Santorum, Romney split delegates out of Michigan, 15-15

The NBC News Elections Desk reports that in the Michigan primary, with 30 delegates at stake, Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney will split that state's delegates 15 apiece.

Michigan allocated its delegates winner-take-all by congressional district.

Santorum should give Romney all his delegates and drop out of the race. He cannot beat Obozo. Not sure if Gingrich can either. Romney has the best chance to beat Obozo and SAVE THIS COUNTRY FROM DISASTER. The time is NOW to put a BUSINESSMAN, with a proven record of successful accomplishment in the White House. Get the "on the job training" president we have now OUT OF THERE!

Jim,

And a horrible one at that. Worst President in history. Hell, he may even be worse than Carter. He was not qualified to be President and it shows. Romney or Gingrich are infinitely more qualified to be President. For one, they know how to BALANCE A BUDGET, they both know how to lead, and they both won't apologize for America, and bow to a Saudi king. Obama proposes a budget and its so bad that ALL Senators voted against it. Harry Reid is so embarrassed by the most recent one he doesn't even want to bring it up for a vote. Sad sad sad. Obama is a joke. Get a clue.

hah! so mittens has to share 50% of his home state's delegates with some guy on record as rejecting the separation of church and state. Their convention is going to pure hilarity.

It's a little disheartening this year to see that a level of corruption is snaking it's way into the republican party primary election. First with the Iowa vote, that was clearly announced when CNN interviewed 2 of the precinct people there....and then after delays blamed on the very precincts the had been on the air the vote was obviously changed.... and now with this delegate manipulation in Michigan. I hope that our 2 powerful political parties are paying close attention to the civil unrest that is gripping the rest of the world due to corruption.... They should be paying VERY close attention because it's not only outside the US that this ripple is taking place and it won't take much to set this off right here in their own front yard. All it would take is a little social media organizing (and hopefully not guillotines!) I have to say as a registered republican I am appalled at the obvious manipulation! The question is who is doing the manupulating and why????? The question bears asking...

Get rid of everyone starting with Eric Cantor who watered down the only bill to stop congressional Insider Trading

Get rid of republicans who are attaching their dumb ass contraception amendment to the Transportation Bill

The Transportation Bill gives American Families "JOBS" & conservatives would rather tie up the legislation for "contraception"

So much for republican "principles" on clean bills, huh?

You might think about the manipulation being done by republicans --- All that rage against the Wall Street Bail Out?

Romney likes the Wall Street Bail Out... Republicans promise to eliminate every regulation & Dodd-Frank that stops tax payer bail outs -------------- You figure out who's been manipulating who!

      #34.2 - Wed Feb 29, 2012 10:59 PM EST

Nope, in this one it's the evangelicals.....they hate the Mormons, any Mormon....and in fact, if they could they would round them all up and throw them in an arena with some lions and pretend not to smile while they are watching it all! (Yes, those Christians hate those other Christians that much, just ask'em) The fact that Santorum was highly favored by the evangelicals in Michigan and Romney was actually favored by the Catholics in Michigan is interesting as Santorum is a Catholic but a lot of the Catholics think he is too Evangelical. This primary race is quickly shaping up to be one of religious intolerance, just watch as it unfolds....the evans true colors are coming out!

Tajen. Follow the money. Didn't the Koch Bros. pledge $100 million to defeat Obama? Big money has only one other endless lust: Big Power. Why, in this country do we have such difficulty absorbing and believing this? Hasn't the hapless, mindless Teaparty been funded by these same characters? Does it occur to you how much we are led to believe what we want to believe even though most of the dots don't connect. Ask Kerry how W became a war hero and he became a sham in their shameless attack on his military record. When confusion reigns we don't respond in a logical fashion. We become divided and distrustful. Who can accomplish this more completely than those who control information? Vote against the big money. They've been disrespecting & mocking this process for decades. Corporations are NOT people.

Yes I have noticed. It bothers me because sometimes it's issues I think are important and we should discuss, like the Keystone XL pipeline. They had two articles here today and yesterday where they discussed how the pipeline would actually make gas prices in the mid-west go up. Also how the jobs numbers were skewed for the pipeline and the oil wouldn't stay here but go to the international market.

And for some reason we couldn't comment on those two articles, but we have been able to on previous Keystone articles.

None of the celebrity stuff has a comments section any more...

Throwing your vote away is what happens when you don't vote. A revolution would occur if we voted in concert AGAINST the BIG money. How easy to conceptualize, how easy to do. Reacting in such a fashion COULD CHANGE THE TIDE of american electoral "wisdom". Thinkaboutit... Visualize lying about your intent to pre-election polling and doing other than what you say...not unlike campaigning politicians. Willard is burning through money and getting unsatisfying results. We're SO close to a behavioral revolution. WE COULD DO THIS. It would be alot like exercising our democracy and exorcising that which has been rotting it. Fighting fire with fire, defeating liars with lies. I want an American Spring. How about it kids?

Jim-372206 Every election cycle we get lined up like bowling pins. We are led through seemingly meaningless exercises that are supposed to be our expression of democratic choice. How is it that only Dems & Repubs get elected? How is it that so often the candidate with the most money wins? How is it that when we elect someone on what sounds like good ideas, political pundits and hate media line up to trash the program? How is it that we do this ad infinitum my friend? Are you referencing the American Revolution? I believe we threw the Brits out because they were treating America much as our "homies" are treating us now. ie: We won. Cold water and truth has a hard time competing with fear and money. Remember the Swift-boaters? Define morally absurd. I got lost on that one.

Dude,,, Get off it already, we are not being treated like we were before the Revolution... Check the Supreme Court records. States have more power than federal government & nobody's freedoms have been taken away.... In fact, more Americans & even gun owners have more liberties than they did in 2007

If you are still trying to make an argument for Ron Paul, your problem is with Ron Paul & republcians that aren't supporting him.... I've told you from the beginning all Ron Paul is doing is paving a path for his son, you might want to start looking at that because he knows he doesn't have a chance from republicans, he's just not one of them

Senor Jim. Your assumption that I support Ron Paul is incorrect. Isn't he want to be one of the four Repubs? I see no HOPE in that field. The Supreme Court Recently granted corporations the status of individuals which is how the REALLY BIG money is back. REALLY BIG money operates like royalty Jimmy. If you aren't one of them, you really aren't anything. Are you able to donate a few million to your guy? If the answer is no then you really have no business being a Repub. That is what so many blue collar Repubs either don't get or don't believe. Our system needs an enema but that takes guts and a belief that everything worthwhile may not be "in the box". Our Revolution was not the product of "in the box" thinking. Never cared for Loyalists myself. Perhaps your definition of "morally absurd" is still forming?

If Romney beat Sanitorium in Michigan then doesnt that mean that more people voted for Romney. So why are they spliting the delegates 15 to 15? Proof once again that the politicians are not voted in by a vote of the people. They are voted in by the electoral college also known as delegates. These delegates are ex politicians, judges, rich businessmen etc who have been chosen by someone. You all notice that the news media never does a story on who exactly these people are and how they got that position? Wake up sheeple. The election process in this country is a sham. Its all smoke and mirrors designed to trick the people into thinking they had a hand on who got elected.

That fact that Santorum had to use robocalls and ask democrats to vote for him to send a message to Romney shows how desperate Santorum is. It is just another indication that his message of pushing the religious issues are not resonating with the majority of the voters who are more concerned with the economy.

He may have picked up some delegates in Michigan by using this underhanded tactic, but what does it get him in the general election if he did become the republican nominee, a big fat nothing. These democrats who voted for him will not vote for him in the general election so all it accomplished was to skew the republican primary process.

So much for honesty in American politics; win at any cost. And we condem nation after nation for not having free and FAIR elections.
