It seems to be the case that having the Tea Party folk in Congress is only going to clog the system. It may be better to let Obama run wild with rubber stamp legislation, letting the more moderate Dems control how wild it gets. Then at least something gets done and we can see what works and what needs to be fixed. The way it is, nothing ever gets done and so we don't know what we can actually get away with and what we cannot.

It's an election year. Republicans can run, but they cannot save their hides if they keep attacking middle class interests. They are playing under the lights and Main Street is watching, not just Wall Street and lobbyists.

Please stop this nonsense about drug testing folks who recieve "Government Benefits". Social Secutity is a government benefit, so is the GI Bill, and let's not overlook those of us who are Honorably Discharged Disabled Veterans who recieve Service Connected government benefits.

If that does not end the debate then please look at what happend in Florida when they drug tested welfare recipients. Since only 2% of the folks on welfare tested positive for drugs, the test cost 5 times more than the money that was saved from denying government benefits to those who tested positive. In other words, not a dime was saved and in fact the cost of the programs were increased by the millions of dollars wasted on testing everyone.

I suspect the same might be true if you want to drug test everyone who recieves "government benefits" including Social Security, GI Bill and VA government benefit recipients.

The government wastes enough money on foolish things...please stop pushing this one...

I'm really tired of Republican posturing. They blame the Democrats for the economy, and the deficit. Yet they fight virtually everything the Democrats propose, no matter what economists say. If they had any real ideas, they lost them many years ago.

The gov should lay off 1/2 the emp's., and cut the budget by 1/2, then, cut our tax rate by 1/2. There should be NO tax increase as if the gov ballances the budget in a REALISTIC fashion they would have the money they need.Try putting a life time cap on food stamps and welfare at 1 year max per person as that would force the lazy bottom feeders to get a job even if they got to relocate to work the fields.

Well when the doctors are not paid for services in the current case for any chronic conditions treatments in the manor they (Secy of Health or Obama) determine in whole or part , the Doctor QUIT MEDICARE OR MEDICAID FOR THIS chronic treatment . E.g., for arthritic knees the Medicare will not approve of Knee replacement operation for people over a certain age , and then they too will not approve of any modalities such as ulrtasoud other than drugs including pain killers for this arthritis . Get it if it costs money for a chronic condition then they will not approve it . It get a lot worse than this . E.g. there is now a limit on modalities one will receive if they have a terminal condition , so that if you want some medical necessity over a certain price Medicare or Obama and his Secy says we will not cover it . Die and get it over with so the US can save money on your suffering . The point is you are forced into this situation unless you are rich you will die in suffering because you will be bankrupted by Hitler Obama , and your suffering is not going to picked up by your family either . Look if the USA want to give 800 million to Egypt , let them build power plant partially owned by the US in Egypt with US employees similar to the the Chinese give money to other countries , but then the US porkers will not be in favor of this because of their payoff .
