WASHINGTON -- Rick Santorum used the start of oral arguments over President Obama's health-care law on Monday as an opportunity to pounce on his top rival for the Republican presidential nomination.
Standing outside the Supreme Court here, Santorum quickly pivoted from his opposition to the law being discussed in the stately courthouse behind him to an aggressive contrast with Mitt Romney. The former Pennsylvania senator repeated one of his often-used critiques of Romney, calling him "uniquely disqualified" to face off against Obama because of the similarities between the law being debated today and one that Romney signed as governor of Massachusetts.
"There's one candidate who is uniquely disqualified to make the case,” Santorum said. “It's the reason I'm here, and he's not -- the reason that I talk about ‘ObamaCare’ and its impact on the economy and fundamental freedoms and Mitt Romney doesn't. It's because he can't, because he supported government-run health care as governor of Massachusetts."
Santorum used the backdrop of the Supreme Court's west entrance, where a security detail steered him through a crush of reporters hastily gathered for the press conference. Advocates of the health law - who vastly outnumbered opponents outside the courthouse during the opening day of arguments – chanted, “Health care is a right!" at points during Santorum's address.
The setting was fitting for Santorum's frequently touted message. On the campaign trail, he often calls the 2010 health-care law "the most important issue of the day." Repealing the law has been a top priority for Republican voters this primary, and today, Santorum called himself the only person able to do it.
"There's only one candidate that has a chance of winning the Republican nomination who can make this the central issue, that will be a winning issue for us to win the presidency back, and that's Rick Santorum,” Santorum said. “And unfortunately the worst person to make that case is Mitt Romney.”
The fiery rhetoric Santorum has used against his top rival has, at times, caused controversy on the stump. The most recent case happened on Sunday in Franksville, Wisc., when the GOP hopeful called Romney "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama."
Pressed by reporters about the comments after the event, Santorum lashed out, accusing the media of "distorting" his words and calling questions about his remarks "bull----."
Asked about it today, Santorum did not apologize for the profanity.
"I don't regret taking on a New York Times reporter who was out of line," he said. The campaign is now using the confrontation as a fundraising appeal.
Santorum took a break from campaigning in Wisconsin to visit the nation's capitol, even though he is not on the ballot here for the April 3 primary. His efforts in the coming days will largely be in the Badger State, where he is struggling to keep pace with Romney.
Romney and the pro-Romney Super PAC Restore Our Future are outspending Santorum and allies nearly 10-to-1. Red, White, and Blue Fund today placed a $305,000 ad buy, but that brings the totals to $3 million for Romney to $340,000 for Santorum.
Santorum has remained dismissive of delegate math that has him far behind Romney. In response to a question about the electoral hurdles he faces, Santorum mocked top Romney surrogate John Sununu.
"I heard Governor Sununu say today that all of the significant people have said that Rick Santorum should get out of the race,” Santorum said. “Well, I guess we'll have to leave it to the insignificant voters of America in the remaining primaries to step forward and challenge the significant people who are speaking here in Washington, D.C.”
*** UPDATE *** Romney campaign spokesman Ryan Williams sends along this response:
"Senator Santorum is becoming increasingly shrill as his campaign hopes fade. It's important that all Republicans keep their focus on President Obama because if we want to repeal Obamacare we need to defeat him first. Obamacare is bad policy and bad law and when Mitt Romney is president he will get rid of it."

RomneyCare has driven little Ricky to the brink of sanity! lol
Saint Ricky isn't so squeaky clean after all...
How very Christian of him to use that kind of language. ;o)
Awwww, a Conservative says an "adult word" and Feisty DumbFux gets her jock strap in a bunch but Obummer tells Russia to hang tight on da nukes and we're all okie dokie wit it. (misspelling for ebonic effect)
Lol.....tools.....let the Fake Outrage continue!....lmao
I have never heard of profanity being used in a public speech on the campaign trail. Is Tantorum the guy you want to be in charge of all of the nukes? Thank God someone of his ilk was not in the White House in 1962.
"This is a big effing deal".......who said that? Biden? At a podium to Obummer when ClunkerCare was railroaded through the American public?
Big effing deal! Pull up the panties and get real!!...lol
Quoted from NBC:
....And that was as reported by NBC NEWS!!
Lemme get this straight......a guy says bullsh*t and you start quivering and question his "nuke readiness" but another one plays politics with another country and you lay on the tracks for him????
LMAO....wow.....what it must be going through life like that.....man up
Okay Mike, you have me on the Biden issue, but that wasn't out of anger. Santorum is out of control. that is the point. Romney has a nasty temper too. I can't wait to see what he is like once he starts allowing interviews on networks other than fox. He can barely keep his composure on the conservative friendly network.
I certainly hope you're not trying to tell all of us that you have the inside track on the emotional stability of any of the candidates......Obama included.
You don't know and neither do I.......for that matter, neither does anyone elese on this board.
To claim so would indicate a level of BS rarely seen here
Hi Feisty!
You are absolutely right when you said: How very Christian of him to use that kind of language. ;o)
Too many people who claim to be good Christians go to church on a regular basis and preach to others about the way others should live their lives are some of the worst offenders of what they preach.
Hi nomoresameo,
By no means am I above the fray when it comes to swearing - the difference is, I'm not a bible banger forcing their beliefs on others...
By no means am I above the fray when it comes to swearing - the difference is, I'm not a bible banger forcing their beliefs on others...
Exactly!
by the way, if you'd like, feel free to call me by my given name Brian at any time. Much shorter than spelling out my screen name. I'll continue to call you Feisty if you don't mind.
Brian,
It's a deal! ;o)
PS: I ♥ the new avatar! Standford... eh?

We all have our crosses to bear......................
Went to three other schools before finishing up there.
Poor michael...I guess it was a while ago..too long for you to remember. Your teabagger klan had a major tizzy fit when Biden made the comment you mentioned. Funny - it's HUGE news when Biden did it, but it's not news at all when the deeply religious holier-than-thou Ricky-poo does it.
Interesting, isn't it, michael. You attempt to accuse others of hypocrisy in your silly little post and end up exposing your own hypocrisy. Having your head up your bum makes you run in circles, michael...and if you were a woman, you'd be spending a lot of time walking around with your skirt tucked into your pantyhose.
Well Miss F, I guess if YOU can't spell it correctly then you couldn't get in. I believe it is without the "D".
Reb.................
I have never, nor will I ever criticise Feisty about her intelligence, thoughts or a very simple 'typo'. Perhaps you could show the same courtesy to her. Have you never misspelled a word? It happens to everyone.
Let's move on.
Thanks Brian!
Ol' Reb sure got me on that one... *ouch*
How very clever of her...
Living in the land of perfect must get tiring after awhile!
Yes it does dear but you already know that don't you? Oh and Brian I guess it really may have been "Standford" as a simple spell check would have told you the word is "criticize" without the "s".
the word is "criticize" without the "s".................................
Again, it can happen to anyone. Many of us don't actually rely on 'spell check'. But there really is no need as long as we have you here...........lol
..."yes it does dear but you already know that don't you"....
Proof that anyone can click on a spell check button...but it shore duz take sumwun speshul to get the okee dokee gold star in 3rd grade grammar. Shoot for the stars, reb. Grammar always trumps typos when attempting to appear intelligent.
I'm guessing there's a little bit of deflection and a whole lot of penis envy going on in reb's little world. Perhaps if reb posted relevant comments regarding Santorum, these embarrassing personal sort-comings wouldn't be displayed so publicly.
Poor little Reb - doubles down on stuck on stupid! lol
...but she shore is purdy...
Santorum should just go home.
Whoops. The minute the media starts describing a candidate as "defiant", the skids are greased and they're on the way down the chute.
So True! Just go home, Frothy. No one cares about your lunatic ramblings anymore!
Shockedanddisgusted
I am truly Shockedanddisgusted that you should be so Shockedanddisgusted over my comments. I am also Shockedanddisgusted over the stupid response you provided. There was not a thing wrong with my grammar.
Miss F, no doubling down here - you and your minions really are stupid.
FYI, I am a male and not a female so no penis envy here. Perhaps Shockedanddisgusted has gotten confused in his defense of the indefensible..
Lisa,
Good idea. In fact, maybe he was on his way home to Louden County, Virignia to do a load of wash. He just stopped by the steps of the Supreme Court for a photo opt and a new sound bite. It was free, and Richy has a cash flow problem.
grr ftt ftt...A little bit of a hissy, there, reb? What is it about the new Republican party that makes such spoiled little girls out of grown men?
"Defense of the indefensible"??? Really, reb? Is that why you have failed to mention Rick Santorum in any of your posts? In your attempt to sound smart, you neglected to figure out what the topic of the conversation is. You are either not smart or you are attempting to deflect by implying that those with whom you disagree are stupid. My guess is that you are deflecting and humiliating...and just not smart enough to do it without being terribly obvious.
I actually wasn't that shocked or disgusted with your posts. I find it entertaining when someone posts nothing more than spelling corrections and insults. If penis envy doesn't apply (and I think the jury is still out on that one) than it's just a sad little story of over-compensation.
How 'bout that Rick Santorum?.....speaking of sad little stories of over-compensation...
Shockedanddisgusted
Listen up here, not everything has to be about politics all the time. I was trying to give both Miss F and her new pal Brian some lessons on how to communicate properly so they don't continue to look like fools when they post comments with obvious misspellings. I was not neglecting the topic of your conversation, it just wasn't what I wanted to comment on.
Rick Santorum is not going to get the Republican nomination and we all know that. That fact that he called out a NY Times reporter for being an idiot shouldn't be a surprise to anybody. Somebody had to do it and it might as well be him I guess.
As for your continued fixation with penis envy and the use of the Saul Alinsky's “Rules For Radicals" "deflection" argument, I would suggest you get some help. That is more of a problem than Rick's fighting back.
For those of you who think "bible thumpers" are trying to cram their beliefs down other's throats, perhaps you need a civics lesson. The President can't cram anything down anyone's throats, unless both houses of Congress side with him. If you need proof of that, just watch our government today. Currently we have a president who tryed to cram his ideas down our throats and Congress didn't go along with him, and look where we are today. According to one of the lastest NBC polls 2/3 of Americans want his healthcare reform law repealed. What we are seeing is democracy in action, it would be the same if anyone tried to cram their religious beliefs down your throats
You're too easy, reb. Get over yourself.
If you read through the comments on this thread, take notice that most of the comments have a general theme. If possible, you may then form a second thought process and notice that it isn't a coincidence that this theme corresponds to the article that the comments are posted to. Are you sitting down, reb? It seems to be some sort of left-wing conspiracy to brainwash us into communism. Most of the comments on the articles seem to have something to do with the article being commented on!!! GASP!!!! If you can not take that intellectual leap, you have no business criticizing anyone about anything.
Thank you for the neat little "Saul Alinsky" lecture. You've now exposed yourself as a Newt Gingrich/FOX minion...and I am willing to stand by the statement that deflection and humiliation were the sole reasons behind your posts.
Teabaggers......yawn....
janet - 489369 - "2/3 of Americans want his healthcare reform law repealed" - so not true. Most Americans are happy a law was passed. Parents of college students are relieved their children can still be covered under their policies. And, those with pre-existing conditions are finally able to get coverage so they don't go broke just trying to survive.
I just love when the little righties make up numbers and think no one will call them on it. Not gonna happen!
Shockedanddisgusted
You are a day late and a dollar short with this response. Sorry but I have no time to play with you today.
Libs - so yesterday.
So says someone who shows up a day later...
That's strange - you found enough time to respond to a comment which wasn't even directed to you... lol
Tiny little Reb - SO confused! ;o)))
PS: *waves to Seeking Sanity*
Good to see ya!
So, if anyone needs grammar help, send a message to REB. Spell check - no extra charge.
Starderup
You could use some help too. Is this name supposed to be some form of "Start her up"? If so it should be "start 'er up", with a T not a D which I guess stands for Dumb-ass in your case.
Miss F
First of all, were you trolling for me?? You came back 12 minutes after I posted and 26 hours AFTER your last post on this thread!!! Me confused?? Looks like you are dear. Very dangerously confused!! Lastly the comment was directed at me by Shockedanddisgusted, so I really have no idea what you are talking about!!
Okay, as an experienced curse word spewer, I have to say if you're going to drop a bomb, you gotta go balls deep. I'll give Santorum credit, when he committed to the bullsh**, he followed through. As opposed to Romney, who I'm pretty sure would say something like this...
"Now I'm going to drop the "f" bomb in an attempt to appear as though I have emotions and can relate to the blue collar worker. F**k, ha ha ha! How was that?"
That being said, there is something really repulsive about someone who's built a career off of being "holier than thou" cursing another human out in public.
Oh, Ass Juice, what are we gonna do with you?
:O
Don't think i've ever heard a gal say "balls deep"!
I think i'm turned on. lol
Hey, I warned you all, I know how to curse. Like a trucker with Tourretts syndrome. No offense, everyone.
Sarah, I too am a professional spewer of profanities but you, dear, are a master ;)
That's the best and most coherent post you've written, Michael 1969
Shame on you, Jody. You shouldn't do that when I'm drinking carbonated water. My nostrils are going to burn the rest of the day!
Who is the white guy in Michael's avatar and what did he do with the man we have all grown to love? Alien abduction team is on the way.
Mikey's been very busy 'airbrushing' his 'new & improved' image!
No amount of photo-shopping is going to change THAT hot mess!
snort snort snort ....LOL...you guys are toooo cute.
I completely understand the failure on your part to win the war of ideas so this get reduced to personal insults.....YAY....good job...I am sooooooo distraught
P.S. - I seem to remember Feisty DumbFux putting me on ignore many, many moons ago (or so she claimed). He/she must be bored. ;)
Why hide?? Ugly? Deformed? Sh*tcan the avatar and lets see folks....cowards I'm certain.
He looks like an extra from 'Roadhouse'...
Storm,
You owe me a new monitor! lmao
I was thinking Mikey looks more like the east end of a mule facing west!
Ah, well, I just couldn't stop myself from poking fun at Michael. Oh, look, there he is all huffy and puffy. Hey, Michael, just taking a page from the right-wingers who make similar comments to leftie liberals. You might consider an anger management class, too.
Isn't that the truth, Jody!
They sure can fling it but when some get's flung back their way, they piss themselves!
What's that brown goo around Mikey FUBAR's mouth? I wonder what anus little Mikey has had his mouth on...that surely can't be hair...must be either elephant or donkey ass.
The mystery was solved after "he" wrote "man up."
It's Sharon Angle in drag.
It's a good setting for Santorum, and an evenbetter onfoir romeny. Because now Romeny canpoint to his moderation vs Santorum's adamant extremeism. He can turn and make the argment to keep the partyout of the hands of theextetremists just as Nelson Rockeller did against Goldwater.
But is romney, man enough to do it? he could say: Santorum is right-I favor pregant women having acess to health insurance? where does he stand? If favor people with diabetes have acess to health insrance-where does he stand? I favor peole whi cancer have health insurance-where does he stand?
When Presidnet Obama made the deal to disallow abortions funding under the law-the Republcans voted to gut the law and let abortion back in! Howright to life is that?
By cnacelling the law, theylet abortion back in.
These pople are so extreme they wil ldo anything, wreck anything . They wil lsay they are for the right life-then let women who are pregnant not have acess to the care to carry life through. Where's the sinceretyin that?
Mtt romeny is the only thing that stands aginst extemeism.
Does Romney have the gut? we don't think so.
And that's why maybe Santorum-bad as he is, might be a better choice.

Lawyers Opposing Health Care Law Cite "Kids With Pre-Existing Conditions Can Go **** Themselves" Clause
Rick Santorum, holier than thou and self-righteous hypocrit, is determined to end ObamaCare and replace it with what? Nothing, that's what. Conservatives without conscience; conservatives preaching kindness and love while doing the opposite just because being against something President Obama supports is a "must do".
In Rick, Mitt, Newt and the GOP's world, if your employer doesn't provide health care, too bad; you can't afford it on your own, too bad. You're on your own. You're at the mercy of insurance companies who pick and choose only healthy people, insurance companies who decide you've cost them too much money so poof, no more insurance or throw you out because you reached a certain cap they decided was an acceptable life-time cost. The insurance companies trade your health for profit making sure their shareholders get earnings; then they take money from your premiums to purchase ads to sell more insurance. They pay their CEOs multi-million dollar salaries out of premiums paid to them for health care. After all their expenses, insurance companies then spend what's left on actual health care. But, hey, it's free-market enterprise and that's all the GOP cares about.
Rick and his crowd should be ashamed that "health" is a commodity bought and sold on Wall Street but they should be even more ashamed that they are lying to the very people who ACA will help, those blue collar people Rick claims as his; lying to them by telling them ACA is bad for them; and Rick and his friends know that is a lie. Conservatives like Rick speak of faith, compassion yet will continue ignoring the estimated 145,000 people who die every year because they cannot afford health care because they are collateral damage in the free-market battle.
Excellent post Jody!
I wish I had written that Jody!
Very good Jody. Any responsible adult who doesn't want to buy health insurance is not a responsible adult, but instead a leach who wants to have the tax payers pay for their medical bills.
So, we can say any adult who doesn't want health care is not only a fool, but is pretty darn stupid.
Hardly the most important "leaches" on the system.
Healthy people subsidize smokers. Are you gonna outlaw smoking? Healthy people subsidize drinkers. Are you gonna outlaw alcohol?
We all subsidize each others (thru various tax credits/refunds) which one of you is going to give your deductions back?
We as a nation, allow the Federal Reserve to transfer wealth. When are we going to ask for that back?
Jody--the other disservice the Republicans do is a result of their constant attacks on unions, who made health benefits a cornerstone of a decent wage package. Many employers offer health coverage to their non-union employees because the union folks receive it or in order to keep a union out of their company.
Thank you, Brian, Wayne, Job1.
Nicey, how odd, looks as if you are arguing for legislating how people choose to live. Do you consider it okay for insurance companies to deny coverage to children born unable to walk, with epilepsy, Down's syndrome or heart conditions? Should people who eat too many cookies or too much chocolate be denied health insurance? Or is it only acceptable in your world that health care only be permitted for those who live perfectly clean lives in accordance with your standards? Do you think it is acceptable for the rest of us to subsidize the wealthy? Paul Ryan's budget is reverse Robin Hood--robbing from the middle class and poor to give more to those who already have more than they could hope to spend.
I'm pointing out that you subsidize all sorts of irresponsible people. So does everyone in the current system. But of course, the biggest abusers of that are vast financial institutions and to an extent the government.
I actually agree with all that. My point was....
Actually, the insured probably cost everyone more than the uninsured do.
Uninsured won't be admitted to the hospital for the big cost procedures, the long stays, etc. They will be outpatient or emergency room care. It's the people not being responsible with their daily habits (smoking, alcohol, over eating, or trying to prolong elderly lives that shouldn't be prolonged, rough, but true, most people just fear letting go, we all know the majority of expenses occur in the last few months of life for individuals) that have healthcare.
The people who get healthcare and are irresponsible with their personal health cost everyone else. That is how the current system works.
I'm not saying insurance, or even healthcare plays no role. Of course they do, they would like to have all healthy people and insure no one. But even in a government provided health insurance, there's a pool of people. While freedom of choice (competing plans) and a large pool might seem to be advantages for negotiating, it hasn't worked much that way.
Medicare/Medicade have contributed to inflationary pressure on healthcare costs in the US system. The same can be said for government subsidy of tuition, which has exploded. Now, granted, private organizations abuse that government support to raise prices, but no one thinks those people aren't together on that?
I do. The government is pushing money into colleges so wealthy can make money. That's all connected. Same for healthcare.
Rick Santorum was wrong for calling out a liberal NY Times reporter for "bullcrap".
Strictly speaking, MSNBC, the NY Times and the rest of the Obama friendly media are spewing
"Axelrod-crap".
Rick Santorum was wrong for calling out a liberal NY Times reporter for "bullcrap".
V-Bob, It's because everything that has come out of Ricky's mouth has been pretty much bull@!$%#..
Now on the other hand, only half of what comes out of "Etchy's" mouth is bull @!$%#. The other half is his foot.
Romney will not oppose the Health Care Law in the general election. Especially considering his own background with it's effective use in his home state.
He has a shot to win, but it won't be on that.
Of course, Santorum will be at home, getting fatter.
He has a shot to win, but it won't be on that.
Sorry Nicey, "Cheesy Grits" doesn't have a shot at winning the gen election on any issue.....
Obama/Biden 2012
When is Willard going to break out his etch-a-sketch?
He accuses the President of being some sort of anti-American socialist, yet he(Willard) imposed nearly the same exact requirements on the people of Massachusetts - who seem to have survived the ordeal quite nicely.
I'm sure Mr. Romney will be out there after the Republican convention (if he's the nominee) bragging about what a great job he did for Massachusetts - healthcare, mandate, and all.
Defining Romney is like playing basketball with Jello. Romney's all over the place.
"He has a shot to win, but it won't be on that.
Sorry Nicey, "Cheesy Grits" doesn't have a shot at winning the gen election on any issue....."
While I think Obama will win, I think it will happen to be closer than most are anticipating on the left. The economy is improving, but it will only improve marginally by election time. No sitting president has won re-election with such a high unemployment rate in modern times since FDR.
Obama has a certain X factor, which might trump that. And he has a warchest of cash that even Romney will be hard pressed to match.
However, Romney will likely be able to carry his homestate, and some states in the Northeast (New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont are all borderline conservative areas),
Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa, Virginia, North Carolina could all revert Republican since the last election.
As well as the west/midwest/interior may all go. There are mormon populations in these areas that will bolster Romney.
And, the 2010 census re-alignment. Populations moved out of Northern states, into Southern states. Nevada gained 1, Arizona gained 2, Texas Gained 4, Florida Gained 2, Georgia Gained 1, South Carolina Gainted 1. Ohio lost 2, Michigan lost 1, Illinois lost 1, Pennsylvania lost 1, New York lost 2, Mass lost 1, New Jersey lost 1. California stayed level.
You need 270 to win.
He can get to 270.
If the entire interior votes republican. Only NV, NM, CO voted for Obama last time. Santorum won CO outright against Romney. Doesn't bode well for the general there. It's not a stretch he could get NM, NV either.
Minnesota and Iowa could fall back to Republican because of the 2010 elections, and loss of Obama's popularity. That's not just not a stretch, but quite likely. Indiana, voted Democrat for the first time in about 30 years last time. But, given the reversal in 2010, I think it's likely to go back to it's basic, which is conservative (remember, they just enacted right to work, first state to do so in a long time, that's indicate of leanings in the state).
Romney can win 1 of 3 North Eastern States. Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire. Bush carried NH in 2000. It's not impossible. Especially since Romney is the governor in a neighboring state. Romney can obviously win Mass. That shouldn't be questioned, it's the governors state, it can be won.
North Carolina and Virginia. Back to conservative. Same reason as the other typical republican states that voted blue in 2008. 2008 was a high water year for the democrats. Elections since then have turned as they always do on the party in power in hard economic times.
*The scary thing about this outline is it gives Romney 270. Without winning Florida or Ohio.* If either of those states tips to Romney, he doesn't have to win a lot of the states I listed above.
Just don't count your chickens. I think Obama squeeks it out. But it's gonna be closer than most think.
Nicey, I think you're wrong. I believe Ohio will go for Obama and both NC and VA - as well as one or two states that went for McCain last time. Women are smarter than the GOP gives them credit for and they're not about to vote for a group that wants to turn them back into 2nd class citizens like the GOP. Do I think it's going to be a rough go - yep! It's going to get down and dirty - with the emphasis on dirty. But I believe the intelligent women still listed as Republican will vote for Obama. There really is no other choice.
I call insider trading on the GOP! First they cornered the market on Etch-a-Sketch and now they've gone and cornered the market on bull@!$%#! Ah, free market capitalism at it's finest brought to you by the GOP! ;-)
Obama/Biden 2012
Republicans are hypocrites. They were for the individual mandate before they were against it. And Sanatorium was for Romney before he was against him.
Democrats were for peace before they were for blowing up Libya.
No wonder we have issues in this country. Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative if strikes me that everyone finds their niche and runs with it. Do all of you really think that one politician is better that another. I went through an American Government course that taught me two things to know about a politician.
1) Get elected
2) Stay elected
These politicians play a good game about how they feel for you the people; but once they are in office where is that concern. It went down the toilet with everything they said to get elected. Now they start on the staying elected part which puts them in the pocket of people with money. Ooops, did I lose you. Yes the companies/lobbyist control your politicians.
This current economical crisis no matter what the media tells you is GOVERNMENT induced not Democrat or Republican.
I think if you took the time to read the Constituition all of you would take the time to find someone else to vote for, neither Republican or Democrat. He is a Constitutionalist and at least I know that he has my vote as a write in candidate.
"Sanitarium Santorum" is so intolerant of others that he will never be President. His ignorance of the US Constitution is not shocking at all, and his continue attack on the rights of others is just another sign of his severe mental illmess. Now the "Romulian." AKA. The GOP/RNC "Speculator and Chief" is not much better. The GOP/RNC Clown Show is now playing at the stairs of the Supreme Court, and the "Romulian Romney" Health Care Reform Act will be found to be Constitutional. That is fact! President Obama did not create Health Care Reform. It was created, and enacted by "Romulian Romney" at the state level. He stated many times on the official record that he will put the Romney Health Care Reform in place at the national level. This is NOT President Obama's plan at all. The facts are very clear that this is the "Romulian Romney" Health Care Reform Plan only. That is fact!
Can't wait for a Sandorum Theocracy. We can count on getting rid of health care, Medicare, and Medicaid. All the gays will see the light of reason and become straight. All the women will quit their jobs and go back to being subservient housewives. And all the various flavors of so-called Christian churches will also see the light and convert either back to Roman Catholicism or become Evangelical. All the aliens, illegal and otherwise, will go home thereby purifying the country. All the Jews will go to Israel. And the rest of us can get onto the real business of our country as envisioned by the founding fathers and deal with converting everyone else in the world. Seig Heil!
Santorum is getting desparate,he needs a government job so he can have free health insurance for his family.
its sad to see Santorum makes a fool of himself by not stating the facts. 67% of Massachusetts approved the health care measure and according to fact check that percentage remains today. Santorum tells lies as there are many differences between Obamacare and Romneycare, Massachusetts was also unique as 7.7% of the state was uninsured the lowest of all states and half of the 14.8% national average. Santorum also does not mention that Massachusetts had the highest percentage of employers offering insurance at 70% at currently that percentage has increased to76% of employers. the constitution states that Federal government shall have limited powers and that power be passed down to the individual states. so Romney exercised that right under the constitution with a 67% voter approval.
The worst thing that could happen to Santorum is for Obama-care to become a non-issue.....and it looks like that is going to happen. Then what is he going to attack Romney on? That he won't interfere with a woman's right to control her own body like Santorum wants to do? The time for Santorum to sit down and shut up has already passed.
Why can't we, the 99% American People, get these " corporate-selected Republican political puppets" to talk OIL PRICES & what they intend to do about it? We can tell you, they'll take their oil stock AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER! Instead of talking magnetically-driven power sources, which are ZERO POLUTENT, they are only aloud to talk BS, the corporates won't let them say anything else!
AND THEY WANT ELECTED!!! I have been a devout Republican for many years, up until the last 8 yrs. of corporate Republican rule and total failure! Our country was discovered on DEMOCRACY, not corrupt corporate GREED & HYPOCRISY!! Capitalism hasn't worked & won't work because of CORPORATE GREED!
This is why we, the 99% American People, can't vote for these corrupted politicians!!
Santorum, take your CORPORATE political lies and GO HOME! You're NOT going to beat the Etch-A-Sketch, Mex. Republican Corporate-selected Puppet!
Go home! Do something for the 99% American People! GIVE YOUR MONEY TO CHARITY, not the so-called "NON-PROFIT" ORGANIZATIONS/FOUNDATIONS, but DIRECTLY TO THE POOR, then and only then could we believe you! You're a corporate puppet, nothing more, nothing less!! GO HOME!!
You know, politics and philosophies aside, I really dislike this guy. He's a whiner, a dirty player, and he's self righteous beyond belief. I'm voting for Obama but won't mourn if Romney wins, assuming he goes back towards the center. Santorum would be a disaster. Sometimes I think someone just needs to punch him out when he makes one of his trademark snide remarks or massive lies (remember involuntary euthanasia in Holland? What a joke).
Some state that Obama (they literally blame him for everything) is at fault and is trying to use, for political purposes, woman's feelings against being victimized ... but isn't it more true that the Republican / Tea Party has brought the actual back-lash on themselves by first seeking to manipulate and use the Christian conservatives’ emotions and to then take it to extremes for their political purposes? It really is ridiculous and totally illogical to assume that the one isn't the result of the other. Faulting anything other than their aggressive exploitation of people's interest in Christian values for political advantage and actually getting carried away with the attention they received, to the point of grossly offending many by dictating to them and trying to control their private life, is ridiculous as that should simply be seen as having the natural consequences now incurred. They are getting what they asked for and deserve - condemnation for self-servingly and manipulatively over stepping reasonable limits.
