Fiesty, I rarely reply to your post because they have no value. However, I do have a suggest, shut off your TV, get out of your mother's basement, take a walk and get some fresh air. Get out and talk to real people and learn something or do something constructive. When you are ready for real serious political debate, let me know, if not don't even reply.
How about the spending of $Millions/Billions that is kept invisible and secret - thanks to GOP congressionals who voted twice to protect and prevent the disclosing the identity of Big corporations and transnationals - who are now buying up American elections and our Government?
GOP/Norquist twice voted in favor of untraceable, undisclosed $Millions/Billions in our elections.
Add Rick Santorum to the list of Republicans calling for Mitt Romney to release his tax returns....
"I don't know why he hasn't released his tax returns. I think he should," Santorum said in an interview Monday on the Laura Ingraham radio show. The former Pennsylvania senator added that it was important especially for "someone with [an] enormity of wealth," like Romney.
"Well, let's see how he manages his own economy," Santorum said.
BREAKING: Palin Urges Romney to Release Tax Returns, Provide Proof of 100,000 Jobs Created at Bain Capital
Former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has called for Gov. Mitt Romney to release his tax returns, as well as the data that could substantiate his claim of having created 100,000 jobs as CEO of Bain Capital.
Romney has resisted releasing his tax returns, and his campaign has thus far refused to provide the hard proof to back up his claims about Bain.
“Governor Romney has claimed to have created 100,000 jobs at Bain, and people are wanting to know: is there proof?” Palin told Sean Hannity on Fox News.
*snip*
Earlier this week, Big Government pointed out that Romney’s claim to have created 100,000 jobs contrasts with claims he made during his 1994 U.S. Senate campaign, when he claimed to have created 10,000 jobs at Bain. Romney retired from Bain Capital in 1999.
Palin said that Romney needed to come clean about his record, given the likelihood that Democrats would probe the tax issue and Romney’s tenure at Bain if he were to become the Republican nominee.
You are of course aware that Rubert Murdoch has tweeted his support for Rick Santorum. So, Ms. Palin's remarks are no surprise.
Mr. Romney has been extremely evasive about his tax returns and I have a feeling there is a lot he does not want to share with the voting public - although I could be wrong,
Spanky,
You are being ridiculous and you and I both know it. President Obama releases his financial statement, why not Romney? I think more people are interested in the financial of both, not their GPA from years ago.
The President of the United States medical records are made public every year after his physical. Your point is to try and come up with some conspiracy (like that of the birthers). All other candidates, including the President release their financial statements. If Mr. Romney has nothing to hide he should do the same.
Enough now. Your silliness on this matter is giving me a headache. Go bother someone else.
Now give Spankster a break, willya. Spankster is a needler & thats why he's the PointMan for the UDDTDOSD(better known as the United Drug Dealer Tunnel Diggers of San Diego). He's given a dayoff to celebrate Martin Luther King Day & getting paid for it.
I am thinking that Romney has paid such a small amount of taxes on the enormous amount of money he has made and doesn't want us to know about it.
Or he has oversea accounts to avoid taxes altogether.
If Romney has nothing to hide, then why hide it? Romney has indicated that he will not be releasing his tax returns at any time and maybe not even if he is elected president while claiming he has nothing to hide.
Mr. 1% Romney, what is not to trust? Mr. Romney is for tax cuts for the rich but his tax plan raises taxes on the poor. I'll bet you can't wait to pay higher taxes so you can pay for the tax cuts for the rich.
Newton, Santorum and others in the punditocracy will bludgeon Candidate Romney ALL WEEK LONG to release his returns and will play his reticence into EVASION and that evasion into the insinuation that he has something to hide. It will won't it Spanky? And it will dog him until he releases them, won't it? And it isn't coming from Axelrod or Democratic operatives (thought they are obviously in a state of bliss) is it? Could any of that be the POINT?
That's kind of your insinuation about the Presidents Regents exam scores, right? He MUST (Please!!!) be hiding something...(I hear he was "excessively absent" 2nd semester btw...)
I am sure Romney will release his tax returns if and when he becomes the republican nominee, until then he is under no obligation to do so. Gingrich and Santorum are grasping at straws and are showing they are getting desperate.
Phinephancy - You do know that the President and members of congress have to release the financial statements annually. Also there is a big difference between a financial statement and a tax return.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry joined Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum on Monday in calling on front-runner Mitt Romney to release his income tax returns during the election, warning that the country can’t afford any potentially unpleasant revelations about Romney come fall.
“My taxes, Anita and I put out our taxes every year since back in the '80s. And every candidate up there, they should put their taxes out, including Mitt,” Perry said at a town hall hosted by GOP operative Frank Luntz. “September and October is not the time for us to be finding out that whoops, there’s something out there that is a problem. We need to know it now.”
Feisty, how many times we've heard Ye Olde conspiracy last-ditch line, "He is hiding something".
Meanwhile, GOP congressionals voted twice to protect and prevent the Identity of Big corporations and transnationals who are buying up our elections, and keeping them a GIANT secret.
GOP/Norquist twice voted in favor of untraceable, undisclosed $Millions/Billions in our elections.
Aw, c'mon Spanky. I need to find myself. I looked in the mirror, and thought it was me, but now you say you know my identity, so please tell me. I don't want to remain lost forever!
I agree. If my friend Spanky is going toss out the accusation, he should have the cojones to reveal your dark secret...I can only vouch for the fact that you are you, and that if you have a secret identity, I apparently didn't manage to piss it off...
The Giants will do the same thing to your little boyfriend Tom as they did to "Discount Doublecheck" Rodgers and the Packers. Doesn't Eli already have a SB win over Tom-Tom and that former Giants defense coach Bella something, doesn't he? That was some blowout, huh? Ring #2 for Eli!
And a Big Blue crying towel for all the Patriots fans...and their broken hearts...
Please. Plus all I really care about is being the very first poster each time.
Nope, I was alerted to the issue last weekend, and upon further consideration and circumstances I tend to agree with the multiple identities of our very own phinep.
Or she just happened to coincidently use a unique phrase that had previouls been employed here by another.
Eli v. Brady - it'll be an excellent match up. I'd bet on Brady, but then again I would have the last time too.
I shocked you aren’t here spouting “grassy knoll” and “WTC-7” daily.
So you believe posters have multiple accounts then after making a comment or two, log out then log in using a different email, PW and user name and quickly jump back into the middle of a comment string and make more comments and then do it again and again all day long.
Think I shall read about the debate after the fact. Just bought a new book I would much rather read than listen to the same old lines used to fire up the base they use at every debate. Just let me know if anything new happens.
I'm sitting here, trying to think of something to say about the Republican primary. Funny, it's not big news around my company water cooler, and I haven't heard my Republican co-workers express a preference. I have to go online to find anyone interested in it...and all I find are other Democrats, also trying to think of something to say.
I don't know about that Spanky, President Obama's poll numbers go up after every republican debate.
The average republican voter is waiting for faux to tell them how to think. The republicans need all the propaganda they can muster to convince people to vote to increase their taxes to pay for giving the rich even more tax cuts.
By this point (SC primary) in 2008, the lines among my Democrat co-workers - as well as those among the regular First Read posters at the time - were firmly drawn and both the Obama and the Clinton fans were as passionate in their arguments for each as they were vocal. Since this campaign first started, other than the Ron Paul supporters - and Grimey, who was firmly for Huntsman - I can't seem to find a Republican anywhere who's been willing to go out on a limb and choose a GOP candidate and come on here and argue in no uncertain terms why he/she thinks they're the best choice. All I ever hear is "anyone but Obama", and I remember all too well how well "anyone but Bush" worked for us in 2004.
But hey......I can't wait to see that "Mitt Fever" start reaching a pitch this summer.....
My main Republican contact is my father and all he has said is that he thinks Romney is the inevitable nominee, although he personally likes Gingrich because he is the smartest of the group. The surprise to me as a Pennsylvanian is that he was not on the Santorum train, but my father is more of a fiscal conservative than a social conservative.
Obama should release the fact that he was elected president of the Harvard Law Review and graduated at the top of his class at Harvard Law School, earning a doctorate (LLD), and also taught Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago. His educational credentials are outstanding, as have been all of his achievements. Brilliance needs no excuse.
He is now the President of the United States and a world leader.
No candidate has ever been asked for his report cards except Obama. Some of you can't accept a brilliant black man because you are idiot white underachievers.
The "Gross Odd People" (GOP), and the "Really Not Competent" (RNC) are having another Clown Show tonight. The smell of rotten tea will fill the air, and Confederate Flags will be flying everywhere. The Tea Beggers will be playing many a bango, and doing many clown dances under the GOP Big Top. The GOP "Carnival Of Clowns" will open up with a cannon attack on nearby US Army Forts. The GOP Clowns will have many fun games at the traveling GOP Circus. Let us name just a few of the really neat games that will be played on under the old GOP Big Top tonight. The first game is called. "Load That Cannon!" "Fire On That Fort!" "Let's Succeed From The Union!" One game that is not too popular is called. "Gettysburg." Now at the Tea Begger Circus there are even "Memory Games." One very popular game is called. "Name That Clown!" So the good citizens of South Carolina will be exposed to Bango Music, and the drinking of "Spiked" Tea.
Look out South Carolina here comes the GOP Elephants! "Nutty Newts" favorite animal is the elephant. Now that is funny how an elephant matches the personality of old "Nutty Newt.
Awesome!
Who's in the mood for ANOTHER GNOP debate? lol
It's not like we have gotten any solid answers out of the insane clown posse so far...
What makes tonight any different?
Other than at the last one, Huntsman said he would party country over party, we see how well that worked out!
No worries, I have plenty of *popcorn* handy!
What's the matter old gal - you remote control out of batteries?
Don't like the debates? Easy, peasy, fresh and easy - try turning the channel. OR better yet, try turning the TV off.
Fiesty, I rarely reply to your post because they have no value. However, I do have a suggest, shut off your TV, get out of your mother's basement, take a walk and get some fresh air. Hey Sarge,
Please allow me to introduce you to this nifty feature here on First Read.
It's called the ignore author button.
I would highly suggest you acquaint yourself with it, because I am NOT going anywhere... ;o)
As for "spending money that does not exist":
How about the spending of $Millions/Billions that is kept invisible and secret - thanks to GOP congressionals who voted twice to protect and prevent the disclosing the identity of Big corporations and transnationals - who are now buying up American elections and our Government?
GOP/Norquist twice voted in favor of untraceable, undisclosed $Millions/Billions in our elections.
"Donating money to a cause"?
You mean like, electing the US President with big, secret money?
And across the board paying equal effective taxes - instead of low or no taxes - will absolutely stimulate US revenues and our economy.
No question.
That's right.
Fiesty's not going anywhere, and neither is Obama.
Obama shelved in 2012.
Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich offered Sunday to release his tax returns this week and challenged rival Mitt Romney to do the same.
"The country deserves accountability and transparency," Gingrich said, announcing he will release his returns on Thursday.
"I'm going to try to set the example to provide the leadership to do the right thing," he added.

Naaa, Romney should stand pat and not release the returns now.
Then when Obama calls him out later there can be a mutual exchange - Mitt's returns for Obama's transcripts.
Seems fair and I'm sure Obama will be will to release all the records this time, won't he?
dangerfield,
You are of course aware that Rubert Murdoch has tweeted his support for Rick Santorum. So, Ms. Palin's remarks are no surprise.

How can you compare tax returns to college transcripts? Kinda like apples to oranges.
Apples and oranges, eh?
So then tell me why you want to see the actual returns. We already know he is rich, so what the point?
Or is it you want to learn as much about the candidate as possible? You know taxes, medical records, school records, law review papers.
But ok Andie tell us - what do you hope to learn from the tax returns in particular?
Oh and why won't Obama release the medical records and transcripts?
Spanky,
The President of the United States medical records are made public every year after his physical. Your point is to try and come up with some conspiracy (like that of the birthers). All other candidates, including the President release their financial statements. If Mr. Romney has nothing to hide he should do the same.

I will let Candidate Santorum answer that...

Not that he must be hiding something gang - he is hiding something.
So why not release it all?
No days off here at the sweat shop Rick.
It was interesting what MLK's niece said this morning - he'd be a social conservative and against abortion.
sfcret - you really think the libbies know the difference between a tax return and a financial statement?
And sadly phinep - you appeal has waned now that the identity issue has been solved.

So, what's the scoop, Spanky? Who IS Phine besides herself?
And who am I? Did you find my identity? I have been looking for it.

Spanky?
Enquiring minds want to know!...;)
dangerfield,
Ok. I confess. I am actually Marilyn Monroe. I didn't really die, it was all a conspiracy. But I still look great after years of plastic surgery.
Haha...Well, someone's credibility is leaking like the sawdust from a cheap doll by the minute here, and it isn't you, Mrs. DiMaggio...

The Super Bowl will be better, at least for me, even though it will be a blowout.

Spanky,
You are an idiot. I am the only me. If you don't think so, report me. Done with you.
Dangerfield-
If you are interested enough, do this-
Pick up in the middle of posts, without reading the names. You can do it if you go through pretty quickly.
Voila! You notice very soon that there are only about a dozen posters- never mind how many names they use.
Some of them are more clever than others- some are definitely not.
Ah, to be a Klub House Kid- exempt from the rules the rest of us must follow. . .
But, for crying out loud, who has time?
nojo and Spanky,
I went to Tyler. I am sure he will answer all your questions. Have a nice day.
There goes No Joe with more conspiracy theories.

Yup, for the umpteenth time we'll hear the same right-wing talking points!
Obama, failed Presidency; repeal ObamaCares; free market vultureism (capatalism); class-warefare; dividing people; blah, blah....repeat, repeat, repeat the lies!
You'll get none of it, of course, so long as you all have your SuperPACs.
Oh stop it Noid.
This is the age of transparency. I know, because Obama promised to be the most transparent president evah!
So just what was his gpa at Columbia? What did he get on his LSAT?
Wait, is all that stuff locked in and Obama super pac vault?
Sure it is.
Yo, Spankers, as with all my other comments about SuperPACs, did you see me call out sides on this?
I'm sitting here, trying to think of something to say about the Republican primary. OBAMA/BIDEN or CLINTON 2012 as well as ELIZABETH WARREN 2012! After tonight's Republican debate, we will see who let the dogs out. Too funny!
When have these fools debated?
All I've ever heard is any one of the 200 of them is better than the President.
