Obama: Rev. Wright to return?

The New York Times: “A group of high-profile Republican strategists is working with a conservative billionaire on a proposal to mount one of the most provocative campaigns of the ‘super PAC’ era and attack President Obama in ways that Republicans have so far shied away from. Timed to upend the Democratic National Convention in September, the plan would ‘do exactly what John McCain would not let us do,’ the strategists wrote.’”

More: “The plan, which is awaiting approval, calls for running commercials linking Mr. Obama to incendiary comments by his former spiritual adviser, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., whose race-related sermons made him a highly charged figure in the 2008 campaign. ‘The world is about to see Jeremiah Wright and understand his influence on Barack Obama for the first time in a big, attention-arresting way,’ says the proposal, which was overseen by Fred Davis and commissioned by Joe Ricketts, the founder of the brokerage firm TD Ameritrade. Mr. Ricketts is increasingly putting his fortune to work in conservative politics.”

First Lady Michelle Obama will be on the Food Network’s “Restaurant Impossible” in June.

What's next?

Is someone going to claim President Obama wasn't born in this country and demand to see a birth certificate?

What is wrong with this picture? The system is rotten.

What does Reverend Wright have to do with anything? What about all the scandals involving politicians and right wing pastors over the years?

Why is the Right so bigoted, abusive, and narrow-minded - while claiming to espouse the teachings, practices and love of an enlightened man called Jesus?

That Rickett ‘s guy son is gay. I wonder how does it feel about his dad tying to taint our Presaident? Ricketts spent a lot on Sharon Angle and wanted the tax payers here in Chicago to cough up the money for his purchase of Wrigley Field.

Sharon Angle??? That says it all. He is a whacked out tea bagger. I wonder how much has he given to the Deadbeat Dad in our state?

BTW: Tea bagger participation is down. This is gonna backfire. KKKlanity is also pushing the Ed Klien book about our President ‘s association with Rev Wright and some bribe or tape. Of course KKKlanity mentions Rev Wright and Bill Ayers every night.

More bs from Republicans. Unlike the President, they have no successes to offer. Ask yourself, in the last decade, just what have Republicans done to benefit this country?

It's Not the Right Bill; It's a stunt

Just as they did in March in the House of Representatives, Republicans forced a vote on a bill that was supposed to resemble the president's budget, but wasn't actually the president's budget. A Republican Senator submitted it, and called for the vote.

This vote, on a Potemkin "Obama Budget," is not intended to be taken seriously. It's a stunt designed to get a slag into the newscycle, and they tend to work. What happens is a Republican legislator presents a "budget proposal" that's designed to be a satirical presentation of an "Obama budget." Democrats don't vote for it, because they recognize that it bears no resemblance to their budgetary preferences. Back in March, it was Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.) who got the Harlequin role in this bit of legislative commedia dell'arte. As Dave Weigel reported at the time,

Mulvaney presented the pretend Obama budget with a knowing wink :

"It's not a gimmick unless what the President sent us is the same," Mulvaney snarked. "We are voting on the President's budget. I would encourage the Democrats to embrace this landmark Democrat document and support it." (Calling a Democratic effort a "Democrat" effort is a minor swipe.)

As House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi succinctly explained at the time, "It was a caricature of the president's budget, so we voted against it."

You're assuming the tea people Koch republicans know the difference between what is real and what is not Beverly. They have this weird believe lies are real and truth is not.

BTW: Has anyone thought to ask them why they put out their strategy before they implement it? Vary interesting.

Even McCain knew this was a bad idea. If there are any sane Reps left they better put the brakes on this fast. Remember how dumb Trump looked when he was brewing up all that birth certificate crap while Obama was ordering the hit on Osama. This new Ricketts plan could prove to be catastrophic since the president is constantly dealing with real world issues while the fringe right and billionaires in a bubble are brewing up fake garbage.

If you ask me, all those Black pastors who claimed they weren't going to support Obama for voicing his personal support of gay marriage, ought to look long and hard at the swiftboating of Rev. Wright. The Republican Party does not care about religious freedom, civil rights, or the feelings of African American ministers. They will destroy anyone who gets in the way of increasing profits for hedge fund managers.

This is their strategy for being silent on Gay Marriage? It's completely a looser. While Republicans put through over 1000 bills in the state house and the House in Congress against women and gays, they run to the camera and pretend they don't have a problem. Rachel Maddow covered this brilliantly.

The heat is on relative to Gays, mistreatment of Women, that War on Women that they pretend doesn't exist. Just yesterday the entire house of Rep in the congress voted to simply dismiss certain ethnic groups of women, took away their protection, so any abuse they incur, will be ignored. Women, if you don't get this now the future won't be good in this America for any woman it will only get worse.

The war on Education of our kids, at the Public Schools, Colleges, Elderly Meals on Wheels Program is being ripped away for senior citizen 70-80 years old the Republicans are saying they should get jobs

America this election is really a choice, we already know how our teachers around the country in Republicans controlled states have been fired, benefits tossed, fire fighters pensions, police pensions, terminations these are the people we depend on who give their very lives to protect and serve.

No regard for those who are responsible for ensuring their education and their childrens, nor the protection of their homes, and lives

Sad day America, if we don't wake up this election, American won't recover for another 50 years.

Let's see. Obama attented that radical racist church for twenty years?? And that just may have changed his perspective on America?? LOL

Doncha know??Barrack and Moochelle are all about uniting Americans, not dividing them. Moochelle said she was finally proud to be an American. Like before that moment she wasn't proud of being American at all.

A few multi-million dollar super vacations would sure make me smile for the camera too.
