Trump: Media are biggest threat to Romney's presidential campaign

Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney talks about today's bleak jobs report, repealing Obamacare and his role in private equity.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Donald Trump on Friday warned that the media are the biggest threat to Mitt Romney's presidential campaign, but added that the press he has garnered for the Republican nominee has caused his poll numbers to rise "very substantially."

Speaking at the North Carolina GOP Convention, Trump praised Romney for his business experience and promise to stand up against China and fight for American economic interests.  But the business mogul also focused a portion of his speech on his questions about where President Obama was born.  It is the reason why on Tuesday, when Romney earned the 1,144 delegates necessary to secure his party's nomination, much of the news cycle was devoted to his decision to appear with Trump at a fundraiser that day.

A desire by the media to protect Obama is the reason Trump told the more than 1,000 people gathered here that reporters are "really dishonest" and "the biggest thing Mitt Romney has to fear is the press.  They don't tell the truth."

But, speaking to reporters after the speech, Trump said it was the media attention he drew for Romney that led to a spike in the polls.  "I think he got the headline on a day where I did get a lot of press, and interestingly, since then, his polls numbers have gone up very substantially," Trump said of his appearance with Romney.  "So I really think, and he really thinks, that the press has helped and it's been good."

And during his address, Trump again used his appearance as a platform to question the president's birth certificate, the reason he has branded himself as a controversial figure on the national political scene.  Calling for the president to release his college records, Trump said, "There is one line called place of birth, I’d like to see what he said..Perhaps it’s going to say Hawaii, perhaps it’s going to say Kenya."

He dismissed that his motives were based in race by citing his recent decision to award African American actor Arsenio Hall the winner of his reality TV show "Celebrity Apprentice."

"Somebody said, 'Oh, because I brought up the birth certificate, I'm a racist.  I said, 'How can I be a racist, I just picked Arsenio Hall," said Trump.

Asked after the event why he continues to bring up the issue of the president's birth certificate, Trump said it was the demand from people who want to hear him talk about it, pointing out that the loudest applause line of his nearly hour-long speech came when he was questioning the president's birthplace.

Trump's speech tonight hit on many of the themes that made him a popular figure a year ago when he was mulling over his own presidential run.  He called the United States "a patsy" for not take a stronger stance towards China, and he even gave credit to former President Bill Clinton and Newark Mayor Cory Booker for not condemning Romney's work at Bain Capital.  He urged the United States to take oil from Iraq to help pay for the war there.

Trump, who has said he likes making money and creating jobs, used Friday's news of an uptick in unemployment to bolster his argument against Obama's economic record.  "This is bad news and frankly you could say good news for the Republicans in terms of an election, but I don't care. We love the country first, so it's bad news as far as I'm concerned."

But despite his ability to excite some members of the Republican party, he dismissed any talk of joining a presidential ticket.

"A lot of people tell me that, but I don't see it," said Trump.

Trump's game with birtherism says a lot about himself and Romney.

We know that birtherism is racial code. This is a not-so-subtle divisive game on the part of Romney and his monied Backers.

Like McCain, the press is giving Romney a free pass on a long litany of issues. Who else gets to put off showing his tax returns, who else gets to avoid releasing information on his previous employment, and where he put the cash? And at a job he claims gives him the experience to run as President.

GOP/Koch specializes in expecting special treatment, meanwhile hounding and abusing anyone in their way.

President Obama has been under the microscope for a very long time, particularly the last 3.5 years. However, most, if not all the articles today were pro-Romney, and weren't they positive to-boot?

Mitt Romney - the man who wants to part-privatize unemployment benefits, end Planned Parenthood, amalgamate the Education department, add $10 Trillion to the deficit, wanted to let the Auto industry die but wants to accept kudos for its comeback success, wanted to let Housing bottom out, will "kill" healthcare on Day One, "is not concerned about the very poor" - and is all in with the "marvelous" Ryan Budget - that would crush anyone without RyanRomney's kind of affluence. He was anything but a "job Creator" and we all know it.

Where, oh where, is the spotlight that should be on Romney, if he is really running as President and not just another candidate for Special Treatment.

AMEN. Romney's biggest enemy is himself. I can't imagine how a liberal like Romney can ever hope to defeat Obama in a debate. What's he going to do? Stand there and agree with him all night?

Just today Romney criticized Obama for not creating jobs. Since when does a Republican expect the Government to "create jobs"? So much for that limited Government doctrine. LOL

Mitt Romney's decision to associate himself with Donald Trump brings his judgement into question more than any statement he could make on his positions. A lot of people on the right criticize President Obama for the people he has chosen to surround himself with. I think that's somewhat reasonable, but if we accept that, we also have to judge Mitt Romney partially on his desicion to use Trump as the frontman for his "conservative" side. I probably wouldn't have ever considered voting for Romney anyway, but I think anyone, even Sarah Palin or Michele Bachmann would have been a better proxy for his conservative messages than Trump. I think his association with Trump will cause him to lose a lot more support from moderates than it preserves among conservatives. If he can't find a conservative mouthpiece less contraversial than Trump, it makes me wonder if the more credible Repubilican personalities are snubbing him.

Please read the following very carefully before you think about voting for Romney. Romney is very religious.

Religion put all of Europe in the Dark Ages!
http://see_the_truth.webs.com/Inquisition.html

The Dark Ages never ended! The majority of the people in the U.S. are religious! The majority of people in power and control in the U.S, are religious! Church and State are "NOT" separated here!!
History repeats itself!
IN OTHER WORDS, RELIGION IS SLOWLY AND INSIDIOUSLY PUTTING THE U.S. IN ANOTHER DARK AGES AND PEOPLE DON'T EVEN REALIZE IT!!

We are using up all our resources on the planet and polluting the whole planet at the same time because of O-V-E-R-P-O-P-U-L-A-T-I-O-N caused by religion and its policies of- anti-abortion, anti-condom, anti-gay, right-to-life, be fruitful and multiply, etc, etc, etc...

Religion is a horrible, toxic, infectious, viral, addictive, mental drug and poison that's extremely harmful and destructive!!

Religion causes ignorance, delusion, prejudice, abuse, hatred, fighting, bloodshed, destruction, killing and war!!

Religion stops the advancement of science, technology, learning and progress for the whole human race!! Look what religion did to Galileo, now Darwin, Hawking, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc...

For those of you who don't know, Bush is an extreme, ultra conservative, Christian fundamentalist!! The 8 years of deep wound damage that Bush, Cheney and religion did to the United States is M-A-S-S-I-V-E!!!
It's going to take many, many, many years to recover from the massive deep wound damage that Bush, Cheney and religion did to the U.S. and the world with their "Holy-Oil-War", etc, etc...!!

It will take Obama, or anyone else, a minimum of 8 years to start getting the U.S. back on track from the massive mess that Bush, Cheney and religion caused!! Deep wounds take a long time to heal!!

I'M VERY VERY SERIOUS! THE U.S. AND THE WORLD ARE IN MAJOR SERIOUS TROUBLE IF WE CAN'T FIND SOME WAY TO STAMP OUT RELIGION!!

These links will show you how foolish, harmful and destructive religion is! Please take a look at these awesome links. I promise you'll learn something!-

Trump: Media are biggest threat to Romney's presidential campaign

He says this because they know the reporting of facts shines a light on Willards incompetence, lunacy, and past failures as Governor and with Bain. They obviously wish to distance themselves from Mitten's past, deny the facts of what he has said and done, and re-write history to reflect their TEA-RNC platform planks.

This election comes down to this simple choice: Either re-elect a President advocating fairness & equity, or switch to a Norquist pledger who isn't concerned about the lower classes of citizens.

Pick one...

Joany:

It isn't religion that has caused a mess of things. It's religion that has become man made and interpreted to support what man has decided is important. There have been many ancient scrolls that have been left out of the cannonization of The Bible because some man (Emperor Constantine) decided that they contradicted the way that he interpreted what was supposed to be contributed to religion.

"It's not MY fault."

Yep, are real winner. Doesn't have the panche of "Hope and Change" or "Yes we can" but the poor guy can't run away from his record.

So vote for Obama, cause all of this totally horrid news is 'not his fault.'

Further evidence the squirrel residing on top of the "Donald's" head is strangling him of oxygen!

One of the most widespread myths and misconceptions about news coverage is that it has a liberal political bias. But a new study on the 2012 race for president appears to refute that common criticism.

The study of campaign coverage by the Project for Excellence in Journalism shows that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has enjoyed much more favorable news coverage than President Obama, at least so far in the race. The study looked at more than 50 news organizations -- broadcast, print and online -- in determining its findings.

The media may be a big threat but the biggest threat for ANY republican will be when people realize that the honor that has been thrown out the window by the corporate bought GOP leadership has nothing to do with working people. When people realize it is not about them and their children but corporations bottom line. Obvious to me since Obama was elected, honor no longer resides within the GOP. Why would we let them have the future?

Feisty raises a good point - it is now essentially impossible to give Obama favorable coverage.

Any coverage of the economy is bad for team O.

Then there is Obamacare.

Then there are all his awesome green investments, like Solyndra.

Nope, unless it's a report about Bo the dog, or Michelle's lovely garden, there really can be no favorable coverage of Obama.

And that is a shame. A shame that he has brought on himself.

Yeah, uh, Rocky - it ain't EEEVVVIILLL corporations that are blowing throw $4 billion in new debt every single day.

Hey - another thing that crushes Obama 'good light' - the crushing debt.

Like I said - great point Feisty.

      #1.40 - Sat Jun 2, 2012 1:26 PM EDT

In the last presidential election the media did everything but carry Obama into the White House on an eiderdown quilt. Big Media twisted facts, ignored facts, played down facts, suppressed facts and touted wildly in its illegitimate but successful effort to put Barak Hussein Obama in the White House. Big Media was shameless. Big Media is still shameless. Big Media's dedication to the reelection of Obama is, on the one hand shocking, but on the other hand, to be expected. If they had film of Obama robbing the Bank of America with .45 in hand at high noon, they would deny the film existed, deny the robbery took place, give Obama an alibi putting him in a different location - say or do anything to protect the Manchurian Candidate, Obama.

Big Media has become an unofficial, but very real arm of the Democrat Party. The vast majority of personnel employed at all levels by Big Media are liberals - and quite a few are radical liberals. Their object is to cause the defeat of as many right of center politicians as possible and in doing that bring about the socialist state they believe should be the nature of life in the United States of America.

Big Media, using the protection of the US Constitution, has developed an ethos which unites many media outlets (You know who this is. Examples are the NY Times, Washington Post, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, NPR/PBS just to name a few.) in a common effort to turn our country on it head - and are well on their way to making their goals a reality.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that what Trump says is the truth! The old liberal media gives Obama a 'buy' on every one of his many mistakes and falls all over him when he 'rarely' gets something right. (for the life of me, I can't see when that has ever happened?)

The medias bias today is nothing more than institutionalized propaganda! Very much like what the Nazis did when Hitler came to power..... remember how that turned out?

By the way, I find it very funny that 'now that Obama's read the details of obamacare', he wants to get re-elected so he can fix it! What a joke

If a Republican made a fraudulent loan to Solyndra with taxpayer money the media would be outraged! With little Barry, not much more than a whimper of concern

A Republican gets intense vetting and much effort is focused on any dirt found. With Obama there is still much in his background we don't know! We do know that during and well after college Barry claimed he was born in Kenya, he even mentioned this in speeches in Illinois! Now he insists he was born in Hawaii and has reluctantly produced birth certificate(s) to prove that point. Was he lying in Illinois, or is he lying now, lol Yet the old liberal media (olm) ridicules anyone who questions that earlier lie.

If a Republican candidate admitted in his memoir that he frequently used cocaine in college and was fond of excessive beer drinking... he would be raked under the coals..... but not Barry!

If a Republican President allowed his attorney general to provide arms to the Mexican drug cartels (which later were used to kill a border control officer.... there would be a firestorm of outrage from the olm.. but Barry gets a 'get out of jail free' card. And so does Eric Holder it would seem.

I could easily go on and on, but you get the point!

Yes Donald Trump has hit the nail on the head... the old liberal media will resort to any methods to try and get the amateur elected again..... even if he clearly doesn't deserve it! media bias is a fact!

But they haven't done that. Even your right-wing-owned Faux Noise doesn't give a crap about it. The left wingers really like to bash FOXS, so I assume they must be turning in and getting their news from FOXS, since the ratings for FOXS is far superior to those for the left wing media at CNN, MSNBC, & NBC. I have watched the news on all the cable channels and FOXS is far superior and much more balanced than their so called rivals.

      Funny stuff really.

It's FOX, not FOXS. Do you even watch FOX News? It's a simple three letter word and you managed to add a fourth for some unknown reason.

Family Guy also has high ratings. That doesn't make it educational or informative.

Jersey Shore also has very good ratings.

Ratings only mean there are a lot of viewers. It in no way implies anything of value is offered. Simply that it is entertaining.

Lastly, FOX is in no way balanced. They lean so far to the right, they would fall over if they stood up. How can you even claim they are balanced when they keep hiring failed Republican politicians. We are talking about a station that condemned the poor that pay no federal income taxes for having refrigerators.

Wake up to reality and accept the fact that every news outlet out there has already chosen a side. This goes for whatever news source you listen to as well. We all have a bias towards things and your bias towards FOX has you believing they are balanced in their reporting.

Mitt Romney - the man who wants to part-privatize unemployment benefits, end Planned Parenthood, amalgamate the Education department, add $10 Trillion to the deficit, wanted to let the Auto industry die but wants to accept kudos for its comeback success, wanted to let Housing bottom out, "is not concerned about the very poor" and is all in with the Ryan Budget - that would crush anyone without RyanRomney's kind of affluence.

Where, oh where, is the spotlight that should be on Romney, if he is really running as President and not just another candidate for Special Treatment.

oh, jesus h nipple, Mary. Obama never said any such thing. You can even go back to the Honolulu Newspaper that was printed at the time of Obama's birth and see the announcement in the newspaper of his birth, to his parents, by name. Are you suggesting that someone in a time machine went back and made that change? AND let's not forget, the GOP Governor of Hawaii confirmed his birth certificate and confirmed that he was, indeed, born in Hawaii as claimed. That comes from one of your own, and you birthers still cling to this nonsense...

Mary, a junior staffer working for the publisher of one of Obama's books was given the assignment of writing copy for the book's jacket. She wrote that Obama was born in Kenya, the book jacket went to press with that error and later was re-printed with the correction that Obama was born in Hawaii.

So just where and how did Obama claim Kenyan birth?

And YouTube has clips of speeches he and Michelle made during his neighborhood organizer days/ early political career... in which they both said Kenya was Barry's homeland.. This was all well and good back then, but as running for President - not so very much, lol! So know we get the 'true' story.... Barry was not born in Kenya, he was actually born in Hawaii! Woohoo! I do believe he was born in Hawaii... but that doesn't explain why he lied so many times about his birthplace in the past, does it?

So know we have the lounge-lizard lawyer insinuating the president has direct control over the stock market. Three weeks ago, lounge-lizard lawyers and worthless white collar workers were telling us Obama had direct control over fuel prices. What they really harp about is when fuel prices go up, it is Obama's fault, fuel prices go down, it has nothing to do with Obama. The stock market works in reverse, when the market goes down, it is Obama's fault, when it goes up, Obama has no impact.

The fact is that he lacks any political backbone, that he will sacrifice any principle for political gain and that indeed he will will tell any lie if it serves his purpose, if exposed by an honest press would spell his doom. Expect to see him only on Fux and never on any objective news program. I expect that he will agree to very few, if any, debates with Obama. He's an intellectual coward, Really an all around coward.

          Paul -

If you really think FOX is a neutral news organization, I have a beachfront mansion for sale in Death Valley. If you really believe that, you should know that you've been totally snowed under. You've been brainwashed. Propagandized. But you can take heart in the fact that millions and millions of Americans are just as brainwashed as you. But I can't convince you, nor can anyone else. And that's too bad. The fact that polls have Obama and Romney in a dead heat does not present American voters in a good light. In fact, the election in 2010 should have been a good lesson, but it remains to be seen if voters learned anything from that debacle.

My advice, which you probably won't take, is to avail yourself of other media platforms along with FOX. Time, Newsweek, New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, etc. As for MSNBC, if you ever watched it you'd know that they have conservative hosts (like Joe Scarborough), interview conservative guests, have conservative analysts such as former RNC Chair Michael Steele, former McCain campaign manager Steve Schmidt, and a long list of others. But, since FOX propagandists put a lot of verbiage into running MSNBC down, you remain a loyal viewer and don't consider broadening your sources of information.

Each of us is responsible for being informed citizens. We're each responsible for choosing where and how we get our information. People who watch FOX exclusively are depriving themselves of the broad spectrum of news and commentary available to us, and are being irresponsible. The scary part is, millions of brainwashed voters are a threat to screw the rest of us in the process of picking the wrong candidates.

Russel, how do you avoid brainwashing from the other "news agencies". Do you ever get facts from Fox or do you simply ignore that source of information, which would be totally irresponsible...help me out, buddy, your post smacks of bias and narrowmindedness as well as a lack of tolerance...but that is to be expected from those who have been brainwashed by the left to think they have a lock on all that is truthful, huh.

THe Liberal Media is a myth which owes its longevity to two factors:

1.) the paranoia which affflcits many on the RIght

2.) AMong the more mentallly agile it's a form of gamesmanship - similar to how Phil Jackson used to work the refs befroe a big playoff series. After alll, it doesn't cost a thing and might even help!

There is little doubt that Fox is red and MSNBC is blue. The difference is that Fox has no problem distorting the news. At least with MSNBC I know the facts have been checked and are correct or I can expect a correction. Fox is simply an infomercial for the GOP (and to sell gold).

I watch or listen to or read many cable TV or internet news sources. I no longer watch Fox and thus never see Romney interviewed or questioned. If I wanted to see Sean Hannity asking softball, leading questions to any and every republican politician I would then watch Fox. If I wanted to see Sarah Palin or Mike Huckabee or Rick Santorum or Rick Perry or Ann Coulter or Dick Cheney or John Boehner or Mitch McConnel or any other republican mouthpiece bloviate about how Obama is a socialist, communist, Muslim, Islamofascist born in Kenya then all I have to do would be to turn on Fox and there they are! Say what you will about MSNBC or CNN or any other news outlet but Fox is not a news channel. It is not fair or balanced or even truthful. It identifies scandal plagued republicans as democrats and gives copious airtime to every right wing lip flapper and nut case it can find (i.e. Glenn Beck).

Leland from Detroit said it best. Fox is nothing but the public relations/propaganda arm of the republican party and the knuckle dragging, mouth breathing morons on the right can scream all they want in objection but it doesn't change that one particular truth.

          Foxrepublican -

Then how, pray tell, was MSNBC caught tampering with the tapes in the Trayvon Martin case? All of the news services edit their news. It is the way they edit what they say that places the bias. They all have to answer to their boses and tend to reflect whether their boss is liberal or conservative. Considering that GE owns NBC and who Immelt is buddies with, I think that explains MSNBC's very liberal bias and why they seem to bend over backwards to make the incompetent Obama look good.

It never ceases to amaze me how right-wing hacks always blame the collapse of manufacturing on liberals and the actual blue-collar producers, and never look at the real cause, which was the almost useless white collar workers. But hey, it is always easier to point the finger at anyone else, just like the German population bought into the Nazi propaganda that pointed the finger at the Jews.

White collar workers bloated the payrolls of the manufacturing industry, and when it came time to trim down, blue-collars were the first to be cut and jobs shipped over seas.

Being tied to the GOP, their failed economic policies for 30+ years, their forever war mongering, their forever continued attacks on personal freedoms are the threat to Willard Romneys bid to become the Mormon Churches President..

America can't afford someone worth more than the previous 44 presidents combined in wealth. Romney is tied to Big Pharma, Big Oil, Big Chinese companies who violate the rights of the Chinese citizens. Mitt Romney donates ONLY to the Mormon Church as a charity. Mormons only helping other Mormons, now thats priceless!

The GOP and their war campaigns never cease. Being strong around the world, is making America weak at home. We can't continue to focus on the world, while ignoring the problems at home. Mitt wants to invade Iran which will do severe damage to America and our interests. Gas will double or triple to $8-$12/gallon. Unemployment will spike to 10-12% within the first year of a Mormon Presidency.

Donald is a perfect pairing for Romney. Any time he's in trouble, he bankrupts his sub-company, screws over his investors/creditors for millions, and moves on with a trail of bodies behind him, leaving behind any personal responsibility, character and integrity (if he ever had any of those qualities to begin with...)

the perfect example of a GOP. the perfect mate for Romney.

At some point he will have to tell us what his grand plans are and why he has lied so much. He won't be able to sit on the sidelines much longer sniping and grading Pres Obama with an F in everything he's done. Romney has not once offered what he would do or what he would have done in the areas and issues he thinks Pres Obama has failed at.

Like Herman Cain says, "They think we are stupid." In this case, the shoe is on the other foot; Romney and his hacks like Donald think real Americans are stupid. Think so Mitt; wait until November. You don't need to call the movers cuz you ain't going nowhere but home!

They're not stupid Americans because they would vote for Romney, they are voting for an overall change economically, and an improvement financially because they see the difficulty America is having getting this train rolling.

If there are two sides to the same coin, and that coin is in your pocket you should be familiar with both sides of it. Dem/Rep same/story/song/dance...

But I think Obama has more integrity in his pinky finger, the ability to reach deep and find compassion for existing defense initiatives and support them as well as lofty forward thinking initiatives like healthcare.

Round two should be an Experienced Obama, one that is ready to cut through the red tape and crack skulls. The rest is up to us, to help one another and provide opportunity that keeps any one person from going postal.

If a Republican is really going to get the kitchen sink, they would put forth some excellent candidates. There are plenty of Republicans that are likable, sensible, logical, wonderful people. But that person never made it to the stage. (The trees are just the right height). It's too bad. I'm sure 2016 will mean a lot to them then and they'll have a chance to prove it. And if that candidate is a better choice I will be in that camp. Simple.

If you think George W. inherited a poor economy, you are the crack smoking revisionist. The recession Reagan inherited should have been minor, but he managed to stupidly cause a double dip recession (the 2nd dip was by far the worst recession), which was caused largely by his vodoo or trickle-down economics plan (meaning tax the hell out of the middle class, and give tax breaks to the rich).

Mitt says the president was born in the USA but on the day birther Trump resurrects his nonsense he releases his certificate of live birth-Mitt and Trump fitting together hand in glove. Mitt's own father was born in Mexico and ran for POTUS way back in the sixties, John McCain ran for president recently and he was born in Panama, so Trump's birther issue boils down to one thing and one thing only.

It's not the fault of "the media" that Willard keeps speaking from ignorance. It is not the fault of "the media" that Willard "doesn't care about poor people". It is not the fault of "the media" that Willard believes that "corporations are people". It is not the fault of "the media" that Willard believes that every student should "borrow money from their parents, or start a business" if they want the money to go to college. These are things Willard Romney truly, sincerely, believes. And if those beliefs separate him from the majority of voters in this country, then the fault lies with him, not "the media". And Mr Trump should provide his own long form birth certificate, which he has not done, before demanding that anyone else produce theirs for his personal review.

Sure. Let's take advice from a man (the Donald) who thinks the greatest signs of success are gold plated bathroom fixtures. Also, is a country run into the ground by Mitt Romney and Teabaggers really your American Dream? Will they provide the future your children deserve, or just a more profitable future for their children to inherit, with no inheritance tax?

Actually, Mr. Trump is a pretty big threat to the Romney campaign.

I can't think why anyone would want to be associated with him. He's a professional media clown.

And not only once, but a spectacular 4 times. Does he own the record? If he doesn't, he sure is good at being a lounge-lizard corporate leader that sucks in money, and leaves his unpaid debt on everyone else. That is why Romney and Trump do the tango so well, they have the same ideas of capitalism.

So Steeler - bankruptcy is bad, so how would you describe blowing through $billion in new debt a day, and bouncing along with a $16 trillion debt?

                                I like REDDEV's 'Spectacular.'

But hey, we are so much better off with O - pitching our money in companies he knows will go bust, and who doesn't seem to understand what a 'shovel ready' job is.

Well, how cute, another lounge-lizard lawyer insinuation - somehow loans to encourage green energy and eliminating dependencies on foreign oil are the cause of our $16T debt, while blissfully ignoring how much of the debt was caused by Bush.

That's old news, according to The Donald. You'll never see that report because they can't come up with a thing. Until Romney grows a pair and tells idiots like Trump to stuff it, the only people he will attract are the ones who will vote for him anyway.

The issue was dead except in the closed minds of the teabaggers until The Donald brought it up again when he invited Mittens to Sin City to meet his rich "pals" who forked over billions on Super Pac contributions in exchange for promissary notes from Mittens if he is elected. With all of the phone cals to TV news programs that The Donald makes, he is going to be the end of Mittens' political future such as it is.

Show me the proof that Bin Laden is dead. Is it true just because someone said so? We know for a fact that Saddam Hussein, and his sons are dead-we saw the pictures. Being someone who was down at the WTC, and had been deployed, I would like to see it myself. By the way, get off the Fox News kick. If the best you can do, is pinpoint only one news station that you deem to be conservative, that's pretty pathetic, considering that there are so many out there. MSNBC is biased as hell. Every article I've read by them, always takes obvious jabs at the Republican candidates. There's nothing impartial at all. Only in America, would a president be elected, that has an Arab/Middle Eastern namesake, while our troops are getting killed by those with same namesakes-i.e. Hussein. Barack Hussein Obama is hardly a western name.

Now it is the name that is guilty not the person who did the crime. If your name even sounds like someone who did a crime you are guilty by association?

If you really are a veteran, are you aware that the Romney/Ryan budget takes from wounded veterans care to pay for more tax cuts for Romney and his rich friends? See your name doesn't need to be foreign sounding to hurt Americans.

I hope you and the anti-American Taliban party are happy with the progress you guys have had so far you've almost succeeded in destroying America as our founding fathers who also happen to be Liberals, intended it to be.

I think you better study up on your history. The founding fathers were intolerant of many things the liberals find acceptable. While I'm not religious in the least, it was clear that they also believed in a higher deity. Wikipedia is a wonderful place to learn. Having said that, since you claim our Founding Fathers were liberals, perhaps we should blame them, since they were slave owners? Also, your analogy of right wingers being the "American Taliban", would also target the troops, as many of them are right wingers, who you portray as "Taliban". Hell, just look at the votes in the last election. 70% for McCain, pretty much sums up the feelings of the military toward the libs.
