First Read Minute: Santorum's last stand?

NBC's Mark Murray and Domenico Montanaro discuss how Tuesday's GOP primary in Wisconsin is shaping up to be Rick Santorum's last chance, a more optimistic White House about the health-care law, and Newt Gingrich's dwindling campaign.

But, but.. Icky Ricky is the Pope's right hand man and the only real conservative. Isn't Newt the only one who can win debates with President Obama? I don't understand why the Repubs would want to shoot themselves in the foot.

Rubio is a Fake. He lied about being a Cuban exile. Who can trust him?

I trust President Obama's leadership.

Bob Dole; anyone? Ha Ha

President Obama, if his mouth is open, a lie is about to be told! If you trust him, you are a fool.

Bev do you really have a preference for which Republican beats bammy in Nov. I'm not sure I do anymore. I do know that bammy is the best thing to happen for Republicans since Ronald Reagan and I want to thank you, fiesty and the other two that makes first read what it is.

Hey Bev,

Icky Ricky is the Pope's right hand man and the only real conservative.

You keep talking abnout the Catholic Church - have a problem with Catholics?

Another bigoted Bevism:

Beverly in Chicago

Didn't you know The Catholic Church invented nuns and alter boys for the express purpose of raping them?

A little known fact about the Catholic Church is that it's written down in the Vatican that the Catholic Church intends to take over the US and burn all non-Catholics at the stake before Sharia Law comes to America. :)

What are you Bev, another ranting Black Muslim on a personal crusade?

Santorum is doomed, Newt lost his Sugar Daddy and Ron Paul has dropped off the face of the Earth.

It's gonna be Mitt. Can't wait to see the "Romney's not Conservative enough" folks spin themselves silly.

    Hey, guys? Hot political news-

Obama's budget just went down in flames in the House. 414 to 0.

Makes last year's 97-0 defeat in the Senate look like a trend.

How does any president submit two budgets in a row that get not one vote- not one- even from those in his own party?

I'm pretty sure it is historic- unprecedented, even.

    No Joe,

Once again fooled because all you did was read the headlines and didn’t do any “critical thinking”.

What was voted on was not the President’s budget but an outline of his budget with only numbers, not the policies he would use to achieve them.

"That is just like every other obstructive tacit the repubs do. Country first my azz"

So, Bev, the Republicans have a 414 to zero advantage in the House?

WOW, that 2010 landslide really was big!

    Uh, Dennis?

    Nice spin.

Budgets are ABOUT numbers. As in, how much money is being spent for certain items, and how much money is coming in to cover those expenses.

    Good lord.

I know this is hard for you, but Obama just went down in flames AGAIN. Not one person from his party voted to support his budget AGAIN.

Two years in a row, Dennis.

You can try to spin it, but the fact remains- he has no concept of how to craft a budget ANYBODY supports.

Not even democrats are crazy enough to vote for his budgets.

The cult will have to come up with better spin than you did- but it will still fail, because of the facts.

    414 to 0.

    No Joe,

From the article “Democrats said Republicans had forced avote on a version of Obama's budget that contained only its numbers, not the policies he would use to achieve them.”

Once again No Joe, it was NOT the full budget as presented by our President thus the vote is worthless.

All the ultra right wing hacks have outted themselves today by spouting off about the budget vote numbers. Makes you wonder are they just really stupid or have no clue what political gamesmanship is. They should know what political trickery is, afterall that's all the GOP has mustered for the last 3 years. Have the GOP put up ANYTHING of substance in that time period?

Something tells me we haven't heard the last from Santorum. He will spend the next 4 years fund-raising (in between stints on Fox and the inevitable book he will write, plus his lobbying) and try to corner the conservative vote in 2016.

You do know that anyone that is continually proven wrong loses any and all credibility?
