FLORIDA: The publisher of Penthouse magazine is considering running for FL-22 as a Democrat.
MASSACHUSETTS: Olympia Snowe endorsed Scott Brown. And Elizabeth Warren stars in a “documentary” promoting President Obama’s reelection.
OHIO: Rothenberg’s Jessica Taylor warns not to over read incumbent losses in Ohio. “While some observers will misread Schmidt’s loss as evidence of some brewing anti-incumbent wave, the three-term lawmaker has had mediocre primary performances ever since she won an Aug. 2005 special election to succeed now-Sen. Rob Portman,” she writes.
VIRGINIA: “Abdominal ultrasounds for women seeking abortions in Virginia will become mandatory under a bill signed into law Wednesday by the state's Republican governor, who had faced a national uproar when earlier versions of the measure had sought to make the exams medically invasive,” the New York Daily News reports. “The law conservative Gov. Bob McDonnell signed requires all Virginia abortion providers to comply starting July 1 or pay a $2,500 fine for each violation. Patients living within 100 miles of the clinic where the abortion is performed must wait 24 hours after the ultrasound examination before having an abortion.”
WASHINGTON: Down but not out. Dennis Kucinich may still run in Washington state, perhaps for Jay Inslee or Norm Dicks seats, per Political Wire.

Putting party before gender at a time like this? I'm deeply disappointed in Olympia Snowe.
I stopped supporting Snowe after she urged Mainers to vote for Bush's re-election in 2004. Always thought it funny people called her a RINO, she was most defintely a Party member.
"Putting party before gender at a time like this?"
So Kaybee you must have supported Michelle Bachman for President , and voted for the McCain -Palin ticket, given your idea that women have to stick together..
or is it perhaps, just liberal women you consider as the same gender?
Sort of like Sheila Jackson Lee and some other Dem women were asked two days ago if Obama should return the million dollars to Maher since he has demeaned women, in particular Palin. They had no response. Guess they have to stay true to their Hypocrite in Chief.
really, dirt, really? clean out your ears. rush demeans women every day but he just took one step to far and kept stepping for nine hours of radio.
he made this young woman his crusade against all women, which is unacceptable among all sane americans, no matter what party.
Hey Dirt it is against campaign finance laws for the President to direct a super pac to do anything. Want to blame someone blame the super activist right wing supreme court for letting these super pacs exsist. The big difference from what Rush did and what Maher has said is Rush spent 9 hours systematically trying to destroy a private citizen where as Maher dropped a one word insult on a public figure. This would be a non issue if Rush had apologized like this man did.
Dennis Kucinich needs to move to Maui where he got his highest vote total in his presidential run. The seat is open. The challenger is an anti-gay Mormon conservative who is not widely liked, and the seat was previously Patsy Mink's and Mazie Hirono's. The Republican opponent is token and insignificant (harsh, but true). And Maui has no problem with a fly-in candidate since practically everyone there flew in at one time or another. He would be a shoe-in, the electorate shares his priorities, and then he'd be next in line for a Senate seat.
What a great idea. I'd vote for him.
