Romney on State of the Union: Obama 'adopted a lot of thoughts' from my campaign

In an interview with NBC's Brian Williams after the State of the Union, former Massachusetts Governor and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney called some of President Obama's ideas "interesting" but his praise stopped there.

Poor Willard, he's is so obsessed with President Obama, the idiot can't structure a sentence wrought by a question on any given matter, without invoking the name of the President. Ask Willard the time of day and quaranteed Willard Mitt will in some weird way manage to accuse Mr. Obama of tinkering with the atomic clock so as to confuse the masses. Little does Willard know or understand he is his greatest enemy, not Leroy Newt, the republican party and certainty not Mr. Obama. His self deporting discertation during the last so-called debate only implores his ignorance. If one is stupid enough to resonate with Willard's doctrine those who commit crime would also be willing to turn them themselves into law enforcement authorities. Really? Check with any agency to determine the rate of self reporting of crimes committed.

      hazen,

just curious....you are calling Mitt Romney "Willard" , which is a name he doesn't use.

      Why is that?

If we kept using Hussein as a name for Obama instead of Barak or President etc..........you would be screaming all kinds of outrage at us !?

You don't have to answer because we KNOW the answer.

      neastsider,

I'll repeat, "If we kept using Hussein as a name for Obama instead of Barak or President etc..........you would be screaming all kinds of outrage at us !?"

At the same time, you Obama worshippers are using the name "Willard " instead of Mitt. Why call some one by a name he doesn't use?

I know you dont use a "teapot", but it must be that jug you keep your kool aid in that makes it so strong. lol

To be fair: Willard is Mitt Romney's actual first name. It's a bit troubling that Mitt decided to deny the name given him by his parents, but it is also pretty trivial to refer to Mitt by that name. It's enough to say that Mitt isn't his actual first name (making it clear that he deliberately is going by his middle name, something which some people may consider marginally important) and then go on from there calling him Mitt because it is the clearest way of identifying him.

There are so many legitimately horrible things to say about Mitt Romney... calling him by his first name is utterly unnecessary and truly pointless.

Willard is appropriate, because it's also another famous rat's name. Seems extremely clear, and pointed. I'll give you unnecessary.

Awww....Obama licked those ideas and now Romney can't use them any more--they have liberal cooties now!

But then, I don't recall the president borrowing the ideas to cut all capital gains taxes to zero, raise taxes on the rest of us to make up the deficit, and deregulate businesses so they can poison our air and water, and make toys the way the Chinese do.

It was fun to watch Romney try to dance around the idea that because Obama said some things were getting better that Republicans believed we were in a 'malaise'. Anybody but me remember who last used that word, and how well it worked out for him?

Having read this entire tread it is totally staggering to read just how uneducated those who say they support the GOP are. They appear to have no ability to even try to be fair in their comments. I absolutely hate those on the extremes of either party and I hope with all my heart that the people of this country give them their pink slip in the upcoming election. I am so bloody sick of them all. Ignorance allowed Hitler to rule and that where we're heading here, if we're not careful.

Little fun fact- most red states get subsidized by blue states.

But Romney proves that despite all the BS about tax rates, we have a very regressive system. Money buys influence and lower taxes are one net result. The same idiots that vote GOP also never read the bible.

Sorry tea nuts, Jesus wants you to take from the rich and give to the poor. You might be surprised what's in that Bible if you would quit letting the GOP spoon feed you your beliefs.

yes that's right. That's why Romney gives 15% to charity and the Obama's give 1%. ( we won't mention the Biden's, they are too cheap to even record it)

          Who's greedy now?

That's a lie. The Obamas gave about 14% to charity. Why are you lying about this?

Regardless, I think it is clear that Romney's utter disregard for the lives he destroyed by raiding American companies, and shipping American jobs overseas puts Mitt clearly in the greedy category.

The realization Romney had here is that, despite his own brainwashing by the Republican Party, he discovered that the Democrats actually do have a lot of good perspectives. Indeed, the only real difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Republicans are for egocentric greed and marginalization of non-Christians.

Quick, someone wet their finger and stick it in the air ... we need to determine which direction Mitt is leaning TODAY! Mitt, you're way past making ANY STATEMENTS of relative importance in this presidential campaign. Possibly you need to stick closer to Ron Paul, the "silent one". It's very important, Mitt, that you use your ears & mouth proportionately ... trust me on this one!

Obama's the one who's given 800+ speeches, repeating the same talking points over and over.

Too bad Obama doesn't actually work.

LEONA ... you and I need to get on some kind of a schedule. You give me YOUR schedule and I'll try my darndess not to be and visa versa. I honestly think your FRIENDS at Fox News are missing their village idiot. You might try visiting them more often.

But, you've been ranting the same comment over and over for the past week to my posts. Why not save yourself time (and everyone here), as well as some typing, and simply provide everyone a LINK to your first comment.

And as you continue to rant about PRESIDENT (yes he is YOUR PRESIDENT too ... repect the position if not the man), please include how HARD your ReThuglican Congress has worked for the American people this past year ... at doing ANYTHING other than stopping OUR President from doing his job. Come the end of 2012, IF (and its very unlikely), but IF President Obama is not re-elected, I promise I won't rant about the new Republican President with the same disrespect that many of your FRIENDS have been doing ALL YEAR LONG ... I promise!

            macNfries,

I realize the truth su@#$ but it's still the truth. While you are busy trying to feed the kool aid "spin" to the lemmings, I am actually learning the facts.

I don't work for Fox, but if you can pull some strings?........lol

Heck, I'll even work for Msnbc where the M stands for misleading ( but they won't have me because they hate the truth).

.....and , please don't feel forced to read what I post.

Whenever you see my name, just skip over it.

I certainly don't want to be responsible for ruining you kool aid fantasy.

Mac says Romney is a flip flopper, in response to which, an outraged Leona scathingly points out how consistent Obama is.

So if President Obama's ideas are the same as Willard's than maybe we should stick with the known comodity who is already in place and not upset the whole government with all the replacements eh, Willard?

How are things in Fantasy Land Willard?

Did anyone notice that during the STOU that both President Obama and Vice President Biden were wearing flag pins in their lapels. Speaker Boehner didn't have a flag pin. With all the hoopla back in '08 when candidate Obama didn't wear a flag pin one would think Hannity, Limbaugh and their ilk would be coming unglued just like in '08. Or could it simply be hypocrisy? Just asking.

Here he is on Nightly news saying "obama adopted my thoughts." Later that very afternoon he issues a press statement and follows up with a press conference saying Obama is in "Fantasyland" at appropriately Disneyland in Florida..

The best we can say is he wins the George Orwell Doublespeak Prize for this week! It must be tough speaking of of both sides of your mouth at the same time, but Romney manages to do it.

And it re-inforces the gut image that he has no core values and will say anything to win. And it's so obvious that even a child an understand.

There is no consistency or trust left for Romney. It's only Naked ambition.

Romney can't even string together a cogent sentence, how could Obama possibly "take" Romney's ideas. Mitt has handlers who tell him what to say (you can always tell when he's speaking on his own cause he screws up bigtime!).

Mitt-bot is so un-lifelike that when I watch him speak I wonder if he's real. His idea of reality is so far removed from the average Americans that I'm surprised anyone would vote for him.

Let's face it he's a rich kid - Richy Rich of the comics; born with a silver spoon in his mouth, doesn't work, just lives on his meager capital gains. Boo-hoo for the weatlthy elitist.

Suzq ... the reason you can't understand Romney is because all his sentences are oxymorons. Its like lighting a candle at BOTH ends because he feels it guarantees a better result for himself.

                  "there are shovel ready jobs"

                  "you can keep your doctor"

Claiming that the Prez is parroting him self puts him up there with Next already talking about his second term.

Romney has no chance if he gets the nomination. He's already grasping at straws, anything.

I bet if the prez's speach didn't get a 91% approval rating, Mitt would say that everything the prez said is opposite of him.

No one who's been riding in the clown car is going to get the nomination. They're purposely being allowed to slaughter each other as part of the circus act. When the first round of votes at the convention is inconclusive, Jeb Bush will be trotted out for the second round.
