Relishing in controversy, Gingrich cuts ad out of debate moment

No one can say that Newt Gingrich shies away from controversy. To the contrary, he seems to relish in it, to be emboldened by it.

He drew big applause from the South Carolina GOP crowd during his latest sparring with a moderator at last night's debate when talking about food stamps and children working as a janitors, which some have perceived as having racial overtones.

Now, he's made an ad out of it. His campaign cut down his response to 30 seconds, added music, and played up the applause.

Romney, Gingrich & Palin????? It doesn't matter who gets the republican nomination, there is such a republican"dis-connect" with mainstream America that there is NO EFFECTIVE republican alternative. Their party is multi-millionaire, hypocritical self-enriching cannibals.

Romney is buying his way in much like George W did on his father's coat tails, Gingrich is the epitome of hypocrisy, Palin should just shut the hell up. Every time she speaks she sounds dumber than ever . . . my God does anyone else see this?

Let the republicans eat themselves up. They are self-destructing before our very eyes. When a 3rd party does evolve it will be because of the republican dis-connect, you know it and any level headed individual knows this too. Good God!!!

who gives a damn: "their party (GOP) is multi-millionaire, hypocritcal self-enriching cannibals"

Who told you all that ? Van Jones, the communist ?

You know him, right ? He was a "green" czar for Obama until people found out he is a communist.

This is fun stuff to read, really. Here's what I see: if Europe crashes and\or the Iran situation gets out of control, Obama loses. If not, he wins. The rest is fluff.

People should realize that this election is crucial . We, as a country need to decide if we want the economy ( Capitalism thus far ) to be fueled by the private sector or the government.

        Read between the lines people.....

Democrat platform = " Let us make you Dependent on the Government."

Republican platform = "Everyone needs a JOB."

VULTURE CAPITALIST ROMNEY TOOK $4 MILLION IN GOV'T MONEY FOR HIMSELF.....

Having the money isn't nearly as important as how they got it....Romney got government bank bailout money...our tax money...to increase his personal fortune. Now, he tries to present himself as an anti-government spending candidate.

While at Bain, the consulting firm Romney was trying to save from the brink of bankruptcy, “was rescued with a federal bailout of $10 million’’ and Romney “made $4 million on this deal.’’

Romney basically negotiated about a $10 million reduction in the $38 million the firm owed the failed Bank of New England, which had been taken over by the FDIC, a federal agency funded by insurance premiums paid by banks. The $4 million bonus Romney's Bain Capital took represented interest the firm did not have to pay as a result of the loan forgiveness, the Boston Globe reported.

The new Republican "Contract with America"

"We'll create jobs for you and your children as janitors as long as you let us keep the Bush tax cuts for millionaires and let us raid the Treasury to bail out our banker and investment friends."

Mitt/Gingrich in 2012. We got ours, screw everybody else....

This is what I see on some sites here: The left hates Mitt because he's a very, very rich guy who speaks well. It isn't the speaking well part. They hate rich Republicans. But what is apparent here is they're scared to death of Newt. They're afraid Newt will get in Obama's face and stay there. Obama's no good 'off the cuff'. In a debate the tempo and cadence he relies on will fail him. The bumper sticker arguments will collapse. Mitt won't go for the throat. It's simply not his nature. Newt will. The left is terrified of that. You can smell it in the posts. Or, is that too racist?
