Obama: Seeing what sticks

“In rapid-fire fashion, Mr. Obama’s Chicago headquarters has been auditioning a series of negative narratives that might disqualify the Republican as a legitimate alternative to sit in the Oval Office: Mr. Romney as corporate raider at Bain Capital, Mr. Romney as enemy of women, Mr. Romney as friend of the birther movement,” the New York Times writes. “Now, add to that list: Mr. Romney as failed governor. In a detailed memo released Wednesday night by David Axelrod, Mr. Obama’s senior campaign strategist, the campaign argues that Mr. Romney’s time as governor of Massachusetts provides no legitimate basis for him to ascend to the presidency.”

“The most authoritative examination of this question would be by the experienced budget analysts at the CBO or the Office of Management and Budget. We continue to find it curious that the White House would rely on the work of bloggers for budgetary analysis rather than the career employees who do this for a living,” the Washington Post’s fact checker writes.

“The White House has apologized for President Obama’s reference to a ‘Polish death camp’ during Tuesday’s Medal of Freedom ceremony, but Polish officials remain offended, seeking a ‘stronger, more pointed’ retraction,” the Boston Globe says.

Picture day… “President Obama meets with two of the few people who truly understand the burdens of his job: Former presidents. Predecessors George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush are both at the White House today,” USA Today writes. “The occasion: The unveiling of the formal portrait of George W. and former first lady Laura Bush. The Bushes and members of their families first have lunch with Obama. The portrait ceremony is the early afternoon.”

A Kaiser Family Foundation poll finds support for the health-care law has dropped five points this month to a net-negative favorable rating of 37%/44%. But defunding the law is very unpopular with 58% saying they disagree with cutting off funding as a way to stop the law’s implementation.

Get over it, it's just a slip of tongue. Obama understands Polish struggle against Nazi Pigotry during WWII.

Nazism of WWII - is pigotry - government by pigs, of pigs, and for pigs

Iguess President Obama is hanging around too much with VP Biden. I smell Hillary getting in Joe's shoes.

It's going to be fun to watch Romney respond to being called a failed Governor. See it's alright for him to say someone failed, but you'd better not say Romney failed. Let the Romney whining begin. "I can hear him now, their being mean to me, it isn't fair, make them stop" While big crocodile tears fill his eyes, his lips start to quiver as he waddles his way back to his room to pout. Come on MSM stop treating Romney like the spoiled little brat he is.

What is going to be fun is watching the President respond to his record.

    • Unemployment over 8% for 39 straight months and over 9% for 28 months.
    • 8 Million people left the work force because they gave up looking for work
    • $5.9 Trillion in public debt and rising (Bush debt at same point in office $1.5 Trillion)

The Obama whining began a long time ago, "IT IS ALL BUSH'S FAULT, I HAVE TRIED REALLY HARD, I SPENT AS MUCH MONEY AS I COULD TO GET UNEMPLOYMENT DOWN, IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT IT DIDN'T WORK"

Bill and the tea people Koch republicans started whining four years ago and are still whining. We'll see who is having fun after the first debate Bill, BTW it won't be you.

I can hear Romney to the moderator now, "he's picking on me, make him stop". Poor little spoiled brat Romney.

Romney -- He isn't in it for you.

But how do women feel about Ann as FLOTUS? Most professional women do not see her as particularly accomplished, and certainly not representative of 21st century women -- Aside from the disconnect the Romney's have in regard to socioeconomic status. In fact Ann Romney helps explain conservative women who are against women's rights. Married suburban women who receive stability via their husbands income, life insurance, etc., do not worry about unemployment, health care, unplanned pregnancy, retirement, and in particular stay-home mothers don't worry about equal pay.

Then there will be the VP pick, which like the rest of Romney's staff will probably come from the Bush administration. What a joke trying to steal President Obama's message of "change" and saying it's time to try something different. Riiight, a return to the last 30-40 years of supply-side voodoo economics is change how? Or worse, neocon warmongering. Teapublicans only have a hammer so see everything as a nail -- don't need to go there again.

The question is not were you better off four years ago, but rather were you better off before 2001 under Clinton? Thanks to GOP/Bush-era policies, we are trying to recover from a Lost Decade. The question is not who can fix the economy, but rather who will not destroy it? First do no harm -- We know things have started to recover under President Obama despite Teapublican obstruction, and we know what "trickle down" tax cuts for the rich and huge spending on defense has brought us -- the Great Recession.

Gov. Romney's four years as governor of Massachusetts does not qualify him, but then Senator Obama's six years as senator did qualify him. Of course six years is a bit of a stretch, because while running for the presidency Sen Obama missed 80% of Senate votes. So let's make it five years of actual experience. I guess David Axelrod believes that being the chief executive of the 13th largest state for four years qualifies you less than five years as a senator. When your candidate has nothing to run on with his own record, try anything to say that your opponent is just as bad, even if you have to make stuff up.

Now you're getting the gist of the tea people Koch republicans Bill. Making stuff up. Lets see Bill, you lied about Senator Obama's voting record. Did you know that Romney was AWOL for four years as governor? Never showed up for work.

President Obama may not have had more experience before he was inaugurated, but, it's safe to say, he has way more experience then Mitt Romney, now.

After three years of dealing with one crisis or another, making numerous important decisions, and forging relationships with other heads of state, I think it's safe to say President Obama has been broken in. Starting from scratch with Romney would be a huge mistake.

But President Obama was and is ten times smarter than Romney will ever be Amy.

Romney will just turn the country over to the plutocrats.

Well we will never REALLY know if Obama is ten times smarter because for some reason he doesn't want American voters to see his college transcripts.
