In the video, the man gives Holder's name and address (which is bleeped out). The poll worker asks the man to sign the voter sheet, but the man says he has left his ID in the car. "You don’t need it," the poll worker says. "It’s all right. As long as you’re in here, you’re on our list, and that’s who you say you are, you’re okay."
The man declines to sign, says he's going to get his ID, and leaves.
O'Keefe's group, Project Veritas, offers the video to rebut Attorney General Eric Holder's position that there's little evidence of in-person voter fraud to justify changing state laws to require government issued photo IDs at the polls. The video includes excerpts from a recent NBC News interview with Holder on the subject.
In response, a Justice Department official says "about the only time we get concrete evidence of voter fraud is when someone pulls a stunt like this."
By the way, a federal official says the man in the video did not commit voter fraud, because he never signed the voter sheet and -- therefore -- never received or cast a fraudulently obtained ballot.

That's the logic and reasoning of some in the Teapublican party. One governor said that instead of people actually voting for their Representative to the House and Senate, a committee should be formed to select them. Another founder of one of those think tanks said that they didn't WANT everyone to vote, that everyone shouldn't have the right to vote, only certain people should be allowed to. Michigan's governor has selected ONE person to govern that county or city. The peoples lawfully elected school board, mayor, city council members, etc. have absolutely NO power, it's all in the hands of this so called Emergency Manager. This is the future if Teapublicans gain any more control ANY PLACE in America.
People who have real concern about voter fraud should just google it. This "problem" just doesn't exist. Today 5 million people won't be able to vote because of these new laws. Do research and then truthfully ask yourself if these new laws are really necessary. Then ask yourself, why these laws and why NOW?

After two days of testimony and an hour of deliberation, a Tunica County jury returned a guilty verdict in the case against community activist Lessadolla Sowers.
Sowers was convicted of 10 counts of voter fraud and was sentenced to five years for each count. Circuit Court Judge Charles Webster ordered Sowers to serve her terms concurrently with no possibility of parole.

The investigation began in February 2009 when Azada admitted to a USCIS officer during an interview for an immigration benefit that she had voted in an election. It is illegal for foreign nationals to vote in national or state elections in the United States.
A subsequent investigation revealed that Azada allegedly voted nine times in primary, general and consolidated elections between 2003 and 2009. According to the arrest warrant, Azada allegedly falsely claimed to be a U.S. citizen on two Illinois Voter Registration applications.

You mention 5 or 6 people committing 50? cases of fraud and that makes it alright to deny millions of eligible voters their right to vote? You have to have read the stats, voter fraud percentages are .000004 at most. Out of hundreds of millions votes cast that percentage is infinitesimal. Taking the right to vote from 5 million people based on that percentage is not justifiable even using your logic and sources. This is just being used to suppress the vote...votes that would probably be for Democrats. There is no other reason to believe otherwise PERIOD.

Again, how does requiring a positive ID disenfranchise 5 million people? I am all for protecting the ability of people to vote, but I fail to see how Voter ID laws would prevent people who are legally allowed to vote from voting. It seems to me that the same people who are dead set on the government knowing everything about everybody are the same ones who refuse to validate a vote.
One case of fraud would be one too many IF it didn't mean disenfranchising 5 million. Voter integrity is very important, that's why I find these NEW regulations distasteful at THIS particular time. It's never been a issue before now. How can some states accept gun registration, but not college student IDs? All I'm asking is why NOW? I've asked myself that question, have you?

If you think about it a college ID does not guarantee that the holder is a legal resident of the state. A Gun registration does guarantee that the holder is a state resident since you must be a state resident to buy a gun in that state.
My grandmother would have been one of those disenfranchised. She died at 101 and born in the south. When she was born, they didn't give out birth certificates, they were just listed as female infant in the census. She voted her entire life, but wouldn't have been able to this year. There are 5 million others like her. People who have voted their entire life, but will be unable to this election.

How did she apply for her SS? You need a Photo ID to prove who you are. Did you go to the SS office with her and sign an affidavit stating that she was who she said she was? Did you have to prove who you were?

Again how will anyone be disenfranchised? It takes an effort for someone who doesn't have an ID to apply for Welfare,SS and Medicare/Medicaid. Just as it would for a State ID issued at the DMV.

He's very careful not to identify himself as Holder; had he done that, he would have been arrested by now. The clip is brief. At least watch it before alleging a felony.
This is just another set up scam by James O'Keefe. What are the odds that there just happens to be someone there to video record this attempted voter fraud? More than likely, the poll worker was also in on this scam.

So, if there is a system to check voter signatures against a 'known good copy' of the signature, is that not voter ID in-and-of itself? If not, why?
If so, then the voting rules themselves create the environment for voter fraud to even exist. An Amendment to the Constitution is necessary to alleviate all issues of voter fraud by requiring a government issued ID be shown to officials when casting a vote. Yes; the IDs can be issued free of charge to anyone unable to afford one. The ID only guarantees you a place in line to cast your vote. You can neither drive a car nor fly a plane with it (nor any other thing you can think of with your limited brain capacity).
The original issue and subsequent outlawing of poll taxes was to alleviate the issue of requiring poor people to 'pay to vote'. Please pardon my candor, but we do not live in that society any longer. The fact that Republican and Democratic camps continue to argue over an outdated Amendment just highlights the fact that neither have any idea how to run a country, with or without God.
