Discuss this post

Last night I watched Rock Center with Brian Williams (which is moving to Wednesday nights, BTW).

They did a little focus group of Florida voters and asked them who they plan to vote for in the general election. It's so frustrating to me when people say things like, the economy is slow in recovering, so I think I'll vote for the Republican.

Why? So they can reinstate the same policies that got us into the financial crisis in the first place? I've listened to several Republican debates now, and they all sound like Bush-era ideologues: cut taxes in order to grow jobs (uh, tried that.) Invade a middle eastern country to keep us safe (ditto.) Remove regulations because they kill jobs (hello? Gulf oil spill.) Some people just don't think.

I am a Florida resident, registered DEM and I will tell you now in January 2012 that in November I am voting for whoever is the REP nominee. The govt must stop the entitlements, stop the spending, balance the budget, it is pretty "interesting" stuff.

Buck Naked Sr_— That all sounds real good ..but anyone coming into this mess will be in the same position . We are going into the 12th year or so of the failed Bush Tax Relief to Millionaires. If it works where are the jobs ? The republicans have created this whole problem making their own friends even more wealthy . The rest of us lost our homes and investments because of the republican created housing crisis and bank failures .You can thank Mitt and Newt for their expert advise on these matters .See where their leadership has gotten us .

Buck Naked is lying. He is not a registered Democrat, all you have to do is read his post and you know he's a tea people GOP republican. I get so sick of these tea people trying to claim their a Democrat then spout all the tea people GOP republican talking points verbatim. We know all you tea people can do is lie, but do you have to be so obvious about it.

Brian Williams, who famously bowed to President Obama after a softball interview, said on NBC Nightly News that:

"The governor of Arizona with her finger in the face of the President of the United States. You don't see that often or maybe ever"...

Really? In 2006, Brian Williams didnt bow to Presdient Bush, rather he stood in his face and wagged his finger and used attack lines from a far left professor calling Bush an uncaring patrician.
    ...NBC is an Obama poodle.

Amy, you are correct. I really don't think Pres. Obama will have any trouble beating any of these candidates as it stands now. The more they air their dirty laundry, the more they look like fools. I'm sure people really don't want to go back to things as they were under Republicans. Everyone now is just frustrated, epecially the ones that have not found work yet. Things are starting to improve, maybe not as fast as people would like but improve none the less. I hope people will vote straight Democrat this election.

West Virginia is in the GOP column, already.

    "Things are starting to improve"

Slowest recovery form a recession in , what, 60 years?

And your hero Obama takes no responsibility for that, at all?
