Trump records robo-call for Romney in Michigan

Mitt Romney is getting his money's worth out of Donald Trump's endorsement.

Beginning today, Michiganders will be hearing from "The Donald" in the form of a Robo-call on Mitt Romney's behalf.

On the call, which was previewed to NBC News this morning, Trump slams Rick Santorum as someone who "doesn't know about creating jobs," and is "completely entrenched in the Washington culture."

"I'm tired of Rick Santorum pretending he's some kind of DC outsider," Trump says at the start of the recording.

Trump spokesman Michael Cohen says the call will go out statewide, beginning today, and will go on for several days.

Trump has been active on Romney's behalf over the last week -- taking part in a New York City fundraising effort and doing radio interviews in Michigan and Ohio in which he has praised the former Massachusetts governor and attacked his rivals, but not ruled out his own third party run should Romney fail to win the nomination.

Santorum and Romney are locked in a close battle for Michigan, Romney's home state.

As First Thoughts noted this morning, Michigan primary voters are being bombarded with robo-calls from both campaigns ahead of Tuesday's contest.

"He will win," Trump says of Romney on the call. "You've got to give him a chance."

Nothing like getting a call from someone who has been divorced twice, cheated on all his wives, has filed for bankruptcy a number of times and has a big mouth. And a bad hair do. Who lives like a European Prince with all that gaudy gold in his penthouse.

Hey Romney, is Trump what you would call "A man of faith?"

Trump sure as hell doesn't live like the rest of us Americans. He sees himself as a playboy prince. A European playboy prince. And an ugly one at that. Most of them are.

btw, where is Romney's money again? Stashed away where?

I wonder what land deals Trump has been offered for his endorsements of Romney.

Maybe Trump feels he needs to buy a few more golf courses and Romney will be the man who gets the deals done for him.

Whoa! I hope everyone reads your post. It is a clear indication of your envy, and hatred of all who are more successful than you.

If someone referred to Obama as "ugly" you would call it "hate-speak," even racist.

But, it's okay for YOU to do it towards Trump. (Double standard!)

....and by the way, while we're on the subject of money, and shady deals; can we have a FULL ACCOUNTING of the arrangements Federally Convicted Political Racketeer Tony Rezko made for Obama's purchase of an estate in the posh Kenwood section of Chicago, for substantially less than the asking price or actual value of the property? Remember, this is a guy who went to jail for political influence peddling, which is doing thingslike that for people in exchange for favors. Rezko had gotten favors from Obama to include letters that were written to state and federal authorities urging financing for Rezko's construction projects.

But, since it's Obama, nobody seems to care. If that was Trump or Romney people like YOU would do a dance all over it.

There is definitely a double standard when it comes to that kind of behavior. People like YOU turn their heads the other way if if it's YOUR GUY doing it.

But, you cackle and chortle about it if you think the opposition is doing it. I suggest you need to reflect upon your own morals and ethics, as well as your vitriol towards those people who have shown more success in their lives than you have.

I am always amazed that a candidate is spouting off on the fact "I am not a Washington insider" when he/she is running for the ULTIMATE Washington insider job. BTW, wouldn't some "insider" knowledge of how Washington works be a little useful when dealing with the insiders that are already there?

I thought Doanld Trump switched his party registration from Republican to Independent after the voters rejected his ridiculous campaign for the presidency, shameless bid for free publicity.

Mitt's money must look pretty attractive to Donald Trump ....

He may be thinking of a joint venture for a huge condo complex on some Palm Beach ocean front property ....

The amazing thing is that Romney thinks that Trump robo-calling is going to help him! He gets stupider and more out of touch every day.

Does anyone actually pick up the phone when these calls come in? Most people, that I am aquainted with, have caller ID and just ignore them. I have no idea of the cost per call but it seems a big waste of money.

Does he think that Trump is going to get him any votes? Who on God's green Earth would listen to Donald Trump for advice on who will be our next president? The inmates have taken over the asylum.

Santorum has been dealt the Trump card. Romney should also be endorsed by Bernie Madoff.

Lemme get this straight- a supposed rich casino guy who was rejected in his 'run' for the Republican nomination doing robo calls in support for the rich company destroyer/raider with bank accounts out of country to hide millions from US taxation, who lies that he's one of the 99%ers, that hasn't a clue about middle class Americans?

Talk about not being able to make this stuff up, where truth is stranger than fiction! Way too funny!

I feel so sorry for all you folks who cannot see the forest for the trees.... Donald Trump is helping Mitt Romney because for Donalds' money Mitt Romney is the best choice this country has. If you all would look at the trees instead of the bushes you would see an honest, kind and caring man and that is Mitt Ronmey. He cares what is happening to this country. When he says the soul of this country is at stake he means it. That is not just something to be blathering about. The United States of American is broke and we need a LEADER to fix it. Mitt Romney is that man. Come on guys wake up and seee the beautiful forest and not just the trees. God bless you all for caring in your own way.

God bless for caring in your own way? That sounds more like a Santorum back ass compliment than something Romney would say.

Romney is too liberal for the conservatives in the tea party and we already have a liberal choice, the president that is ahead in the polls. Is Romney the most decent of them? I would say by the way he has lived absolutely he is the most decent, outside of Obama. He is going to be a hard sell too because he has become damaged with some of the tea party garbage.

Maybe we can't see the forest because the trees are not "just the right height." Good grief.
