Foster Friess -- a prominent Santorum supporter and one of the chief benefactors of a pro-Santorum Super PAC -- today made a statement on contraception that's already raising plenty of eyebrows.
Friess told NBC's Andrea Mitchell on "Andrea Mitchell Reports":
This contraceptive thing, my gosh, it's so inexpensive. Back in my days, they used Bayer aspirin for contraceptives. The gals put it between their knees, and it wasn't that costly.
The obvious suggestion by Friess: that women should put an aspirin between their legs so they don’t open them.

Back in the fifties when people made fun of us Catholics about our families, the joke was aspirin between the knees was the Catholic form of contraception. We laughed it off. My smart ass remark was I am not catholic,, I am a passionate Protestant . We would then laugh it off. I am a Democrat as well and marvel at these idiots like Pelosi & A. Mitchell as well. The problem is that the people that are praising abortion are actually the Racist, for the highest % of abortions are blacks and poor whites. Go figure. If I was black I would rather live next to a KKK member than a extreme liberal like Pelosi, for I can not see her racism. I don't see any liberals demanding that men use birth control or have themselves sterilized. In fact it is the liberal men that are screaming about providing birth control for women.
That's right Rick...we ARE demanding that women's contraceptives receive coverage in health plans equal to what men's products to combat erectile dysfunction like Viagra and Cyalis receive.

And if an unwanted pregnancy occurs HER options will be decided by US,the men.

Andrea Mitchell is old enough to have coined the aspirin phrase. It was a common phrase when talking about contraception from the 40's to the 80's. I don't know why she'd need to catch her breath hearing that flashback to her past. I'll bet she regrets not using that aspirin while in the back of that 57 Chevy at the drive-in-movie.

Forcing a religion to pay for insurance that has to pay for contraception/abortion is not for or against a woman's health. If a woman wants to have sex out or in marriage that is her choice. The pill is actually more of a health problem because it has possible side affects & it does not stop VD etc. Even a homosexual act can be unsafe. If women do not want to get pregnant let them require their sex partner to get condoms or have a snip snip, those are the safest except snip snip does not stop disease, unless she & her partner have been monogamous ( not meant to be a pun). The question is will Obamacare require Insurance plans to cover those items. Does contraception/abortion really work for all or does it work for the people who do not want the lower/middle class to grow. Abortion is not a form of contraception, it is killing a child. I fought for women when they were forced on the director's couch to get a role (example) but also believe that it is just as wrong for them to screw their way to the top. I also believe that the religious employers could just give higher wages in lieu of health ins but Obamacare says no you have to insure. We have a problem. I remember when Reagan was trying to destroy the middle class by pushing all the elimination of tax deductions as well as wanting to require health ins as income and thus taxable. He got the change in our taxes (not the other) and succeeded in raising more tax revenue with those penalties, so the middle class saved the country once again. Clinton did the same and we prospered. Obama stated in a speech in 2008, he was Reagan like, well God help us all. Be careful what you wish for America. I apologize for venting but not for my opinion. I believe we can settle our differences by compromising, but not compromising our values, no matter where we get them. I negotiated MLK day as a Holiday before it became a National Holiday in IN but would not compromise my right as a teacher to negotiate my contract. I always reminded my teachers that fringe benefits were part of their income yet not taxable. Thus they got more bang for the buck. I always made sure there was enough money in the budget to help other staff members get their share as well. I was even asked to help those other staff members to negotiate for them. Jesus loved a prostitute, but did not condone prostitution. I unconditionally loved my gay cousin in the 50's , even though I did not agree with his homosexuality. Wake up America we are being divided and conquered. We are doing exactly what Nikita Khrushchev predicted.

What, I am amazed that people are outraged that a group of old white men cannot be experts on women's health care. These men can probably espouse for hours on talking snakes and virgin births. After all wasn't it some uppity woman that got a man like them kicked out of Eden. I can just see theirr acceptance when their pregnant daughters comes home and tell them "The angel of the Lord knocked me up and I will give virgin birth." Yes sir give me that old time religion. It was good enough for Galileo and it's good enough for me!
Ladies, I strongly suggest that you pay close attention to Santorum and Romney, because these two are not joking about what they are going to do to you. Think about soon-to-be-recalled Scott Walker, he told everybody what he was going to do, either they didn't understand what he meant, or they thought it wouldn't affect them, now the entire state is up in arms trying to get rid of him because now they know that he meant every word that he said. Santorum said, when I'm elected president I will make contraceptives illegal everywhere, he doesn't care about the health benefits for women. At the republican congressional hearing about contraceptives, women who tried to speak were told that their testimony is irrevelant. Equal pay for equal work, got NO votes from republicans. Ladies, you are not the only ones being targetted by republicans because President Obama is spending too much money trying to help the poor and middle class, money the republicans need to give the rich another tax break. If President Obama loses his reelection bid, what Scott Walker wants to do in Wisc. will be implemented all around the country and then the poor will suffer and the middle class will cease to exist. This might sound like a doomsday senario, but look at the way republicans across the board has been acting, and the angry things they have been saying about President Obama because he is dead set against giving the rich another tax break. People, if you want to see America, the land that we love go to waste, vote republican.

I'm 65 and that was a standard joke back in the 1960's..... my Jewish roommates in college always said it.. but said Jewish girls... my other roommate from Puerto Rico always used PR girls... me... Santorum's chief backer makes a joke alluding to (loose) women and contraceptives - poor taste.
On the other hand, every statement like this just opens the eyes of more women to the seriousness of the effort to eliminate the availability of contraceptives to women.
I have another idea for keeping your legs shut....how about strapping down their d*cks.
And this is about limiting availability of contraceptives to women and treating women as though they are not adults.It's a growing trend among certain groups and Foster Friess is just another one in a growing list.
