Biden on WV's vote for felon: 'They're frustrated. They're angry.'

Vice President Joe Biden stayed mostly on message during a two-day swing in eastern Ohio this week, but one comment made to a local TV news station may have earned him some rolls of the eye at Obama campaign headquarters in Chicago.

In an interview yesterday with WTOV-TV, NBC's Steubenville-Wheeling affiliate, Biden said that he doesn't "blame people" for voting against Barack Obama in West Virginia's Democratic primary earlier this month, when an incarcerated felon won about four in 10 votes against the sitting president.

"Look, I come from a household where whenever there's a recession, somebody around my grandpop or my dad's table lost their job - a brother, a sister, a friend, a neighbor," he said.  When you're outta work, man, it's a depression. And a lot of people are still hurt because of this God-awful recession we inherited that cost 8.4 million jobs before we could really get going. And so I don't blame people. They're frustrated. They're angry."

Biden quickly pivoted to make the case that the administration's economic values would prevail nationwide over Mitt Romney's in the general election.

"At the end of the day they're going to decide is the way back to their employment, is the way back to being able to have a job and raise a family, is it under the value set and the ideas of Romney? Or is it under ours? And we feel confident we'll do just fine. "

Keith Judd, also known as Prisoner 11593-051, is serving a sentence at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas for making threats at the University of New Mexico. He makes occasional cameos on state ballots and won about 40 percent of the vote in West Virginia's May 8 primary, embarrassing national Democrats and highlighting Obama's challenges in coal country.

Reading most of these comments makes me feel that US voters should take the Citizenship test at least every 4 years to be able to vote. And reading the Constitution wouldn't hurt either.

If the imbecile gets back in for another four years, there won't be any Constitution to read.

TAzaLaraN? You are correct with your algenol dreams. However,,,,,

That rocket fuel you mentioned is BS, there is no way, abzolutely NO WAY a fatty acid derivative could produce the energy required to break the earths atmosphere and gravity, as you are falsely reporting.

Additionally, all the research by NASA, IASC, FAA, ICAO, Purdue, Germany, etc is that bio-fuels are NOT the answer to lowering carbon emissions (greenhouse gasses) and reducing fossil fuel reliance.

This is because the fatty esoterics derived as a combustible source from any bio-fuel material FREEZES at 32 degrees F. An additional VERY COSTLY step is needed to lower the freezing temp of the material.

A blend of no more than 15-20% is viable for use in aerospace industry.

Also, the carbon footprint in jets is two tiered,,at altitude and on the ground.

At altitude, the progress made in engineering more efficient engines will reduce carbon emissions from the current 11% of all emissions to 5-6% by 2016. So no need for bio-fuels to reduce emissions at altitude.

The use of 100% bio-fuels in ground equipment (taxis, buses, servicing equipment, etc) will free up production and lessen demand for the aircraft 15-20% blend, thereby making it cheaper, and less reliance on fossil fuels.

Algenol and other bio-fuels ARE the answer for ground equipment and algae is the cheapest source in the Future but not today. I agree we need to pursue algae as an additive to fossil based fuels for the future.

Others such as beans (soy, canola, coconuts) are good, and sugar cane is second behind algae in resources and energy required to produce. ( I am totally dumbing this down so others can understand).

Sugar cane requires massive amounts of arid land and the right temperatures, which makes it only viable in countries like South America. Anyone can grow algae in their backyard in most climates.

Corn as a viable ethanol source has been "played like a fiddle" to most Americans as robbing land and driving up feed prices for stock. Nothing can be further from the truth.

First of all, compared to algae, sugar cane and beans, corn is very low on the energy used/energy produced factor. It also use a LOT of land.

Second, every large corn based ethanol producing facility is built right next to the huge cattle stockyards in Colorado, Texas, California etc. This is because the result of distilling, extracting the ethanol from the corn, what is left is a 100% nutrient based food product that is made into pellets and front loaded straight to the stockyards.

Therefore, the "corn used for ethanol takes away from stock feed position" is ridiculous and totally false!

Hey look at all the moonshine stills in Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, etc. A Pig farm is a necessity to destroy the 100% corn mash left after the distilling process!

Also, we are talking feed corn, not Sweet Corn. Humans eat Sweet Corn. Sweet corn is a total of 1% of all corn grown in the U.S.. There is zero correlation.

It is all news driven by the distributors and speculators to tell MSNBC and the like who do not research or vette for a second, the TRUTH. And then Americans follow and base their opinions on what they read in NYT, WP, Fox, MSNBC etc. and the middlemen and speculators (commodity traders) get rich at our expense.

LOt os alternatives needs lots of reasearch. One rule to keep in mind that there is no nirvana. The capital requirement, accidents, reliability and final cost to consumer and likely mesh they will live behind as biproduct or otherwise.

Other day I was waching wind turnbines farm. They had few I can see were not spinning. Maintanance and repairs are very expensive and often in winter may be high risk and costly. If cost is truly lower and investment required are not so large, and more efficient technology may not come very soon, lot sof things can be done.

But it is not cheap and risky investment. Ultimately its day will come..till then...

I erroneously worded a paragraph wrong in my last post.

"Additionally, all the research by NASA, IASC, FAA, ICAO, Purdue, Germany, etc is that bio-fuels are NOT the answer to lowering carbon emissions (greenhouse gasses) and reducing fossil fuel reliance."

Should read- "Additionally, all the research by NASA, IASC, FAA, ICAO, Purdue, Germany, etc is that bio-fuels are currently NOT the answer to lowering carbon emissions (greenhouse gasses) and reducing fossil fuel reliance, but show great promise."

        My bad.

Joe Biden is a buffoon, but finally has found a job he can do for the most corrupt administration in history. He is now the official taste tester with media offerings and sound bites. If he says something that will not poison the liar-in-chief, they run with it, if his ramblings are detrimental, they all just shrug it off as Joe Biden being Joe Biden.

Every liberal out there on the Obama team feels Joe Biden is experienced and helps the inexperienced Obama who appears to be lost and a junior flip. The bottom line: Biden is experienced as being a stooge and always opening his mouth at the wrong time and making stupid and emotional statements without using his pee brain before he speaks. Can you imagine this guy trying to make a rational decision in a crisis!! You better hope the real hope and change comes in 2012 when all of these liberal demorat losers in control of our government get tossed out!

Wonder what Biden will say about the upcoming vote in Arkansas? An unknown Democrat challenger has polling numbers at 38% to Obama's 45%. He has no organization, has barely conducted a campaign, has no election posters and he's at 38%? Says something about how Arkansans feel about the Messiah's policies. They think it's camel dung.

I like to listen to him while I'm anticipating his next gaffe. Like watching a Nascar race, and anticipating the next crash. LOL

He is a great matchup with Obama. Like dumb and dumber. They were in fine form with the Gay marriage debacle. LOL And lets not forget Biden's claim about the "summer of recovery" LOL When was that?? Oh yeah, about two years ago. LOL

So a convict gets nearly 40% of the vote running against Obama, and their response is to blame Bush.

It is so obvious that this administration has no clue what they're doing, and they are panicing.

I just hope they keep using the blame Bush tactic. Too many people see through the smokescreen that while Obama had inherited a bad situation, 3.5+ years later, the blame for making it WORSE lies with him.

Rather than man up and say we need to refocus our strategy, or even just admit that the darn recession was tougher than to fix then a community organizer first thought it would be, he keeps making a fool of himself blaming Bush for everything.

I cannot stand Bush, and am glad he's retired. But Obama can learn something from him, how to be a man. Bush said what he thought, and stood tall when it went bad. I'm not defending Bush, but if you think about it, Obama would benefit by standing tall and stop being so arrogant.

But he won't, and he'll most likely lose the election, unless Romney pulls a Kerry and blows it.

(What's a "Kerry" you ask? That is someone who is so inept that they lose to BUSH!!!!)

Who is smarter, the teacher or the student? Seems to me that the teacher should be fired for incompetence. Apparently she doesn't understand the basic rights set forth in the Constitution. Which about sums it up for Obama too.

A North Carolina high school teacher was captured on video shouting at a student who questioned President Obama and suggesting he could be arrested for criticizing a sitting president.

The Salisbury Post, which first reported on the YouTube video, did not identify the teacher in question, who is reportedly on staff at North Rowan High School. The video does not show faces, but the heated argument in the classroom can clearly be heard.

"Do you realize that people were arrested for saying things bad about Bush?" the teacher said toward the end of the argument, telling the student, "you are not supposed to slander the president."

The student told the teacher that one can't be arrested "unless you threaten the president."

The argument started when the classroom began discussing news reports that Mitt Romney bullied a fellow student when he was in high school. At the time, The Washington Post had recently published a lengthy article alleging that Romney, as a teenager, had cut off another student's hair.

"Didn't Obama bully somebody though?" a student in the North Carolina classroom asked when the report was brought up, referring to an incident Obama described in his memoir "Dreams From My Father." In the book, Obama wrote that, as a child, he once pushed a female classmate after other students taunted them -- the only two black students in their grade -- and called Obama her boyfriend.

The teacher, in the video, said she didn't know whether Obama bullied anyone -- but the argument quickly escalated, as the teacher yelled at the student, telling him "there is no comparison."

"He's running for president," she said of Romney. "Obama is the president."

The student argued that both candidates are "just men," but the teacher took issue with the statement.

"He's just a man. Obama is no god," the student said.

The teacher responded: "Let me tell you something ... you will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom."

The teacher went on to say the two candidates are "not equal."

According to the Salisbury Post, the teacher is still employed and has not been suspended.

"The Rowan-Salisbury School System expects all students and employees to be respectful in the school environment and for all teachers to maintain their professionalism in the classroom. This incident should serve as an education for all teachers to stop and reflect on their interaction with students," the school said in a statement, published by the Post. "Due to personnel and student confidentiality, we cannot discuss the matter publicly."

The video was first posted online last week.

Dick Cheney just gave his endorsement to Romney. With this, Romney now has the war monger, let's help Haliburton get even richer vote, torture is a great idea just don't charge with being an international war criminal, and pshcyo personality block. WOW. What an endorsement. Good point about Byrd. He was another life time politician, something that should be illegal. There is a REAL CHOICE. Romney, Geroge Bush Part II via Cheney, and the let's go back in time when black americans knew their place, women stayed in the home where they belong, america ran the world, environmental laws didn't exist, and religion over science because going to the moon and cell phones and the internet is just something we can do without REPUBLICANS or forward with Obama and the democrats.

Too bad the initial acts of the Obama Administration did not involve the "Laser Focus" on jobs. Two years on the Stimulus that "created or saved" jobs at $500,000 a piece. And the unconstitutional ACA. With the Economy collapsing, President Obama was looking for the ice cream man. One and Done!

Typical Joe Biden dances around the truth. The reason Obama will lose WVa by a very large margin is his effort to outlaw coal. Almost half of the families in the state are tied to the coal industry. Over seventy percent of the United Mine Workers members will vote against Obama. Even Sen.Joe Manchin has thrown Obama overboard because of his efforts to shut the coal industry down. Let's tell the truth. The President is very, very unpopular. The latest polls in West Virginia show Romney with over 60% of the vote in a blue state.

My 2 Cents: Joe Biden speaks from his heart and one of the few lawmakers that hasn't taken special interest money, rides a bus to work and is concerned a very good lawmaker. This country is lucky to at least have one man like Joe Biden working on behalf of the american people. So as you pick his remarks to pieces you should think about that and what it says about the President picking him as Vice President. Joe Biden is not Perfect but he cares about us all and so does the President. You look at the average level of education that vote for the GOP and that explains a lot. I watch Fox News, CNN and MSNBC and I am amazed at the difference in display of intelligence and how Fox News approaches issues in contrast to CNN or MSNBC. I will say this. Abundance of Resources dictate the viability of an economy, not currencies. The ability of a government to effectively tap into its own Resources has everything to do with recovery. Leveraging those Resources takes money (stimulus) and it is impossible to fix the economy without infrastructure spending. The US Debt is a myth in terms of its impact on the ability for the government to exploit its Resources to bring about econmic recovery. The GOP using tactics of debt, spending and size of goverment to brainwash people into putting more people out of work and giving more power to corporations is a marxist and communistic agenda.

The polls are meaningless right now. The fact the polls show they are close means to me that by November and after the debates; the President is going to beat Romney worse that he beat McCain. Romeny is a joke. He stands for nothing and stands for everything and anything that is in front of him. He has no BACKBONE. He has zero leadership persona or character. He will say whatever the wind blows in front of him or just say "I stand by whatever I said, whatever that was". LOL! He is a Mormon and wonder how many christain evangelist are going to vote for him? Few. He has zero international governing experience, he is bought by corporations and is completely out of touch with americans and can't articulate anything with substance and can't explain his position on anything and will tell you nothing about what he is going to do to fix the economy or how he plans to govern. I can't wait to see the debates.

It all comes down to the state of the economy in late October, 'Sabbib'. Then we'll have the only poll that matters. Interesting that all of a sudden, religion is an issue to Obama supporters. JOBS and the ECONOMY - a scary place for 'the one' to be if he has to run on his record.
