ROMNEY: His message for Obama yesterday in an interview with ABC was “start packing.” By the early evening, the Obama campaign had sent out an email trying to raise money off it.
The New York Daily News asks, “[A]way from the microphones, TV cameras, rapid response press releases and Twittersphere, where do the candidates stand when it comes to supporting stay-at-home mothers with policy?” It notes that Romney appears tied to the Paul Ryan budget, but “while Ryan's budget is quite popular among fiscal conservatives on, it's not the sort of spending blueprint that excites U.S. moms struggling to balance a household budget amidst skyrocketing gas prices and ballooning grocery bills, say some analysts,” especially considering it “would slash funding to many social programs that help families and mothers -- particularly single mothers -- including Head Start, child care subsidies, Pell grants for college and a variety of health-care programs.”
Romney leads in the debut of the Gallup Daily Tracking poll for the general election (47-45%), and trails in CNN and Reuters/Ipsos (though he made up ground in Reuters/Ipsos from the last time the poll was conducted).
“Stepping closer to becoming the Republican Party’s standard bearer, Mitt Romney will address GOP state party chairmen Friday at a meeting of the Republican National Committee in Arizona,” the Washington Post writes.
SANTORUM: “Rick Santorum pointedly declined Monday night to endorse presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney, instead pointing out that he has not backed a candidate in the race and urging his supporters to vote their conscience,” the L.A. Times writes.

That interview, with Mittens and Annie Romney was disturbing on several levels.
Ann Romney cannot understand why anyone might be concerned about putting a DOG on the roof of the car, saying that the kennel was air tight, and Seamus "loved it". No such thing as an air tight kennel, dog would not be able to breathe. But the safety factor, for the poor dog and other motorists shows a disconnect from other living breathing creatures that is FRIGHTENING!
And a lack of judgment from her and Mittens that would keep me from voting for them, even if they were liberal.
The "start packing" comment was equally disturbing. These are two people who believe that they have the right to have what they want when they want it without earning it. Mittens is making no bones about hiding what his real views are. Reminds me of the roofer that shows up at your house and says "your roof needs repair". When you question him, he says "just trust me". And he gets up on your roof, pretends to do something, charges you a bunch of money and runs, but before leaving, steals you blind.
Mittens is that guy.
newdayDAWNING...RETURNED
So you were there and interviewed the dog after the experience was over?
More irrelevant drivel I see ...... maybe "mittens" will do like "obummer" (see I can play the cutesy little word games too) will simply fly his dog in a separate airplane when gets gets elected.. That is what "obummer" does when he goes on vacation, isn't it ?
The rest of your post makes me think you've had some writing courses, some "creative writing" courses .... because your imagination runs wild. Perhaps, Mitt Romney should not appear to be over-confident at his point in time. But then again, perhaps "obummer" should not have told Republicans they would have to "ride in the back of the bus". Now that comment was TRULY revealing.
Ah poor Jimmy: still smarting over that last thread?
Actually I have competitive eventing dogs. To transport a dog the way the Romney's did is illegal. My dogs travel with us harnessed into the car with seatbelts, the harnesses made to fit them.
This is what reasonable, caring owners do.
Rick and Jim are crazy. Pay no attention.
No kidding, Kim!
Does anyone here wish to vote for a candidate of either party who does not have a certainty of purpose and a confidence of ability to complete what they say?????
Agreed 100%. These people are so arrogant and out of touch that they can not come close to connecting with the average American. Keep talking Ann, you will put the nail in the coffin of your husbands campaign yet with your irrelevant and stupid comments.
Arrogance is telling the public "you'll have to pass the bill to see what's in it". Arrogance is a rookie President trying to tell the Supreme Court how to do their job. Arrogance is a sitting U.S. President telling members of the Republican party they will have to "ride in the back of the bus". Arrogance is approving foolish government loans to Solyndra when that company had aleady received a "going-concern" letter from their CPA's. Arrogance is the ongoing foot-dragging and cover up of the "Fast and Furious" program. Arrogance is GSA officers taking the fifth amendment to cover their a$$ !
That Gallop Poll must oversample men, millionaires, and dog haters.
There is a pretty wide spread between CNN and Gallup, with the average falling decidedly in President Obama's favor. The margin will doubtlessly widen as the election progresses and people see how disconnected Etch-A-Sketch is with the American people. One thing the polls don't show is the amount of motivation voters feel toward getting out and voting; I sincerely doubt Mitt "Reset Button" Romney will inspire many people to get off their duffs and vote. As a result, President Obama will walk away with the election.

So you don't think that once the primaries are over and Romney is the official candidate that those opposed to Barack Obama will come together to support the republican candidate. Check your link and see how Obama's approval rating is going.
No, Ricky, I don't. And as long as President Obama's approval rating remains better than his feckless Republican challenger, he will win the election. Read 'em and weep, Ricky.
When you are used to buying anything and everything you want, it is only natural to think that you can buy the presidency as well. This country does not need a leader who is clueless about the majority of people he is elected to represent. They are no more able to understand my life than I am theirs. We need leaders who are capable and willing to act for the greater good, not just their rich friends. The Romneys can't do that, they are all about privilege.
And just who is buying the White House for Obama????? As he is obviously just part of the 99%, he must have generous donors and backers who are part of the 1%....and if they buy the toys for him, don't they have the right to tell him how to play as well?????
Funny... Obozo is trying to paint Romney as priveleged and out of touch... while he's rubbing elbows with the likes of George Soros, Warren Buffet and all those Hollywood liberal elitists. His progressive tax-and-squander big gov't policies have failed miserably, and he can't run on his abyssmal record. So all he's got left in his "community organizer" bag of tricks is hate and class envy. It is time for the First Golfer to pack. But hey, they'll gladly take him as the mayor of Detroit...
Fedup- I dont know what it will take for your side to at least let the daylight into your mindset. All politicians pander to the wealthy. It is what all tax loopholes are about. Get it- both sides equally guilty.
Romney is a member of the 1% that he panders to- that is the difference and what part of reality does not enter into your ideological mindset?
Looks like a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Out of the top 10 wealthiest congressman, 7 of them are democrats and President and Ms. Obama are not exactly poor.
The Capital Gains Tax was lowered in an attempt to encourage investment in venture capital for the entrepreneur and discourage him from investing in tax free bonds (which have a smaller return on investment) or hiding it in a shelter somewhere.
With all of Obama's "fair share" rhetoric and moves to raise effective rates it is not that much of a stretch to see why investment is dropping.
Maybe if the present administration would stop trying to scare the crap out of business we could get this recession behind us.
Jim: Arrogance is an uppity black man ,. just say it.
Arrogance is an ignorant blowhard that calls himself a liberal and thinks that makes him intelligent.
RICK - Really! You calling someone an ignorant blowhard and questioning their intelligence.
Kimmy
What have you got to add to the conversation? Nothing, as usual or do you want to take a shot at it?
By the way Ricky: I generally don't read your posts, since there is nothing erudite contained in them. But I did see the reply you made to my post as to why Mittens and Annie are so unsuited to the White House.
So, here is your response: It was Annie who made the statement that Seamus LOVED riding on that rooftop. I would suggest that your question to me is better directed to her.
Now...do continue on with your trolling.
Ricky - Just because I don't go into long, stupid rants like you doesn't mean I don't add to the conversation - you just don't like what I say. As I told you before - many, many times - I don't agree with you. You speak in absolutes and I know you will find this really hard to believe but you are not as smart as you think you are. The ability to cut and paste does not represent a superior brain. GASBAG!
Kimmy
It is not my fault you are ignorant. but you could amount to something if you just applied yourself.
Ricky - Oh, never mind.
Kimmy
Nope, I am not calling someone an ignorant blowhard. I am calling you an ignorant blowhard
start packing .... i love it !! you all think romney is the first wealthy politician to run for president ? you are falling for obamas devisive rhetoric which he is counting on !!!! if obama is doing such a fantastic job why isnt he way ahead in polling numbers ??? guess what ? the american public has seen his bs for three plus years and are finally realizing something stinks!!! i cant wait for nov may the best man win !!!!
