Gingrich vows to go 'all the way to the convention'

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- With just three days to go until the Florida primary, Newt Gingrich told reporters Saturday he is in this presidential race for the long haul.

“I will go all the way to the convention. I expect to win the nomination,” Gingrich told reporters following an event outside the PGA Museum. “You just had two national polls that show me ahead. Why don’t you ask Gov. Romney what he will do if he loses since he is behind in both national polls?”

The former House speaker, who convincingly won the South Carolina primary, says he will get to the GOP convention in Tampa “state-by-state.” “If we win Florida, I will be the nominee,” he also noted to the couple hundred people in the crowd.

GOP rival Mitt Romney and Gingrich are fighting it out down in the Sunshine State this week – throwing jabs at each both on their own and with surrogates.

Romney continues to call Gingrich “Goldilocks” – making fun of him for complaining about the audience at debates. Gingrich reiterates his assertion that Romney lies because the campaign is desperate, telling reporters Saturday, “You cannot debate somebody who is dishonest.”

Surrogates from the Romney campaign stand in the back of most Gingrich events to give a “rebuttal” to the press. Saturday outside the golf museum, three members of Congress – Rep. Charlie Bass, R-N.H., Rep. Connie Mack, R-Fla., and Rep. Mary Bono Mack, R-Calif., – stood chatting when Gingrich campaign spokesman R.C. Hammond, for the third day in a row, approached the group and began asking questions.

Gingrich told reporters curious what he thought of the way his spokesman interacts with members of Congress that it is “a free country” and sees the Romney campaign sending supporters to his events as evidence of “desperation.”

“It's a slight overmatch – R.C.'s a little bit more informed than they are, but nonetheless, it's fine with me, he [Romney] can send as many members as he wants. When he gets tired we'll bring Toby back and Toby's agreed to help R.C. take a hit,” Gingrich said. [Toby is R.C. Hammond’s dog.]

One Romney surrogate, Rep. Bass, served with Gingrich in the House back in the '90s and said voters should listen to those who worked with the Speaker.

“He is a good guy but he is not going to be president of the United States,” Bass said. “He knows it, we know it, the people of Florida will know it next Tuesday.”

That's the funniest thing Newton has said in YEARS! Given his record as the guy MOST responsible for the current disgraceful lack of honesty and politics of personal destruction are we absolutely sure it wasn't a Gingrich impersonator?

John - the two don't tie together. Politics of personal destruction and lying are two different things. While Newt is a bulldog and he keeps hammering Romney over the head with things, Romney is acting desperate by calling Newt Goldilocks... how infantile is that? He reminds me of several of the liberal first read posters with those antics.

Why do you Republicans prefer a serial adulterer and professional flip flopper to a man who has
a real plan to bring government spending under control? Why do you prefer draft dodgers to a
man who actually served while married with kids? Why do you prefer worshipers of Big
Government to someone who will strive to give us our country back?

Why are you not voting for Ron Paul???

Jem,

Because they dont truly believe in the freedom and liberty that Ron Paul preaches. They only want corporate freedom, the personal freedom and liberty that Paul offers would get in the way of them implementing their world wide police state and forced one world religion.

I watched every GOP debate to date. I watched the Jacksonville debate live and have re-watched it twice more prior to posting my thoughts here. Fundamentally, I see the top two contenders as Romney and Gingrich ; with only Mitt Romney as the right choice; and here is why.

I have complete respect for Ron Paul. However, he comes across as a "Rambler"; he doesn't stay on point. The Obama Campaign would decimate Ron Paul as old, senile and "over the hill". I would hate to see that happen to Ron Paul. He is a fine Congressman, and has given much over the decades to this country. Additionally, the real issue with Ron Paul is he is two "Black and White"; this is not a racial issue. It is a monetary issue. Yes, America has huge problems that need to be addressed beginning with a 16+ Trillion Dollar National Debt. Ron Paul hasn't learned to pick his battles. Ron Paul would cut everything at once nationally and internationally to correct the issues. This would send shockwaves through the nation and our international allies depending on America's strength. Ron Paul's thoughts on changing Washington and protecting the Constitution are wonderful. My worry is he would try to change too much too fast; and do more harm than good.....No... Realistically, Ron Paul would make a wonderful Presidential Advisor; or even a strong Vice President to be used as an alternative/economic decision making force. But, Ron Paul is not the person to have the final Presidential decision making power.

Rick Santorum, where to begin... Rick Santorum is a candidate of integrity... I get that... Rick Santorum believes passionately in his platform. I get that... However, Rick Santorum is too "green" in the Political Arena still. Why? He can't control his emotions. Barack Obama would eat him for lunch in a debate, when Rick Santorum allowed his anger and frustration to get the best of him. Rick Santorum showed that frustrated lack of control in South Carolina, he showed that in Iowa, he showed that in New Hampshire and now, in Jacksonville, Florida debates. Rick Santorum came across angry and frustrated in the Jacksonville, FL.... Plain and Simple. This fact underscored his message. Rick Santorum doesn't have the political and financial campaign to take Barack Obama on and that would lead to an easy win by Barack Obama. I believe Rick Santorum needs a little more mentoring in the political arena and he will be a GOP force to be reckoned with in the future. But, this is not his time or his election. I believe prior primaries and the polls are showing that; he needs to stand back and bow out. This is not his fight anymore.

Newt Gingrich... I find him an oxymoron. I don't know which Newt to believe today. The other candidates were correct regarding Newt's platform. He does go to each state and tell the constituents there exactly what they want to hear to win votes. I've seen it in the media, in newspapers, in interviews, etc. This begs the question: What length and what promises would Newt Gingrich go to for the GOP Nomination and Presidency, and once secured would he make good on promises, or would we have another "empty promise Obama" on our hands? What I find most disturbing about Newt Gringrich is two things:

a) He made such a fuss regarding Romney releasing his tax returns, which effectively showed about 40% between income taxes paid and charitable donations. I can live with that... However, Newt Gringrich only released one year of his personal income tax return. He didn't release the two returns for his holdings companies, in which he is the main stockholder, owner. CNN has reported Newt Gingrich's combined wealth makes him much wealthier than Romney. Plus, Gingrich's campaign is bankrolled by Sheldon Adelson, the 8th Richest Man in the US, a Las Vegas Casino Magnate. How can Gingrich say is for the GOP working poor when his actions show he is the Gaming Industry's puppet?

b) Newt Gingrich talked about faith in God during the Jacksonville, Florida Debate. Doesn't faith in God also go to a man's integrity? Newt Gingrich has run a hideous under the table smear campaign on Mitt Romney's faith. Yes, I have family who live in South Carolina, Newt Gingrich talked Highway repair to the media and spread "faith poison" at his outdoor events. I find this double standard disquieting. Newt Gingrich was hitting South Carolina "Bible Thumper" fears to secure the win. This brings us back to Newt Gringrich's Integrity... This man has been married, what 3 times? Okay, a man makes mistakes; I don't hold that against him. What I find disconcerting is the fact, he had an affair for years with his then mistress Calista, told his ex-wife to deal with it or he would divorce her. No, Newt Gingrich didn't have an open marriage with his former wife, to have an open marriage both need to be having an affair. That is something only Newt Gingrich was doing with Calista. Newt Gingrich divorced his former wife, and married Calista. I am happy he has found a companion he can finally be content with. However, this whole scenario raises an integrity issue in my mind. If a man can't be trusted to respect the vows of marriage he took; how can Newt Gingrich be expected to hold the Oath of the Presidency with any degree of trust?

Overall, there is more to Newt Gingrich than meets the eye and it doesn't all appear to be good news. One must remember Newt was a politician, Washington Advisor/Lobbyist/what ever and Speaker of the House for what 30 years. Newt Gingrich is part of the Washington problem that the country faces today. He didn't always remain loyal to the GOP party and he was censored as Speaker of the House. It doesn't matter if he challenged that and overcame it; the fact his party had to do that in the first place speaks volumes... In recent years, Newt Gingrich has sided with Nancy Pelosi on Obama policies. It has been reported since the Iowa debates, that Nancy Pelosi has information on Newt Gingrich's years as speaker, which will be used as an "October Surprise" in the Obama Campaign if Newt wins the GOP nomination. However, what is most troubling is the Obama Campaign and Obama Supported PAC Campaign has been running Pro-Gingrich/Anti-Romney ads in Florida to assist Gingrich's campaign. I find these troubling two ways: the Democrats are attempting to manipulate the outcome of the GOP nomination in their favor; and, the Obama Campaign sees Romney as the larger threat to re-election plans... No, when everything is weighed and balanced. I couldn't sleep well at night with Newt Gingrich as the GOP Nominated Candidate or potential President.

This brings me to the final GOP Candidate... Mitt Romney... I've gone back and forth several times over this. However, I come back to one undeniable fact... Romney has Integrity... Something we are seriously lacking in Barack Obama. I have sat back and watched this man endure double standards that the other candidates haven't endured. I have watched this man attacked because of his faith, his hard work and earning a living, his integrity, etc. the list goes on. Mitt Romney has stood tall, with resolve and refused to "cow to pressure". I find that remarkable. On the issue of faith, Mitt Romney has shown more integrity than Barack Obama. Why? You want to know the difference between Obama and Romney. Romney has never hid from his beliefs, nor changed his beliefs to win elections. Romney has openly stated to the world "This is who I am, and what I believe"; now let's get back to work."

Obama on the other hand claims to be a "Christian"; however, his actions and foreign loans to Muslim nations speak quite differently. Obama openly announced to Egyptian Foreign Minister Gheiet in June 2010, that he was a practicing Muslim. This interview announcement was carried by many Middle East and European news media; it was just American News Media that downplayed and didn’t report these

JEM - Obama has a plan??

He has rhetoric with little follow through.

He creates commissions and then ignores them.

He waited until 2010 before he had sit downs with congressional minority leaders at the WH.

He believes that continueing resolutions are the way to finance government operations rather than getting an approved budget.

He creates and encourages legislation be written numbering hundreds or thousands of pages in length which will result in thousands of pages of new government regulations and potential government boondoggles.

He believes in diminishing anyone who may either prove his ideas in error or ill thought out.

etc, etc, etc...

About the only thing I would nominae Gingritch for, would be a one way ticket to the moon. He could sit up there on the lunar surface trying to flip flop around a bunch of moon rocks; and try to see if the rocks might be impressed by his political games....

I guess he could be less troublesome to the nation as a whole, there, rather then here on Earth.... We could even refer to the whole thing, as the first politician in space; leaving out the part where we wouldn't bring him back with the shuttle (or whatever they'd use now, that the shuttle is retired).

Part II- Continued (Ran out of space before... sorry folks)

Obama on the other hand claims to be a "Christian"; however, his actions and foreign loans to Muslim nations speak quite differently. Obama openly announced to Egyptian Foreign Minister Gheiet in June 2010, that he was a practicing Muslim. This interview announcement was carried by many Middle East and European news media; it was just American News Media that downplayed and didn’t report these statements by Obama. Personally, a Muslim President holds no terror for me. What I find reprehensible, is the lying to the nation and Obama's own Democratic Party members. Why? Being a Muslim wouldn't have won Obama the White House. Not after 9/11 and not after Saddam Hussein and Bin Laden. Anyone who thinks differently is kidding themselves or living in denial. What does this say about Obama's character?

Romney has been married to the same woman for what, 30-40 years. This proves Romney can finish what he starts. Washington is a mess and throwing a lifetime politician as Gingrich, back into the mix, won't change a thing. Sure, Mitt Romney made a few political mistakes along the way, which is the learning process. The difference between Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich... Mitt admits his mistakes, learned from them and moved on positively. We need a Leader that is strong; firm; ethical; faith based; understands how the economy works to get America back on the right track; fair minded and will honor our Constitution, the way the Constitution deserves to be honored; and isn't a lifelong Washington Bureaucracy Politician. Surprisingly, at the beginning of these debates, I thought Gingrich or Perry would be my choice. However, I now understand why the Obama Campaign and Democratic Party don't want a Presidential Debate "Showdown" with Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney is the one candidate that can call Obama out; and show Obama to be the "Smoke and Mirror" President that he is. Gringrich has too much baggage, Santorum is still too green, and Paul is just too all over the place. No, for Real Change in the GOP Party and the Presidency...

It's time to get behind Mitt Romney, folks!...

Ging rich would be out of the race except a man and his wife who have publicly stated he will support the country of Israel over the United States. Since Ging rich will owe his candidacy to him, I guess it means we will transfer a few more billions to Israel if Gin rich somehow wins. What a great investment. $10,000,000 in bribes gets, $20,000,000,000 in wealth transferred from the US to Israel. 200,000% return on investment

In fact, the interviews with the man, makes it seem more like he HATES the US. So the guy who keeps Gin rich in the race, hates the US. I guess that means if the economy of the US is destroyed because of another war started for the benefit of our ally (what BS), then he is a happy man.

Adelson said he wished he had served in the Israeli Army rather than the U.S. military—and that he hoped his young son would come back to Israel and “be a sniper for the IDF,” a reference to the Israel Defense Forces.(YouTube video of speech)

“I am not Israeli. The uniform that I wore in the military, unfortunately, was not an Israeli uniform. It was an American uniform, although my wife was in the IDF and one of my daughters was in the IDF ... our two little boys, one of whom will be bar mitzvahed tomorrow, hopefully he’ll come back-- his hobby is shooting -- and he’ll come back and be a sniper for the IDF,” Adelson said at the event.

Reality Check-Why are you conservatives so concerned about the religion of the president?? I mean, doesn't our Constitution protect freedom of religion. Does every president have to a Christian, god-fearing man??? I wouldn't mind an atheist or a Jew as president: if they keep religion out, then it's fine. And why can't Obama be a Muslim? What is so wrong about that??? Muslims are not all terrorists. I should know: I have Muslim friends. I find it weird how you cannot trust your own president on PRIVATE MATTERS. And for God's sake, there is NO proof that Obama is a Muslim. Name me a CREDIBLE source of info and I may believe you.

Ron Paul is a nice guy, but he has terrible policies. Cutting $1 trillion from the budget sounds good for deficit hawks, but where is that money gonna come from??? The defense budget is only $1 trillion, and the ENTIRE budget is $3.7 trillion. So where the hell are the cuts gonna come from??? Education, even though that will further decrease the quality of education in America??? Entitlements, even though they support millions of people and have kept poverty among seniors low??? Where is it gonna come from???? And pray tell that he's not gonna actually DECREASE taxes, because then he'd have to eliminate about ANOTHER $1 trillion from the budget every year. He's foreign policy makes some sense, like stop starting wars and such, but we have to be reasonable: we can't withdraw ALL of our troops from the world, but we can prioritize our resources. And I don't feel too kindly to letting gold companies control the value of the dollar. Nor do I trust the private sector to keep my water clean.

Mitt Romney may know about the private sector, but he knows NOTHING about the federal government. I mean, his tax plans will exacerbate our debt crisis. You don't cut taxes when you have a huge deficit: you RAISE them and cut spending to lower it. But Romney the "genius" wants to cut our way to the Dark Ages like Reagan, even though Reagan DOUBLED our debt and didn't have a FISCAL CRISIS. Fiscal conservatives my ass. And he acts as if the Democrats will be destroyed, which is quite unlikely. In fact, this is a crucial point in time for the GOP, who know wonder if America is willing to elect a Tea Party conservative to the White House and a conservative Congress. I think not.

Freshieee - I have no intention of getting into a debate. However, not all conservatives place the high priority on religion as some may think. I am a conservative, yet I am an Deist like the majority of the Founders. (Too bad most xtians are just like the sheep they claim to be... Easily mislead.) Enough said there...

Ron Paul... Terrible policies??? Since when is doing things by way of the actual 'Law of the Land' {The Constitution} terrible? As I posted on a different thread:

    ---------------------------

    Prediction:

If any of the individuals listed below get elected as President, we will be at war with Iran/Persia within 16 months of the elections close. China has stated, (12/03/11), that if that happens they would gladly start WWIII.

    Obama, Romney, Gingrich, Santorum.

(No rebuttal will be given. This is just a prediction from just keeping an eye toward the proverbial skies and instinct. I'll be watching as well.)

Four words: Washington's Vision - Third Peril

Someone made references to the various ideologies by stating:

The vulture capitalist (Robamaney), the open marriage (Naughty-Newty), the condom killer (Sanatorium), the wild (old) west (Dr. Who?), or the actual president (the Obamanation).

At least during the old west, government was small, justice was maintained, the people had control over their own lives and destinies, inventions and innovation were starting to flow from within, and the people of the world wanted to either be here or have their country be like the USA.

In life, sometimes you need to go backward a bit before you can proceed forwards. Being that the US is currently very much like ancient Rome was, (just before it FELL), haven't we gone backwards long enough?

Spiddas, thank you for the news. I myself am a Catholic with Deist principles. However, the Constitution is not a constant document that remains the same even after hundreds of years. The Constitution is an EVOLVING work, made so to adapt to contemporary society while maintaining its authority. The Constitution is 200 years old, and anyone who wants to follow a 200 year old document to the letter is insane. Things must evolve in order to survive, and so must the Constitution. In addition, why must we cut our way out of our problems??? Why can't we find a balance??? I admire Ron Paul's integrity and resolve, but he acts as if everyone in Congress will be with him, which won't happen. Why couldn't he offer to repeal the Bush tax cuts and then reform (not privatize) entitlements and THEN cut spending. He'd have at least $4.5 trillion out of the way, and he could probably cut about $2.5 trillion from spending, giving us $7 trillion in deficit reduction over 10 years?? And why can't he realize that America needs a strong central government in order to manage our huge nation??? If our government went back to 1850, we'd be finished as a nation. That, my friend, is a fact.

Oh and I find no reason to suspect that Obama will start a war with Iran or China. Now if Iran provokes us (highly unlikely, due to the fact that they would be attacked by EVERYONE), that is a different story. I personally don't want another war, but if Iran attacks us I see no other option.

Then you don't really know what you think you do regarding the Constitution... The "Living Document" philosophy didn't start until the Lincoln era, and that is where we got off track. If we look at the BoR, even 2036 years after it's inception, every last bit is still relevant to today. What was written to limit government is now used to justify it. I guess the tails been wagging the dog for so long that the dog has forgotten who is actually in charge. Remember, it's "We the People", and not "We the government".... Fiat currency, bloated federal government with equally bloated, unending regulations... Only three things left to say...

"The more numerous the laws, the more corrupt the government." -- Gaius Tacitus

"Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it." -- George Santayana

    "Bruce in Austin" said:

Ron Paul would turn sell the Army to Xe (formerly Blackwater) and have Wackenhut run your local sheriff's office. Fuggedaboutit! This is a democracy, and we will not remove our own voice from functions the government performs now. So-called "Libertarians" haven't the foggiest notion of what actual liberty is and my favorite example is a local VW Van with stickers proclaiming both "Vote Libertarian" and "Stop Wal-Mart!" (Wal-mart just built a location in our neighborhood, and many of the folks don't like it.) If Libertarians have their way, there will be no corporate controls, no zoning laws, and Wal-Mart will be able build a coal mine surrounding your home if they feel like it. Grow up and actually learn the Constitution, American history, and perhaps even finally realize what liberty really means - the opportunity to control your own destiny, which requires a societal element to stop others from abridging that freedom, i.e. the EPA, the Commerce Dept. etc. Really - for the sake of the country - grow up and pay attention. The forefathers made the Constitution a "loose" document, meant to be amended and interpreted in the context of the future - ya know, like right now. Following it word-for-word is like following the Bible word-for-word and believing it gives you the right to stone prostitutes to death. Join the 21st century and a big, complex world that has no patience for people with small, narrow minds.

Constitution should still be read as it was in 1776, it is not a living document that changes with the times.

Are you f*&#$ing kidding me?! You just lost all credibility. You're not worth any further wasting of my time. Get your head out of the Texas textbooks. I guess slavery should still be in full force then, and women still not have the right to vote. Why didn't we just crumple it up and throw it in the garbage as soon as we won the Revolution? You have a seriously messed up view of history.

Tea Baggers wrap themselves around the Constitution.

To them, they can accuse the entire universe as being somehow unconstitutional -- including God, if the Almighty whispered to them in a psychotic break that they might be wrong.

They voted for G.W. Bush who said the constitution is just a piece of paper. When you devalue it so much, it's no wonder you use that word so freely, so emotionally, and so arbitrarily, bereft of reason, to use it to accuse anyone of anything they don't like.

How much mileage do these clowns get out of it until their audience becomes so numb by its overuse that their listeners tune them out?

Wouldn't surprise me if Tea Baggers go around their home saying, my kitchen dishware is unconstitutional, my children are unconstitutional, my socks are unconstitutional, my bodily functions are unconstitutional!

And no one is allowed to be more American than them, eh? So if you're not 100 percent conservative enough, not redneck-white enough, not concealed-weapons-armed enough, and that means you're not American enough? So when is enough, enough, with these Tea Bagging Neo-Fascists, anyhow?

Complete and total nonsense. Where exactly did the Constitution become perfect, no longer capable of adaptation to meet the needs of a changing nation and world?

Was it immediately at ratification? (If so, then why did we need a Bill of Rights?)

Was it as soon as the first 10 amendments were ratified? (If so then we must not have needed to limit the federal courts from ruling on local and state matters.)

How about after the first 12? (Oops, guess we still have that sticky slavery issue to deal with.)

Maybe it was perfect once we had 14 amendments. (unless of course you weren't white, in which case it was still perfectly reasonable that you had no right to vote.)

Perhaps we had exactly the Constitution we needed in perpetuity after 18 amendments (too problems with that -- Prohibition was one of the worst ideas Republicans ever foisted upon us, and women STILL couldn't vote.)

Could it be that the Constitution was perfect once Prohibition was repealed with the 21st Amendment? (Apparently not, since the nation found it important to place term limits upon the Presidency.)

Then again maybe we should continue doing what we've done for over 220 years...modifying the Constitution when and where appropriate.

THANK YOU. Look, Spiddas. You and I may disagree a lot on the role of government in society, but can't we at least agree that the Constitution should not be taken word-for-word??? I mean, over the centuries Christianity (for example) has become more flexible as it adjusts to contemporary society. A few hundred years ago being a Christian meant going out with weapons and armor and fighting non-believers to "retake" the Holy Land. A few centuries ago Christians were supportive of slavery and thought that it was a God-given right. Up until a few decades ago some Christians felt it was appropriate to segregate church pews. Up until maybe the mid-20th century many people thought that it was appropriate for the white man to go to "uncivilized" places and to deliver them the Light that was God's Word, even if it included killing or torturing natives unwilling to leave the comfort of their own beliefs. All things must evolve or face extinction: face it. Unless we adapt our Constitution to contemporary society, the United States will collapse. That is bad for EVERYONE, not just for libertarians, or conservatives, or liberals, but ALL of America and maybe even the world. And all this just for maintaining a narrow interpretation. Being flexible has helped our nation grow into the world's economic powerhouse (still beating China), and we must be flexible in order to provide for our citizens.

Newt can't get the U.S. to go back to the moon in seven years if his Tea Party / Libertarian friends get their way and abolish NASA (along with the EPA, engineering regulations and industry codes, and most of the unifying federal government). Radically reducing tax revenues is also no way to pay for such a national venture.

"Nutty Newt" has so many mental health issues that he is NOT Presidential at all. His ethics violations were massive in the House, and "Nutty Newt" should have gone to jail. He is also a cheater to his past wives, and to the rest of his family. He cannot even be loyal to his wife, and to his family. How can he be loyal to the US Constitution, and the Office Of The Presidency Of The Unitied States. "Nutty Newt" is very intolerant of others, and is unqualified to be a President of all Americans. His "Food Stamp" references were used in the 1960's, and were used and are now being used by "Nutty Newt" to be ethnically divisionary. "Nutty Newt" comes off as a Confederate States Of America Politician. With his economic, polltical, social, cultural, and Foreign Policy views represented in or around 1860. "Nutty Newt" has many disturbing views of Child Labor Laws, and has a educational policy representing the South in or around 1855. "Nutty Newt" now wants to build a moon base! He thinks that the Earth is flat with his amount of the education he wants for others. Now is "Nutty Newt" going to want to build a Moonbase/Casino?? Maybe the Koch Brothers will supply the energy supply needed by building a toxic pipeline to the moon?? He has NO new or fair ideas to help create jobs. No new ideas to build a fair US Tax System. No new solutions to solve the ongoing and worsening housing crises. No new or fair ideas on trade policy, tarp policy, financial regulations, or fair financial regulations. "Nutty Newt" seems very mentally ill, and has some very troubling behavioral issues concerning his massive EGO. "Nutty Newt" has very strong connection to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae who was NOT being paid as an historian. "Nutty Newt" is the mean little GOP Clown traveling from GOP Circus Big Top to another. He had better consider the danger of the convention. Last year right wing Christian heretics prayed for rain in Denver for the President's acceptance speech. The Evening weather was perfect. The Republican Convention opening was greeted by a hurricane that disrupted the entire first day. Prayer works in mysterious ways, because God is not a pet.

I really believe that he has alot of good ideas, statements and much should be reviewed. However, Romney on the other hand is certainly not one I would ever pick. He is tooo phony and very weak to take on Obama. If Romney is it then for sure we are all tanked.

I like Rick, and Paul ..I enjoy them more.

What about , for Newt, "Two Ladies" from Cabaret? Anybody remember what follows after "twosies beats onesies, but... beats threes?"

Santorum is too boring to waste a song on.

Gingrich does not no the meaning of the word "quit". Unfortunately he does not know the meaning of the words "marriage vow", "truth" "modesty" or "honorable" either.

I hope he realizes that the only thing he is going to accomplish is to continue driving apart the GOP to the benefit of the idiot in the White House.

I think the guy in the WH is doing OK without these two. Personally I always liked some of Ron Paul's ideas and he has a more pleasant demeanor and hey sometimes there are surprizes and an underdog can win.

He would be a shoo-in as future commander in chief of the U.S. moon colony. Calista, as first lady of the moon colony, already has the fashionable and protective helmet hairdo!

Let´s say he wins the nomination. He goes against Obama. Do you think that hispanics, blacks, gays, middle and down income people, seniors, people in Medicaid or Medicare, people who desperately need a health insurance even so many republicans who dislike him or in other words just about 60 to 70 percent of the entire population, will vote for him? No way. So I hope he wins.

Remember 2000, 2004 and 2010. Consider that the average IQ is 100 with half above and half below. The question is, how much below 100 will voters need to be to elect another republican? It was 40% in 1932 and 46% in 2008.

That is easy ! The question is how much below 100 pt average IQ voters have to be to elect another republican ? Answer 45 pts. above because intelligent people vote for the GOP.

Would be interesting to see him against O'Bomber. Don't think it will happen though, he is going to get his " pee pee" spanked real good by Repub. establishment, never will get nomination. Last thing they want is him. His big motivator if nominated/elected, will be to even the score with the " club".

Republican intelligence – Bin Laden is responsible for blowing up the World Trade Center. Bin Laden is in Afghanistan. We start bombing Afghanistan. Bin Laden moves to Pakistan. We continue to bomb Afghanistan.

Saddam has weapons of mass destruction. We bomb Iraq killing a few hundred thousand people. We blow up their roads, water plants and power plants. Ooooooops, no weapons of mass destruction. We are really sorry about killing your spouse or children or parents etc etc. Actually, we are not sorry. All of the republican candidates except Ron Paul want to make the same mistake in Iran.

"Boss Hogg" Gingrich has the money backers to stay in the race. He has to. Otherwise this would have been boring. The more publicity the greater the involvement and emotion they can elicit from the Conservatives. When the real deal with President Obama occurs they will have maximized the hate and fear factors. Its the main reason they have had so many blithering "debates." Notice how the emotion has ramped up over time... how the lead swings... the drama builds... Come on people its just more Conservative manipulation.

Behind all this "public" activity are they buying some voting machines in Florida or Iowa? The real corporate "people" will throw their money into the fray at and after the convention. As Boss Hogg knows... this is just foreplay.

I doubt the conspiracy theory I have a freind that believes every conspiracy theory for a while until another pops up. Newton is a person who really believes in himself, he really does.
