SNELLVILLE, GA – Just hours after President Obama described to a group of pro-Israel activists the steps he has taken and will take to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, Mitt Romney made a dire prediction about the consequences for that effort if the president is reelected.
"If Barack Obama gets re-elected, Iran will have a nuclear weapon and the world will change if that’s the case," Romney told a crowd of more than 1,500 in this suburb east of Atlanta.
Romney has stepped up his criticism of President Obama on foreign affairs, hitting the president for mission muddle in Afghanistan yesterday and continuing to label the president as weak regarding Iran, as he did today in response to a question from an eleven year-old boy.
Romney: Lack of Afghan mission clarity ‘disturbing’
"This president failed to speak out when the dissidents took the streets in Tehran, he had nothing to say,” Romney said. “This is a president who has failed to put in place crippling sanctions against Iran. He's also failed to communicate that military options are on the table and in fact in our hand. And that it's unacceptable to America for Iran to have a nuclear weapon. I will have those military options, I will take those crippling sanctions and put them in place, and I will speak out to the Iranian people about the peril of them becoming nuclear."
This morning at the annual meeting of the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), President Obama defended the steps his administration has taken to isolate the Iranian regime and derail its nuclear ambition, and he pushed back against critics like Romney who say he has not taken every action possible against Iran, or taken options like military strikes off the table.
"I have said that when it comes to preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, I will take no options off the table,” President Obama said. “A political effort aimed at isolating Iran; a diplomatic effort to sustain our coalition and ensure that the Iranian program is monitored; an economic effort to impose crippling sanctions; and, yes, a military effort to be prepared for any contingency.”
"Iran's leaders should know that I do not have a policy of containment; I have a policy to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon," the president continued.
Romney and Obama both mentioned Iran's Arab ally, Syria, in their remarks today, with the President Obama describing the Assad regime as "crumbling." Responding to a question, Romney said he did not support direct United States military intervention in Syria, but that otherwise the U.S. should be doing "everything in our power to encourage those looking for freedom in Syria."

What does Romney know about foreign policy, he has had no experience, none whatsoever in all his career. As he is so quick to tout, he was a business man, and to my knowledge, being Governor of Massachusetts, would not have given him any opportunity to even stick his big toe into foreign policy.
He does have a slate of advisers, left over from the Bush administration, advising him. These neocons talked, pushed and bullied the hapless George Bush to going into Iraq from the moment he was inaugurated and we all know how that worked out.
Romney is not the brightest tool in the box, he is the one with the least amount of concern for any consequences resulting from his actions. He has shown he is willing to push an agenda as long as it benefits him and his super wealthy friends. This man would be dangerous having his finger on or near a nuclear button, and with all those neocons, willing and able to lie about circumstances I wouldn't want any of them near foreign policy
That falls under the "No sh!t" category Mr. Presidential Candidate.....lol...anyone that watched Obama's speech this morning at AIPAC would know Obama is way outta his league.
LMAO....Yer kidding right?? Please tell me this is a joke!! To all the Americans that thought Obama was a great idea, you're going to have the balls to lecture others on the experience thingy?!?! Sorry sista, ya lost that one when you backed the Campaigner-In-Chief.
Kinda like when you bash the living sh!t outta Palin and then come here and SCREAM bloody hell about "the liberated woman"....lol....what a joke
I can't believe you don't get embarassed by your own b.s
How old are you, Michael1969? Six? You can't dispute anything she said about Romney, so you attack her, and the President (who the article wasn't even about, btw). Typical for a Republican/TP Inc. idiot, like yourself. Why don't you ask OBL about how much President Obama is 'out of his league'.
Don't forget Romney will answer a question using common sense like being against the Blunt amendment and then has to change his stance when he finds out what he is supposed to believe.
Sounds like a leader to me.
Gngerbread mamma,
I heard President Obama speech at AIPAC this morning. He said he supports Israel and and he understands like the prime Minster of Israel that any military action is taken only after careful consideration. Obama is prepared for any military contingency. The sanctions are in place and making it more difficult for Iran.
But what is most alarming is the interview on CNN later with a journalist who has interviewed the Israeli Minster of Defense. Israel is preparing for an preemptive strike sometime in 2012. Why 2012, because they know that during a presidential election in the US it will give them an advantage. Yet any strike to Iran will only delay the building of a nuclear bomb another 18 months. It would also destabilize the whole region.
This is very serious stuff. I hope the talks between Obama and the Prime Minister are frank and they find a solution that both can live with.
Meanwhile, Romney's statement is bombastic and probably really over the head of the 11 year old he was responding too. for Romney is is all about super Tuesday and he was hoping to get the child's parent's vote in Georgia.
It's pretty simple, Michael. Compare the foreign policy and military accomplishments of the Obama administration's first three years against Bush/Cheney's eight years. Then honestly ask yourself, why would we want to give the failed neocon approach another shot?
If Romney wages a foreign policy campaign against Obama, he loses. By a lot.
My point was/is in reference to Gingerbreads comment on Romneys lack of experience:
That point was brought up by one of left on this board. I'm not like Feisty where I just discuss any 'ol topic here.
I still stand correct and "right" (get it...lol) that not one of you looney left libs can reconcile the difference in her comment.
Oh sure, you can say "compared to Obamas THREE years in office, Romney lacks the experience"....well, duh. The President of the United States is a position that requires on-the-training only.
That being said, Obama had ZERO experience at an executive position when libs of this country turned a blind eye to his lack of experience. That my Liberal "I want everything paid for by my neighbor" Friend is what I was talking about....er, I mean Gingerbread Ma.
Now, if you wanna say, "Hey, experience sha-merience, we just like this cat because he promised he was gonna give us all more food stamps".....that I could at least respect...it's honest
Lets try some honesty libs
I watched the President's speech this morning & it was quite clear that isn't going to happen!
When the right wing nuts are out of steam, PLAY the
fear cardboogeyman!Sometimes when you're irrelevant, you're allowed to just make stuff up...lol...kinda like Madcow
Romney is doing a poor job rousing the right wing rabble into a frenzy with his lukewarm passion and poor grasp of the issues. If this is the best he can do, he might was well hang up his spurs.
Sounds like Romney consulted Rush Limbaugh on what position to take and Rush said "tell 'em if they re-elect Obama, Iran will get the bomb. Simplistic and outrageous, always works for me."
Keeping the coals nice and hot, eh Amy?
[Sometimes when you're irrelevant, you're allowed to just make stuff up...]
Kinda like Mittens and you, little Mikey?
...tick tock Mr. Walter...tick tock.
Your best bet is that they didn't give your seat away over at FoxNation or The Blaze
The president is a known pathological liar. He can not be trusted with this country anymore. IMHO.
[Keeping the coals nice and hot, eh Amy?]
Hey! There's the First Read @!$%#!
Where you been toadie? The wife find out that pick on women in forums but you decided to "sneak one in"?
Glad to see you back...Mikey here has tried to take over the comic relief talking point thingie but, like you, is failing miserably.
Oh, so sorry junior...I forgot...you have me on "ignore" so you won't see this.
Spanky, I've always been an Obama supporter, but now I can't wait to vote Democratic all the way down the ballot. Every check I put next to a Democratic candidate's name I'm going to say "take that, Rush Limbaugh." Me, and thousands of other women.
GBM, Malibu Mitt does have foreign policy experience, He Parks his $$$ in Overseas accounts, so there!
Occupy SoggyBottom!
"Spanky, I've always been an Obama supporter, but now I can't wait to vote Democratic all the way down the ballot."
You and the rest of the country as well, Amy. The GOP has alienated women, seniors, moderate voters, and union workers. That is not the kind of strategy that will win elections.
[The president is a known pathological liar.]
Really Ben? And just how has the president been a "pathalogical liar"...I mean, besides stating that he's your pappy...
GBM,
What we do know is the Mr. Romney will say any ould thing.
Romney knows he should stay away from this topic. The President has brought back America's good reputation around the world. The President is extremely popular elsewhere ---just not with the GOP/Koch power brokers that want to reduce Americans to voiceless, minimum wage masses.
GOP shi-tes on every good thing that Democrats do to lift up our country. We are recovering from a huge mess created by their deregulate/unpaid tax breaks for the rich in a time of war/two phoney unpaid for wars that killed thousands of Americans abroad/unpaid-for pharma deal, 30 years of policies skewed towards the wealthy...
....and still 99,9% of GOP at sall state and federal levels have pledged to a Wall Street Lobbyist nevereverever to provide equal effective taxes. And all the while their benefactors' incomes have increased by 275%.
GOP/Koch and the Presidentials are full of it. They've no vision for the 21st century and zero solutions for anything at all.
GOP/KOCh/Norquist are USELESS, ABSOLUTELY USELESS for the Middle class.
USELESS.
Who cars about Nuclear weapons?
Justin Bieber was just given a Fisker Karma for his 18th Birthday!
Yippeeee!
What a typical libtard bumper sticker! Are you that afraid of your own original thoughts?
The DNC/Soros/Maher are what? Looking out for the middle class???
Do us a favor and give us the definition of "middle class"....and then enlighten us all on how ANY of them have done a thing for "the middle class"
The most I see any on the left do is speak in platitudes (Obama) and promise more food stamps in exchange for a vote. What has the left done for the "middle class".....not the poor.
It's funny to hear these candidates speak on foreign policy and national security matters. They are not privy to highly classified information so they are making statements based on assumptions and perhaps misconception.
Didn't Obama do the exact same thing in 2007 & 2008 when he was campaigning? You looked the other way then.....dincha??
What's the difference in 2012? Different letter after their name?
Morons - try to at least appear to have a compass
Except it was Bush who gave us the most food stamp recipients. And it was his policies that kept the rolls growing due to the recession the Republican/TP Inc. party policies inflicted on this country over the last 30+ years. Remember, the recession officially started in December of 2007, but that is only the official start, the economy had been shrinking for a good 9 months before that. It was the stimulus that President Obama pushed through that kept the SNAP rolls from growing even larger, but to admit the truth of that would expose your total economic ignorance, wouldn't it, Michael1969?
Calling others morons after showing yourself to be one by what you have posted, Michael1969 is . . . well . . . moronic.
Matthew, Matthew, Matthew,
Let's not just start makin' things up now ok?
Bush and the Dems in congress had already started the "failed stimulus" that Obama signed into law before Obama was even elected. Remember, Bush invited Obama to the White House right after the election because he thought it would be a great idea to get Obama up to speed on the garbage he was about to sign into law.
Bush, the Democrats in the house, and then Obama ALL made the mistake of believing in the "failed stimulus". Besides energy policies, I'm having a hard time differentiating between Bush and Bush-lite (Obama)....Can you?...lol
As far as food stamps go, I'll take the Dept of Ag over some morons post on a looney lib board, but hey, nice try
Using the word moron is ironic coming from you Michael. Get back to me when you grow up and learn to how to have a civil discussion. Until then you deserve the same respect you afford others.
You truly are an idiot, aren't you, Michael1969? The lies just roll off your fingers. You aren't even worth responding to anymore, so this is the last time. Keep on spouting those lies, Michael1969, it just reinforces the fact that you are a fool.
Bye-bye, moron.
There's 100 looney retarded libs on this board to every one conservative. Starting with your Gal Pal Feisty "Girly_Bits" Redhead, they have said every vile thing known to man when addressing conservatives and ya don't see me whining....do ya? Grow a set an lemme know when you wou d like to get serious, then we can debate the finer points of American Politics.
As Crusty Redhead would say to ya....."Want me to call you a WHAAbulance?.....lol
"Soros/Maher".
What other thoughts you got?
Cool, the righteous left calling others names. What an interesting ideological selling point...
Kind of hypocritical for liberals to be questioning Romney's foreign policy experience when Obama had ZERO coming into office, the result of an Affirmative Action hire by the U.S. voters. Hopefully they've learned from THAT mistake.
At least as governor Romney had plenty of foreign trade experience. Obama can't even say that. Obama never led anything in his life and still hasn't. Leading from behind isn't leading. It's a coward hiding.
We can see how well Obama has addressed the issue of Iran getting a nuclear weapon. Iran has been able to SPEED UP THE PROCESS, instead of slowing it down or stopping them completely. The Iranian leadership is really shaking in their boots now......NOT!
Yeah, gotta hand it to Obama, his foreign policy rhetoric can't be believed any more than his campaign rhetoric. All BS, all the time.
Oh Goodie - Mitts wants to have his paw on the red button and nuke Iran off the planet. What a statesman. I mean, who cares what China and Russia may have to say about the nuclear option.
But if Romney is elected, I will get a boil on my backside! About as much correlation as Romney's comments here. This man will say ANYTHING if he thinks it will resonate with the wacko base.
Iran already has a nuke. So how's that boil of yours?
Really, Ben? Got any proof of that?
Opajack, just finding that out? I do so like how obama is so above this type of politics. ROTFLMAO!
"
"I have said that when it comes to preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, I will take no options off the table,” President Obama said. “A political effort aimed at isolating Iran; a diplomatic effort to sustain our coalition and ensure that the Iranian program is monitored; an economic effort to impose crippling sanctions; and, yes, a military effort to be prepared for any contingency.”
"Iran's leaders should know that I do not have a policy of containment; I have a policy to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon," the president continued.
enough said.. I think our President is doing a great job! FRAUDney is a loser.
Pay attention, Michael1969. Listen to what the President actually says, not to what Faux Noise, or Rush Limbaugh tells you he said. Faux Noise, and Limbaugh lie.
If Romney becomes POTUS, this country will be at war with EVERYBODY!
a vote for romney, obama, or santorum is a vote for ww3 ron paul 2012.
A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for a bigot, who will CRASH this economy, and the world's, faster than any of the other Republican/TP Inc. clowns running.
Do you mean the Ron Paul that the last chance he had to vote for setting a time-table for ending the war in Iraq he decided to vote with the republicans to keep the war going with no end in sight? I am sure the rest of the anti-war pacifists voted with the republicans too.
Sure you can believe anything he tells you, just don't check out the way he votes if you want to continue to believe him.
For the love of America Obama/Biden 2012
Ron Paul has sold out to Romney, haven't you heard?
Hey truth, you realize that the Left has been using this same tired old line every Election for the past 50 years?
Why are we still in Afghanistan? Why did we go to Libya? Africa?
Which President seems to really be a war monger?
Americans First - You respond to any Paul supporter with that same BS line; its bogus, you know it, and you still repeat it.
If the "world economy" has to survive by killing and abusing the less fortunate then maybe it should re-evaluate it's own wants and needs.
So, who is the man, what part of Americans First post is bogus?
Care to explain what you mean by your second statement? It's not really clear what you are saying? Are you trying to support Ron Paul's economic positions with that statement? What exactly are you trying to say?
Here is a bit of common sense on the subject if any one is interested. The country most afraid of Iran getting a nuke is, wait for it, Saudi. To be perfectly frank, what we need to do (and Israel for that matter) is to keep tight sanctions on Iran, cut them off from money, but any kind of attack? No. Leave that to the Saudis and the Arab League. Iran is in their backyard, it is their problem.
Matthew, Houston, TX, Americans First-3238795, Amy B. Portland, ME are you ppl idiots and the ones who voted your comments or something so are you saying we should vote for obama or mittens who is going to drag us into more war and debt and tyranny?idiots
Accusing Ron Paul of voting against a deadline when, in fact, he was one of the few who voted against going into Iraq in the first place is enough to make me more than irritated. What if there was a vote to end something as horrible as the holocaust or selling guns to Mexican drug cartels a few years down the road; not immediately? F&$# no; so why did we need to stay in Iraq until a few years down the road? Get it? We should not have been there in the first place! But hey, at least we can bend a few facts around so it makes the slightly less informed than yourselves jump on the bandwagon. Whatever does the trick...
Though what whistle blowers do to expose truths may, or may not, be a crime on their part it is never a crime for ignorabians to read about it. The stuff sure as he!! isn't going to get much attention in mainstream American press. You want to perpetuate the war on terror? Just keep telling us we're the good guys while handing out weapons like parade candy; almost indiscriminately drone bombing where ever.
I wish President Obama would make it clear that he doesn't need to defend himself against the far, far right; they aren't in the White House for a reason.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8rQNdBmPek&feature=g-vrec&context=G255e143RVAAAAAAAAAg
And stop pretending that the IAEA report from last November 8th was anything more than a political document; as real intelligence, not the GOP, said it actually was "nothing new". STFU Romney.
So, in other words, who is the man, Americans First's assertion that he voted against a deadline wasn't bogus. Correct?
I agree, we never should have been in Iraq in the first place.
As to the rest of your post . . . what? You really were not making a whole lot of sense, and seemed to just ramble from one subject to the next without any discernible connecting points. And I'm still not clear on what you meant in your statement about economics in post 6.5.
I'm not criticizing, just trying to understand what you are trying to say. Shoot, it seems that we even agree on some things, but I'm not really sure because I did not quite understand what you were saying.
Yeah, Paul should have voted for the deadline then like I (hypothetically speaking) just now decided to stop drinking and driving four years for now. Aren't you proud of me?
My point economically can be derived from cases like this http://www.haiti-liberte.com/archives/volume4-47/Washington%20Backed%20Famous.asp where the US embassy worked to suppress minimum wage in the poorest country in the western hemisphere. Also, how about the suicidal Chinese FoxConn/Apple employees....
*from now*
phine...
Good insight, however keep in mind that what many won't acknowledge is treaty agreements and national goals. I daresay that very few of the common folk want to dwelve into the world of international commitments.
Ron Paul voted to supress minimum wage right here in America.
So what is your point?
What a scrooge! What he should have done is propose a $25.00/hr. minimum wage. Then we could all be rich!
phinephancy-4252115,
You libs forget 911 so easily, how would you like a nuke from Iran showing up on a doorstep near you.
Wrong Willard! If President Obama is reelected,Iran will either suffer a financial collapse or a series of cyber attacks plus ground penetrating smart bombs. The whole world know that the president is not afraid to order an attack if left with no recourse. Are you up to the challenge of making a tough decision Willard? Somehow I doubt it!
After a few well placed Israeli missles, This Iran thing will be a mute issue......
The word you are looking for is 'moot', not 'mute'.
And you are right, because a few well placed Israeli missiles will start WWIII in the Middle East. Diplomacy, and sanction must be tried first, or every single Arab nation will be fighting Israel, and the US. It would be the spark that plunges this world into another world war, with the potential to end civilization, as we know it.
No to warmongers, no to any of the Republican/TP Inc. party candidates for President.
Yes to Obama for President.
Hi Matthew, nice to see you posting. Thanks for the support. I believe that President Obama, will try everything on the table except war before he goes to that extent. Sanctions will have to work and must be tried and given a chance and along with them, diplomatic efforts. Another war, will be disastrous for this country.
When President Obama was running for office in 2008, he had been in the Senate for two years and while there had worked with Rep.Sen. Richard Lugar on nuclear disarmament including the destruction of excessive nuclear weapons. They traveled to Russia for negotiations on this topic, so he had some experience on the subject. It was from this experience that he derived a special interest in making sure their will be no further proliferation.
This is something Mitt Romney and the rest on the right need to realize, President Obama has a background in this experience that has now increased by his dealings as President with Iran. It is a scary thought to have one of these candidates, especially the front runners as of today, in charge of how our foreign policy is handled. Especially if it is Mitt Romney, as he never knows from one day to the next, what is his position on any given topic may be.
Of course obama is...
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46620335/ns/world_news/
Back to scare tactics I see Repubs! Let's just invade Iran and start WWIII! It's not like China and Russia have a problem with us invading them. Let's just blow the whole darn world apart in the interest of "national security". Whose national security? Israel's? Oh...wait. Why? Oh that's right, because they are "god's choosen." Excuse me but isn't it about time that separation of church and state and good reasoning skills prevailed. Israel taunts everyone in that region. Israel is like the ungrateful little brother that might need a lesson in humility so they will shut up and stop getting us into messes that, frankly, have little or nothing to do with us. Let's suppose Iran get's a nuke. You do realize we have enough nukes to destroy the entire planet right? They aren't going to touch us, but they might nuke big mouthed Israel. Sounds like what we really outta be doing is telling Israel to stfu.
smh at Romney.
Romney is the 'Norquist' candidate... Someone that will 'do as he's told'... I'm sure old Grover has a direct line to Mittens...
The world would be so much saner without the likes of Norquist and Limbaugh... When are people going to realize the power these two evil men have!
Did you listen to Ira Glass this weekend, interviewing Norquist? I can't stop thinking about it. NJ lays off cops, crime goes up, but the top 1 % enjoy the lowest tax rates in 70 years, and Norquist is congratulating himself. Look at the difference between Haiti and Japan, in their abilty to handle a disaster, and ask yourself why having a government small enough to drown in a bathtub is such a worthy goal.
I listened to that interview as I was gardening yesterday, Amy. Norquist has a vision for America that is a dark and bleak. He is a seriously misguided individual.
Amy, Sailcat, is there anywhere on line that the interview can be seen? I'd like to watch it.
It was on a radio program called This American Life broadcast on NPR.
Amy, Sailcat, Matthew, did you know that in an interview this past week, that Norquist said he first devised the plan never to increase taxes, when he was 12yrs old in the 7th grade! From an interview with Samantha Bee of the Daily Show. Imagine that, the Federal government is in total paralysis because of a 12 yr old's plan!!!! Only in America, and in the Republican Party. Pure craziness.
Cool. Thanks, Sailcat. I've often listened to This American Life, but did not expect that it would be on that program.
Romney owns Rush Limbaugh's radio station yet he says nothing about Limbaugh's disgusting attack on a woman because she testified regarding birth control. I guess he likes his guy calling woman sluts and and perhaps he his hoping to see the videos Rush requested. Fat flipping Fool!
Romney in Foreign policy has got to be better than Obama, and that Hillary hag. What was hillary's foreign policy experience?? Opening the door for foreign guests to our White House. Thought they had butlers to do that??
Now if Odumbo had appointed a life-long diplomat to the post of Secretary of State, I could respect and admire that decision. Hillary?? No way.
Obama shelved in 2012.
I don't think Isreal has the patience to make it to November or even August for that matter. Mitt sounds the bell of scare tactics. Only time, will call someone's bluff. A war with Iran will make Iraq and Afghanistan combined look like child's play in comparison. Partly because the price at the pump will affect every person severely. You will be reminded, daily, there is a war even if you do not watch TV or read the paper or internet news. I can't say the same for the other wars.
Greyhatter, if you lived in So Fl as I do, you would seriously question what recession, what gas prices. This is the busiest season we have seen in several years, the traffic is horrendous, the number of cars from out of state alone states things are looking up despite what the news media would have you believe. And for the record, I don't live in Palm Beach, but a small community north of there, where it is hard to find parking at a grocery store, never mind a restaurant or the beach. the Honda Classic, ten mins from my home was a sellout for four days with record crowds and Spring Training has sold out all their games and as you can imagine all the hotels are full too. As locals we have learned not to try and fight the crowds until after Easter. It is as they say, a good complaint and very good for the economy.
I am the 11 year old I am so happy you guys love this I asked him about Iran and Israel I am amazed about how I am just so little and made the news all over the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!
He doesn't really have anything to run on, so he makes up stuff like "Obama means Iran will have the bomb." Yeah, right. The guy doesn't have any message of his own, and his "secret" restaurant plan doesn't help to instill any confidence in him: (can't post a URL here, so look up "Romney's secret Restaurant")
First of all, Iran is an extremely complex situation. Romney and his sound bites are meaningless. I don't know what the answer is. Romney doesn't know. There may not be a good solution. Regardless you can be sure that Romney will change his position on it multiple times, exactly what you don't want to do in foreign policy. I would say that he's a moderate, which I'm for, but the simple fact is no one knows how he would actually govern. He will take any position that he thinks will benefit him, even for nothing more than a 24 hour news cycle.
Obama has not been stellar. I like him personally far better than any of the other candidates. I kind of like Ron Paul but he's also a little spooky. Obama is extremely intelligent, more pragmatic/less liberal than his opponents represent, and frankly I think he has learned a great deal in the last three years. I'm going to vote to give him another four years, for that reason and the fact that the Republicans have not fielded a viable candidate in my view, which is moderate but admittedly slightly left of center, particularly on social issues.
I don't really want to open a can of worms, but....... Who do we think we are to tell any country what they can and cannot have? The last time I checked the US has more nuclear capability than the rest of the world combined, I may be mistaken, but I think that is correct. In the history of the world, WE, the United States is the ONLY country to ever unleash nuclear weapons on INNOCENT CIVILIANS!! We need to get off of our high horse and stop dictating to other countries/peoples/religions/races what they can and cannot do. WE ARE NOT THE POLICE OF THE WORLD!! If we could possibly allow every other country to make and do the things of their own choosing, I believe, we will be much better off. Isn't that what world democracy is all about. When we stop dictating to other countries, the hate that many have for us will diminish and there may be no need for weapons of any kind ever again. The world MUST become one community if we are to survive on this planet-Peace and Democracy for all peoples! What would YOU think of the US if you lived in another country?? That is all.
At last a voice of reason.
Neither Romney nor any of the other Republican candidates qualifies as an "expert" in foreign affairs. Romney, especially. Obama is doing a great job with our foreign affairs. He gets no credit from the right but, we would never expect that. They refused to give Obama credit for going after bin Ladin without putting his own presidency first. He knew there was a huge possibility that could have gone all wrong. But he took that risk because his purpose was to get the man responsible for 911 attacks, not glorify himself. If you think Romney would have done that, just picture him trying to make up his mind about it. I can see it now. "ok. go for it." "No, wait, wait. Who do I blame if it doesn't work and we just lose our Seals?" .."Well, Ok then. Do it" .. "No, wait! .... etc. etc. etc.!
I do not believe Israel will unilaterally attack Iran, and I don't think the US is going to risk starting an all out war in the Middle East because that would unite every Arab country solidly against Israel. The political insecurity for Israel created by the Arab Spring has already put them on very bad footing. They also have internal economic problems. A boycott of Israel would not be helpful at the moment.
What does Mitt mean - "If" Obama is re-elected ?
Romney, Now you are working on the fear factor.
The President is handling our international issues just fine, and will deal with Iran as well as any other country.
Oh, and AOL is a sponsor for Limbaugh also. Time to switch providers.
Huffington Post put out a disclaimer saying AOL is one of the dirt bag sponsors as well.
if so the 2 nute country s, one with help of a one time world power =USA,the other gave the 2 fingers to the world.I say stop the 2 of them .The U S A as is a sad one time Power make ,can not do anything ,just lick Isreal s ass,and hope the world power =China may stop the 2 Nuts
romney's misinformation tactic , the only strategic answer for his campaign...ok guys lets try instilling fear in the people, Romney has taken a old page from the mob --lets the scare people in a all out attempt to get what we want.It is obvious romney's has no plans or solutions,he will say or do anything to get elected .Even the republicans know he is the most detrimental candidate ever ,and that he would be better at kite flying!!!
And if Romney gets elected we will get in another trillion dollar war using smart weapons of mass destruction that accomplish nothing other than to violate the thou shall not kill commandment.
