Sen. Grassley calls the president 'stupid'

Iowa's senior senator and prolific Tweeter, Republican Chuck Grassley, sent a harshly worded message Saturday that intentionally slighted the president.

Aides say Grassley personally Tweeted: "Constituents askd why i am not outraged at PresO attack on supreme court independence. Bcause Am ppl r not stupid as this x prof of con law."

While Grassley's Twitter account had been previously hacked, this time the use of the word "stupid" was his own. Aides say, "The Tweet is Sen. Grassley's. He is saying that it doesn't speak well of any constitutional law professor to not understand Marbury v Madison. The people understand the independence of the judiciary. So he thinks most Americans are smarter on the Constitution."

In a second Tweet, Grassley wrote,"Possibility of peace and freedom for Syria gets more remote as PresO plays along w the farce of Kofi Annans negotiatios (sic) there Barack wakeup."

Duh....

Don't know Grassley from grass, but it seems to me that incompetence and stupidity are color blind. My take is the O picked his VP to make himself look like a genius. Smart move, but most of my socks have a higher IQ than BiteMe, so only the Sheeple are gonna follow that "logic".

DOC: Yea, too bad Obama didn't pick a winner like draft dodging Dick Cheney. You know, the guy who said "Deficits don't matter" and that we were just sure to find WMD's in Iraq cause it was a "slam dunk". Now that's what I call smarts.

George W. Bush delivered a long formal speech criticizing the judicial branch of government for unwarranted activism. President Obama made a few comments for exactly the same issue. That was enough to flip the elephant, just as it did when Republican proposals were combined into the Affordable Health Care Act.

The entire Republican Party has been "for it, before they were against it" on countless issues. The reason is partisan, not American. They want to rule it or ruin it when it comes to government. The effect would be the same either way.

true, but i dont think bush lied like obama did in his dissention speech did he? obama keep saying "unprecedented this, unprecedented that" as far as overturning all or part of a law. nevermind that there are over 150 rulings by the scotus that have upheld or not the constitutionality of laws in the past. i think he's being called out for the lie, not his dissenting view. but your smarter than me so i guess i defer. #backflip

Still hung up on the "community organizer" deal I see.

Tell me what is not honorable about graduating from the most prestigious law school in the nation and instead of joining a high powered law firm to make the big bucks, which any Republican would certainly do, Obama volunteers to work in the inner city to give something back to the community. In your eyes this is something to be ashamed of??? I do realizing that with the Right it's ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY but some people are able to think beyond dollars, a philosophy incomprehensible to you.

        Okay dumbas*...lets call a spade a spade...

Grassley was among 20 co-sponsors of a 1993 Senate bill that would have mandated health insurance for Americans. In 2009 and 2010, however, when President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party proposed a health reform bill featuring mandated health insurance, Grassley vocally opposed the health insurance mandate, saying that it was a deal breaker

Who is the 'spade' now ya hypocritical neanderthal?
        What a maroon.

I don't think the right really thinks Obama is stupid; they are just terrified of the changing face of the country. The party of "male, pale and stale" feels the country slipping from their control and they are desperate to keep it. It's sad to see people so driven by fear.

As I always told my children, you don't have to like a person but some positions require respect. With my children I was talking about teachers but it equally applies here. If you cannot respect the position, then it is time for you to leave.

Anybody, and i mean ANYBODY, that is seriously ignorant enough to pull the race card out for Obama, has voided their argument. The minute number of people that actually do disrespect Obama because he is black, have also voided their argument. The disapproval of Obama stems from the lack of support he has shown for America as a nation and as a society of people. He has done nothing to reunite the people of this nation, as we can all see from the brutal comments on these articles. It also stems from his support for enforcing a military state here in America, and supporting bills that censor internet usage for the masses, regardless of the reason. The top issue at the moment that the disappoval stems from is his support for a bill that requires the purchase of a product in direct response to your own existence. There is a reason why there is a high volume of uninsured Americans, and its the result of them not being able to afford it, and no matter how "affordable' you try to make the insurance policies, the uninsured still wont be able to afford it because the economy is collapsing. Dont fix the effect of the cause, fix the cause itself and the effect will change on its own.

Obama is not stupid. He is arrogant. He, Pelosi and Reid exist because of the stupidity of their supporters that can't see through their lies. The Progressives have always been arrogant, that they feel they are more intelligent than the rest of the populace, and want you to follow them like sheep. Thats why Obamacare was written behind closed doors by this cabal, when the Dems and Repubs working working on a compromise bi-partisan bill. And then they gave them 3 days to review 2,700 pages before the vote. That alone is why I want this bill killed. That is not Democracy oh el Presidente', that you stated in your threat to the court. That is dictatorship to be rubberstamped.

When a government creates a health care plan that protects the profits for insurance companies over the well being of its citizens, do any of you actually believe you are going to get health care services and treatments at the expense of that profit?

After all. the health care crises in this country was created by those same insurance companies that created it so they could protect their profits.

Health care is defined as a Humanitarian need of people, not a profit for an insurance company.

If you don't believe me or don't accept this definition of health care, then the next time you need medical services or treatments, might I suggest you drive to your insurance company's local office for that medical treatment or service.

The Senators comment pretty well confirms that it is in fact Senator Grassley who is a little short on the IQ meter. I suspect the Senator feels that insulting the President will somehow avoid the fact that the President will carry Iowa thus embarrassing Grassley because he cannot deliver his state to the Republican Candidate. I sure that Grassley doesn't care what I think, but maybe he should care what his home state citizens think, the same ones who voted for the President in the last election.
