Subscribe to RSSLANCASTER, Penn. – Campaigning in Pennsylvania with one-week left before the state’s primary, Newt Gingrich acknowledged he has no “Plan B” and downplayed one of his top surrogate’s call for him to exit the presidential race.
Asked if he is thinking about what he will do if he does not get the nomination – what his “Plan B” would be – Gingrich brushed it off.
"I don't worry about that right now. I'm focused on the nomination,” Gingrich said following remarks at the Lancaster County GOP Dinner here. “I'm quite happy with Plan A, frankly."
Gingrich, who has been focusing much of the last month campaigning in Delaware (the primary is on Tuesday) and North Carolina (the primary on May 8), has spent little time in Pennsylvania. Gingrich would not say Delaware was a must win on April 24.
“It would be good to win there. I am for it. But I am also cheerful about continuing onward,” he said, noting he hoped to pick up delegates that day.
Gingrich plans to move ahead with his campaign despite increasing calls for him to drop out of the race – including from onetime supporter, Herman Cain.
Cain, the onetime presidential candidate who endorsed Gingrich in late January, took to the airwaves Monday morning on a radio show and referenced Romney as the presumptive GOP nominee.
"To Newt Gingrich I would say, 'Speaker Gingrich, with all due respect, let's get on with this, OK?'" Cain said in an interview on WMAL's Mornings “On The Mall.” "I even endorsed Newt Gingrich at one point because I thought he had a shot. Well, not now. He doesn't have a shot."
This switch by Cain does not phase Gingrich.
“That is Herman’s prerogative,” Gingrich said at The Dauphin County GOP Reception in Harrisburg, PA Tuesday afternoon. “I think anybody who pays attention to the national news media is going to repeat what the national news media is saying.”
Gingrich will hold two public events in Pennsylvanian Wednesday – including teaching a global politics class at Millersville University – before heading back to Delaware, where he will have two additional events.

You can sure bet his candidacy is just to be a thorn in the side of the GOP.
Since Romney could not obtain over 50% in many of the states so far, Gingrich has a shot at all of those "anti-Romney" votes.
The pluses, he gets to stick it to the GOP for his ousting, he gets to continue attacking the moderate candidate Romney, and, let's not forget the underlying reason for doing all of this, fill his coffer with money.
Newt lost before he started he is a self stuffed shirt that worships his creator.
Plan A is to replace Obama and get the country back on track! It's working pretty well... no need for a plan b as no other alternative is acceptable!

Gingrich has to finish the campaign and try to influence the convention. Otherwise it will be difficult to be an influence peddler - since he has no influence at the moment.
Gingrich entered the race with dollar signs in his eyes - all those future contracts to peddle influence. Instead he has killed his 'free enterprise' business. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

The Porcine Piece of Pusillanimous Pustulence, AKA the Georgia Pork Barrel AKA, Newt Gingrich, does, indeed have a Plan A and no need for a Plan B. Plan A is to sell as many of his BS videos and books promoting made up history as possible, promotional expenses, and transportation paid for by campaign contributions to the fake presidential run. It's exactly the same strategy that got him run out of the House, personal enrichment at others expense.
Running for President was Newt's B plan. Lobbying was and is his A plan. Even if Newt couldn't get the votes he still is a force to be reckoned with in lobby circles like K Street and the US Chamber of Commerce. How do y'all think AIG got away with all their bullsh1t? Newt was on their payroll and he used his influence in Washington for AIG. How much did they pay him for 'consultation' again?

Seems,the state Democratic Party forced the resignation of one high ranking official- secret payoff to a low level staffer who was being sexually harassed- the the governor is calling for the head of the state party to resign along with him.
Lots of turnover at Democratic party headquarters. Seems people were not happy in their work- what with the verbal abuse and harassment going on.
It's being reported in a lot of outlets. Don't miss the story entirely- you might not be taken seriously as a reporter in the future.

Gingrich is just on an extended book/video tour. One where he gets to charge all his expenses to a campaign that's already in debt while keeping all the revenues for himself. Pretty sweet racket he's got going there. You'd think Herman Cain would understand it since he was doing the same thing, even having his campaign buy lots of copies of his book at outrageous prices.
