Democracy at Dixville Notch: Early NH voting puts Romney on top

It was not a random sample and it will have no predictive value, but a quaint New Hampshire tradition – dating back to 1960 -- was preserved Tuesday just after midnight when voters in two tiny mountain towns, Dixville Notch and Hart’s Location, were the first ones to cast their ballots in the first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary.

The winners in midnight democracy in Dixville Notch: Jon Huntsman and Mitt Romney, with two votes each; the winner in Harts Location: Romney, with 5 votes. Ron Paul came in close second with 4 votes, followed by Huntsman with 2, according to the Union Leader.

Another 250,000 or so voters are expected to join those early birds by casting their ballots later Tuesday. Polls in the Granite State close at 8pm ET.

In 2008, John McCain won the balloting in Dixville Notch with 4 votes. Mitt Romney finished second with only 2. McCain also won Hart’s Location in 2008, edging Mike Huckabee, 6 votes to 5.

Mittens. The gift that keeps on giving. The REAL question is whether or not Southern Baptists and Bible Belt evangelicals will turn out in great numbers come November to vote for a Yankee Mormon? I think not.

What percentage of Romney supporters at his rallies are not eligible NH voters? All one need do is check plates to see Massachusetts is visiting a lot in NH these days.

NH voters, Lets not make another mistake like "W" / "O"???

Not a lot of difference between Bush and Obama.

Not a lot of difference? The difference is night and day... or should I say black and white... add your own sarcasm here.

Your political prowess is nothing short of phenomenal. Did by any chance you receive your Ph.D. in Economic Theory?

how is Romney going to turn the economy around- I heard him say he is a job creator but how is he going to create these jobs again? Never heard, same for bonehead boehner always saying jobs, jobs, jobs and the damm "job bills" they have piling up in the Senate side are a joke.

So how is he going to do it- specifically

Supposeron Paul does come in 2? What does that say about the republican party today. Yes,Santorm will get a big catholic vote in the northern New Hampshire area along the canadain border, but a religious vote will not be enough to show broad appeal.

To Romney's credit he's worked the state better than anyone else-picking up evey endorsment available-including the Tea Party fav Kelly Ayyote. And he says he's not a politician? really? How dumb does he think people are?

What hurst though are the wall Street Journal front page quoting Newt Grigich about the difference beteen capitalism and corporate looting. This is gonna go all the way to November...

                Keeping it in the family?

Obama is related to: King Edward I, King William Lion. LB Jonson, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, Both Bush’s, Madison, Truman, and VP Cheney. Oh and Rush Limblaaa.

Mitt Romney: is related to 6 presidents, including the Bush’s. Rush Limbaugh.

Perry: related to one president, and one governor of TX.

Huntsman: 4 presidents and King Edward III.

Santorum: did not find anything except he is Italian and Irish; interesting note; the last 20 presidents have had Irish ancestry.

Ron Paul: is related to 0 presidents, 0 governors, 0 Kings of England, 0 political big shots.

Maybe it is just coincidence? I like Ron Paul because he isn’t related to the Queen of England or any other Political families of the US. And I like small government, regulating business so they don't become monopolies.

NO printing more empty cash as done recently by the feds thanks to OBAMA (600 billion to be exact) which devalued out dollar by 20 cents. We now already owe in interest to China 40 cents on the dollar. If this trend continues of uncontrolled and unnecessary spending, we will end up ruled by China. They are stragically buying up resources and real estate all over the world. WAKE UP AMERICA! That missle that was shot 30 miles off our California coast a few months back, where do you think that came from? Here's a thought provoking video from UTube:

NO adding $1.1 Trillion of addition unnecessary spending (1900+ pages thrown in at the last minute) to the Bush Tax Cut Bill. The same tactic was used last year for the Health Care Bill. Force a bunch of old men to make split decisions on a ridiculiously large bill with a bunch of Democrat agenda slipped in. Make them stay up late nights right during the holiday season to pressure them to just give in. Don't give them time to read it. Nice try but the people are smartening up this time. Thank GOD! The people spoke at mid-term election. I don't think most of the Democrats or Obama were listening! Transparency? Everything disclosed for all to see on C-SPAN? ALL LIES! It's really no surprise. Thats the way politics works. You say what you need to say to get into office and when elected, not keep your promises.

NOthing that Obama has done in the last three years has helped the economy. Don't you listen to the news. The STIMILUS, CAP & TRADE, & THE HEALTH CARE BILL (which has been declared unconstitutional because you cannot make someone purchase insurance) were all CLEAR failures. The unemployment rate is only slightly better as a direct result of extra hiring for the holiday season.

NO more spending. Anyone with common sense knows you do not spend more than you take in!

NO additional taxes on the wealthy because they create 95% of the jobs but have been holding on to their cash because of uncertainty in the future ecomony. A sense of stability is all we need to breed confidence with businesses and the American people to SPEND MONEY.

Say NO to socialism. Obama is trying to destroy everything that has made this country GREAT!!

NO redistribution of wealth. If you did not earn it, it's not yours to take!

The media has an obvious liberal bias which taints the view of the reality of our current crisis. Obama is a narcissistic sociopath. He hates the rich and wants to play Robin Hood. Take from the successful and give to the deadbeats.
