As the Obama campaign continues its assault on Mitt Romney's record as the CEO of investment firm Bain Capital, Vice President Joe Biden said Tuesday that the business experience like the presumptive GOP nominee's is no more qualifying than that of a Roto-Rooter.
"Your job as president is to promote the common good," he said, comparing the job of a president to that of a private equity mogul. "That doesn't mean that private equity guys are bad guys; they're not. But that no more qualifies you to be president than being a plumber!"
Biden, who spoke to a crowd of over 450 supporters and students at Keene State College, called the private-equity business itself "legitimate," but pushed the administration's argument that its imperative of wealth creation for investors doesn't translate to the skill set of a national leader.
"Folks, making money for your investors, as Romney did very well, is not the president's job," he said. "The president has a different job."
The visit to Keene State College was Biden's fourth trip this year to the Granite State, where Romney overwhelmingly won the GOP primary earlier this year.
The vice president, who made a similar case last week in swing state Ohio, painted Romney on Tuesday as an economic throwback to the Bush administration and as the cultural equivalent of the clean cut dad from a black-and-white TV sitcom.
"We will not go back to the 50s on social policies, to the Cold War on foreign policy, and the policies of the last administration on our economic policies," he said, raising his voice above applause. "We will not do it their way again. We intend to move forward."
With a nod to the equine Triple Crown competitor recently in the news, Biden said Romney's affinity for policies of the past has the same ring to it as the colt's name.
"He begins to sound a little like the horse that just won the Derby and the Preakness. "I'll Have Another." Except the horse was a real winner!" Biden exclaimed.
While the Scranton-born pol took heat from Republicans last week for calling himself "Middle Class Joe" despite a $2m Wilmington home, Biden made a point today to note his humble roots and his subsequent success as a public servant.
"I don't live like I did when I was growing up," he said. "I have a beautiful home. You pay me a lot of money. But I remember."

So where's that leave obumer? Obumer doesn't have enough experience to be a plumber. I'd rather have a plumber running the country than the idiot we have now. As for Obama, he's got 25 consective months of job creation, 4.2 million. Compare that to the jobs created from 1929-1932 when someone like Romney was in control..almost identical situations.
The romney can't even keep control of his party caucases. Ron Paul is consistently taking more than half the delegates. Think he's got about 10 states locked up at this point. They could spare one in MN as he's got 32 out of 40 in that state and gave the slot to Bachman so she didn't have to stay home and cry.

And truth is regardess of what you think about his qualificatons for president before being in office, you have 3.5 years to judge him. And by all standards, given what he inherited, he's down and continues to go down, a great job all things considered. We are not in a depression, the stock market in back to pre-2008 levels, unemployment is down, Bin Laden is dead, as is almost every Al Quida leader......and if you wanted more done, you should blame the GOP congress which has handcuffed every attempt he's made to make things better.
He presented a jobs bill that they resisted, which would have created another 2 million jobs. And if we weren't laying off government workers (which never happened under Reagan, or either Bushs) we'd have unemployment at 7.2%. Add the 2 million from the jobs bill, and you'd have it a 5%...
And all those jobs would solve the deficit problems in added revenue.
Nothing from nothing leaves nothing. At least an actor has worked for a living and has more experience than obumer and Reagan proved he could do the job. The proof is in his record. 3.5 years and we're still waiting for all that hope and change to come from doing nothing. Reagan actually accomplished more than this obumer can even dream of. What did obumer accomplish before he was president? Vote present, that's about it. The country is in shambles and he still spends money we don't have. He's put more people out of work and closed more businesses using tax payer's money than Romney has with private money. Obumer is toxic to all business and America in everyway. Anyhoo, I'm not going to change any of your minds since you're the ones who voted this idiot into office and believed all of his bs so your 'facts' and 'words' have as much credibility as obumer and biden's do. He'll be out in November anyway unless the economy turns arround on its' own since its' sure not getting any help from him and I don't see that happening. He'll try his best to distract from his record and failures but I have 'hope' that the majority of the voters will see through all of the bs and vote for 'change' and a strong economy and for someone who can actually make a real change instead of a promise of one.

Warren Buffet does not run the Democratic Party; he openly supports the Democratic Party.
George Soro's is business magnate first an investor 2nd and one of the worlds largest philanthropists ever in the history of the world. He promotes liberal progressive ideals throughout the world.
Both men have exceptional morals and have both stated they are very fortunate to have become exceedingly wealthy and both have decided to help those less fortunate...period.

Mitt Romney’s resume is simple and pretty much speaks for itself: Bain Capital. 2002 winter Olympics. Governor of Massachusetts. Management, management and more management. Private sector and government.
President Obama’s resume is equally telling: Community organizer. Civil rights attorney, teaching constitutional law. Three 2 year terms in the Illinois Senate. Fours lackluster years in the U.S. Senate, during much of which he was running for President. President of the United States. Zero business or management experience, except what he’s learned on the job since being elected to his current position.
Okay, let’s forget about precisely how many net jobs Mitt Romney created while he was at Bain Capital. While there may have been a bad deal or two on which the Obama campaign is focusing, no one really disputes that Bain’s overall record for jobs creation, under Mitt Romney, was exemplary. President Obama, on the other hand, was wholly unprepared to be President during difficult economic times, and still is. “Wholly unprepared.”
Look at President Obama’s resume. Is it any wonder that he’s the “Poor Johnny One Note” of Presidents, if you remember your elementary school choir songbook. All he knows is government. His only solution to any problem – economic, fiscal or social – is “government.”

It's a shame that Joe doesn't use that self proclaimed high IQ. If you look at qualifications, Obama comes out on the short end. He may be a good campaigner, but he is a lousy president, a lousy statesman and a pretty poor politician. He sees things one way and one way only, the way most bad professors look at the world. In his case, his vision is so narrowly focused that he lost sight of what is good for America, confusing what is good for Obama with what is best for the country he's suppose to be serving.
I think it's only fair to ask Joe what qualifications Obama has for serving?
