What a week it was...
Just when you think it couldn't get any more bizarre, the GNOP comes along and outdoes themselves!
I have followed politics closely the last 12 or so years and I have NEVER seen anything quite like traveling 3 ring circus of the modern day Republican'ts!
Fact is stranger than fiction these days, Feisty.
Thanks to Mark, Domenico and crew for keeping us informed about all these developments.
I am looking forward to Happy Hour at the DDI---rumor has it a certain brave young woman from DC will be the guest of honor this week. I will certainly buy the first round in her honor.
I did love Chuck Todd pointing out this morning that Michigan's Republican Chair is going against former statements that the 2 'super' delegates would be proportional and now they are not. I may think Chuck votes a certain way; but he definitely will call them out.
I feel like we should all be thanking Rush Limbaugh for putting this election in such beautiful Gift Wrap and Bow. I mean he is pretty much insuring that no self respecting woman would ever vote for a Republican.
I'm torn between boycotting AND sending a Thank you,...I guess I'll do BOTH! lol

When he spoke by phone to Sandra Fluke - who has been victimized by Limbaugh nation-wide - the President said her family should be proud of her.
Sandra is so grateful that President Obama said that and supported her, because Limbaugh implied that her family would not be proud of her.
And the President of her Catholic University, John J. Degoria made this statement:
"One need not agree with (Sandra Fluke's) substantive position to support her right to respectful free expression. Rush Limbaugh and commmentators throughout the blogosphere and in various other media channels - responded with behavior that can only be described as mysogynistic, vitrioloic and a misrepresentation of the position of our student".
The Law Faculty at Georgetown have endorsed her civil discourse. Fluke was severely victimized by the Horse's Ass Limbaugh et al. What's he going to do about it?

What a statement by the University President. There is a hat trick for you: mysogynistic, vitriolic and misrepresentation.
Am preparing emails to any sponsor of Limbaugh's show whose goods/services I use to tell them that I will no longer be a customer. If basic decency doesn't propel them to do the right thing, perhaps loss of revenue will.

I couldn't care any less what dingbats like Feisty or Bev think but Im certain most on here are fairly reasonable folks.
Maybe sometime soon we can go over the finer points of the United States electrical production and consumption. Usually once people have the facts presented, they tend to agree with what's wrong and the solutions, Wrong from both sides of the aisle, I might add.

Michael, how would you know if a woman right is abused since you are not a woman. Men who are not medical doctors should not tamper with women health. Do men know how it feels to be pregnant? So what business do they have making rules for what they have absolutely no business engaging in except for political expediency. When is limited government not applicable when law makers intrude into our bedrooms and dictated on checking my wife uterus because we decided that she should use contraception as protection while l may decide to use Viagra enhancement. While would mine be paid for by our insurance and not hers. All men decision without women input.

A serial rapist who is extremely against women's right to get rid of unplanned, unexpected and unwanted pregnancies forced upon them by serial rapists bragged as he wrote the following:
" I have at least 6 children out there being raised by six different young school girls I raped. No one has been able to arrest me because each time I rape like that, I would smartly disappear without being caught.
One major reason I like Republican Party is their anti-abortion policy that could not allow my victims to get rid of my babies growing in their wombs no matter the circumstances. Yes, it made it possible for me also to have children out there. I saw a picture of one of the babies and he looks exactly like me. I wanted to have a biological baby and the only way I could have a baby brought into this world was to rape a girl and that is what I did. Women hate me because of my ugly appearance and a deformity that I have so raping was my only alternative of protecting my right to have children. One of my victims; a fifteen year old young school girl, whose parents were staunch supporters of Republicans' policies, really cried to her parents to let her get rid of my baby by terminating the pregnancy but the parents could not allow her. I am glad that I have this baby with her even though she does not know where I am. I am thankful to Republicans and her parents for having protected my baby. Democrats' policy of freedom to choose would have enabled the young girl to terminated the pregnancy and I would have lost my baby. The girl dropped out of school and even though she hates the baby, I do not care much because my baby is growing up.”
I read what this serial rapist wrote and was shocked. Many girls have been forced to carry rapists' babies in their wombs and have had their lives destroyed because Republicans believe that even rapists have a right to have their babies raised by their victims no matter what. Rapists are very happy with republicans on this.
Democrats DO NOT and HAVE NEVER encouraged abortion. What Democrats stand for is women’s freedom to terminate an illegal pregnancy that has been forced upon them like in the case mentioned above. Regarding the above mentioned circumstances, Democrats policy is that this girl who was forcefully made pregnant by this rapist had a right to make the rapist understand that she was not obliged to reward and please him with a baby resulting from his sexual crime. Unlike Republicans who would reward such sex offenders with babies, Democrats are always out to fight for women’s right to choose. It is a stupid thing for some people to be too strict to be sensible is circumstances such as this one.
I wish the rapist mentioned here above was apprehended and brought to justice.
