans vote yes on all the godless spending Obongo wants.. Like spending more in 3 years then Bush did in 8. Of course,m Obongo's steady progression into Cloward-Piven seems to have missed the NBC airwaves.
O'Bama to you Victor Freeze.
Actually, the youngsters seem to be leading the Obama train. They are the one that are going to inherit the results, so why not give them a shot. I think they are dead wrong, but it is their decision. I wish them well.
I really hope that Walker is RECALLED, just to show that all the outside money and influence, won't beat grassroots feet on the ground, door to door, neighbor to neighbor standing up for the working class!
It's disappointing to read all the vitriol by people on Walker side, this is how a true democracy works, if your unhappy with your elected officials, then you put it to a vote.
So no matter how this vote comes out, the people of WI should be proud!
hummbird,
I agree with you 100%.
I think Wisconsin should be VERY proud of the results of the election tonight.
WOW!
I didn't know that Wisconsin was voting for President today.
Does that mean the Obama gets the 10 electoral votes now?
It is pretty pathetic that that is the headline.
It must mean that they already know Walker won.
Yes. It's called the liberal deflect and redirect tactic. Deflect the facts away from the readers/viewers, and then redirect them to speculation and propaganda favorable to the liberal horde power base. That Debbie Downer (DNC chairwoman) is the champion at that one! There is a parody video on you tube on her.
Let me help you with your post, Yes. It's called the TEA Party deflect and redirect tactic. Deflect the facts away from the readers/viewers, and then redirect them to speculation and propaganda favorable to the TEA Party horde power base. That Reincs Preibus (RNC chairman) is the champion at that one! He is a parody of a man. Just as the TEA Party is a parody of a political party
Didn't read every post. But if you would like a preview of what will happen to Wisconsin if Walker loses to the liberals (sorry I just can't bring myself to call them progressives as they aren't trying to go forward as much as backward) take a look at the nuclear train wreck that is California. Public unions run this state, the drum beat is always more taxes or the world will end, budgets are done with smoke and mirrors, and the people who end getting screwed, as usual, are the tax payers, most of whom pay a lot more for their retirement and benefits than public employees. I'll tell you what, I'll trade you Jerry 'moon beam' Brown and the entire California legislature for only one Scott Walker. I'll even through Arnold Schwartzen Wrecker. God help Wisconsin if Walker loses.
Wish we had Scott Walker in NY. Democrats are destroying our economy and their answer is taxes and more taxes rather than cutting. In view of our massive deficit and cutting education, etc., our gov is now prosposing building a new massive convention center in Albany, NY to tune of $400 million and this after spending $millions on new state casino and building a new stadium for the Jets/Giants.
Upstate NY is mostly repub and sadly NYC is democratic so democrats stay in power.
[Wish we had Scott Walker in NY.]
Our state had it's chance at electing an idiot with Caarl Paaladino on the ballot. Good old Caarl "I'm Gonna Knock You Ouuuuuut" Paaladino and Walker are cut form the same cloth: they are both failures. Andrew Coumo is no different than his father was. They are both vultures. He can't wait to get his meaty man-hooks into the State's Pension Fund...too bad he'll have to amend the State Constitution to do it, and that ain't EVER gonna happen.
Nice try at deflection, though. Bloomberg ran as an Independent...i.e. a Republican in sheeps clothing, and NYC gets the bulk of it's revenue from Upstate NY taxpayers, and you said it yourself: Upstate NY is a Republican stronghold.
You and I paid for those freaking stadiums...the tax payers...if the owners wanted new stadiums so bad, let them pay for them...not by soaking the taxpayer.
Left wing , liberals are going down in and Nov.
I hope they vote walker to stay in and Obama looses in 2012
What the press does not realize is that, among all the Reps I hang out with that is, we don't do polls. Our vote will be cast when it counts. And it is still a secret ballot.
Like what Bob-3215303 most people like to keep the vote secret not blab it to the News Media!!!!
