The pro-Mitt Romney Super PAC Restore Our Future is going up with $3.7 million in ads across nine swing states -- Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Virginia, and New Hampshire.
It also bought $143,000 in the Greenville, S.C., market. That's really about North Carolina, given Greenville's proximity to the state.
Notably left out, however -- at least for now -- are Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
There's no word yet on which ad Restore will be running. The buy doesn't begin until Thursday. This one has been prominently featured on its website, but it could unveil another:

It should be obvious to every American that the SCOTUS made the wrong decision regarding SUPERPACS.
The problem is that people are uneducated about politics and will be influenced by what they are bombarded with in the media.The ruling allows huge amounts of money to be given to candidates by corporations and non-U.S. entities. I cringe when I think of the consequences that this ruling could have on our democracy.
The only thing we have going for us is that not every vote can be bought. A perfect example is what happened in the last gubernatorial election in CA. Meg Whitman spent an obscene amount of money in her run against Jerry Brown and lost.

bayllie, thanks for pointing out my error... but you'd have to admit 124 fundraisers in 2012 along with the several TV show apperances... all mostly on the taxpayer dime... is a bit shameful... at least it is to most. 20 fundraisers in April alone... wow!
The campaign is just beginning, so polls are pretty meaningless right now, because most people know about Obama, but most don't know much about Romney.
My personal election projection at this point shows Romney winning the popular vote by about 4%, but that is likely to increase in the future as Romney's message becomes known.

Maybe the right-wing isn't concerned about money in politics because they don't believe it exists, just like they don't believe women earn only 77 cents to a man's dollar?

Here's a link to the top 20 contributors to Obama and McCain - it shows that Goldman Sachs gave more than 4 times as much to Obama as to McCain, and overall, Obama took in over $18 Million, vs only $5.8 Million for McCain.
Microsoft gave Obama almost $1 million - probably in return for them having an EFFECTIVE TAX RATE of only 15.9%, while most corporations pay about 35%, and the big oil companies pay about 43%.

Don't ever make the mistake that this is 2008 all over again. Romney is not McCain and the Super PAC's are going to have a huge influence this time around. Liberals are still reeling from 2010 and that momentum is building... Obama will lose in a landslide because the economy sucks, unemployment will remain over 8%, gasoline prices will not drop and inflation is setting in... have you been to the grocery store lately? I realize the government doesn't include food and gas in their inflation index, but other goods and services prices are on the rise... definitely not declining. Not looking very good for team Obama... since the public usually views the economy as the number one issue for presidential elections.

Romney is toast in Ohio. Not only did he openly support Kaysick's attack on middle class he also agreed that Police Firefighters and all union members should not have the right to form a union. What other rights are the extreme right going to attack? GOP will suffer an immeasureable defeat in Ohio this November. Every single union household in the state will get several lists reminding them of what the GOP tried to do to Ohio's "working" middle class. These "non-working" elites are history!

Not one politician of either party is discussing getting rid of unions (but no one has explained why a government employee needs a union (as opposed to private companies) nor is anyone cutting wages nor driving anyone into bankruptcy. Unfortunately, my mom and sister are going to be victims as they are teachers who will most likely get a reduced pension because the state is bankrupt and wont have the money to pay them. In my small town alone the police and fireman have pension and retiree health care benefits that will allow them to retire at 50 after 30 years of service and get lifetime pensions and fully paid health care until death. The average annual pension for the police and fireman is approximately $75k a year and there is not prohibition on double dipping or finding employment elsewhere. dont give me this driving people into bankrutpcy crap as its the democratic politicians in this state who have the unholy alliance with the local government unions to provide them so called negotiated benefits. Its not a conservative mind, its called a fiscally responsible mind and its too bad you progressives dont understand those concepts.

2) Unions exist for public employees. Since they exist, the argument to eliminate them lies with those wanting to eliminate them.
3) What is it with you folks that impels you to play the victim card (my mom and sister are going to be victims).
4) Firemen and Policemen have traditionally been offered an earlier retirement age due to the nature of the profession. Since you have no empathy for the service of those professionals, you must love that we should mandate they serve in the line of fire until they are 67.
5) Unholy alliances are not between governments and unions, they are between governments and religions, ie, the Catholic Church insisting on exemptions that hold them above the law.

On this anniversary of the killing of Osama, Romney traveled to New York City to explain how he did it. He will appear with Rudy Giuliani for a private meeting on campaign strategy. This evening the two-to-six men will be joined by John Boehner for a "moving ceremony", where Giuliani will give his long anticipated 2004 Florida primary victory speech while Boehner sobs softly in the background.
The Romney campaign responded to an unknown source from the Obama campaign, who is reported to have said, "Romney has as much to do with 9/11 as he has to do with 7-Eleven". The campaign points out that Romney actually worked for the Southland Corporation (t/a 7-Eleven) where he invented the Slurpee. Asked about Romney's position there, campaign sources first asked, "Which one?" then quickly added that Romney was working as Guest Cookie Chef.
I'd like to hear exactly what Mitt's plans and thoughts are on anything but his wealth and hammering President Obama.
Sooner or later he's going to tell us what he's going to do about issues concerning all Americans. He can't keep up this ploy much longer - somebody's going to ask for details.

Before you say Clinton was the only president that had a balanced budget in recent history, I remind you that many libs, lately, have been saying the reason Obama has not put forward a budget is because it's Congress' job to balance the budget. If that's the case, then Clinton had nothing to do with the budget surplus just prior to the end of his presidency but congress did. Which is it?

Although Republicans are unanimous in their criticism of Obama's handling of the economy, they are also unanimous in their unwillingness to reveal what they would do differently. The reason is simple. They have no new ideas. They are simply going to repeat the policies of deregulation, kowtowing to big business, and tax cuts for the rich that tanked the economy in the first place.
