TAMPLA, FL -- Michele Bachmann's campaign is denying the Minnesota congresswoman has either endorsed or ruled out supporting a candidate following the circulation of a fraudulent news release in South Carolina.
A release, which appears to show the Minnesota congresswoman denouncing Newt Gingrich two weeks after Bachmann ended her campaign, was distributed by email to voters in South Carolina yesterday.
The campaign's former communications director, Alice Stewart, issued this response: "The Bachmann for President campaign has not issued an official statement regarding an endorsement of any current candidate in the GOP race ahead of the South Carolina primary. Any information found to the contrary is inaccurate."
NBC News has obtained a copy of the release, which was printed on campaign letterhead and made to look like a news release sent on behalf of the candidate herself.
The release promises an endorsement in the "coming weeks," but notes, "through this exhaustive process of consideration, it was strikingly obvious that one candidate could not be less acceptable to be our Party's nominee."
Describing a candidate lacking "poise, experience and moral fibre," the release names Gingrich, calling him "desperately flawed."
If nothing else, the incident demonstrates that Bachmann's voice is valuable enough to counterfeit, and it marks the second time in a week that former top aides have complained her name is being misused.
On Friday, campaign manager Keith Nahigian directed a lawyer to ask South Carolina radio stations to take down an advertisement he said created the false impression she is endorsing the former House speaker.

Say, there were some mighty interesting poll numbers out today from the 'right wing rag' the NY Times. There have been some interesting reports on all the cash he has taken from the Bain entities/ his hiring of the Bain executive as OMB director.
Should be interesting to see what they come up with.

1. Bain is EVIL and we cannot accept money from EVIL; or
2. Bain is ok, we'll take their cash, and even hire a former executive as the director of the OMB.

And speaking of gross inconsistencies - just the other day you said you would never talk to or refer to me again. So were you just unusually upset? As I recall I was addressing the fact that you represent corporate defendants [i.e. the MAN] at a rate of $250 to $300 per hour. Not exactly a champoin of the OWS cause. In fact damn near Romney-like: gunning for hte cash.

That is not fair at all. You forgot about his program to buy people on welfare cars. Really. The attack Reagan used involving welfare recipients and Cadillacs, Mitt Romney actually mad it a law when he was Governor. And Republicans have no problem with this?
Remember the Willie Horton attacks? Guess who was Governor of Mass when the level of pardons of rapists and murderers was at its peak? Go ahead, guess. I'll give you a hint, it rhymes with Hitt Bomney.
"Gunning for the cash" may be the way YOU run YOUR life, but don't transfer your own guilt to me.
The other day, in fact, a client remarked that my work always exceeded his expectations, and yet always took less time than he thought it would. Not exactly the way to approach things if "gunning for cash" is your goal.
I gave that up a while back in favor of feeling good about what I do.

Face a fact Annie, you work for the same deal everyone else does, trying to make a buck for yourself, and hoping who you work for does the same so you can 1) Keep your job, 2) Get a raise, 3) Get a bonus, 4) Get promoted. To do so, who you work for has to increase market share (that's "raping and pillaging" in your vernacular), increase income, and decrease costs. Everyone does it, even you.
Bad news on that front Annie. Obama appears to be both. And Obama is blaming the press for his image. Imagine that, this man is the leader of the free world, but yet in his mind he is responsible for nothing. There is just something pathological about that.

It amazes me that people are so critical of Newt Gingrich when he is (in my opinion) the best qualified from an experience standpoint. Sure he has warts, who doesn't, but he actually has the experience we need to make changes in Washington. Look at his accomplishments in Washington during the "Regan Years" and he can truly say......"I've been there and done that".

The media feeding frenzy is eliminating Republican candidates with ease. Sex, Money, Racist issues, "incriminating" Tax information. No front runner has stood up to the relentless press. Newt will be slaughtered tonight over an interview with an Ex-Wife. Romney has money in the Caiman Islands, and by the way, did he lose in Iowa? Rick and Ron have been so far behind that until now the focus has not been on them, but by the week end we will be warned that Ron Paul has issues of Geritol addiction and is afflicted with E.D. Santorum will be associated with bombing abortion clinics and is just too weak on everything else. The Florida Primary is already looking for a way to write in Jeb Bush and Donald Trump. I, for one, long for the good old days when all we had to sort out was some hanging chads.
