Bet you thought you would read a lame joke by Feisty against Republicans in this slot.

However, the Supreme Court has just ruled 9-0 that FeistyCare is unfunny, and unconstitutional.

Sorry...she will be replaced by a free market supporting jokester, with fresh material.

Pleae ask the GOP/Koch-ers if they think it is OK for folks to go away and die - folks who cannot now afford health care.

In 2014, when the ACA kicks in fully, 33 million folks who have never had health care before, would now be eligible to buy it under Exchanges. Those who cannot afford will receive assistance to pay. Via early preventive care, and getting millions of people to stop using the Emergency room for check-ups - health care costs and the deficit will continue to go down. This will bring everyone's costs down.

By contrast, Paul Ryan's Budget takes health insurance away from over 50 million Americans - to pay for a $3 trillion tax cut for the top 1%.

Yeah, that sure is fun, paying money into free jokester market insurance plans that funnel the money into their pockets while not paying claims. Oh, and not to mention those jokester freeloaders that that want to opt out of Obamacare while the rest of us pick up the tab for their healthcare. Such a wonderful system. Why on earth would we need anything like Obamacare?

Health care issues:

1) Aside from Thomas and prior scandal that impeaches his character; he should be recused due to his anti-Obamacare Teabagger wife. As for the rest of the justices…

When the SCOTUS ruled on Bush v Gore, I still believed in the court's neutrality and dedication to ruling based on the law. Later, we learned that in fact Gore had won the popular vote including Florida. And even that small victory was suspicious due to Jeb Bush being the governor of Florida at that time. Come on, can any conservative really believe this was not fishy? Go back and look at footage of Dubya being sworn in -- you can see it in his face -- the wonderment of actually becoming POTUS when he knew he didn't really win it with merit.

After seeing the right-wing Citizen's United ruling, followed by Alito's inappropriate partisan behavior during the State of the Union speech, there was no more doubt in my mind that politics was being played by the SCOTUS and that this branch could no longer be trusted for having integrity.

2) The right-wing is clueless what socialized medicine is, case in point:

"People were saying that the health care law was socialism. However, if you vote against an individual mandate, you're essentially saying that you the individual are not responsible for your health and instead it should be left up to the state. They [Democratic leaders] never effectively made that point, that the mandate empowered the individual more than the state. It really hurt us," he said.

3) The problem of right-wing hypocrisy that we see repeatedly –

Wanting to mandate unnecessary medical procedures against a person's will, from drug tests to ultrasounds, and making the citizen victim pay for that unnecessary procedure on top of it all. And then they have the audacity to b!tch about the ACA mandate (and against their own best interests of having improved access to affordable health care).

Also, the silliness of the right-wing regarding regulation of the insurance industry, which is way past due for regulation in view of the many abuses. Even from the perspective of capitalism, is there anyone who would argue against anti-trust regulations to prevent monopoly? Even the most far-right Libertarian understands the need for competition to bring down costs. Where are these conservatives, and discussion thereof?

But then these same conservatives don't get the need for regulation of Wall Street either, and the sad fact that there is still no prevention of "too big to fail" in place. Both the insurance and financial industries are Private Sector Gone Wild movies we've already seen, and we'll see it again if unchecked -- It's only a matter of time. And when it happens, I'm not going to say I told you so, I'm going to kick some conservative arse.

Prevent more right-wing appointments to the SCOTUS -- Obama/Biden - 2012!

Dick Morris:

Outside the Beltway, polling indicates a massacre of Senate Democrats is in the offing in the 2012 elections. Currently, Rasmussen’s polls have Republicans leading Democrats for eight Senate seats now held by Democrats. Nelson is 6 points behind Mack in Florida, McCaskill is 10 behind Steelman in Missouri, Tester is 3 behind Rehberg in Montana, Brown is 4 behind Mandel in Ohio. And, for open seats, Allen is 3 up on Kaine in Virginia, Bruning is 20 ahead of Kerry in Nebraska, Thompson is 15 ahead in Wisconsin, and either Berg or Sand will undoubtedly win in North Dakota. Additionally, the races in New Mexico and Michigan show the Republican less than 4 behind. (The GOP might lose Massachusetts and Maine, but a massive wipeout of Democrats is coming.)

Typical lib, don't get your way so you petulantly cut off your "caring for the poor and disadvantaged" nose to spite your progressive face.

You guys are something else.

@ Bob

I am not a lib. The EMTALA in 1986 has caused us taxpayers to pay for ER visits.

I just think people should have to pay for their own healthcare. Not me the taxpayer.

Do you like paying for other peoples health care, BOB?

I don't "like" paying extra for clothes because some steal and that cost is passed to everyone.

Life ain't fair ... but, I'm a grown up and deal with it.

A federal technocrat making law that requires me to pay for your bc is asinine ... it isn't even a "health" issue, it is unconstitutional ....

What's your point? Are you trying to make a point about cutting your nose off to spite your face?

Where is their replacement plan?

Will it be like Romneycare?

You know, for all the carping the right does about the ACA, what do they offer to replace it? To solve the high cost of health care? Since the current plan they are complaining about is one they supported a few years ago (and this one is also modeled on the same plan their probable nominee came up with) I would really like to hear what they would suggest. Just a little note to folks, if we don't do something quickly about the high costs, a lot of small, not-for-profit rural hospitals will have to close their doors. That will even limit further the chance for health care for many in smaller communities.

Phine - they offer nothing. That is the point. They whine, carp, piss and moan without any solutions. They prefer the current system of bankruptcy and/or death over insurance. I say let them opt out, change the rules to allow healthcare providers to deny treatment without the ability to pay on demand, and then let them and their dependents live life with disfigurements or die off in droves. That will get rid of the whiny piss-ants.

Too bad Mr. Vaginal probe if you think being first makes you right about anything. You probably think that people vote for Fiesty because she is first, not because she says what the rest of us agree with.

Why would I trust the supreme court to do the right thing for the people of this country when they are the ones who handed down citizens united and declared bush president by not allowing a recount.

The republicans view of democracy is suppressing the vote and in the case of Florida the bush family blocked counting the votes and wishes of America. The only time in our history that the supreme court chose our president and not the voters.

VOTE FOR WOMEN'S FREEDOM....

I gather by your statement that you voted for Hillary in '08? No? Well, then McCain/Palin? No?

Huh? That doesn't make sense. You scream about womens rights and yet you had the opportunity to place one in the White House or to put one within inches of the Oval Office and you balked at both?

WTF to that????

P.S. - Why is the Statue of Liberty red in color on your avatar? Was that a coincidence or on purpose?

All legit questions. Love Mike

Americans First---I really never thought there would be a day in my lifetime when I didn't believe that the Supreme Court would do the right thing. But after watching how political it has become, I simply don't trust the Justices any longer. That is really sad to me.

I agree it is sad. Our government feels so controlled by the rich especially by the rich right trying to push their beliefs on the rest of us. Republicans use the social issues to fool the voters into supporting tax cuts for the rich.

Permanent tax cuts for the rich is their goal.

What if the republicans did get control of our nation. Then they passed the person-hood amendment in congress and the republican president will sign. So birth control and abortions are now illegal. Of course the Rand budget is in force.

Okay, it will start looking good about now.

The countries economy is spiraling down due to the austerity for the people and tax cuts for the rich. The government has cut the budgets for food stamps, welfare, medicare, social security, medicaid, education, unemployment and can't forget veterans care. Then all these babies are being born that people can't afford to feed.

Unions are dead and the no longer minimum wage is now so low it is not enough to feed you much less a family.

The deficit is climbing with all the wars the republicans want to start. I sure by then joining the armies for the poor will start looking pretty good with three meals a day.

Deficits means only one thing to republicans spending cuts and more tax cuts for the rich.

Can't forget all the police will be gone due to all the spending cuts and people like zimmerman will be guarding your neighborhood.

But what we will have will be the person-hood police ready to convict a woman for a miscarriage. I see large prisons for those caught stealing food and convicted mothers.

Just like when the republicans are demeaning women for speaking up for their rights, they now have to demean dead children to defend their gun laws.

Boy you republicans when you dream you dream big.

Not buying one word, sorry.

VOTE.....FOR HUMAN RIGHTS.....OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
