WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Making her first appearance on NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday, Senator Kelly Ayotte, a New Hampshire Republican, said she is more ready to be president than Barack Obama was when he was a sitting senator.
"I have, some would say, better experience than Barack Obama had when he was a senator and ran” for president, Ayotte told David Gregory.
The freshman senator and former attorney general for New Hampshire, Ayotte said having served as the "chief law enforcement officer" of her state and on the Senate Armed Services Committee has given her that experience needed to be president – or perhaps vice president.
New Hampshire's junior senator has been discussed as a potential vice presidential pick for the presumptive Republican nominee, Mitt Romney. Asked whether she would "like to be on the ticket" with Romney in November, Ayotte didn't shut down the idea.
"Well it's an honor to be mentioned in that vein but my focus is on serving New Hampshire and there's so many good candidates out there that Gov. Romney has to choose from," Ayotte said, recalling the names of two fellow senators, as well -- Marco Rubio of Florida and Rob Portman of Ohio. "So he's got a lot of great choices."
Last week, Romney held an event with Ayotte in Portsmouth, N.H. which was viewed by many as a tryout of sorts for the no. 2 spot on the Republican ticket.
Romney campaigns with Ayotte in New Hampshire amid short list speculation
This morning speaking on Decision 2012 roundtable at Meet the Press, Ayotte said Romney must choose a VP with whom he is comfortable, who is ready to serve as president, and who brings to the ticket not only geographical benefits but also knowledge of the issues.

Don't hurt yourself sweetie... patting yourself on the back!
There is no way Willard is going to 'pick you'!
You can thank your fellow tea baggin twisted sister Sarah for that!
The powers that be will force Willard to stick with Wonder white bread this go around!
Breaking News for Sunday, May 06, 2012 ....
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows Mitt Romney earning 47% of the vote and President Obama attracting 46% support. Three percent (3%) would vote for a third party candidate, while four percent (4%) are undecided ....
And so early in the race .... "LOL" ....
"LOL" ....
Looking great for Mitt ....

Breaking NEWS!
Ron Paul supporters have taken all the delegate slots at the Maine Republican convention!
Romney supporters pulled a dirty trick, circulatting a false ballot, but they were defeated anyway!
Lawyer for Romney (same guy who lead Bush recount in Florida 2004) is contesting the Ron Paul win. Why isn't the national press reporting this?
http://pollways.bangordailynews.com/2012/05/06/national/paul-v-romney-day-2-of-the-maine-gop-convention/
If carrot tops parents had free contraceptives, we wouldn't have to listen to her silly, irrelevant posts today.
In this situation I can see the benefit of free contraceptives in some cases!
Obama couldn't fiscally manage a wiener cart ...."LOL"
You mean like the well thought out rational @!$%# YOU post?
Sad to hear the best part of you ran down your mothers legs...
What is up with you baggers & your wiener fixation?
Marcus is that you?
Amy,
I agree, no one is covering this. Paul's ability to use the rules of the GOP state conventions to elect delegates and committee people for the national convention wlil give Romney headaches for expected seamless nomination in Tampa.
Poor Obama's poll numbers are plummeting .... "LOL"
And someone doesn't like it .... "LOL"
http://www.pressherald.com/news/Delegate-fight-Snowe-LePage-today-at-convention.html
Thanks, NorthStar. Did you know Maine is the sixth state to choose majority Ron Paul delegates? Not only is the Republican Party NOT united behind Romney, Romney's lawyers and dirty tricks are alienating the libertarian wing of the Party.
Even the Democrats are running to Mitt now .... "LOL"
Well feel proud Mark because with your Republicans war on women it may get worse since they're forcing women to have babies they don't want. In 20-25 years there could be millions of Feisty Redheads. lmao
Wasn't it the Republicans that said you can't believe in poll number?? Oh wait...that's only if they are against you but if they are in your favor then they're good. Never mind.
Mitt didn't seem to warm up to Ms. Ayotte, who lacks the "sparkle" to be a game changer.
Amy B. Portland, ME -- The topic of Romney and the establishment rigging the primary is a topic in itself. FOX Noise isn't going to report on it, and the rest of the media hasn't taken the primary seriously enough to report anything except shenanigans that generate higher ratings.
The GOP/TP primary alone, with the fraud an inept management tells us whata clusterf@#$%k the Teapublican Party is now. But Romney, he is the most shameless POS I've seen in my lifetime from the non-stop lying to fraud to slinging mud -- what a complete turn-off the man is.
The other candidates know what's been going on too. Iowa for Pete's sake! Well it's their Party and they can cry if they want to. For the rest of the nation, it is just more chipping away at people's trust in our system. Too sad.
Mark from Lake Tahoe -- And how is your post relevant to this thread? Contribute something meaningful or step off.
As for the rest, try to get more sun. You development has been stunted.
You have to addMITT ....
At least Romney can add and subtract .... "LOL"
Obama out in 2012 ....
One thing I've learned from First Read is that feisty is first on every new thread and she will say at least one totally disgusting thing every time! It must be true that she's a paid shill for the blog... others would be suspended for such remarks!
One thing I've learned from First Read is if it wasn't for double standards the right wing nuts wouldn't have any at all!
In case YOU missed it, Mark swerved into MY lane - you are sadly mistaken to think I'm going to yield for POS like that!
Are we clear now?
Don't get all huffy because Obama's poll numbers are tanking badly now .... "LOL"
The smart ones are just stepping in now to save America from Obama's disasters
So be happy ....
Clear enough ....
Guess little Benny missed the article where even Karl Rove said if the election were held today, Willard would LOSE!
Cool your jets dude & at least try to find a more moderate poll then Rasmussen!
Feisty, he needs more sun.
Uhtred, feisty... commonly know as carrot top because she reminds us of the Vegas lounge act of the same name, doesn't bother me in the least. Her character is typical of the hate we see from liberals and socialists and by being Obama's #1 supporter is very good for those of us who really don't like Obama's failed Presidency! Keep it up carrot top! Keep it up, lmao!
Like I said ....
Don't get all huffy with me ....
It's not my poll numbers .... "LOL"
But they do look great ....
Don't you think .... ??

Yep, Feisty can be over the top sometimes. Don't know who this person is - and - I really don't need to.
Feisty is a street fighter. It is pretty easy to tell the difference between someone that 'wants to' and someone that has had to.
It's not all sweetness and light outside the walled enclave. If you have problems dealing with the real world - pretend you are 'rich' - just ignore it and drive on by ...
No worries Marky - I plan to...
Strange - that's the exact same thing your wife says!
However, she doesn't find your impotence the least bit funny. You might think about dropping the lmao next time you try to score a piece... ;o)
Obama's loosing to Mitt in the Rasmussen Poll .... "LOL"
Whhoooooooopppppssss ...."LOL"
Romney talking to empty factories, warehouses, and business must be working. Just keep doing more of the same.
I doubt Obama will wait for Romney to catch up, though.
But it's Obama who's falling farther and farther behind ....
And he knows it ....
Compared to fascism, theocracy, autocracy, and all the possible combinations we see from the far-Right, socialism is looking better and better every day. Perhaps France is just the beginning of a Western Spring... You'll have no one but yourself to blame rightwing douchebags!
Is Romney the 'behind' that Obama is falling to?
The Republican concern is that Romney will become a bigger 'behind' than he is already.
Bigbenalaka, keep dreaming..... Right wingers, why are you so full of hatred for Pesident Obama just because he dared to dream? If you all think you were better than him why did you not challenge him 4 years ago? And if you think you can do a better job now, why are you not out there applying for the job? It takes more than badmouth to occupy the position to be sure. Honest observation and assessment should at least acknowledge his effots and challenges, but you appear to be so blinded with hatred you cannot really see.
carrot top, many others besides uhtred believe you are a shill for First Read, yet you always ignore THOSE accusations! Methinks you have many other dark secrets we don't know about.... being a truck stop troll is something else you cover up too I see....!
Oh, I see the Viagra has kicked in and now you're full of yourself! lol
I have no idea what rock you have been living under, but, I have said repeatedly, I get paid the same amount as every other Newsvine poster.
Check the earnings tab on your home page... Goober!
One thing I've learned from First Read is if it wasn't for double standards the right wing nuts wouldn't have any at all!
Jesus Christ Feisty, Now you're stealing my lines!
I agree you need some new material, but taking my comments and twisting them into your sick fantasy is downright creepy.
Amy Portland
Leave it to the press to get it wrong again.
What Ron Paul has been doing is everything possible to get delegates favorable to him selected, even if they had to vote for someone else on the first ballot.
What you are seeing is not and indication of the dislike for Romney, but rather behind the scenes underhandied maneuvering.
Think I'm silly?
Ron Paul won the CPAC straw vote something like 3 elections in a row until Romney broke that string. What was going on was Ron Paul was using campaign funds to purchase tickets to CPAC and giving them to people loyal to him in sufficient numbers to win. This year, Romney bought more than Ron Paul did.
Nice try WCA - you originally stole the line from me & I decided to re-claim it little buddy!
Payback really is a bitch... lol
What is sick, is a supposed grown man following me around like a little bitch in heat!
By the time the election rolls around, I am going to have to super-size my Public Storage space to accommodate my pet rock collection, peaches! ;o)
Following you around? Yeah right.
Just once I would like to post on here without having to read your nasty reply within minutes.
Don't know about payback, but that description sure fits you.
Sorry, sweetie but regardless of your fantasy world, that is my line. I don't ever expect you to admit it though.
Face it Feisty, you can't get enough of me.
Really?
If that is the case, it should be super easy to verify!
I will be waiting...
That might be the case except for the fact, your comments say otherwise!
Where is Spanky's skirt to hide behind when you need it most?
Skip on along now... Stanley Stalker!
God you are an idiot.
You don't even know when you are being set up.
Thanks for proving my point.
is KELLY as STUPID as Failin"? There's a REAL question...
To all of you jealous left wing nut jobs - didn't you know, Feisty is part of the vast Right Wing Conspiracy and that is why she is 1st on these posts. It is so you can't be which really makes you mad, doesn't it?
Feisty - Hello to you! Big news day!
bigbenalaska - Why do you put "LOL" in all your posts? What are you a 12 year old girl?
DB Akron -
You're not silly. You are LYING.
Big difference.
Ron Paul has won the majority of delegates.....
IN EVERY STATE CONVENTION THAT HAS SELECTED DELEGATES SO FAR!
Ron Paul does not pay people to go. That is a lie.
I was at the Ma 8th districy caucus to support Ron Paul.
Neither I nor my 150 fellow Ron Paul supporters were paid or compensated in anyway, although the state gop paid for bagels. Of course, Romney supporters also got bagels.
If Romney is so popular, where are his supporters? How can we so easily outnumber them at the caucusses and state conventions?
If Ron Paul can't win, who are all these people showing up at the caucus and state conventions? Who are all these people at massive Ron Paul Rallies? Who are all these people donating money?
Ron Paul has true grass roots support.
Romney? All he has is money.
The people are rising up against more of the same.
We will no longer be ignored.
Ron Paul Revolution!
I think Fiesty may be in bed with the Newsvine editors - literally!
Is Ben really excited about a Foxmussen poll? Doesn't he know about them? ;)
and I thought the left wingnut liberal talking point was that Republicans hated women.
Obama dropped another point in just one day .... "LOL"
This is great news for hope that America can be saved from Obama and his disasters ....
Monday, May 07, 2012 ....
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows Mitt Romney earning 47% of the vote and President Obama attracting 45% support. Three percent (3%) would vote for a third party candidate, while four percent (4%) are undecided ....
And so early in the race .... "LOL"
Not looking good at all for Obama now .... "LOL"
A Rasmussen poll has the Republican/TP Inc. candidate ahead of the Democrat?!?!?!? Now there's a BIG surprise! The most slanted to the right pollster has the right wing person winning.
Now here is the rub: if the Republican/TP Inc. candidate is only 1% point ahead of the Democrat in the most biased to the Republican/TP Inc. poll, then that really doesn't look good for the Republican/TP Inc. person. Shoot, 1% is well within the margin of error. Only a deluded fool would be celebrating those numbers, and predicting a win based on them 6 months away from the election.
Ben the problem with that poll is obviously that it was taken at a clan rally in Alabama. If you got a good mixture of the real world then you'd see a much different answer. Every republican I know from the northeast sees doom in gloom b/c most conservative christian republicans won't vote for a Mormon.

basedrum - where was your poll taken at the welfare office, or a NAMBLA convention?
Don't worry freaky red, when Obama loses and comes back to Chicago you can sit around and talk about what might have been ...
They guy that is elected to mosquito control in my county has more experience than Obama had when elected.
Obama's lack of experience is so glaring that it will cause his down fall.
I would take Kelly Ayotte over Obama any day of the week, and any minute of any hour...well unless we were playing golf or basketball....I might chose Obama for that.
Right... Obama was an anomaly the first time. After what the country saw as a very unsatisfactory 8 years under Bush, Obama got elected under a message of hope and change for the future. Republicans have been trying and failing to turn around their party since. The second term he was elected because he now had experience at the position and had little to worry about as far as candidates from the opposition. I mean for Pete sake, he was facing Mitt "I changed my mind" Romney-care. Romney was their chosen candidate and even the Conservatives didn't like him. It was sad when they kept trying to find someone else in the Primary but couldn't. Now, I must say that one thing Republicans haven't done well since Ronald Reagan is optimism. Positive messages are generally more effective than the extremely negative campaigning that infests our politics these days. The GOP could learn a thing or two from that.
Anyway, the point is that it isn't that easy to run. Just ask Mitt Romney. The chances of getting elected like that are slim to none. Anyone who thinks they can successfully run on little to no experience because Obama did is probably kidding themselves. He was just in the right campaign at the right time. Twice. Don't see that happening a third time.
@ Devdic12able,
He has already been elected to president twice. Downfall from lack of experience? It's too late for that. He's practically made now. And he has experience on the job the hard way from his first four years. And with congress in the state it is in, what could he possibly lose anyway?
Kelly Ayotte is exactly right, she has much more experience than obama! So do 99.9% of politicans across the country!
Obama was an anomoly and the conditions in 2008 were ripe for a neighborhood organizer, such as Barry could sway many voters to the concept of Hope and Change.... a somewhat vague proposition that had a nice ring to it.
4 years later we find that Hope and Change were just words, meaningless.. and the last 4 years we can only see dozens of broken campaign promises from obama that are littering the landscape!
We made a major mistake electing such a neophyte to be POTUS!
Barry probably was a pretty good community organizer and as a politican, no one is better! It's a shame, though, that he's proven to be such an inept leader, businessman, administrator, etc.! And that's what is important, isn't it?
And yet Mr. Obama has managed to authorize the raid to kill Osama Bin Laden and have three straight years of growth after Bush created the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. For such a neophyte, he really is a remarkable person.
Obamanomics have failed drastically ....
Less than mediocre just doesn't cut it as president ....
Obama must go ....
Thank you for making the case that she's just another politician among the gazillion politicians. We all know she wouldn't be in consideration if it was not for her gender. Which is sad to say, because there are many women who should be considered regardless.
And fair to say Barrack Obama was unique, and though he originally had no plans to run--at least not in 2012--the timing and support aligned. But he was involved in politics from a very young time in his life, he paid his dues stumping for others in the Dem Party, and was simply a rising star, still shining bright.
Kind of interesting watching Ayotte pandering to become the pander to women.
Just how much pandering is Romney going to need?
Nerm_L -- Americans hate pandering. The rightwing in particular prefer crazy cowboy crap, from "stay the course" stubbornness even when in the wrong, to war mongering, heck executing people, but the candidate better have some balls. Romney is likely to pick someone like Portman -- the bland leading the bland. I think a few conservatives are going to stay home this year.
Picking Portman simply means that Romney would be pandering to empTEA politics.
Romney certainly cannot run as a liberal Republican - and - his record shows that is exactly what he is.
The only thing Romney can do is pick panders. The VP choice and cabinet slots will all be panders. Romney is running to be the pander President.
I concur True, the guy Rocks !!
Obama/Biden 2012
This is such a silly statement for the Sen to make. Barack Obama has been president now for three and half years. He has more experience than either she or Mitt Romney.
They are going to have to find another line of attack as the experience line just doesn't cut it along with a few other topics on domestic and foreign policies.
Furthermore, if Sen Ayotte really thinks most of the women of America will vote for her and Romney following the attacks on women waged by the republican party they are seriously delusional.
Why is it that the consistent drone from those seeking to deride Mr. Obama label him "a community organizer" and suggest this was the sum total of his experience prior to becoming President of the United States. Mr. Obama served as a community organizer when he was a young college graduate.
Why the patent dishonesty of ignoring and never mentioning Mr. Obama's election to the United States Senate in 2004; his 12 years teaching Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago Law School as a Lecturer from 1992 to 1996, and as a Senior Lecturer from 1996 to 2004; his 2-year Visiting Law and Government Fellowship at the University of Chicago Law School; his directorship of Illinois' Illinois's Project Vote, a voter registration campaign with ten staff and seven hundred volunteer registrars; it achieved its goal of successfully registering 150,000 of 400,000 unregistered, disenfranchised African Americans in the state (which led to Crain's Chicago Business naming Mr. Obama to its 1993 list of "40 under Forty" powers to be; his service at Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland, a 13-attorney law firm specializing in civil rights litigation and neighborhood economic development, where he was an associate for three years from 1993 to 1996, then attorney of counsel from 1996 to 2004; his service on the boards of directors of the Woods Fund of Chicago, which in 1985 had been the first foundation to fund the Developing Communities Project; and of the Joyce Foundation; his service on the board of directors of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge from 1995 to 2002, as founding president and chairman of the board of directors from 1995 to 1999; his election to the Illinois State Senate, and twice reelected to that seat.
Yes, as a young man before attending Harvard Law School Mr. Obama was a community organizer. Two years after graduating from Columbia University, Mr. Obama was hired in Chicago as director of the Developing Communities Project(DCP), a church-based community organization originally comprising eight Catholic parishes in Roseland, West Pullman and Riverdale on Chicago's South Side. He worked there as a community organizer from June 1985 to May 1988. He helped set up a job training program, a college preparatory tutoring program, and a tenants' rights organization in Altgeld Gardens. Obama also worked as a consultant and instructor for the Gamaliel Foundation, a community organizing institute.
Why would any American completely ignore such an impressive resume of accomplishment and accolades and instead label a man by the job he held as a young college graduate? The obvious answer is dishonesty and the intent to deride and deceive.
I suggest some of you learn to argue using facts, and honest dialog, rather than deception. Reach deep down inside yourselves and see if you can't find some tatters of personal character?
A person who ignores facts which do not suit his/her preconceived notions is practicing self-deception. If you cannot argue using facts, you really have nothing at all worthwhile to say.
He passed NDAA allowed Patriot Act to continue. What a miserable failure to correct these unconstitutional wrongs. I voted for Obama, 4 trillion more dollars later of debt and deficit, I'm afraid my daughters will not have the future my parents had to look forward too. My future is diminishing rapidly as well.
Its not democrat vs republican, its can the US sustain trillion dollar debts and multi trillion dollar deficits? The answer is no. The solution? CUT SPENDING!
Sure you can tax the rich, but they will just hide or move money. The problem is we can not afford our entitlement culture anymore. No matter how well intentioned
Luke
Those bills you speak of were passed by both the reps and democrats along with the preiasidents signing them. It seems that our leaders in Washington are waging war on the American people. It is not just one side or the other itis all sides.
Are you suggesting that Crash McCain and Stupid Sarah would have been a better option?????????
NDAA - National Defense Authorization Act. Vetoing the NDAA would have shut down the entire military - the military would not have had the authority to exist.
If the squawkers actually knew anything about how the government operates - they would understand that Congress first authorizes government operations and then provides funding for the authorized operations. Funding without authorization does not work.
-----------------
You can move out of the country - but - you still pay taxes until you revoke your citizenship. Let the 'rich' leave - they are contributing very little to the economy. It would be much better to simply collect the taxes without providing government services to the parasites.
-----------------
Grow the economy to support the level of government. It is not rocket science. Cutting government will only leave us with a weak economy and no government. Who will protect the wealthy then?
Luke Skyrunner
He passed NDAA allowed Patriot Act to continue. What a miserable failure to correct these unconstitutional wrongs.
The number rule is
what ever happens a Fight Club...,do no harm..., never reduce the power of your branch of government. Also, a president must never look week on national security. And when it's your butt on the line, error on the side of caution.Sure you can tax the rich, but they will just hide or move money.
I see this rationale all the time, and it's just silly. So heck, let's not even try to make the tax code fair. What do you think the Buffet Rule was all about? It would have required millionaires to pay a minimum 30% tax rate. Period.
The question people should be asking is why did Teapublicans block this? The rich representatives like Darrell Issa are obvious. But if you really did vote for President Obama before, are you telling us you're supporting Romney instead now? Ron Paul will be rigged out of the process. If so, why?
If you want a future for yourself and your daughters, vote to reelect President Obama.
Robert in Oregon
So he took office in 2005 and started campaigning for president in 2007. It is reported that he voted mainly present during his tenure. That really doesn't mean a lot as far as experience goes.
Rick, your comment just proved my point to everyone reading it.
You are one of those I described who chose to ignore facts which do not comport with your preconceived ideas.
Plus, your second sentence is entirely made up of whole cloth (either in your mind ... or perhaps you are parroting Sarah Palin on Fox News).
Sen. Barack Obama never once voted "present" in the United States Senate; not once. United States Senators vote Yay (yes) or Nay (no); or they abstain from voting.
In an interview with Fox News.com at the National Tea Party Convention on Feb. 6, 2010 Sarah Palin stated that Barack Obama voted "present" 150 times in the US Senate, which was a complete fabrication by a serial prevaricator. And you are repeating that lie. Proud of yourself?
Lying is a deep character flaw, Rick. And knowingly and willfully perpetuating lies told by others is no less pathetic.
You have outed yourself on this Newsvine thread. "Here's your sign."
Robert, they have to stick with the narrative they've been taught. It's meant to rally the mouth-breathing masses who are either too dumb to do their own research or know that they're lying when they parrot this nonsense and just plain don't give a damn.
FR friends, please excuse the more than usual typos in my post above. Odd, the site locked up and didn't even show the post for editing. Anywho...
Pedestrian-in-SF -- Watch Chris Hayes (now on-line) and two authors debating the psychological differences between liberal tendencies (e.g., embracing science) versus conservative tendencies (e.g., "circling the wagons"). This explains in part why the rightwing is adverse to history, facts like how old the Earth is, etc., but add to that the constant mind control bombardment by FOX Noise and Hate Radio and the current "group think" is what we get.
Robert, Thank you for the coherent, fact filled post. I agree 100%! Senator Ayotte is no better than President Obama. She's been a Senator for 16 months. Hello? Another bimbo from a cold, low population state that claims that she knows everything.
Where do you folks get all this misinformation? I think it is more than Fox. And as far as the GOP in general, I think that whole group of people are seething with anger that a black man won the Presidency over their inept ticket of McCain and Palin. And until, that anger goes away, the GOP can only do and say negative things about anything in America. To me, this is so obvious.
Bimbo really? Nooooooooooooooooooo, liberals are not bigots, racists or woman haters - MUCH!
For being a neophyte as you call him, he sure did a hell of a good job cleaning up Bush's F....ups.
quit crying about bush....pathetic.....ONE AND DONE BARRY
You have to addMITT ....
At least Romney can add and subtract .... "LOL"
Historians will be detailing the Bush Administration for years to come as will political scientists. That Administration will replace Herbert Hoover's as the most damaging to America. Bush even made Carter look good.
Go visit ground zero ....
Obama will go down as the worst president in the history of history ....
Even longer than that ....
Romney is a plutocrat, who if elected, would be a puppet for the oligarchy (corporations and 1%), as well as the religious-Right, neocon war mongers, and "starve the beast" Teabagger anarchists.
Romney only makes Bush look good.
Obama will go down as the worst president in the history of history ....
They weren't Bush's screw ups - they were Republican screw ups. Republicans like Mitch McConnell, Jon Kyl, Jim Demitt, John Boehner, Eric Cantor.
All of Bush's cheerleaders are the same ones that are screwing things up now.
Big Ben in Alaska, you are entitled to your opinion, but you are So Wrong,
He will go down as one of the best we ever had.
Obama/Biden 2012
Poor Ben......he is like a broken record or stuck on stupid.
Must have something to do with the long dark winters in Alaska it makes them delusional.

Surely you are not trying to pin the failures of the George W. Bush administration to stop the 9/11/2001 attacks, including at 'Ground Zero' ....on President Obama; are you?
Ben, your point (if you actually have one) completely escapes me. I'm just sayin' ....
Breaking News for Sunday, May 06, 2012 ....

Bigben, the Rasmussen poll is a right wing tool! You have to balance its findings with a more centrist poll. But of course, you don't know that, since your only source of info. is Fox "news".
bigben
And visiting the place where Bush/Cheney failed to protect America makes Obama the worst POTUS??? And the polls are going to go back and forth as quick as Willard's positions!
verno
That is the problem with Obama. He has spent so much time blaming Bush that he has completely ignored the Clinton screw ups that got us into this mess in the first place. We need somebody that can recognize the problem and fix it. Obama has no talent in that area whatsoever.
If memory serves me correctly McCain was leading in the Rasputin Poll wel....l until the day after the last election. I never tell the truth to political pollsters do you?
Last time I checked there was only one poll that counts, save yourself the dissappointment of looking stupid, keep your mouth shut till say Nov. 5th.
Go visit ground zero ....
Another monument to Bush's ineptitude. He was warned by the Clinton administration on the way out that Al Quaeda was a threat and planning something. But that's OK, you keep the worst president in American history!
Big Ben is just getting his digs in while he can. We need to give him a break... he has no legitimate platform to tout, no good news of late, no one to brag on, poor soul.
But it will be a tight race. The Rovian Republican Bull@!$%# machine has been fired up and has already started spewing it's crap. This is going to be a long and "lie-full" campaign by Mitt. Things like "the worst President in the history of history" is as technical as they can get.
Personally, I don't see myself waking up one day saying "Hey, let's try unabated austerity on the backs of the unfortunate by cutting every support program and ACA while cutting even more taxes and regulations for the rich, big business, and wall street... it worked before"!
LOL
Rick-312779,
so let me get this straight: Clinton who left the country with low unemployment and a balanced budget, smaller government, no wars and even managed to have a low debt is the screw up? But Bush who did not only spend spend spend, started two wars, increased the deficit, debt, unemployment, and the size of the government is not?
You are delusional!
Compared to what Bush did, Obama is doing well. Bush inherited all those listed above and reversed them (how was the country in 2008?). Obama inherited the total opposite and is reversing them back. It may not be as fast as all of us would like but in reality, it is easier to go from good to bad than from bad to good.
Who's ready to be President??? George Bush was ready to be President??? He went from his Texas politics where he was able to shove state legislators around to Washington,D.C. where he thought he could, until the big surprise hit him in the face two months into his Presidency. D.C ain't TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!
People who label Pesident Obama the "worst ever" merely display their historical illiteracy. TO them I suggest a litttle rsearch into the Presidency of Woodrow Wilson - who was not only the most inept, ineffectual and ultimately the most damaging to the world but also the most willling to curtail the personal freedoms that make this country what it is. Obama, so far, has managed to get the country away from the brink that his feckless predecesssor led it to. Instead of whining the country should be grateful and setllling back to enjoy another four years of responsible governance (which is surely coming.) As far as Ayottte is concerned why didn't she just say she's more qualiied than Sara Palin. That I could believe.
You obviously don't know Texas government.
Typical liberals still talking about Bush. What has Obama done that makes him a good president?
He has fixed eight years of damage done by the previous administration! That is more than the previous administration did in the entire eight years!!
Cripes. Grow up Alaskan idiot. Your spew is becoming tiresome. Rassmeusen Poll??? HAHAHAHAHAHA............ Big Ben. Nice try. Just because you wish it to be true doesn't make it true. Go back to Middleschool before your teachers catch you playing on the puter in an adult forum.
bigbenalaska
And so early in the race .... "LOL" ....
"LOL" ....
I am curious Ben why you would use LOL in quotation marks / air quotes - I would assume that means a fake Laughing Out Loud / sarcastically laughing out loud, not a genuine laugh. And if so, does that mean you are at your home actually forcing out a laugh from yourself as you post? seems odd one would go to those lengths when they are alone. Do you have an audience or imagining one? Just trying to understand the state of mind of someone who would do such a thing, and consequently the value of the comments they are bringing forth to the political discussion.
First, just to clarify one thing, President Woodrow Wilson, in the future will be greatly admired because he was the first national leader to think of a world wide institution, the League of Nations, as a point of unity for the whole planet. It fell apart because the member nations were not very willing to work together for the common good for the planet. Kind of like the United Nations today. The world's nations are still behaving like teenagers, trying to find out who has the biggest dick. In the future as the world governments mature, they will see the need to work together as the most effective way of survival on a planetary level, in the future this will be seen as a no-brainer, and it started with Woodrow Wilson.
Second, I want to know if Sen. Ayotte can Russia from her house, probably not, but I bet she can see Washington, DC!!
Rick .. do you mean the screw up that Clinton made by leaveing a surplus for the G W Bush administration
Watching Meet The Press yesterday, I realized Ms. Ayotte would not be a good addition to the GOP/TP ticket with Romney... because she pisses people off almost as much as Mitt does. The woman has NO original thought. Listening to her was the same as having a Republican strategist or pundit on the show. It was non-stop talking points.
Compare that to the interview with Biden, and it's even more obvious this women isn't even VP material. And compared to Hillary, not a chance.
Ronald Hussein Reagan -- Watch Chris Hayes (now on-line) and two authors debating the psychological differences between liberal tendencies (e.g., embracing science) versus conservative tendencies (e.g., "circling the wagons"). This explains in part why the rightwing is adverse to history, facts like how old the Earth is, etc., but add to that the constant mind control bombardment by FOX Noise and Hate Radio and the current "group think" is what we get.
Sounds like Ayotte has one of the traits Romney is looking for, she's a bald face lier, so if she is mormon she will be his choice. Being the chief law enforcement doesn't mean a thing other than your a little closer to the money.
Gary hasn't been paying attention the democrat controlled Congress from 2007 to 2010 created the Real Estate crisis and fallout to other sectors. We have Barney Frank and Chris Dodd to thank for blocking Bush's attempts to rein in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac... and here we are today. Frank and Dodd should have been indicted for their actions!
you mean a bald faced liar like obama?
The seeds of the financial collapse of America were planted when Republicans, representing the banks and investment houses, were able to repeal Glass-Steagall - the bill passed in the 1930's that restricted how financial institutions could do business. With its repeal, the financial sector was off to the races again, just like they were in the Roaring Twenties.
Bill T from USA -- Oh for @#$%! Pete's sake, give me a @#$%! break, steaming pile of @#$%!, STFU with your ignorant drivel.
Bill T--
Housing started their deep decline in 2005--straight down. Build up was over the years previous to that.
Freddie and Fannie were not the instigators of the decline--the intertwining of the global banking system was the culprit with the selling and reselling of mortgages so many times that the buyers found it impossible to discern who even held their mortgages. Freddie and Fannie got involved, but after the trend was well on its way. And it didn't help that the lenders were pushing for volume and did not screen buyers closely enough to determine whether or not they were able to handle the payments. Lots of people were tricked.
@Bill T from USA -- What an empTEA analysis. Mortgages never were the problem.
Lehman was not a mortgage lending bank. Bear Stearns was not a mortgage lending bank. AIG was not issuing credit default swaps on mortgages. Fitch, Moody, and S&P were not rating mortgages. Fannie and Freddie were not selling mortgages to the financial markets. TARP was not created to buy mortgages.
Investment banks collapsed our economy by splitting mortgages into derivatives and selling the junk to the financial markets. Derivatives allowed mortgage lenders to create mortgages without any risk. There were no 'bad loans' because the banks were selling the loans on financial markets as derivatives. The mortgage lenders needed mortgages - any mortgages - so they could sell product to the financial markets.
Deregulating banks - allowing lending banks to merge with investment banks - allowing the derivative ponzi scheme to go unregulated - THAT is what collapsed the economy.
Accusing Democrats of calling for less regulation - less government interference with business and finance - accusing Democrats of being the 'small government' party - is a blatantly empTEA argument.
Republicans plowed the field and planted the crop. It is too late for Republicans to complain about the harvest.
Bill T
"housing decline started in 2007"
Too bad you don't knkow your history - typical teapublican!
Looks like you misogynistic liberals will have a really good time with this one just like all the other women that you all have attacked relentlessly that had the misfortune of getting in the way of your political agenda.
The gospel according to Willard is that govt experience does not count in the resume derby. So what private executive experience does ms. ayotte bring to the table?
So what private executive experience does ms. ayotte bring to the table?
Well, none! She's a woman - you know, part of that 1/2 the population that Republicans are managing to alienate so thoroughly. Any vagina would do - Mitt is simply pandering to get the women's vote!
EEngineer,
that worked out well for the Republicans when they picked Palin!
the tragic death of George Lindsey opens up the race for the number two spot under Romney.
In his honor, Mitt has taken up the nickname of "Goober"
Ayotte's statement was factually correct. Obama was not qualified to be president and, unfortunately, our country has had to pay the price for his incompetence. Democrats are like sheep. Obama can just talk and they believe whatever he says. There is no such thing as an intelligent liberal.
Jesus Jeff....what the hell you smoking? Dems. are the sheep??? OMG...........you Reps. bleated and followed your liar in Chief W...over the cliff and into the abyss. Intelligent liberals will always eat your retarded repugs lunch on any given day or any given time. Just sayin...........
I guess I can assume republicans will be voting for OBAMA in November? After all, he IS the only one with more experience than ANY republican.
If republicans REALLY cared about experience and ability, they would NEVER have put Palin on the ticket in 2008. We know all of their bitching is just another feeble attempt to get some traction. Too bad they have alienated so many people. As a woman I won't vote republican ever, unless they throw out the nutbags and stop attacking women's rights and freedoms. They seem to like their women stupid, so any thinking women will reject them.
There are no doubts Obama has made plenty of mistakes. Even George Soros couldn't help, not that he wanted to, lol! If you want to talk about success...then look at how much George prospered managing Barry for the last 4 years! Yowza!
How exactly does George Soros manage Barack Obama?
I checked his bio to see why conservatives hate him so much and fund this; "Between 1979 and 2011, Soros gave away over $8 billion to human rights, public health, and education causes." No doubt that's the reason. There are few things that get under a conservatives skin more than those three.
Don't tell them that David H. Koch supports Public Television, either. Their heads will explode - and - I'm not volunteering to clean up another TEA Party mess.
Sounding like Dan Quayle; remember, he claimed to have more experience than JFK had. It was quickly pointed out to him that "You, sir, are no John Kennedy!"
Similar thing here. You, Ms Ayotte are NO Barak Obama!!!
Neither of these wannabes measures up, plain and simple fact.
(And you could throw Mittens in there with them because HE doesn't measure up either.)
Jon-1321288
And I checked as to why democrats hate the Koch brothers so much and after about a dozen pages of negative ads purchased by various liberal groups, I found this.
Liberals are destroying this country as history has already recorded. The democrats have had control over government for over 45 of the last 60 years. Look at who has been overly spending and supporting programs that are a total waste of money or just for one minority . This is against the constitution if programs are not for All Americans. The democrats were the supporters and started the KKK and White Supremacy organizations to suppress the American blacks. They have been keeping a tight rein on the blacks by giving and doing especially for them to keep them beneath the whites, Asians, orientals, etc. And the American blacks think they are helping them as a race but actually doing harm to them. America wouldn't be on the same path that Hitler took to take over Germany if the liberal/ democrats were better educated, read and learned the truth of the democratic party, and how it has taken 180 degree turn for the worst since its beginning. The democrats are destroying this country and looking for a free ride from government. Why is it that Obama has at least 95% of the black vote because he is HALF black, and not for his qualifications. Anyone with any common sense votes for the person who is MOST qualified, not based on color. The democrats are the biggest Racist of any group, mainly the blacks. Look at Al Sharpton, Jeremiah Wright, Jesse Jackson, Obama and the NAACP that preach Violence, Hatred, riot, steel from the whites. This is the complete opposite of Martin Luther King. MLK died in vein for his people, Working for a better future and Peace to All. You people better open your eyes and look at what is really happening in government, because NO party is fighting for America or its citizens. ABO in November!!
Fuzzy,
The Democrats of that time are the Republicans today.
How exactly is that?
According to your Republican peeps, it's the left who are the college educated snobs. You claim something different. Are you disagreeing with your Party?
How did Bush who bankrupted 2 companies get elected then? He surely was not the MOST qualified person.
And guess what??? all the hospitals listed above- John Hopkins, Sloan-Kettering, MD Anderson have lots of $$$$, they still can't cure pancreas cancer, lung cancer, primary brain tumors, and pediatric cancer any more than Billy Bob cancer center in Arkansas, or Farmer's Market Cancer Center in South Dakota.!!!! So donate away, it doesn't matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, the reason the Kochs support all the medical institutions is they want their hands on the research having to do with aging, the Koch brothers want to live forever, and be rich!!
Barlow-1919963
So you are saying that the motives of George Soros, Warren Buffet and Peter Lewis are more noble? I have some ocean front property in Arizona I would like to sell while you are contemplating on that.
All of those Koch contributions don't add up to one eight of what Soros has contributed to 3 causes without expecting attribution, but simply because it gave the most disadvantaged a chance. The Koch contributions were to institutions that mostly serve the rich, and the contributions often came at the expense of attaching the Koch name to the project. Listing the Koch contributions is just further proof that supporting the disadvantaged is something every conservative hates.
Liberals are not jealous of, or hateful towards rich and successful people. They only objects to rich people who argue that they should pay taxes at half the percentage rate of the middle class. Soros, Gates, and Buffett know they should pay at least the same rate, if not higher. they think that they belong to society, where people like the Koch brothers think they are above it.
Most of the contributions that Soros made went to the Democracy Alliance and organizations like moveon.org.
Jon - If all those rich Democrats think they should pay at a higher rate, why don't they?
@SteveH USA:
How much are you getting per rant? I heard it was 10 cents per.
Kelly who?
OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
Breaking News for Sunday, May 06, 2012 ....
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows Mitt Romney earning 47% of the vote and President Obama attracting 46% support. Three percent (3%) would vote for a third party candidate, while four percent (4%) are undecided ....
And so early in the race .... "LOL" ....
"LOL" ....
Looking great for Mitt ....
And America ....
Obama is up by 2 pts in the poll of polls and has a big electoral college edge right now.
Then that also would be telling Obama he's in deep trouble .... "LOL"
Big Ben in Alaska =Troll
Obama/Biden 2012
Big Ben in Alaska =Troll, and not a very bright one either!
Kelly had to pay Planned Parenthood $300k for merit-less prosecution. OK to have your personal opinion but it should not justify legal harassment.
"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows"
I remember back in late October of 2008 when Rasmussen showed McCain wining in Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. He lost every one of them.
At least Steven has spoken the truth with facts, unlike you liberals that JUST rant lies and cannot comprehend the truth. ObamaBucks are supporting most of you people. You have sold your souls to be told what to do and what you want. Ignorance is bliss, to you liberal Dem's!
If people that have any memory, they will remember then understand that Obama took office, with 2 unfunded wars and The Great Hoover, I mean The Great Bush Depression.
BIG BEN-You truly are a moron. Rasmussen Is the biggest of the right leaning polls. Always out of touch with 90 percent of other polls.try a site called real politics. I don't hunk you will like the fact that in 95% of all polls that matter your buddy is done before we got started. One last thing can you do us all a favor? STAY IN ALASKA. Have a nice day.
It's easy to see the portents of this election year. The people who will have a fact based operation, and those who's operation will be facts-optional. This would be fun to watch, if it wasn't so important.
Paul-2793107
I guess you are talking about the great depression brought about by thepolicies and deregulation of the Clinton administration.
Rick: Do you know how full of $hit you are?
SteveH,
thanks for your opinion...but could you use" I" statements rather than the universal "we" in your post?
I voted for Obama in 2008 and will do it again. He promised to pass heathcare reform to help those who are uninsured and he did.
Regardless of what the SCOTUS ruling will be in June, Obama was the first president in modern history who got this job done and provided change for many citizens who were denied coverage because of pre existing conditions and help small business owners to find affordable healthcare thorugh exchanges.BTW, my preminum for my insurance through my employer only went up 4% this year. It was the lowest increase in the last 15 years.
That rhetoric that our health insurance premiums have gone up since the Obama health care initiative started is FOX television rhetoric. The truth is my employer sponsored health insurance has gone up 350% in the last 10 years, mainly due to the outrageous cost of healthcare and insurance companies who make YOU & ME come out of pocket, it had nothing to do with Obama.
Just voted a socialist president in in France. Good time for you libs to move.
That just means we get our Liberal Progressive President in November. And dogs80, if you had any knowledge of world politics you would know that in France, a socialist is considered our Democrat. And our Conservative Republicans are more and more considered a ..... Let's just say the Germans outlaw this party.
Fascism is alive and well in the Teaparty Republicons!
Curr80 or is it dogs. You move. Go to Russia... but I suspect they wouldn't have a sniveler such as yourself.
Dogs80: We Americans are going to stay right here in OUR country.
You fascist need to get the $&## out of a republic that you hate the very idea of.
Sarah, go with Sarah. Please. Mitt?
If Disney's Goofy was running against Obama ....
Goofy would win ....
I mean Disney's Goofy would win ....
Or Michele Bachmann...
bben
finish the thought ... goofy would win the gop nomination.
Are you kidding me Bachman couldn't even get the Republicans to vote for her.
If Disney's Goofy was running against Obama .... Goofy would win .... I mean Disney's Goofy would win ....
Oh, damn! This confirms it! He's gonna pick Jeb BUSH!
He has to pick a proven GOP conservative, so they can spill out their conservative vomit rhetoric in the campaign.
Hope she wasn’t wearing a hat when she came to the show it will not fit now.
Well! now it looks like President Obama had the right idea all along slow and steady, in both Greece and France today they have voted the austerity government out of power. Mitt best rethink his campaign and saying that he thinks Ryan’s austerity Budget is marvelous and he hope it will be on his desk first day in office so he can sign it, or he will loss
And Obama's budget has us almost $16 trillion dollars in debt ....
That's some budget .... "LOL"
I hope you don't manage your home finances .... "LOL"
ranmarie,
Good point. Other European countries are also having elections. The voters in France have spoken that "only austerity" is a too extreme position. Aslo they thought Sakcozy was too brash.
ranmarie
You may want to wait and see how our economy responds to that decision before you start celebrating.
And Obama's budget has us almost $16 trillion dollars in debt ....
I'm a little tired of hearing this lie. Current debt is $15.5T. Bush inherited $5.8T. Bush created $6.1T. So George W. Bush and Republican majorities in both houses of Congress (6 outa 8 years) are responsible for 40% of our current national debt!
Do you get that? 200 years to build $5.8T in debt and 8 years to more than double it! Republicans are NOT fiscally responsible.
One of the reasons why the debt looks like it is so much higher under President Obama rather than Bush is because President Obama is counting ALL of the spending. Much of the spending for the two wars Bush started was treated as "emergency spending" and didn't show in the debt numbers. Remember --- it was George W. Bush and his Republican Congress who brought us two unfunded wars, two unfunded tax cuts, a massive, unfunded, new entitlement, the largest expansion of government since LBJ, the largest increase in energy prices in any 8 year period in our history, along with a net loss of jobs over 8 years all while turning the largest surplus of all times into the largest deficit of all times and leaving office with the worst economy since the depressions.
That's crap, Bush funded those two wars. Of course he used Chinese money, he didn't want to spend any of ours, he are smart!!
EEngineer
And then less than 4 years to double it again. And remember that most of Obama's expenditures are "off the books" because he hasn't a budget since 2009.
When Bush was pi$$ing away $ 5 trillion on wars for profit and oil we never heard
any republican express even the slightest concern.
Darth Cheney, when somebody brought up the subject, said, dismissively
"deficits don't matter."
hey big ben, those polls you so proudly gloat over,, was that rupert murdochs stations. If so,, I'm sure those could be disputed and corrected. Instead of a tabloid station, try REAL news, you may not hear what you want but at least you'll know what is the news.
Don't blame me .... "LOL"
Keep hoping though .... "LOL"
Obama's poll numbers are only going to get worse ....
OK Ben, we all get it. You don't need to post the same thing 3 times.
It looks so good though ....
Wouldn't you agree .... "LOL"
Polls by news organizations do not decide elections actual votes do...
Big Ben, only you would think it looks good, Troll
Your post are substandard and ludicrous.
The thing is, the Rasmussen polls have been pretty accurate at picking who is going to win in the general election.
Romney's doing better in the polls and he hasn't even won the Republican nomination yet.
Just wait until then!
Can you liberals help Obama pack his things? We wouldn't want Michele to pack up the china like Hillary did dwhen she left.
myvote-
Just like the majority of liberals you are dead wrong on that. There are a great many of us that thinks that looks good.
"the Rasmussen polls have been pretty accurate at picking who is going to win in the general election."
WHAT??? When?? In 2008 they were so far off it was laughable. Rasmussen in 2008 showed McCain winning Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Florida, Wisconsin, and Colorado. He LOST every one of them. Hey - some people believe in Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny too!!!
Cripes BigBen....can the LOLs ok? Shows just how stupid you are. But I'll give you this...you are like the grasshopper floating on his back with a hard on in the river. When he approaches a draw bridge..he hollers "raise the drawbridge". Ugh................
Nope, it is realclear politics.
hell anyone is more qualified than this ass obama.........ONE AND DONE BARRY
I've watched Ayotte on the Senate floor and in committees. You want to like her, but like the vast majority of politicians on today's right, there seems to be a block in her mental reasoning that keeps her from thinking everything thru to a logical conclusion. This includes her illogical conclusions on military matters. To watch that is truly amazing.
It appears that no matter how experienced you are, those from the extreme right just get more illogical with time. This is where Barack Obama beats EVERYBODY on the right. He ALWAYS considers all sides of an issue and therefore comes up with the best solution. His only problem is the rightwingers in Congress, all of whom are deficient in this area, standing in his way of getting the right thing done.
This, I believe is the best experience: a well-honed ability to make solid decisions based on a plethora of facts--all the facts available--not selective ones that support your preconceived notions. President Obama excels in this.
Obama doesn't excel in anything but destroying America ....
Where have you been .... ??
Repub creed, Never badmouth a fellow Repub no matter what happens to the country or world.
Democratic creed, Always badmouth a fellow Democrat who does not follow every line of your thinking no matter what happens to the country or world.
rosino -- Agreed.
In watching the Rock Center Special on bin Laden by Brian Williams (the video is free on the Internet if you haven't seen it yet), the president was impressive going to a disaster area while the Seals were en route, at the dinner while the seals were at their ETA, and never a moment did he shirk his duties or show any sign of the stress he was under. On top of that he was so thoughtful, so humble, and so thankful to his team. When he sat in a folding chair off to the side, I thought how Romney would have had the military person move from the head seat at the table.
That's all voters need to do, is imagine other candidates representing our country overseas, or taking that 3 AM call, or being attacked in every despicable way imaginable, and they will know to reelect President Obama.
If he is destroying America how come things are better economically now then when he took over ? Oh yeah you guys live in a bubble....I just love Maher's " Dispatches from the bubble " ...................You people live in an alternate reality..Were Obama is the most radical left-wing politician in history....The individual mandate in the ACA was a compromise with the right to get votes for it then none of them did....And they are saying no other person ever did something like this.....Except Romney did exactly this in Mass.
Agreed SW.
Obama/Biden 2012
Actually, sw, they aren't. More people than ever are unemployed - just because they aren't counted any longer doesn't mean that they don't want to work - and for longer lengths of time, gas prices are way up, food prices are up.
I don't know what you're smoking, but it must really be some good stuff!
Tammy, the last month of the Bush Administration, December 2008, saw 700,000 Americans lose their jobs. Nice welcome to the White House he left for Obama, right? The unemployment rate for that month was 7.8% and headed down faster than a bowling ball thrown off the top of a building.
SW Philly, the first universal health care bill was introduced in 1979 to assist employers who could no longer afford health care for their employees. It was introduced by Republican Senator Bob Dole, and it had a mandate nearly identical to that which is in the Obama health care bill.
Is it the President not doing his job or is it more like congress?
The President isn't doing his job by not making Congress do there's. The buck stops with Obama. He is very weak and is not qualified for the job, or not man enough to accept the responsibility, right or wrong!
God fuzzy...you are a real tool. Oh poor fuzzy wuzzy...bad ol President Obama for not making like a dick tater...is that clear enough language for you? Sigh................
The Fascists spew all this stuff about him being weak and irresponsible and not doing his job, while out of the other side of their mouths they're calling him a bully and a dictator.
And the Fascist morons who watch FUX noise thoughtlesly believe both lies.
I must assume everyone else was out of town, why else would David Gregory even bother to speak to Kelly Ayotte. All the Republican BS in New Hampshire has been voted down since she was elected, so you can pretty much count on her being a one-termer.
Considering how right-wing biased the Rasmussen poll is, if Romney is only ahead by 1% in it he is in a boatload of trouble. He'd need to be up by 4% or 5% in Rasmussen to be ahead in reality.
Not at all ....
This is a tremendous advantage so early in the race for Mitt ....
You can't possibly want any more time under Obama ....
We really can't even afford another day under Obama ....
His debt is rising at $1 million dollars every 20 seconds now....
Rasmussen had McCain ahead of Obama by 4 point three days out. I know because my brother lost $100 to me because he believed Rasmussen.
Well I do hope that Obama gets a couple of votes ....
So he doesn't feel too bad when he gets booted out ....
This election will be close. Thanks to citizens united, the Romney disinformation machine is extremely well oiled.
Toss in the new voter suppression laws as well...
It's goingt to come down to turnout - pure & simple!
are you talking about the Voter ID requirement. I was sent a voter ID in the mail I don't seeing the big deal either your registered to vote or your not. if you want to vote have ID or proof of residency it's not that difficult. I don't understand the issue or why anyone would make a big deal about it. if people are too lazy to get a ID and register to vote it's their fault no one Else's
PLSTOP---what about an 80 year old who has never had ID and who was born at home with no birth certificate because there was no Black hospital and do to Jim Crow was not allowed in the white hospital? But she has been voting for most of her life because they didn't have these laws before ....She can't get ID....But registered years ago...Why should things change for her ?
plstop, I am sincerely happy for you that you have a permanent address and mail box. I, too am blessed in this way. Many others are not. Think about it. I'm sure you don't think homeless people have no right to vote.
Isn't it amazing that the experts that we consider to be the best are the ones that are the best at telling us what we want to hear?
Sounds just like Obama has been doing since before the 2008 campaign. Talking the same talk to his lost sheep with ZERO accountability and performance. He has the liberal media in his pocket by his czars threatening reporters jobs and sending FCC and other agencies in on the different media companies. It is really amazing!
Fuzzy....got proof of your inane accusations? Inane means stupid..or idiotic..or.............You figure it out.
The fact people think Rasmussen polls are relevant show how desperate the right wing terrorists and traitors are.
Only Obama and Obama supporters enjoy the destruction and are hoping for a default of America ....
Oh silly ben, You obviously have not heard the rantings of a chubby, doped up rich, self-serving radio announcer. This clown actually freely admits he wants to see America fail. And some consider him the leader of the Repub clan.
That's funny ....
Because it's Obama who's been destroying America ....
Cabin fever that can get to be epidemic in our 49th State. Recently medical authorities named it "Palin's Disease."
ben, Is that what your favorite doped up radio announcer tells you? You should get out more. If you are not blind, look around big cities in the US. I will even tell you what to look for. CRANES! Every large city I have visited in the last 6 months has them sprouting out of their skylines. This is something that was not happening after about 2003 when all the construction projects that got their start under the Clinton administration wound down.
Now,I'm not saying that we are in a Clinton style economic boom, however, we are certainly in an upward trend. Every crane you see represents many good paying construction jobs. When men and women are employed, they spend money. Many small and large business's benefit from construction workers being employed. Also, you have to remember that buildings do not get built to give people jobs. Buildings get built because there is a demand. There is a need for space. And the last and most important thing you need to know is that buildings are built to provide a place for business to take place. When business takes place, people are making money. Even in a "destroyed America"?
Only Obama and Obama supporters enjoy the destruction and are hoping for a default of America ....
Hmmm, I seem to recall - wasn't it only a few months ago? - that Republicans were the ones hoping and actively working for the default of America! But they only managed to get America's credit rating downgraded!
Scott-3472837
Typical ignorant liberal response! You people must use the same manual for being so stupid.
You may thank Obama for the credit down graded. You democrats will not assume any responsibility for your own actions. This is truly sad of you people. Can't own up to anything but sure can blame others in a heart beat. Democrats have had control of government for over 45 of the past 60 years. Common sense dictates that the damage has mainly been done by the democrats, not the republicans. If you only had a brain! I am not party affiliated for either party. Just can read what is in the books. Liberals ought to try it once.
Nothing is relevent to a lib unless it is what they want to hear.
Nothing is relevant to a conservative unless is it from FUX News or Rush "Oxi" Limbaugh!
And just a thought about Ms. Kelly's experience as Attorney General, New Hampshire's "chief law enforcement officer". State Attorneys General are not law enforcement officers; they are more like the head of a law firm that represents a state. But I'm sure she knows that, but being the head of a law firm isn't nearly as glamorous as being someone who deals with crime, like a District Attorney.
The whole issue of experience is so overblown. Most people have forgotten that Dick Cheney was asked byBush to help pick his VP. Cheney decided that the perfect candidate would be someone who had been a leader in Congress, had worked in the White House, had served as Secretary of a major Department and as the CEO of a major corporation. Surprisingly, there was only one man in the country with all of those credentials. Eight years later, Mr. Cheney left office with an approval rating even lower than Bush, who had he lowest ever recorded for a President. Thanks to his experience and effectiveness, we were involved in two wars that were going abdly, had more than doubled the national debt and the economy was on the verge of the Second Great Depression. I will take an intelligent, thoughtful, pragmatic and well meaning amateur any day over a high powered expert in that mode.
Ayotte may be the Repub godsend. All Repubs should vote for her as a write in candidate, not for VP, for President. Hey, you never know.

If you are talking about Limbaugh, he has admitted he wants Obama to fail in his attempts at destroying this country not what You posted. But then a gain we see on a daily basis that you liberals are mostly careless with the truth.
The GOP are sure full of themselves. For Ayotte to compare the positions she held in her state to serving as the Commander in Chief of the US is ridiculous. Does she really think that she can fool many people?
Obama surely fooled allot of people ....
he didn't fool those who know how to spell "alot"!
b dune-go easy on poor bigbenalaska, as she skipped 5th grade today, just to be on Newsvine. She writes like my 8 year old niece, writes "LOL" on everything (but probably doesn't know what it means), and I can picture her giggling everytime she writes anything. Being that young, she has a very limited vocabulary, so she repeats the same thing over and over. Don't worry, Mom will find out and bibenalaska will have to go to bed without dinner.
Sorry bigben honey, you aren't fooling anybody, but you can still write in, and we will all get to giggle at you.
Kelly Teabaggie Alot of horse manure! What a simple minded woman she is! She is not vane, just delusional! She is just like alot of these teabaggies here on this post, DELUSIONAL!!!
News headline, nov, 06, 2012, pm. "OBAMA WINS LANDSLIDE RE_ELECTION" President Obama has won a landslide re-election bid, due to Rummey the Dummy and Marco Stupido"s budget plans. Americans from both parties, and the Independants, realized the potential disaster of the Repukelickans budget just in time to vote. Thus, giving the sitting President the landslide victory today! Thanks for waking up, America! Common scense prevailed in the election this day. Thank all the powers that be, we avoided the voodoo economics of the failed Bush years being heaped upon our shoulders again.
Yes indeed! The party of NO, must GO!!!
OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
Not a chance ....
Mitt is gaining too quickly in the polls now ....
Thankfully it's looking great for Obama to be booted out ....
ben, It sure could happen. Obama will not have nearly as many dollars supporting his campaign as the dog roof guy.
ben, give it a rest. you've been spouting the same drivel all day. go shoot a moose or something
Ben,
Have your heard Romney's latest plan to pay down the national debt? He is going to auction off Alaska to either Russia or Canada. Their just working out the details on the Oil Reserve and Pipeline Agreement now. As soon as that and the RFP are done it'll be ready to go to bid as soon as he is elected.
Nothing quite like RETHUG "optimism" - eventually, though, REALITY will set in...
James-316346
At least Romney has a plan, where as Obama doesn't plan, he just talks that he does. Obama has yet to have a budget. His only budget is spend, spend and spend. Then print more money, print more money. Obama's deficit has been over $1.3 Trillion dollars a year for the past 3.5 years. The highest over all the past presidents. Hope he doesn't treat his money like he does the American TAXPAYER. You liberals wouldn't know about paying taxes, since your on Welfare or ObamaBucks.
Fuzzy,
Obama submitted a 4.5 Trillion dollar spending reduction plan that the REPOOPlicans killed. They don't want to reduce spending any more than the man in the moon, it would cut off welfare to their corporate friends!
James-316346
The republicans tried to work with the democrats on spending. Obama wanted a blank check, which the republicans said absolutely NO. Reid has been holding bills and not presenting them for a vote, deliberately against the republicans trying to work a budget. Why is Reid sabotaging both the democrats and republicans? This is hurting America what Reid is doing or not doing. All the blame is not the republicans but both parties. Neither party are thinking of the best for America, but for themselves. Parties should be done away with and just have the Americas party. American citizens are losing from all the Treasonous politicians.
ben-I told you to get off that computer and go to school NOW!
Mom
Fuzzy, were James' words too may syllables for you? Obama put $4 trillion in cuts on the table and the tea baggers ran away from it. So much for fiscal responsibility - they won't agree to anything while Obama is in office.
Fuzzy,
Reid is sitting on a lot of so-called bills submitted by the bush league Boy Scout Tea Party congressmen that are nothing but a colossal waste of time, they won't pass the Senate, and if they did by some miracle, they would quickly get Veto'd. These naive little boy scouts have no idea how to be successful in Washington. America is slow to change, BY DESIGN, that's why we have survived as a country for two hundred plus years. When these petty little idealistic dreamers grow up they might become real congressmen but I am guessing that they will fail their re-election attempts before they get the chance. Good Bye Tea Party, you have no idea what you are doing, and you have not produced ONE job anywhere!
Republicans applauded when their Minority Leader McConnell prevented even the debating of bills that passed the House when the Democrats had control. A record 127 filibusters. They sure get upset though when the Majority Leader, knowing that he has he votes to defeat them, exercises his right to table their one sided bills.
Hmmm, didn't we hear this one before from a certain Dan Quayle?
Channeling Lloyd Bentsen's ghost...
"Senator Ayotte, you're no Barack Obama."
A loudmouth politician with an overinflated opinion of themself, what a rarity
The Senator from NH needs to learn to keep her mouth shut about her potential future. And, even if she could walk on water, why would an ex Governor from MA pick a Senator from NH as a running mate. Isn't going to happen!
khn, Don't be too sure. Look at the last clown the GOP put out there as the VP candidate.
Arizona coupled with Alaska. McSenile and FAILIN'... WHAT A COMBINATION...
Probably the last time the VP pick had even the slightest influence in the outcome of a presidential election was in 1960. Mitt Romney needs more than a good VP to pull this one out.
Yep, but Kelly Ayotte is a woman who believes that women are not capable of making their own choices about their own health care choices, so some of us, in fact many of us women would never vote for a woman who lets men tell her what she can and can not do. And how interesting is it that so many people can give Obama credit for nothing in his life. he did not become President at the age of 12. He went to college, law school, worked in the public sector, then as a professor, and then spent 6 yrs in the State Senate before moving to the US Senate. Now he has 3 yrs of experience as President. His foreign affairs experience is now strong, and although the economy is not great, in spite of the greatest financial crisis since the 30's, the economy has improved for 26 straight months. That ain't nothing!
Republicans know history all to well but because they have no excuses good enough to hold any water, they just ignore the truth and say whatever comes to their lips. Aoyett is a bold face liar who will do anything she has to do to get more power,,she's a puppet for the GOP,,she was no better here in NH when she was AG.
The truth is barry had no experience, he was a nobody is still a nobody and not deserving of the position! Barry is a puppet of the dems and he still doesn't have a clue on how to manage or lead our nation! barry gets a D- on his grade card!
Fact is stupidhorse: The President is way to good for this stupid hate mongering country. I am amazed that he would even want his job back..in light of all the hatred directed at him. The NO NO NO crowd aren't even good enough to polish his shoes.....but you have a nice life under your wonderful Willard the rat.
The GOP is in denial and will not accept any news as good news if it helps President Obama. Although There have been over 4 million private sector job created in the last 2 years they will not accept that as good news. They would rather go back to when President Obama took over and we were losing 750,000 private sector jobs a month. They think that going back to Bush's failed economic policies would be better.
I believe he went to college then worked and then went to law school. And later decided he could help people more being a politician. I wonder if he has decided that now that is an almost impossible job. Some of the haves just don't want the havenots to be haves too. Wonder if they ever ponder how they got what they got. Unless it was given to them I imagine someone helped them a bit. As I hear the repubicans I wonder how we could have such ignorant people in America! They will believe anything! When I think they have said the ultimate someone brings up something. And Romney is counting on the ignorance and lack of memory. Plus such arrogance on his part. Hopefully most Americans wake up! Some see to be in a trance!
Amen.
Sherry,
Well said! The other issue that gets ignored is that of character. Romney got a first class education (paid for by a rich father) and then took that to Wall Street to get even richer than he was. Obama also got a first class education (paid for by student loans that he had to repay). He also could have gone down to Wall Street and made the big bucks, but he chose to go back to Chicago and work for people who needed help. One of those two guys is worthy of admiration. Guess which one the GOP thinks that should be.
