More 2012: Recall one day away

MASSACHUSETTS: Scott Brown leads Elizabeth Warren 39-37% in a Boston Globe poll out Saturday. “Despite a five-week drubbing over her claims to Native American heritage, Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren remains neck and neck with US Senator Scott Brown, a Republican, as she heads into Saturday’s state party convention, a new Globe poll shows,” the Boston Globe writes. “But there are signs that the controversy has wounded the first-time candidate, whose entrance into the race came with a star power that galvanized Democrats and catapulted the contest into one of the most closely watched in the nation. The vast majority of voters (72 percent) said the issue would not affect their vote, but 31 percent of self-described independents - a critical voting bloc - said the issue makes them less likely to support Warren in November. The Harvard professor’s popularity has also risen one percentage point, to 48 percent, since the Globe polled in March, but the percentage of detractors has climbed more precipitously, by nine points to 32 percent.”

Brown must know the race is close. He’s challenging Warren to a debate.

WISCONSIN: “The raucous protests at the state Capitol ended long ago, but the firestorm ignited by Gov. Scott Walker last year when he moved to cut collective-bargaining rights for most state workers still rages,” USA Today writes from Wisconsin.

I hope Elizabeth Warren accepts Senator Brown's challenge to a debate, or several debates for that matter. If they can stick to issues, we would see a clear delineation between their positions relative to the financial services sector, which is the true problem behind out economic woes.

There are other issues of course, but I don't care whether Brown posed in a skin mag, I don't care about the details of Warren's lineage. I care about their positions on how to keep this country afloat, how to keep it prosperous. Isn't that what's really important?

Warren is one of the best and brightest, but Brown is really a RINO - meaning he is a moderate, threatening to take some moderate votes away from Warren - who is easily portrayed as extreme left.

Walker's record seems strong - the only thing he did was to take away collective bargaining. Otherwise, he did not cut too many programs, property tax rate is low.

But collective bargaining, although blamed as a giveaway to union fat cats, is a nice balancing tool against corporate fat cats, producing a semblance of checks and balances - thus helping preserving democracy.

Pigotry you only hear what you want to hear. You do realize Walker gave million dollar tax breaks to the rich in WI while cutting teachers, firefighters, police officers and many other jobs that help the middle class and poor. Pigotry you need to do some research and see how your job got to the high pay scale it is and where you got all those benefits (health insurance, holidays, vacation, 40 hour work week and the many other benefits) you enjoy. Let me help you get started. It was the unions you hate so much. think for yourself man, quit being a follower.

Ultimately this race is about Teapublican control of the Senate. Brown may be a RINO but as a Republican Senator, he would be expected to vote on party line and thus continue the gridlock.

"Fauxcahontas" Liz Warren lied about her lineage to fraudulently obtain the benefits of affirmative action, for her career.

She claimed she was Cherokee, with no evidence other than "high cheekbones" in her family.

Now she is lying about her previous fraud.

Massachusetts Democrats have very low standards.
