NBC's Garrett Haake confirms that Donald Trump will endorse GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney in Las Vegas later today.
Updated 2:54 p.m.
Donald Trump will endorse Mitt Romney in Las Vegas this afternoon. Upon arriving at the venue for the press conference, Trump was asked about the reasons for his decision to back Romney.
"I think his general attitude but the last two debates were very impressive. I really thought he did really well plus he’s the one person who speaks strongly about China because China is ripping off this country like nobody is ripping this country," Trump told reporters in Las Vegas. "I thought he did very well in the debates, that was very important ... I think if he debates that well, I don't think Obama will fare well against him."
Trump said the Romney organization had indicated their interest in Trump getting on the campaign trail on Romney's behalf.
Earlier, several news organizations – including Politico, the New York Times, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution – reported that the reality television star would endorse Newt Gingrich.
Trump said he tried twice on Wednesday to get in touch with Gingrich, but had no luck in connecting.

Great!
This is just what Willard needs!
Another white rich guy with a squirrel living on his head who is not concered about the very poor! lol
Obama – Biden 2012…the next step in the continuing destruction of America.
For Obama its like a nightmare that you can't wake up from...
Keep in mind Rasmussen has been the most accurate polling organization out there!
In another indication of the difficulty President Obama's reelection campaign faces, only 36 percent of likely voters grade the administration's handling of the economy at good or excellent, according to a new Rasmussen poll.
In a national survey of 1,000 likely voters January 31-February 1, a whopping 62 percent grade the president at fair to poor, with poor collecting the largest number: 45 percent.
Still, Democratic officials say that they see a positive trend built on slightly better unemployment and housing numbers that could end up helping Obama in his reelection.
"We just need six more months," said a top Democratic official.
The polling data, however, shows big problems with men, middle-age and senior voters and Independents.
Just consider those likely voters who grade the president poor on his handling of the economy. Majorities in the Rasmussen poll include men (53 percent), voters aged 40-49 (55 percent), seniors (53 percent), whites (50 percent), non-black minorities (57 percent).
Independents and others not affiliated with the GOP or Democratic Party are also down on the president with 45 percent giving him a poor grade on the economy.
Anyone else notice the timing of this?
The "Donalds' new season of Celebrity Apprentice is debuting in the next week or so...
He's a publicity whore who plays the MSM like a finely tuned violin!
Obama/Biden - (D) = Drive - (R) = reverse!
"We just need six more months," said a top Democratic official.
Too bad this Democrat Official didn't see the CBO report that states that the unemployment rate will be heading back toward 9% in the coming months.
Everybody happy with gas prices being at $3.70 a gallon in February. Two years ago as the failure was taking office it was jsut about half that price.
It's February people. Any guesses what it will be like come August?
Wake up America we are on the Titanic with a CLUELESS captain at the helm!
oops!!! another one that msnbg got wrong. all of those intelligent pundits on morning joe saying that Trump would back Gingrich. they have absolutely no credibility. Quite frankly, that is the real clown show.
Good for Trump. My cleaning lady likes Romney too! She has as much political creds as Trump has.
Why do we care what he thinks? And why does the media fall all over this guy?
Aw Feisty, I think it was the wonderful rendition of America the Beautiful that swayed Donald Dumpster towards Mitts. Not to mention that the Donald thinks crooner capitalist and crony capitalist are interchangeable.
Rob.
LOL!!! No they are not. They are one of the most consistent outliers.
You opinion about Rasmussen is the result of the conservative game of telephone.
Rasmussen did come the closest to predicting the percentage of the vote in the 2008 election right before election day.
That morfed into that ridiculous statement you just repeated.
IJS.
Rightwingnuts are so quick to change the topic of the article rather than address the crazies in their own party. Desperation at its best.
Obama/Biden 2012
Well this will be something stellar to run with.
Poor Mitt, he's not having a very good week.
Now you poke a joke "crooner capitalist" which is a reasonable pun. Now explain to me when Newt Gingrich pokes fun at the President for singing and calls him "Entertainer in Chief" how that is racist.
This accusation has become so prevalent, the cries of racism, that it would take less time if you tell me what isn't racist.
Rob in MA:
I'm a little slow on the up-take. Please connect the dots for me. What does the rise in gas prices have to do with who is the President? If I recall, rising gas prices has always been a concern.
SNL couldn't write this any better. The Donald and the Willard together at last. I wonder when the Willard will start asking for the Presidents birth certificate.
I never said Entertainer in Chief was a racist slur. Sorry, but I can't help you out there.
Rob.
You are clueless, and delusional.
The current average for regular is $3.45.
When Obama took office, the average was around $1.75. However, the only reason they were so low was because the economy had just crashed.
Gas prices for July of 2008 (also the highest recorded average for the U.S.): $4.11
Gas prices at the begining of October 2008: around $3.50.
The reality is the only reason gas prices were so low when Obama took office is because of the recession. Prior to the crash in September of 2008, gas prices were hitting record highs.
So next time, do a little research before showing everyone how clueless you are. IJS.
Gee...hedge fund managers buying into the oil and gasoline contracts...big oil making more and more record profits...
What's the matter, Rob, don't you like capitalism?
You mean a rich guy is endorsing the rich guy? I'm shocked.
....arise Sir Mitt and taketh the reins of the Tea Party and marcheth to the Capitol City of our great empire and defeateth that Democratic usurper and restoreth unfettered capitalism upon the land. I shall be at thine side and expecteth thou will remembereth me when called upon.
Ask Jimmy Carter if gas prices matter? Also, ask him if excuses like yours worked out well for him?
Barack Obama "the buck stops elsewhere" President
Trump's endoresment is about as good as Sarah's. It's the kiss of death.
Trump? Who cares what that blow hard has to say.
President's energy policy has no effect on cost of energy, huh?
Cutting off the US #1 producing area doesn't effect energy prices (moratorium in Gulf) ..... the implementation of Cap and Trade by executive fiat ..... doesn't effect prices?
QE 1, QE 2, QE .... "Quantitative Easing", flooding the markets with hundreds of billions doesn't de-value the dollar, raising the price of energy ... and food ... and everything else?
Once he gets the GOTP nomination all sown up.
Trump likes to fire people too - Romney's perfect for him.
Obama is not behind actually, Obama got $ 500,000 checks from many of his 1% millionaires and billionaires friends supporters, that help him to reach $ 80,000,000 reelection campaign chest. The same people he target his class warfare rhetoric.
bob-180584,
So what do you think would happen if we started bombing Iran like the GOP's Leaders are wanting?
Gas prices are a huge problem for Obama. $3.80 for regular here now, can't wait for summer prices.
But hey, Obama did open the strategic reserve a few months ago, and that almost help for a whole day. Wonder what he's gonna do this time.
And yes bob, the fun QE1 and QE2 have really helped purchase power.
But hey - keystone, opening up the outer bank and ANWR - naa, we are totally good.
Plus have you checked out the price of bacon?
It's all about the bread/peace index. Obama is toast.
And speaking of toast - anyone know what Holder is up to today?
I guess it got too quiet on the TrumpFrump front -- his endorsement means nothing as he'd mount anything if it meant his name was in the headlines.
As it stands now, I guess I'll have to vote for Romney because I don't want to vote for Obama. I am already very leary of Romney due to his blind following of some guy from 1860s who wanted to boink another woman, so he said God told him he could. (Sorry Mormons, not drinking caffeine doesn't atone for your decsecration of the Bible). But let me scream to Romney's campaign that aligning him with Donald Trump does not increase my chance of voting for your candidate. I dislike Trump more than Gingrich. It would be better strategy to have Trump endorse Gingrich if you want votes outside of the idiot New Yorkers who idolize Trump because he gets himself on TV regularly.
Of COURSE Trump is going to endorse Romney!
Gingrich and Obama think rich people should pay taxes.
..wonder when the Willard will start asking for the Presidents birth certificate
Mitt won't have to a judge in Georgia is already hearing testimony. In fact, Obama and his lawyer already ignored a subpoena.
Imagine if Obama isn't allowed to be on the ballot down there? That would be pretty funny.
I suggest the judge issue a bench warrant. Nobody's above the law, right?
I wonder how Trump decided to pick which candidate to endorse? A hair test? A ratings test?
Donald Trump talked like Ron Paul but look who he backs and you see the real Donald Trump
Bob, you know that we're drilling more in the gulf than ever before, right? Remember when cap and trade was GOP idea? Between you and Rob in MA, who conveniently forgets how high gas was 6 months before Obama took office AND the record profits big oil posted for years during the Bush admin while Bush/Cheney destabilized the ME oil fields, it's like a tiny, whiny, little circus in here today. If you GOTea shills could get just one story right without lying through your little brown teeth, I'd be amazed.
Oh gosh, the Republicans will most likely be going crazy the Evening of November 6, 2012, when the President win re-election.
Munchcant,
Funny thing happened in "July 2008" when prices peaked at $4.11 ..... Bush went to Congress on July 18th to push opening / to lift bans on off-shore drilling.
That is the reason prices started dropping as the economy sank and unemployment actually took off.
That is the reason production is still OK despite Obama's policies .... THE PRODUCTION WE HAVE TODAY IS THE PRODUCTION BUSH PUT IN THE PIPELINE!
Obama has emptied the Gulf pipeline and other sources such as natural gas, shale, tar sands have exploded despite Obama's best efforts to curb them.
Prices are highest ever for this time of year and it will be a complete fluke of this is not a big issue in November.
Btw .....
Yea ... might want to take your own advice next time.
Gas prices are rising even though US consumption is down due to better MPG vehicles, our refineries are exporting gas because they were running under full capacity to supply the US. You get that, we are exporting gasoline, and that is why prices are rising for US consumers. Fuel is a world commodity, and a finite resource, the price can not do anything but go up, no matter who is in the Oval Office.
Rob - really? You still think the whole birth certificate thing should have credence? You truly are clueless, and no amount of documentation that the President would supply would ever be enough for you and your ilk to let it go. That, or it's on to his grades - yet I bet you were all enraged when people dared question W's AWOL status, which might have had an actual bearing on his fitness to be Commander in Chief. You all really do need to get a life....
Obama 2012...can't wait to vote....
Yeah Forrest - too bad the EPA cause the refinery in the Virgin Islands to shut down.
That really ought to help the situation, right?
But what wuld happen if Obama said right now he was opening up ANWAR, the outer bank and going to do everything he could to get more oil production?
1. every greenie's head would explode;
2. the price per barrel would immediately drop.
It matters a lot Forrest. Everything he does makes the cost of gas go up. Remember - "the price of energy will necessarily skyrocket."
He's doing a bang up job. But we are cool - they sold 603 Volts last month, so there is that.
That, or it's on to his grades - yet I bet you were all enraged when people dared question W's AWOL status, which might have had an actual bearing on his fitness to be Commander in Chief. You all really do need to get a life....
yeah, I kind of remember certain documents being called "fake but accurate"
hmmmmm.....
Nessa . Obama is already in the WH and nothing change. 67 % agree , WE ARE GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION we need someone that understand economy not a community organizer learning economy.
they sold 603 Volt last month
Spanky $ 10,000 in subsidy a peace $ 6'030,000 to help an overpriced car
LOL...so the great Orange Combover waited to see who the front runner was and then comes out to endorse him, huh? Congratulations, Willard...you just wrapped up the narcissitic lunatic vote.
Combined with Chu's statement that they need to get prices to $8.00 a gallon .....
Combined with the fact the globull warming crap has been exposed as a hoax ...
Combined with the fact that we now know the UNITED STATES HAS THE GREATEST NATURAL ENERGY RESERVES ON THE PLANET ... WE ARE ENERGY INDEPENDENT FOR 100S OF YEARS ....
And if gas is @ $5.00 .... and America is pissed ..... those ads alone will sink Obama.
Hey Feisty!
Maybe 'The Donald' wants to be on someone's ticket as V-P and Newt turned him down first?
An endorsement from Trump could mean a net-negative in votes.
A quick-learning well educated lawyer with a great staff and empathy for people "trumps" a Trump-like corporate raider that "doesn't worry about the very poor"... any day of the week.
Being an investment broker has NOTHING to do with running our country or having a better understanding of our economy... and Romney's absolute sell-out to supply-siders and big-money is a good indication of his LACK of understanding AND empathy.
We're not so forgetful that we're ready for another Bush already... are we?
Spanky - gas (ethanol) in Iowa is only $3.29.
Love that bacon, the local market has their store brand marked down to $1.99/lb. Nice to have a freezer!
Looking forward to see what summer gas prices will be, but my wallet won't be.
Who really cares what Trump thinks? He got rich by being born rich. He's not some great business man. He has bankrupted casinos, which are basically licenses to print money. He is nothing more than a shameless self-promoter who, for some reason, is admired by a LOT of very ignorant people.
@ The Spankster
"Gas prices are a huge problem for Obama. $3.80 for regular here now, can't wait for summer prices".
Wassa matter Spank doncha wanna pay for America's approach to the Iran nuclear issue? Waaaa Waaa! Betcha 10 grand ya don't? Batcha 10 grand you don't have 10 grand!
Gotta love the 2 pusses Trump and Romney though! They want to send our kids off to war while they enjoy the "fruits" of their "job creating" labor!
No Spanky it would not make a difference, there is no shortage of oil, refineries in the US are running at full bore, that is how they run them, the US is not in short supply we are selling the surplus abroad, we don't burn oil we burn gasoline, find all the oil you want the oil companies control the manufacture of gasoline and will sell it to the highest bidder. No matter how much oil is found it is a finite resource, there is what there is, and the whole world wants it, the oil companies control the flow of all the fuels made from raw oil, it is not a perishable product so even a huge find will never substantially lower the price, they just proved that an increase in supply will not drive US prices down. 603 people decided last month to be less dependent on an fuel source that will never do anything but rise in price. Electricity is where it is at Spanky you don't have to dig it out of the ground and ship it and refine it, we can make all we want anywhere we want and never have to be dependent on foreign sources. We better start building some electrical power plants and address our grid issues because if you think a fuel shortage would be a problem for Americans an electricity shortage would be mayhem. You turn off our TV's and air conditioners and we will be looking to kick some body's ass right quick!
The price of oil is what the market will bear. Since 2008 the US dollar has fared well against all major currencies. Most major economies are printing scads of money.
Rob, Bob please take a deep breath or you end up blowing a gasket.
The price of gas and oil is set by the market which is called capitalism.
Where I have a problem is the oil reserves are owned by the people of the United States and we lease it to big oil, and with Exxon making 9 Billion profit in the last quarter, we need to renegotiate these leases to the advantage of the American people - and stop giving our resources away, so we can pay thru the ass to get it back.
The Keystone pipeline has nothing to do with the current or imediate future of the price of gas - the "tar sand" oil was never meant for the US market - otherwise why send it to a sea port to be refined? when there are idle refineries closer.
I don't care who "Mittens and Babes" gets to endorse them, their still going to lose the general election. And I really hope the teahadist scum get thrown out also.
You know, it isn't really news until it happens....the fact that they had to construct an entire article on speculation and whispered rumors, polling data (no matter how respectable and accurate in past) should give you all some idea about the believability of the media. Instead of waiting for the event to occur, interviewing those involved, or attending their press conference and reporting the facts, these guys are busy dreaming up long range scenerios from a few whispered speculations.
If the Endorsement is Romney - the only two people Trump helps is Romney and Obama.
If the Endorsement is Gingrich - the only two people Trump helps is Gingrich and Obama.
If he Endorses one of these two, he is subscribing to the concept of "Electability". He has dumped on these two constantly, but less so Gingrich.
Meanwhile, Santorum is climbing in the polls and only behind Romney by 1 point vs Obama. I don't think Trump knows this yet, but you never know about Trump. If he does, there may be a real surprise coming.
It is too early for him to enter the race as an independent. So he is endorsing someone. For all the way he decided on people in the apprentice, you wonder why he wouldn't go for Santorum. I think Trump might say Ron Paul is ridiculous.
All we know is he is endorsing someone, and the Gingrich campaign is denying it, unless they cannot say.
Ideology,
I am afraid your knowledge and common sense will not be appreciated. Name calling and blame game seems to be the socially acceptable way to communicate.
Forrest - isn't it amazing how these nut jobs never discuss a point, all they ever do is plug a talking point. What, pray tell, does the subsidy of, and the sales volume of, the Chevy Volt have to do with the current price of gasoline? Answer - absolutely NOTHING.
I keep waiting for these Strawmen to get brains, but I guess it won't happen until the Twelfth of Never.
Booby.
LOL!!!! You will use any rationalization in order to preserve the delusional reality you were fed, huh?
Wow. Funny how gas prices didn't fall until after the stock market crash.....which was the real reason for the drop.
Your drilling crap is purely anecdotal, as is most of the crap you use in weak attempts to support the drivel you are consistently fed. I could just as easily say the drop was due to the rock I put in my front yard in September of 2008. There is absolutel nothing to support your rationalization. Zip. Nada. Nothing.
You could, for once, provide something, however. (But I'm not holding my breath...)
More from the willfully delusional Booby. You just make crap up, huh? As long as you are able to preserve you little fantasy land. Wow.
Some facts, kid:

----------------------------
Yea....I always research before talking about an issue. You, not so much, obviously.
Seriously. Stop trying to preserve the spoon fed delusional reality you are so desperately trying to hold onto, jr.
You just look stupid.
Booby.
A hoax purpetrated by 98%+ of climate scientists. The motive......(insert conspiracy).
Dumb, dee, dee, dumb, dumb, dumb....wow.
Trump to Endorse Romney
Why not? They both like firing people.........
What a surprise--Trump waits to see who the obvious nominee is and then endorses him.
For once Booby posted something that is accurate....sort of.
While it is true that the U.S. has the most total reserves of Fossil Fuels, which include coal, oil, and natural gas, we have far more natural gas and coal then we do oil reserves. Our oil reserves are 19.1 billions of barrels. Saudi Arabi (at the top) has 262.4 billions of barrels. Total world reserves: 1,354.2 billions of barrels. According to the study.
Because Booby is really just parroting what he was fed, he did not and could not post the acutal study, for he never read it. For all who are interested:

Spanker.
You are delusional...again.
Production in this country has gone up under this president.
Do you ever research ANYTHING? Wow. No wonder you entire political reality is little more then an extention of the spoon fed leftover crap from the 2008 campaign.
Dumb, dee, dee, dumb, dumb, dumb...

What ever it takes to get Obama out is cool with me.....
Mitt or Newt don't have what it takes bigben.
Fiesty, do you do anything besides hawkishly watch politically charged stories on msnbc in order to spew your liberal rhetoric? I swear every post about politics you are always the first to respond. Is the reason for your liberal bias possibly because you are sitting at home on unemployment and/or welfare with nothing better to do?
In addition, you constantly resort to name calling of people and/or political parties that don't agree with your point of view. You consistently provide no value whatsoever and I will always mark your posts as such.
Mittens and Deranged Donald are nothing more than goofball magnets. Mittens is autistic and shows signs of tourettes syndrome and Donald is a bankrupt aging loser who knows he's lost what ever mojo he thinks he ever had. It really is very comical.
Can't wait for Mitten's next gaffe. They get better and better. Another nail in the coffin.
really? who cares what this guy thinks? he doesn't share a single thing with the average american. why would any of us care how he feels? it was obvious who the rich guy would lean, is it really a surprise to anyone? he is just a rich whore, who loves to jerk off rich white politicians, in hopes they might jerk him off afterwards.. its just how the game is played.. wake up sheep!
power to the people
Brian,
Am I supposed to be troubled by your threat?
Is so, here's a hint, it ain't working! ;o)
Please resume thinking you know anything about me! lol
If I were Romney I would be calling Trump and BEGGING him NOT to endorse me. Romney already has a massive problem with appealing to anybody who isn't filthy rich ("I'm not concerned about very poor people", "I enjoy being able to fire people", "I'm unemployed too"). Romney is already out of touch with normal people, the last thing he needs is a person endorsing him like Trump, a person who is not only out of touch with normal people, but out of touch with reality.
It would appear that the people who do not like Feisty cannot live without her. Makes me think that they dislike themselves even more.
Even if she was at home just waiting for that perfect story she wouldn't be first as often as she is. Can you say INSIDER. Or maybe she is just as sitting at home waiting for that perfect story. Either way doesn't matter to me, I think she helps the case for Republicans more then she helps Obama.
In addition, you constantly resort to name calling of people and/or political parties that don't agree with your point of view. You consistently provide no value whatsoever and I will always mark your posts as such. I wouldn't get upset about it, let people see her writings. You will never see her commenting on a story like the House panel investigation into Holder. No, to tough to defend democrats, much easier to attack Republicans. I like Feisty leading the way every story with her cheap, low level comments, it's like coffee in the morning for me. Always good for a laugh.... (D=drive R=reverse)
I am sure that Mitt does not mean what he is saying .. about firing peoleple and not beng concerned about the poor -- but that is the imprression he just keeps making -- reenforcing the negative image he now has -- but the fact that he can not seem to get his own "sh%^t together' and contol what comes out of his own mouth only shows why he is really not qulitified to be President of the United States. making money for yourself and a small group of friends and investors is not the same thing as running a countey. Neither He or trump can "fire" the people who don't do what they tell them too (the American people). I am not "in-love' with Obama -- but compared to anyone else running right now -- who do not have a clue and onyl want to go back to doing the same things that caused out country's probems -- it is not a hard decision to just go ahead and re-elect him. he is not perfect .. but at least he has some ideas and is in touch with reality -- not just in more ways to make the rich richer.
There was no threat made. I simply stated that you provide nothing constructive to a commentary section hence why your comments are always collapsed by the community. Also, in no way am I upset by your comments or rhetoric as some others may be inclined to believe. I was simply providing my own opinion which you can take as you will.
And for the record (before you decide to label me as a 'reblicant' or whatever lame, childish term you come up with), I am neither republican or democrat. Quite frankly, neither party has it right nor will they ever get it right. The truth is they don't care about getting it right. We live in a democratic republic (not a democracy) without true representation.
Mental Munchcant,
Sorry so late getting back to you ... most people realize when they have been wacked and I guess I gave you credit for having more intelligence than you have.
I could counter line by line such as ..... Actually it was no rationalization. I gave you the actual date that was the beginning of a new course actions / policy that dropped the price of gas. I could point out your inconsistencies / ignorance on commodity futures pricing .... (such as the price of gas dropped because of the "stock market crash" but the price of other commodities didn't, huh?)
But I'm bored ... it is above your level anyway ... so let me just ask you ....
What has Obama actually done to increase production like Bush did? Instead of me citing what Bush did, instead of me citing everything he has done to crush production and raise the price .... Name one thing Obama has done to promote / expand fossil production?
Obama has stated he wants the price to "necessarily skyrocket", he wants to raise the price of fossil energy to justy his clean energy agenda, he has taken big steps to accomplish this ..... why he would support drilling until / unless it becomes politically necessary / expedient?
Answer: to fool the fools and tools.
Thanks for demonstrating the point.
First of all, oil prices are NOT under the purview of the President.....you need to blame the high prices on speculators in the commodities markets. They are the ones that set the price of gas to the consumer.
To DB Akron....Trump was on "Meet the Press" last Sunday and he told Schiffer that if his candidate didn't win the Republican nomination, he was going to jump in as an "independent" candidate. He said he gave up the run for the presidency because it would have meant giving up his TV show (heaven forbid that he should give up such a boring and inane show), but "after May, I'll be an independent agent" and he stated he could jump in as an independent. Let's hope that's true because if a third party jumps in, especially on the Republica side ....that means it dilutes the Republican votes and makes President Obama a shoo-in (which he already is). It should be interesting to see how that plays out...
Correlating gas prices up and down with where the economy is at that moment in time is really not understanding crude trading. Oil Prices are based on a futures market, not what's happening today, but what will happen in the future. Supply and demand affects the markets, and not just supply and demand in the US but worldwide. The US has less than 5% of the world's population but we currently use 1/4th of the world’s oil and China & India are catching up. When you cease drilling in the US, supply goes down, prices go up. In 2008 when prices were at 4+, President Bush announced opening up more leases to drill and the price shot down the next day. All this President has to do is announce he's opening up the Canadian pipeline and oil prices would shoot down because traders would look at future supplies, which would increase.
EPA has made it virtually impossible to build any new refineries in this country, therefore you can drill baby drill, but if you can't refine it as fast as its coming out of the ground then the prices will not go down. To many emission requirements in various states, thus slowing the refining process. Thus again we go back to supply vs demand.
The price of gasoline also includes the taxes, the cost to refine oil into gasoline, the transportation costs, and the profit of the gasoline dealer. Now considering that gasoline price are high then the transportation cost are even higher. (Of course if a certain President would allow the Canadian Pipeline to open up we wouldn't have to pay so much in transportation costs)
Another major reason, the decline in our dollar which has declined more than 40% in the last 7 yrs. All thanks to DC spending that they can't seem to get under control. Spending which has doubled since Pres Obama took office.
Weather, another reason, Hurricane Katrina & Rita in the Gulf knocking out several refineries. Flooding on the MS River halting transportation and supplies to northern regions. Oil spill by BP and Obama suspending drilling. The economy whether it is a recession/depression/or booming has really nothing to do with the prices at the tank. They have been up or down under all scenarios.
Actually, Brian,
I think you would get a lot more respect around here when you stop with the Brian & Feisty show. You are not going to catch her, and she is never going to stop you, SO WHAT IS THE POINT!
As far as the gas price discussion,
When you all figure out that production, and the price of a barrel of oil in the world market has nothing to do with the price of gas at the pump, you will be much better off.
It was predicted well over two years ago that a barrel of oil would be up close to $100 while the price at the pump would be falling. this has been going on for 6 months now.
It is said to be one of the indicators of the coming worldwide economic crash, along with the fed keeping interest rates artificially low, but, that is a discussion for another day.
So MSNBC opens this article up to discussion so fiesty and her minions can spew (notice the first post again) while they dont open up the article titled "why obama may keep his job even if you lose yours". MSNBC doesnt even attempt to be fair. They simple want to put up nonsense that fiesty and the like can comment on to increase traffic so they can take in higher advertisement fees.
It does relate, for if it is costly going in, it is going to be costly when it gets to you. Speculators have been a problem and always will be especially when silly politicians and environmentalist find creative ways to limit discovery, transport, and production of energy. I.E. the high price they get should eliminate people with the boot on other peoples necks - if people are bright enough to recognize who that is.
Who gives a rat's a$$ who Trump endorses? Like he means something...
So about this off-topic discussion of oil/gas prices. All the lefties insist has nothing to do with the president. Funny, I recall everyone blaming Bush when the prices got so high a few summers ago. But I'm sure there's some excellent reason why that was DIFFERENT.
golly gee 'cant - perhaps you can tell us when obama changed his tune?
Read more at the Washington Examiner: http://washingtonexaminer.com/op-eds/2009/04/obama-s-plan-necessarily-skyrockets-energy-bills#ixzz1lH6aI5qq
Nice try at misdirection junior...
Romney was probably quicker to hand over his long-form birth certificate than Gingrich. And Trump won't have to worry about financing Romney's campaign - it was a sound business decision.
Ursula----Trump and Romney actually have a lot in common---they both enjoy firing people. Perhaps they will also discuss their hair products (surely Trump uses somethiing to make his hair look that way).
Steeler, somehow I don't think they've been sharing hairdo tips...though Trump could use a few!
....wouldn't you just like to creep up behind him and tussle his hair? I'm betting you would either cut your hand as it's made of wire or it would fall off and run away.
Ideology says that Romney may be Mexicanadian. :)
That's funny Steeler. It seems Jerry Brown is about to lower the boom and fire a whole bunch of people.
Seems like being able to fire people is an important skill now days.
Being broke sucks, or so it would appear.
But at least Brown doesn't need to worry about hair products, right?
awww come on Spank are you jealous of Moonbeams do? It sure is shiny!
Naa, devie, just trying not to miss out on the Junior high school mentality around here.
You libbies really seems to like talking about how people look. Well, if they are GOP that is.
So devie - how many people is Brown about to ax?
I don't live in CA So I don't really have any personally knowledge about what is going on with Gov. Brown -- but there is a big difference between having to lay off people to keep a State runnnnig (especially if there is some kind of law in place that require such action) and firing people to make more (tax free) money for yourself.
Rob in MA,
You are such a hack, the price of gasoline 6 months before he took office was over $4 a gallon. The price of oil and gas went down along with everything else in the great recession. This just in the president has nothing to do with the price of gas. Its that damned supply and demand thing.
I don't know? Surprise me.
Riddle me this Spanky, How many jobs did people lose when Bain Capital liquidate the companies they worked for?
[Being broke sucks]
...yeabut...
...yeabut...
...yeabut...Gingrich (your choice for president, I might add) wants to build a "moonbase"...
Soooo, just how much are YOU willing to contribute to Noots moonbase junior?
Damn!, doesn't Mitt know He has enough problems already?
Trump is no Dummy, he is not wealthy because of his hair and does not bet on a looser. Maybe Romney should pick Newt as his running mate. That would assure his election over Obamama. The total ticket would have no weakness or inexperience.
While I have no love for Donald Trump he's an intelligent and successful businessman.
Newt gets Sarah Palin and Howard Cain. Romney gets Donald Trump. I know who I'll be voting for.
I'd rather see Romney choose someone like Condi Rice for VP. She's intelligent and would be an asset to the White House. And she has 2 qualities that liberals consider important. She's a woman, and she's black.
Why is this 'news' - who cares who Donald Trump endorses? I bet Newt feels even more foolish for entertaining the so-called 'Trump Debate' that crashed and burned!
'The Donald' wanted to be on the Republican ticket as V-P, and it looks as if Newt turned him down first.
Well that's what every respectable politician wants - an endorsement from off his rocker Trump! Does it get any better???? (I hear he is considering yet another bankruptcy!)
Yeah, Our Country's.
Our country picked up the tab for his last several bankruptcies, devie. He's got no reason to fear he won't make a little $$$ off another one. Oh the patriotism of the rw millionaire heroes!
The choice of Romney is about being human, but that should be enough warning to those who presumed that Trump would make a good president.
No one "pick ups the tab" on bankruptcy. The only people that lose are the people whose actually owed the money. I would think you people would like it, since most likely it's all those "TERRIBLE CORPORATIONS" you all hate so much. You know, the ones that employ most of you.
and how do the people that lose recoup those losses, oomy? By passing on the cost to the rest of us.
Now THATS an endorsement to be proud of!!! I heard David Cassidy (yes-Partridge Family and yes a conservative) say he was embarressed by the Republican nominees. That is the first time I have heard a Republican say something I agree with. What happened? If I was a Republican I would be angry! Surely ya'll could have come up with someone -anyone-who would be an asset to your party instead of these buffoons........
WHO REALLY CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
T.Rump just likes the attention....no one really cares what he thinks
The Tea People seem to find him credible, jagsgrl. Of course, they liked Mrs. Palin too...
First McCain then Trump. Who is next, Marie Antoinette?
Thanks so much for the Far Left's compassionate concern about the Republican Party.
You were really um, worried the Party was splitting apart, and that we couldnt put up a united front aginst the incumbent failure of a President.
Well, arent you relieved? It looks like the GOP will be united and ready to kick Obama and his far left cohorts in the Congress, the hell out of Washington, come November.
I heard Greta Van Susteren is endorsing Newt, and then she is going to propose to him. Hannity was heartbroken over the possible engagement.
...but Newton is already married.
Oh, wait, you're right, that's never stopped him before.
...wonder if Hannity recalls it was a black man who made Gretta von lackofsubstance famous.
Greta knows she will be secretly voting for Obama...just like most republicans...
Hey T-Bone22,
Way better choices on MSNBC????? Lets look at that... Rachael Maddow, Can anyone say, "most sarcastic dike on TV... Ed Chase "The Ginger Liberal" Did you know that sperm banks no longer accept donations from red headed people.. It is the least desirable trate one could have..
Another story all but ignored by the Obama poodle MSNBC:
CNN: After years of bridge building with the Catholic Church, the Obama administration may have damaged some of the good will it built up with the nation's 70 million Catholics, which could have steep consequences at the polls in November.
Some rank and file Catholics are beginning to express the same frustrations as clergy about a new U.S. Department of Health and Human Services policy requiring all employers, including religious ones, to pay for FDA-approved contraceptives, such as the birth control pill and Plan B, through health insurance plans. Churches are exempt but hospitals and schools with religious affiliations must comply. The new policy goes into effect August 1, 2012, but religious groups who oppose contraception have been given a yearlong extension to enforce the policy.
"What's offensive is that we're being told, our Catholic institutions which serve this nation well, are being told you who find these things offensive, you should pay for them, in fact you must pay for them," Cardinal Donald Wuerl, the archbishop of Washington, told CNN.
Is Trump Catholic? Could be...
Obama not only turns his back on the Jews now he sticks his finger in the face of the Catholics.
And hey how about those Occupiers in Providence throwing condoms at Catholic School Girls?
They must of been those damned greedy 1%er Catholic School Girls!
Isn't it up to individual Catholics to refrain from using birth control, if that is church doctrine, not the secular world for making it available?
Awww, those poor girls might be psychologically damaged for LIFE.
Actually, that sounds like a completely bs story made up by some idiot on the net, ...Bob.
Bob, that troll outfit you are wearing looks about worn out. You should consider purchasing a new one. The knees have worn clean through, and there is a hole in the seat.
Most Catholics, around 70 percent, actually practice some form of birth control, including the use of contraceptives. Priests are so pious about that issue, but then they take a vow of chastity.
Bob - oh yes because EVERYONE who is Catholic listens to what the Church thinks!! Are you kidding me??? Most Catholics don't care one way or another what the Church says - they cheat on their wives; they use birth control; they marry more than once; etc. The Church doesn't have much pull anymore.
The GOP is truly a party of embarrassment! First Palin, then McDonald, Bachmann, Trump, Gingrich, Romeny. What a sad, pathetic group. What a sad failing of a once great party.
Yeah...no, they totally missed this one.
www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46224545
You obviously never attended "Father McFeeley's Private Pat & Chat".
Easy fix. Let the Catholic institutions close its doors and let the government take over. They can buy up or take over all the hospitals, etc. There. Everyone happy? We don't want religion in our government, and it seems that the church does not want to be told to change the tenants of its faith (Whatever happened to the whole church/state thing?).
Amy: As I understand it, the ire of the Catholics is due to the fact that they will be forced to PAY for making contraception available, thereby implicitly supporting the idea...not that they are forced to USE it.
HadEnough,
Catholic bashing/bias is acceptable in the USA.
@Sane Control you don't read much do you? Several sources if you cared to look but here is just one.
http://www.lifesite.net/news/occupy-wall-street-protesters-throw-condoms-drown-out-speakers-at-rhode-is
@ Phine you could also add Christian bashing is acceptable to your statement as well.
I'm starting to feel like _______— (fill in any group) bashing is all that gets done any more!
@ Phine if only it were that easy. I shudder at government run hospitals. Ever visited a VA hospital lately? I have and it is absolutely atrocious the care our veterans are getting.
ksw,
I have been to a VA hospital. It is terrible. I keep thinking they are like an old black and white movie from the 30's
I am just waiting for the "kick the Catholics out" like they do with the Muslims. Sad.
The Communist News Network seeks to belittle President Obama and I don't believe a word that is written from them when it comes to the President. Lies, Lies, and more lies, all in an effort to hurt his Presidency. Another Republican Tool at work.
the ire of the Catholics is due to the fact that they will be forced to PAY for making contraception available
Pay for making contraceptives available? That makes it sounds like the Catholic hospitals will be forced to hand out condoms.
I think what the Catholic priests are objecting to is having to offer health insurance that covers contraception. It seems to me the "good Catholics" could simply refrain from using that benefit.
Amy,
They are forcing the Catholic institution to pay for the insurance coverage that covers that - which is a completely against the tenants of their faith. It is a slippery slope to start down on when you start telling religions what they have to do.
And this whole bit of polls and surveys, just because other folks do it doesn't make it right. You either believe in the tenants of your particular faith or you don't. If you don't like the rules (tenants) of the church you are in - go to another faith.
The Catholic Church can stop whining about following public policy when they start paying their property taxes and stop getting special favorable treatment in other areas. As far as Obama being the perpetrator of a war on religion or "turning his back on the jews" -divisive and untrue. Just more political BS.
anaxgnosis,
Yeah! Let's kick all those Catholics out! We don't want their kind in OUR country! Matter of fact, let's get rid of them Jews and Muslims too! (Funny religions - all three of them) Not OUR kind of people!
It is obvious that most Catholics do not agree with their church else they would all be running around with a boatload of kids a la Santorum
I agree, Ideology. I just worry that the government is starting down a slippery slope of imposing its values on religion. Personally, I don't like the fact that Christmas and Easter are federal holidays. They are Christian holidays and discriminate against those of other faiths.
(I am also being witchy. Just my mood today. I am in a stick up for the underdog mode.)
Phine, when I was in school, Jewish and Islamic kids got their holidays off as well as the Christian holidays.
I don't know how it works today, but when I was in school and my daughter was in school, the children of other faiths could be off, but it was considered an absence and held against their school record. And, it seemed there would always be one teacher who had something to say about it!
Phine
You will let all of us know when the Catholic church becomes an underdog won't you.
@ Ideo Canadians get off pretty much all holidays.....LOL I am sometimes jealous of my Canadian counterparts for the number of holidays they have.
phinephancy: The word is "tenets" not "tenants," which are people who live in rented homes.....
Wait until they start going after the all the protestants out there!
ksw62118
The same amount as you do.
Trump, a political creature created by the news. His only qualifications are he's rich, flamboyant and has a TV show.
William - and no class - you forgot - no class!
Every turd needs a punch bowl !
Why not endorse Newt Gingrich?
He already got all the crackpot endorsements
Is Trump really relevant?
Mitt says, "No thanks-you're fired!"
LOL...way to go out on a limb Donnie!
Newt...Romney...Newt...Romney....MSNBC and the media is just beside itself over this......
So the rich guy with the wig is supporting the rich guy with plastic hair. I'm SO surprised.
At least until the rich guy with the wig decides to run as an independent against the rich guy with plastic hair.
I hear that for the season finale they are going to see who can eat the most horse penises in 1 hour. I think Gnute will win THAT round.
Well, the good news is... lots of rich people will spend lots of money, and that is good for the economy.
So right ! An elite supports an elite, that will resonate with the poor statement by Mitt Romney yesterday?
One thing for sure, Mitt doesn't need to learn from Donald how to say, "you're fired." Because, Mitt did it quick well at Bain Capital where he took over companies and fired workers, reduce their wages, shipped jobs oversea to make quick profit for himself and his elites friends.
Which is why we should elect him. He knows how to analyze, make sound decisions and come up with answers. Not borrow, spend and tax like our idiot in office does now. I guess you endorse Obama's authorizing 1/2 billion $$$ to Solyndra which had NO chance at making it. Shows how smart he is. I'll take someone that can look at a problem and say dumping more and more into it won't work, get rid of it, cut your losses and move on. I guess liberals think it's smart to not downsize, decrease spending and actually know what a sound business decision means.
hey brewski - Mitt proffitted from Solyndra
so what's your point about smarts ?
brewzky23 / KMC
By the way, GOP cut tax for super rich like Mitt by borrow China $700 billion dollars a year? Do you think this good for the country deficit?
Mitt knows how to analysis his 13.9% tax cut and his wealth that he create on the back of American for sure.
Brian, seriously? I can't even read your post, but I think I get your point. Do you understand economics at all. Can you imagine if they raise the capital gains tax so no one will invest in various corporations in this country? Just think what that will do to the economy. Don't you think we should be trying to encourage people to invest and not dissuade them? If everyone just hoarded their money or invested overseas, what would happen here? And if Mitt profited from Solyndra, that is pretty smart.
Brewzky: Along the same line, how about the $2 trillion that your GOP President Bush spent on a war that was unnecessary, or the $1T that he spent on a pharmacy program for seniors that never materialized because there was no money!! Much like your comment about President Obama, you could really say the very same thing about ex-President Bush, couldn't you? Oh, I forgot, the GOP has put blinders on when it comes to that period!
Didi: It's 2012 in case you didn't know. What did Obama spend $4 trillion on in 3 years? And quit with the blame game as it's really worn itself thin. And you can say the same about Bush, about Clinton, about Carter, and on and on. What does any of that have to do about his performance, or lack thereof in 3 years? It's time to give someone else a chance and in 4 years hopefully we're on the right track; if not we'll elect someone else. If you extrapolate the past 3 years out over the next 5 it's scary.
Every GOPer praises Ronnie but leave out the fact that he raised taxes on capital gains and the economy didn't tank.
Don't wreck it... I was DVRing it. Totally on pins and needles. Just kidding... who cares.
I never blamed a President for my unemployment. I've seen companies close, go into bankruptcy, merge, I've been fired, laid off and not once did I blame the President.
I was shrewd enough to lose my employment under Bush, so I could blame Obama. Unfortunately, I am weighed down with personal integrity and am a Christian that pays attention to what Jesus said, instead of using him as a Get Out Of Hell FREEE! card.
BOB1887910-You are aware that a New York Time poll reported that 90% of the Catholics in this country believe someone could use contraceptives and still be a good Catholic. And a Harris Poll said 90% of U.S. Catholics support the use of birth control, right (I didn't think so), so lets see, that would make them...........what's the word.......HYPOCRITES? Somehow I suspect you are in that same group. Does anyone really care what Cardinal Donald Wuerl says (he is too busy protecting child molesters!)
As far as splitting apart, that's a foregone conclusion. We Democrats are lovin it, watchin a bunch of idiots beat themselves to a pulp. Ha Ha Ha Ha
Hugh: I agree that the "rank and file" of the Catholic church have an entirely different attitude about birth control than the leadership. That doesn't make them hypocrites, it means they can think for themselves. The furor being expressed (by the leadership) represents a phenomenon that is well known in our government as well...What the leaders say and do does not always represent what the people want.
If you do not agree with the tenants of your faith - change your faith! This isn't a cafeteria or Chinese restaurant that you can choose a little here and a little there. The old line of "well everyone else does it" didn't work when my daughter was young, and it doesn't work with me now.
You are talking about a faith that has been around for 2000 years. Just because you don't like their tenants of faith, wanting them to be more secular doesn't make it right.
Hugh: I figure the more money the Republicans spend campaigning for the Republican nomination; the less money they'll have to fight against President Obama....also, they're basically doing his work for him. They're tearing each other apart....doing a much better job than President Obama could probably do!! It's just too funny.....and if Trump jumps in as an independent, he'll just split the vote for the Republicans. If he's chosen as a VP candidate....they will surely lose (much like McCain after he chose Palin to run with him).
'Cirque du Trump' to endorse Myth Romney?
Why is Myth Romney trying so hard to give Barack Obama a 2nd Term?
Any group that is actually against contraception should not be considered smart enough to have its opinion noted for the historic record. They really shouldn't be aloud to vote either.
@Doug that is a real liberal gem of a statement. You are saying people shouldn't be allowed to vote based on their beliefs.
LOL... gotta love that tolerance of others who are different than you.
Wow Doug,
Once you had to be a property owning white male who owned property to be allowed to vote. We fixed that.
Now, in 2012, if it were up to you, they would check to see if prospective voters are packing a condum before they are allowed into the voting booth.
It's the hair thing and desire to sneak into the 1% niche. Romney's gluing on his hair comment was all Trump needed. His comb-over is a canopy over a void space. Is he sure Romney wasn't born in Mexico? When will Romney show us his birth certificate, which is probably a well done fake?
Is anyone surprised? More importantly, does anyone care? Probably paid a 15% tax rate like Mitt did.
For all of you completely ignorant liberals posting and showing just how ignorant you are; you and Mitt are in the exact same capital gains tax bracket, so please quit with your childish rhetoric that Mitt is somehow getting something you can't. He has paid 35% on all earned income for years and years; and due to his being well educated, smart and a great businessman can enjoy the benefits all Americans get when they risk their own money and make an investment. The Obama class warfare b.s. act is wearing thin; and funny thing is, he earned over $1million last year, which puts him in his own demonized 1% class. I wish there were literacy tests before people are allowed to vote. If you think Obama has one tenth the practical, business acumen as Romney you're blind. I'm not saying Romney is the answer, but Obama had his turn and failed miserably. Let's give Mitt a chance, if he does well great, if not we'll try out someone new in four years.
I am not begrudging his success, but I would like to point out that Daddy Romney's money back Mitt's endeavors, not his own.
Why is that a bad thing, as he surely did not just sit on "daddy's" money. He's well educated, smart and has done quite well based off of his own ideas and decisions. It's amazing that Obama's first real job is POTUS. How is that not scary and it has definitely shown, as he has been a complete and utter failure. And all of his campaign speeches, starting the the State of the Union he always says what he knows people want to hear and does a complete 180 after he gets their votes. Can't take another 4 years of him. Let's give someone with a practical business background, who understands politics a shot. If after 4 years we don't like the results, give someone else a try. We already know what 4 more years with Obama will yield.
Hey Brewsky
Make stuff up much? Watch and listen to the drug crazed Rush much? To say this is the President's first real job is a misstatement at best and an outright lie at worst.
If the President and the former Governor were in the same room the President would, by a significant margin, be the smartest man in the room.
Given the hand he was given by the previous administration the President may ultimate be considered one of the bests president ever to hold the office.
You need to get a grip!
I'll agree to disagree. Please give us a description of his practical private sector jobs. I don't listen to any far right or left shows; at best Piers Morgan. And how do you just throw out there that Obama would be the smartest man in the room; based on what? And please, please quit with the Obama blame game. He has been a complete and utter failure and we need someone new to give it a try. If it doesn't work, we'll try again in 4 years. I know you listened to his campaign speech, I mean the state of the union when he said he wants to GROW government and tax the rich to create government jobs. How is that going to help anything?
Just the fact that he chose Biden as his VP made me wonder about his thinking.
Obamas chill towards fossil fuels is a turnoff. He needs to be fired and replaced. Then we need term limits to get rid of the losers in washington.(both partys)
The whole Iran thing makes me nervous.
Term limits; not allowing politicians to do things the public can not. Making them participate in Obamacare, as of now they're all exempt, and on and on. If convicted of a felony they should lose all benefits, as of now they still get them for life.
Brewzky - For the record, I'm pretty far from being liberal on most issues and, quite frankly, I don't give a hoot in hell whether the income is from capital gains or from selling his wife as a whore on some street corner. The fact of the matter is the overwhelming majority of Americans cannot live off of capital gains alone and this underscores the fundamental unfairness of the overall tax structure.
Please explain to me why Mitt Romney cannot pay 35% on a $46M dollar income regardless of where the income stream came from? Please explain to me why Mitt Romney cannot survive on $30M after tax? You can't. I hold no disdain against anyone who makes more money than me, but I have a real problem when middle and lower income earners are getting bent over the accounting table and f*cked in the ass for 35%. Additionally, I'm a 6 figure salary earner with streams from both employment income and capital gains and I'm not getting any 15% tax rate on CGs.
Again, I don't care if someone make more than me, but the only people that should be getting any tax "breaks" are the very low income earners. All I ask is that the tax codes be applied FAIRLY and they are NOT at present. So defend Mitt Romney all you want, but I GUARANTEE you he will not do SH*T for the middle and lower class income earners...just like EVERY Republitard before him.
OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
Oil: Obviously you do hold people is disdain that have done well in life. You're right not many can survive on the investments that garner a 15% capital gains tax, but it's there for everyone. And I'm sure Romney can survive on less, just as I and many others can. I paid over $300,000 in taxes in 2011; I paid 15% on some investment returns, but 35% on earned income. Should I just offer to pay more? Why is it we're being villianized because we have done well in this world? Isn't our President's job to stimulate the economy, create jobs, and come up with solutions. Well, unfortunately Obama hasn't done this. I like everyone else wish he had. Let's give someone else a chance now, as 4 years is quite enough time.
If you do the math and tax the so-called rich more, raise the capital gains tax to 25%; it won't amount to a drop in the ocean in the overall scheme of things. It's merely a perception being pushed by the decomcrates to pit certain classes against each other to grab votes. Think about this; at Obama's current borrowing and spending rate, the interest alone on the trillions and counting will amount to more than the entire defense budget and medicare budgets combined. I think it's time to elect someone that has more practical real world experience. The lower classes don't pay much in $$ as it stands now, so lowering their taxes won't do too much either. I agree a fair flat tax on earned income, but you better not dissuade from people investing in this country or we'll have much bigger problems.
you bi**h about the tax rate Romney paid..But he paid what our Goverment required him to pay...NOT HIS FAULT. To change this we need to get the tax code changed and all the loop holes closed. I don't begruge anyone for having money, if they earned it or it came from their family. Someone worked their butt off for it. He paid 35% tax on it the first time and instead of stuffing his mattress with it, he turned around and invested it. So maybe he should pay more the 13 1/2%, but if you start taxing capital gains at 35% then why should anybody invest in anything? You think we are hurting now...
"Americas got Trump" would be a good reality show. Contestants could compete to see who is most full of themselves.
OH NO! another vulture supporting another vulture. ohhhh, scary!!!
they circle and circle until their pray can no longer defend themselves, and then descend one at a time, the largest first, the smallest last.
first they pluck out their eyes and slowly pick at the carcus, while horrible screams of the dying fill the air!
yes this is the republican party, or communist, or KKK, or self-annointed kings and queens, waiting to strip this country clean. they have blocked your ears and captured your eye sight, and now only the propaganda can be seen or heard.
they are removing rights one by one and turning brothers against brother in this internal civil war .
and when their feast is complete, the bones will lie in the scorched earth, and those who have survived so far will die from the poisonous water and tainted foods... and then the vultures will eat each other, the smallest ones first... you get the idea?
Why does someone's success anger so many people?
I wonder if Mitt can turn the endorsement down. Why would he want it? It probably hurts his image more than it helps?
I agree with one of the previous posts. Trumps decision to endorse someone has more to do with PR for his new season of Apprentice. Notice how you have two leaks indicating he's endorsing two different candidates.
Another rich white guy supports Romney and.... I keep hoping a good independent will show up in this race because so far no one in the race is going to help the middle class.
I guess it's better than another poor black guy who doesn't pay taxes and lives off OUR $$$.
That was pretty neat, brewzky23. Do you ever talk like that and take accountability for it, or are you hiding your face under a white sheet and hood as well as emulating your hero - beer? That's a pretty chicken@!$%# comment, boy. You should get a brain, or a drive-by, at the very least. Post under your real name, gutless coward.
Excellent post Warren !
brewski is just a ditto head
based off of your avatar, if it is actually you, which I doubt, you should be thanking me for sending you your monthly check. And if you were running for President, who would you rather endorse you; someone with a strong base or someone who doesn't work and lives off the system like yourself. I'm not condemning someone for being poor, black, white, etc..I'm merely stating that an endorsement from Trump will yield more votes than the alternative. So please, roll your cigs up under your tea shirt sleeve, hop on your Harley and ride off into the sunset. And if you do listen to the candidates speak and not just base your decisions on what others tell you, Romney's full plan is directed to help the middle class.
Let's all get along. This is the main reason we cannot accomplish anything with the mud-slinging that goes one in this country!
I second that. But when our President starts a class warfare for the mere purpose of getting re-elected; don't you think that somewhat perpetuates this type of posting and behavior?
How is this class warfare being defined? To say that the President or Democrats in general are waging class warfare by saying that the well-off should pay their fair share of taxes such as you and I is not a bad thing. I know that I am not rich nor wealthy by any means, but to say that "we" as ALL Americans do not have to be the same across the board as one country just is not right for this country.
Class warfare being defined as Obama pitting his 1%ers against the other 99% is terrible, and is only being done to win an election, as there are many more people in the 99% than the 1%. It's almost embarrassing that he's lowered his self to this level. I'm in the 35% tax bracket; how much more do you want? What's a good number? And will it amount to more than a drop in the ocean? NO, NO and NO. He has spent over 4 trillion in 3 years and based off his speech the other night wants to keep growing government and taxing the wealthy to support it. It can't happen, as the extra tax dollars won't dent the deficits he's running. It's merely a perception he's created to win reelection. Can I live on less, sure, but why should I have to, as I went to school, worked hard, started a company and now enjoy a very good living. But I'm to feel guilty and ashamed for my success now I guess. How about removing the poor, poor, pitiful me mantra and come up with solutions to help people become more self sufficient and contribute to the bottom line rather than live off of the bottom line?
I commend you on your succes. You obviously worked hard to achieve what you have in life and for that you are right, the country cannot rest on the well-off to bail us out. The only problem I have is that EVERYONE has to pay the fair amount, that is a start. As far as the over 4 trillion dollars being spent in 3 years, please know that over two thirds of that has been spent for the Department of Defense alone. Money is being spent in the military that does not, in my opinion only, help the whole. Billions of dollars go to big contractors. This was started due to the start of the two wars. Not enough money is being spent at the "ground level." Some of those trillions could be cut if there wasn't so much being spent on the Department of Defense.
Wouldn't you love to see the entire budget broken down into tiny categories. I promise someone with average intelligence could take a pen and start slashing programs and spending that we wouldn't miss. I think we over spend, or spend foolishly with the defense department, but I do not want it to be cut to where we are only a one war at a time nation, which is what Obama is proposing. That's a little scary in today's world.
