A dismal jobs number released Friday morning still got plenty of questions at Monday's briefing; plus White Jay Carney on whether the president could have helped Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Barrett by stumping for him.

May’s dismal jobs numbers, released on Friday, elicited plenty of questions in Monday’s White House briefing as press secretary Jay Carney sought to find a silver lining in the 8.2% unemployment rate. He also pushed back against the idea that President Obama’s presence at a rally for Milwaukee mayor Tom Barrett could have helped much in Barrett’s recall battle against Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.
