President Obama and his allies continue to hold a sizable fundraising advantage over Mitt Romney and his allies, including a 2-to-1 edge in available cash, according to the latest totals filed with the Federal Election Commission.
The numbers show that Team Obama (the campaign, the DNC, and the major pro-Obama Super PAC Priorities USA Action) had a combined $144 million cash on hand as of April 30, and it raised $41.7 million last month.
That's compared with the $77.5 million in the bank that Team Romney (the campaign, the RNC, the pro-Romney Super PAC Restore Our Future, and the anti-Obama Super PAC American Crossroads) has reported, and it raised a total of $29.5 million in April.
But these fundraising figures tell only part of the story.
Last week, the Romney campaign announced raising a combined $40 million with the RNC and other committees -- essentially equaling the Obama-DNC haul -- which spurred stories about how Team Romney was catching up to Team Obama. The Romney camp also said it had $60 million in bank.
But the fundraising totals the Romney camp filed with the FEC are short of those numbers.
So how did it come up with $40 million raised in April and $60 million in the bank?
The Romney campaign tells First Read that its Victory Fund brought in $17 million, but those numbers won’t be filed to the FEC until July. That $17 million -- added to the campaign's $11.7 million and RNC's 11.4 million -- gets you to $40 million.
And the Romney camp gets to $60 million in the bank when adding up the campaign's cash on hand ($9 million), the RNC's ($34.8 million), and that Victory Fund ($17 million).
Overall, when you add up the totals for the campaigns, political parties, and top Super PACS, here’s where we stand:
Team Obama raised in April: $41.7 million
Team Romney raised: $29.5 million (they are also counting that extra $17 million from the Victory Fund)
Team Obama cash on hand: $144 million
Team Romney cash on hand: $77.5 million cash on hand

Obama: $25.7 million raised, $115 million cash on hand
DNC: $14.4 million raised, $24.3M cash on hand
Priorities USA Action $1.6 million raisd, $4.7 cash on hand
Romney: $11.7 million raised, $9 million cash on hand
RNC: $11.4 million raised, $34.8 million cash on hand
Restore Our Future: $4.6 million raised, $8.2 million cash on hand
American Crossroads $1.8 million raised, $25.5 million cash on hand

Romney is late in deciding on a running mate that is fully qualified to, at moments notice, step into the office of POTUS and tell him what to do next.
Romney will probably not announce who his running mate will be until the RNC convention in Tampa, Fl. Which is pretty typical of presidential candidates. It is hard to say if it would help or hurt him if he announced someone sooner. The running mate is someone who can attack the opponent allowing the candidate to keep his hands clean. I.E. Joe Biden is doing a pretty good job of being the aggressor for the Obama campaign and Obama only occasionally mentions Romney, focusing instead on issues.
I still believe that the hard issue for Romney right now is that he has to pick a running mate who can strengthen his ticket without overshadowing him. For a man no one really wants that is going to be a hard trick to pull off.
Bain Capital could step in and sell all Romney's possessions, then step out and pocket the money. Then the government would bail him out, and sell him to China, where he could ruin their economy and own that nation. Win, win, win.

One of Mr. Obama's contributors/bundlers is the gentleman who was in charge of Bain Capital when it declared Bankruptcy. He profited from the bankruptcy.
Now Mr. Obama is taking his money so does this not make Mr. Obama a direct benfactor of Bain also?

In an interview yesterday with WTOV-TV, NBC's Steubenville-Wheeling affiliate, Joe Biden said that he doesn't "blame people" for voting against Barack Obama in West Virginia's Democratic primary earlier this month, when an incarcerated felon won about four in 10 votes against the sitting president.
Count on Joe to let the truth slip out..... :)

To all those planning to vote for other than Obama, remember Romney's in cue and he got there because those voting for him held their noses when doing so. Adding to this discourse is the negative and bad blood between the TEA party and Republicans. Then there is the Women Health issue that will bring a new multitude to the voting booth. Immigrants of Mexican heritage, who have been here for over five to ten years and have deep roots here will get those legal to vote. The unions have committed to back the current resident of the White House and many independents will cross over or stay in Obama camp. And lastly, there are those who have been thinking deeply and assessing the Current House of Representatives and their repeated and confrontational attitude towards the president. They just might bolt to the president's side. The Independents have also been watching and assessing the culture and attitude of the TEA controlled House, which has a lower rating then the president and they might leave the dark side and vote With Obama. The eight or so states are in play as mentioned, but changes can occur with any miscue. Every one get involved and voice your opinion, register to vote and vote. Then get out the vote.

Dixie, I am a registered independent too and I am voting for PRESIDENT Obama, so I guess I just cancelled out your vote. There are more independents that feel Obama is better than Romney, so once we cancel out the few dissenters, Obama will win. Also, I did not agree with Bush's policies or decisions, but I still respected our president enough to address him as President Bush. If the people in America would at least express respect for their president, maybe we could have an intelligent debate.

If the Republicans had run a real candidate I would definitely be considering voting for them, but they instead decided to go with the guy who only knows how to destroy lives.
Republicans have fear-mongered their base into penny-pinching survivalists who will vote but not donate. Most Republican donors are fat cats with an agenda. Obama's average donation is a lot smaller than Romney's because of the many individual donations of relatively little ($3 - $25) from supporters who send small but regular donations. Democrats are... well, more democratic. Republicans depend on the top 5% of income earners. If it weren't for continuous propaganda of a scurrilous nature on radio, TV (Fox), the internet, and extremist mailings, Republicans would get about 32% of the vote and would earn 5%.
BOTH CANDIDATES are taking cash from fat cats with agendas......and here is another kicker..Obama has taken money from Bain...yes the same company he claims is evil....

LA TIMES Just Announced: According to Antoa Bleeks, under spokesperson for the Obama White House, "The administration is considering proposing a tax on entertainment entities and entertainers approaching a 75% tax rate. The tax would include actors, producers, and major and minor studios". Bleeks continued "in addition, we are seriously considering increasing the taxes on the music industry to close to 85% tax rate."
When ask why this action was being considered Bleeks replied " the entertainment industry is a great source of tax revenue as the participants are unfairly paid extremely high amounts of money that can be used in other places in our economy."
The new tax could drastically increase the total revenue into government coffers. Tom Cruse, for example, who grossed $36 million for his contribution to the most recent Mission Impossible franchise film. Under the current tax code Cruise paid $12,600,000 in taxes. Under the proposed entertainment industry tax Cruise would have paid $27 million dollars allowing Cruise to keep $9 million.
Bleeks continued "at last weeks George Clooney event, the President asked several of the guests if they were willing to pay taxes at the 75% rate and most responded with a heart felt "yes" to the President."
Dan Rather was at the Clooney event and his statement was best of all. Said Rather " this story reminds me of a letter I once hadf fabricated for an anti-George W. Bush story I reported on until I was found out by a 15 year-old"
