FLORIDA: Politifact fact-checks some of the prominent attack lines in Florida's GOP primary.
The Tampa Bay Times: While Gov. Rick Scott remains generally unpopular, his months-long charm offensive and singular focus on jobs creation may be slowly winning Floridians over, according to a new Tampa Bay Times/Miami Herald/Bay News 9 poll. More than four in 10 Florida voters, 43 percent, approve of Scott's job performance a year into his first term; 47 percent disapprove; while 10 percent are not sure.
"The powerful political groups known as super PACs, whose heavy spending has become a significant factor in the presidential race, are also beginning to play a role in congressional races around the country," The Washington Post reports. "The groups have set off a scramble among candidates in both parties, who are now struggling to cope with a flood of negative ads run by organizations that are outside their direct control. Targets of super PAC money in recent months include at least two dozen pivotal House districts around the country, along with high-profile Senate races in states such as Massachusetts, Ohio, Utah and Indiana, according to Federal Election Commission data and interviews with political strategists."

Any body that believes Rick Scott is anything but a crook, is totally either misinformed or uneducated.
I take it Gov Scott is not threatening to close schools, if the legislature doesn't cut 65,000 elderly, sick, low income residents from Medicare, like our Teapublican governor is doing. Threatening to damage education, if people with Alzheimer's aren't kicked out of group homes, while touting your tax cuts for the wealthiest, may not the road to popularity one would think.
