Back in New Hampshire, Romney keeps focus on Obama

Brian Snyder / Reuters

Republican presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney speaks to the crowd in an overflow room during a campaign stop at the Tilton School in Tilton, N.H.

TILTON, NH -- Returning to the state where the latest polling shows him holding a commanding lead over his GOP rivals, Mitt Romney chose once again on Friday night to keep his laser focus on just one man, President Barack Obama. At a dinner event here, the former Massachusetts Governor said the president would be wrong to claim credit for today's new unemployment numbers dipping to 8.5 percent.

"I'm glad it's doing a little better now. I'm sure the president will want to take credit for it -- for any improvement," Romney said. "Guess what? He doesn't deserve it because everything that's been done has hurt this recovery, everything done by this president."

In a statement released earlier this afternoon, Romney said "of course its good news" that the rate had dropped, but he would refuse to accept the "new normal" of unemployment above eight percent.

The latest NBC/Marist poll, released tonight, shows Romney leading in the Granite State by a 20-point margin over Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas. Romney, who knows something about evaporating poll numbers after his eleventh-hour loss to Mike Huckabee in the 2008 Iowa caucus, urged his supporters not to grow complacent but to continue working hard on his behalf through Tuesday's primary.

"People in New Hampshire expect you to work hard, to earn it.  And we're in a real battle right now.  I know some pollsters say I'm doing real well. let me tell you, those polls, they can just disappear over night," Romney said. "What you say to a pollster is a bit like going on a date. It’s like, well, I might try this but you know, getting married, that's something else. So we need to make sure you're working real hard and I'll keep working real hard."

Friday night, working hard in New Hampshire consisted of giving a speech, taking questions from a handful of audience members here, and serving spaghetti to an overflow crowd at the Tilton school, just miles from Romney's summer home in the lakes region here. Tomorrow, Romney will hold a morning rally with South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who also joined him tonight, before attending two back-to-back debates Saturday night and Sunday morning.

"Why even stop?" Rommey joked of the debates, whose start times are separated by just 12 hours. "Why not go right straight through?"

As the Iowa winner and strong front-runner here, Romney is likely to find himself the target of his opponents sharpest barbs in the upcoming debates, but tonight he suggested when the primary process is over, any damage done to "bruised egos" ought to be shaken off by the nominee - whoever he is.

"By the way I know that in the process of the primary in the primary process we’ll be going after each other, as someone said long ago politics ain’t bean bags," Romney said. "We'll be going back and forth and when this is all over we ought to be able to hug.

"I'm glad it's doing a little better now. I'm sure the president will want to take credit for it -- for any improvement," Romney said. "Guess what? He doesn't deserve it because everything that's been done has hurt this recovery, everything done by this president."

Romney is right.

Jobs are a natural creation / function of society ... you have to actively hinder it to get to where we are today after 3 years ... the worst since the Great Depression - the first Great Experiment in Government Hindrance.

I can't understand why this is so difficult for libs to understand, why they think government creates jobs.

If you think about it, where in America history were there not jobs around before there was government ... from the earliest settlements in the east to the pioneers in the midwest to the trailblazers, trappers on the left coast ... people organized their tasks and paid others to do tasks ... way before their was government to control everything.

The American spirit created jobs and built this country, not American government.

Yea, I know ... that didn't flip any lib light bulbs on .... libs just won't get it.

You could explain to a child , that when it comes down to it - human job creation is as natural as growing grass. All grass needs is the proper environment and it will grow ... and heck ... even it will create jobs better than government ..... landscape jobs of mowing, trimming, edging, removing grass from unwanted areas such as flowerbeds, etc.

Funny, we kill grass, we compact the soil, we place forms and then pour concrete for sidewalks and driveways etc ... yet wherever there is an expansion joint, a crack in the concrete - grass grows back despite all these efforts - it's simply natural.

Obama has killed jobs with "Wipe-Out" legislation such as Obamacare and Dodd-Frank, "Roundup" regulations by the EPA .... created a drought of business certainity and consumer confidence .... and laid 5 trillion of new debt bricks ... and 3 years later we have a little grass trying to grow back in the expansion joints of Obama's policies.

Most kiddos would understand this .... libs simply won't allow themselves to see the light.

Regardless .... Romney is right ... and thankfully most Americans, even children, can understand it - in one way or another.

Got it; Obama doesn't like grass.

What is Romney's opinion on the housing deluge of credit propped up by the Federal Reserve followed by the lending drought? Metaphorically, I don't suspect that to be considered a natural weather pattern.

Maybe, though, you are only trying to appeal to elementary school level of understanding?

Duh.

What do you think precipitated the economic crisis?

Do you really think even evil pioneer bankers in the 1800s were stupid enough to take the loss on BS loans to people who couldn't afford the loans?

No one in history would write those loans without big government mandates and coercion backed up by government sponsored enterprises to dump the risk ultimately on the tax payer.

Big government social engineering.

Maybe, though, you are only trying to appeal to elementary school level of understanding?

Yea .... I thought you could get the gist though .... sorry it went over your head.

Put your lights on!!!!

Here's a chart, showing monthly job losses/gains in the private sector since the start of the Great Recession. The image makes a distinction — red columns point to monthly job totals under the Bush administration, while blue columns point to job totals under the Obama administration.

http://wamo.info/pa/120106_privatejobs.jpg

(Note: 2011 was the best year for private-sector job growth since 2005, and the second best since 1999.)

BLS data shows the U.S. private sector has now added 1.89 million jobs in 2011, well ahead of last year’s private-sector total of 1.2 million, and the best year for businesses since 2005

FYI: we were hemorrhaging 750,000

MS. BARNES: Well, the economic policy and the focus on the stimulus – we walked in the door knowing that things were bad and making assumptions and calculations based on that information. After the President was elected – and I remember sitting in the transition office in Chicago early on – [WE FOUND OUT JUST HOW BAD THINGS WERE] I mean we were shedding about 750,000 jobs a month, which is almost unimaginable; and, certainly now, with 21 months of – of job growth, we realize we’ve been able to pull out of that.

So, the stimulus was a smart thing to do. It was a necessary thing to do, and it got us off the brink. At the same time, it put in place long-term investments – things that are going to grow our economy; help us better educate our kids, better educate our workforce. So, it was that combination of short term and long term that we thought was so important, and we were making calculations based on the best information we had at the time.

Hey Bev,

Sorry ... but either the dog ate your chart and barfed up just meaningless bars or you have been digging in the liberal blog dumpsters again - either way it is meaningless, no dates no explanations nothing identified ....

So the BLS says 2011 was the best year for business since 2005 ... 1.89 million jobs added. I notice you didn't provide a link where it possible to figure out what you were talking about.

Regardless, since the federal government doesn't produce much other than collecting revenue from individuals (their jobs) and business - federal revenue is a pretty good bottom line indicator (an $80,000 a year engineer working in 2008 is not the same as the same guy working at Mickey D's in 2011 at $8.00 an hour .... although the BLS would treat each as equivalent - each simply one job)

Federal revenue in 2005 was $2.1536 trillion. Federal revenue for 2011 was $2.1737 trillion. So your numbers do correlate when you adjust to constant value. Problem is that you stated that 2011 was the best since 2005. Actually 2006 at $2.4069, 2007 at $2.5680 and 2008 at $2.5240 all were better than 2005 and anything and everything under Obama.

In fact, when revenue is considered as a per centage of GDP - Obama is worse than evey since president since FDR!

Doesn't seem to hold up, huh?

About hemoraging 750,000 jobs when Obama took over .... too bad he didn't focus on jobs like America wanted, like he said he would ... instead of doing Obamacare, Frank-Dodd ....

Regarding Ms.Melody ... she is an idiot.

She didn't have a clue then and never has sense. When has Obama been right on one of his summer of recovery predictions etc.

Sheez the guy can't even do a budget that gets ONE SINGLE VOTE!

The guy spends - DRIVES UP $5 TRILLION IN NEW DEBT AND CANNOT CREATE ONE NEW JOB IN 3 YEARS - UNDER HIS OWN TERM (That's not counting making up for loses under Bush - Just Obama's loses!)

And Btw Bev - You might want to let Ms. Melody know ... the Great Recession was over in June 2009. We have been a recovery for the last 2 1/2 years. She might want to know that since she is an economic expert and everything.

Have a good evening or whatever Bev.

Yes Bob,

In fact, people have been lending money for thousands of years. Banks for hundreds of years. they know how to lend money. They know how to evaluate risk.

So, why would they make such stupid loans?? Because 1.) they were coerced into it by the Democrats, and 2.) they were allowed to immediately sell the crap mortgages ( and the risk,) and still make a fee from each transaction.

Does that make any sense to anyone? Not to me.

Romney's policies are clear. Tax cuts for the rich at the expense of the poor. Will that help the economy? NO.

Will deregulating the universe help the economy? NO

Republicans have no new ideas to fix the economy and jobs. Furthermore they don't care about the middle class.

Since none of you know how to do the calculation to get the unemployment rate number, none of you noticed that last month's number was revised- up. Initially reported out at 8.6%, it is now 8.7%.

So, next month, when those seasonal sales jobs disappear, what do you suppose will happen to the unemployment number? It's going to take a lot more than 15,000 people leaving the labor market, (last month's number of folks who probably all hit the lottery, or something), to cause a decline in the unemployment rate.

It kind of explains this

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/01/05/students_laugh_at_obama_when_he_tells_them_you_inspire_me.html

The last few Obama campaign rallies, (that taxpayers pay for, because Obama says they are not campaign rallies), have been held in high school gyms. Why? Because principals can compel students to show up and fill the joint, that's why. Last year, doing these rallies on college campuses didn't work out so well- they could not fill the venues. Thus- go where attendees have no choice.

That does not mean they have to take Obama seriously, though.

I'm sure glad I was not in the retinue that had to go back to AF 1 with him. Laugh at a narcissist, and holy heck gets raised.

His tax proposal says it all a 60% increase for poor people a 2.5% tax cut to the middle class and a 15% tax cut for the wealthy so they can create jobs? So if tax cuts create jobs and the wealthy has had 11 years of tax cut how come our unemployment rate is not 2%?

People on the right are fools. Obama and just about everyone else has said this recovery will be like no other. Lots of up and downs before we level out and we may never see things like they used to be. The whole housing market and lending thing got well out of hand to the point all it took was a bunch of idiots to knock down the house of cards. We made millionaire after millionaire but at a cost. We stagnated the wages of the middle class and poor people and raised prices to beat the band so a few could benefit! Jubak wrote an excellent pice that summed up with the thought we do not know how long this recovery will take because we are in uncharted waters. Before we could count on a recovery where the government provided revenue until the private sector kicked in and started hiring. Now it is different and globalizationas us with our pants dow long after the dance is over. Now we have weathered the storm provided to us by the idots on the right and we are looking at them trying to replace the mentally challenged Bush with another rich folks lackey who appears well qualified to lead that party because he is too stupid to see the problem so there can never be a solutiion from him.

Bev,

Although I'm sure the Koch brothers know the definition of a recession, they didn't fabricate the definition.

Btw - A recession is defined as basically 2 consecutive quarters of negative growth. Bush's recession, by definition bagan December 2007, peaked in September 2008 and ended in June 2009. Again - by economic definition - not a "talking point" or "faux stat".

The stats on revenue are from Office of Management and Budget, Historical Tables, Table 1.3 ; http:/www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/Historicals

Regarding Ms. Melody's claim that they were mislead because of Bush's unfunded wars .... tell her that just because the wars were not budgeted does not mean that we don't know how much was spent .... we spent $760 billion in the 8 years under Bush.

ObamaCares: Breast Cancer Patient Writes Open Apology To Obama For Not Supporting Healthcare Plan

In a Los Angeles Times op-ed, Spike Dolimite Ward reveals that she has breast cancer — third stage breast cancer. She found out three weeks ago, and first on her agenda?

An apology to President Barack Obama.

Ward had been a die-hard Obama fan during the historic election; but since that time, like many Americans, she felt the president had let his supporters down, especially the middle-class. She even changed her bumper-sticker from “Got Hope” to “Got Nope”.

The background story:

Ward’s husband lost his cushy entertainment industry job. They were able to keep their COBRA coverage for $1,300 a month, but then that ran out, leaving them uninsured for two years.

Due to the pre-existing condition clause in President Obama’s healthcare plan, she has been able to get coverage, and says her experience dealing with the administration has been a much better experience than dealing with private insurance companies.

Read below for an excerpt of her apology:

Fortunately for me, I’ve been saved by the federal government’s Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan, something I had never heard of before needing it. It’s part of President Obama’s healthcare plan, one of the things that has already kicked in, and it guarantees access to insurance for U.S. citizens with preexisting conditions who have been uninsured for at least six months. The application was short, the premiums are affordable, and I have found the people who work in the administration office to be quite compassionate (nothing like the people I have dealt with over the years at other insurance companies.) It’s not perfect, of course, and it still leaves many people in need out in the cold. But it’s a start, and for me it’s been a lifesaver — perhaps literally.

Which brings me to my apology. I was pretty mad at Obama before I learned about this new insurance plan. I had changed my registration from Democrat to Independent, and I had blacked out the top of the “h” on my Obama bumper sticker, so that it read, “Got nope” instead of “got hope.” I felt like he had let down the struggling middle class. My son and I had campaigned for him, but since he took office, we felt he had let us down.

So this is my public apology. I’m sorry I didn’t do enough of my own research to find out what promises the president has made good on. I’m sorry I didn’t realize that he really has stood up for me and my family, and for so many others like us. I’m getting a new bumper sticker to cover the one that says “Got nope.” It will say “ObamaCares.”

Critics Still Wrong on What’s Driving Deficits in Coming Years
Economic Downturn, Financial Rescues, and Bush-Era Policies Drive the Numbers
    Updated June 28, 2010

The data in this analysis has been updated, but this version has a detailed critique of a misleading report by the Heritage Foundation that places blame for the deficits on rapid growth in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and interest costs, and dismisses the significance of weak revenues in general and the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts in particular.

    Heritage Foundation’s Analysis is Misleading

A recent Heritage Foundation report claims that tax cuts and other policies initiated during the Bush administration are not a significant factor behind the deficits we face in the coming decade.[10] Heritage places blame for the deficits squarely on rapid growth in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and interest costs, and dismisses the significance of weak revenues in general and the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts in particular. But Heritage’s analysis is both misguided and seriously misleading.

Heritage ignores the fact that rapidly-rising interest costs — one of its “culprits” behind rising outlays — result in significant part from the tax cuts and other fiscal policies of the Bush era . The tax cuts and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan accounted for over $2.6 trillion of our national debt by the end of 2008 and, if continued, will add another $7 trillion in debt by 2019. In that year alone, about $450 billion of our interest bill will stem from those two policies. It is disingenuous to tar interest as a “fast-growing” spending program while ignoring which policies — including tax cuts — account for that fact.

Obama may be gutless and not have the courage to face reality, but heck, even he is not that delusional.

Mitt Romney, well in Sioux City he said he wants Navy ship production to go from 9 to 16 ships per year. Until when? Until there isn't an ocean view without a big a$$ boat in it?

And that would be opposed to say Obama .... and his actions that will leave us with the smallest US Navy since before WW I?

In a time of intercontinental missiles, cruise missles ... nuclear weapons ... a time when our economy is linked to the global economy ....

Any one with a functioning brain stem should be able to determine who definitely is not the man.

I guess if most of America became as paranoid as yourself and the Republican Party would like them to be then we would never have enough war ships.

NOW, I understand why bobby is in such a cranky mood all the time! He stays up too late. Bobby, you need to turn off the compy about 9 PM and go directly to bed. If you start getting a good night sleep, why, you may wake up with a whole new outlook on life! The sun will shine, the birds will sing, and your mood will be SOOO much better!

It will also allow you to take in information more accurately, and then you will go to work for the Obama 2012 campaign, since you will feel very sorry about the nonsense you have spouted!

I dont think you know what you are talking about. Obama passed health care....Presidents have been trying to do that for 100 years........He did that for me and for you. There is obviously no political benny to himself, as we have noticed in the polls and such (not that any of this was a suprised, he ran for president based on this platform). Our military is 14 times more powerful than any other country on the earth. Do you really need one rated (and I mean rated by our US military) 14 times higher than any other counrty? And that whole WW1 one thing is just propaganda. We had 18 ships prior to WW 1 and it is impossible for us to reduce our navy to level. So you just dont know what you are speaking of......sorry

      Bob,

I could have field day on what you have tried to say...your history is confused. There was a government during those pioneering and western expansion days. True, cavemen probably had few elections, but they aren't here anymore to tell us if they did or didn't. If you look at the Great Depression, the biggest criticism for our the government was its failure to act (by Republican Presidents). It was a Democratic President with liberal ideas who pulled the country out.

The grass growing analogy is baffling...although wouldn't the EPA be the government agency that would force the protection of the sacred grass?

"After 3 years of Obama - we have been become the debt-ridden deadbeat."

Typical lie and here is proof that is easily obtainable just with google

Here in a nutshell is a list of our last Presidents and the percentages of borrowing they did while in office.

      Truman NONE
      Eisenhower 3%
      Kennedy Johnson 6%
      Nixon Ford 14%
      Carter 13%
      Reagan 25%
      Bush I 28%
      Clinton 6%
      Bush II thru 2002 23%
Bush II FROM 2003 to end of term 32%

So who are the big spenders? Why its Republicans who offer meager tax cuts to the not so rich and famous while lavishing tax cuts on the wealthy which make them have to borrow in order to keep the government running. This is a shill game and we better wake up to it before it is too late.

Bush I BushII and Reagan are responsible for 70% of the Debt we owe now.
Thank God they were fiscal conservatives

Yo bob-ble head! You are in denial if you think Obama is gutless. Bush and Darth Cheney was manning this country for 8 years and did not kill Bin Ladin or end wars. Just continue to borrow from China and whoever else in Asia!

When it came down to foreign policy Obama made good on his promise and did pretty damn well. The only reason he couldn't do better in our economy here at home is because of the party of NO who filibustered any attempt to get us out of this gutter sooner. REMEMBER, the Repugs goal is to make Obama a one term president - regardless if they let this country sink like the Titanic. If this biggest HYPOCRITE Romney is elected, this country will be back to serfdom!

What all Americans should do is get all their Repug state representatives out of office. They only care about their 1% corp donors and saving their azzes.

        Poor Bob...

Another rightie who fails to acknowledge that our REAL path of deficit spending that has lead to our debt started with the policies of Ronald Reagan, and believes that American history started on 1/21/08.

When you think about it, Bob, Obama has done nothing more than extend the failed policies of Reagan and Bush, which is deficit spending to stimulate the economy, not paying down the debt, and not cutting spending. and I'm sure that we'll hear something from you on that. And while you're at it, please explain how those ten years of tax cuts have produced how many jobs?

As far as the military cuts are concerned, they are long overdue. time to cut the waste, and the profiteers. (of which maybe you are one) BTW, how much stock do you hold with defense contractors?

Go away, Bob... Go away, and figure out which one of the current crop of GOP losers you plan on supporting in the effort to beat Obama.

My bet is you'll still be on the threads four more years whining and crying about our country being decimated by a Muslim, and how the Republicans would make it soooo much better if they had the chance. And being that the current favorability rating of Republicans in Congress (the House in particular) stands at about 20%, I'd say they've blown that chance, wouldn't you?

It went over 9% and now 2 1/2 years later it's now at 8.6% and you call that a recovery? I don't care who's in office and I don't care WHO fixes the economy, it has to be fixed and Obama is not the person to do this. If you haven't seen what's happened in the last almost 3 years, you been living in the dark. You can honestly say that the country is better off now than 4 years ago?

Although we are in a recession, Americans will still probably cough up the money to fill stadiums for the upcoming football playoffs and the Superbowl. Check how much money deadbeat Americans spent on Christmas gifts. Are things really that bad?

Trouble with righties like yoursel is you do not or will not understand the problem so there can never be a solution coming for your side. For instance when Bush was in deficit spending was a great ide.....Now it is terrible if we are to believe you people.

We have had 30 years of stagnat wages and price increse after price increase. The government buys goods like we do and the Republicans say cut taxes? They did look what happened.

“We can’t wait 10 years,” even though “everybody wants to,” Santorum says.

That fits real well into the, "Our military is being neutered" message.

                My take on that message from the GOP/TP;

Take money/food off the tables of seniors and put that money right into the pockets of the military/industrial complex.

Hope that message works out well for you Republicans.

Romney nor any of the publican trash will admit that it was publican ignorance that set the stage for the economic crash of 2007/2008.

Reagan, Bush 1 & Bush 2 laid the groundwork for the serious debt and economic crises that today face this nation. They have undermined and destroyed the economic engine that propels this nations economy, the middle class and the economicaly distressed.

Looking at the publican record of the last three publican presidents one would have to be grossly ignorant to ever place a publican in public office. The publican veiws and idealogue is insane and untenable, does not embrace the tenents of democracy.

The last sane and credible Republican to hold national office was Dwight Eisenhower.

concernedusa5031 - you make a good point. Obama is not entirely to blame for this mess. For that matter, neither is Bush or the others who preceded him. Regardless of whatever governmental controls were or were not in place, the American public - i.e. the individual, ALWAYS has the choice to spend and borrow.

I'm tired of hearing/reading about which government program initiated by so-and-so is to blame for ALL of the mess. Each of us has a responsibility to spend our money wisely. For example, if an individual bought too expensive of a house - beyond what they could afford, then they are also to blame.

If each of us can own up to individual responsibility, then collectively we the citizens, can help get us back on track - regardless of which party gets the Presidency.

Individual spending had nothing to do with the collapse it was credit default swaps. Something 98% of Americans had never heard of before.

I'm no business/economics expert, but if people don't overextend their credit spending, would the credit default swaps force them to lose their homes?

They are basically the same on a lot of issues.

So you are only voting due to him not being named Obama?

The only change with romney will be the tax rate the 1% pay.

Dont let the GOP and Romney fool you. If Romney gets elected the power will once again return to the rogue behind the scenes CIA elite want to be world leaders. More war, More occupation, More middle eastern boogiemen scare tactics and more money we dont have spent on affairs outside of our own problems.

Interesting that the economy is recovering even without the extra stimulus spending (ieL borrowing from the Chinese) the president said we HAD TO HAVE to survive.

Haven't Repubs been saying all along extra Fed spending is not the answer.

Yea, but think how MUCH better we would be if we invested in more rebuilding of our roads and bridges and hiring more teachers and first responders????

Employment rate hasn't been this good in 6 years they say, right when BUSH had his way. Think how much better we would be if we had left the GOP have their way with more wars and less taxes.

let see the National debt would have go up even more and the road jobs would all be temp jobs that would have taken months to plan before they even hired one person.

Rubberlipping Obama or anybody else shows me NOTHING. Its the easy blame others for the mess we are in,so put forth a plan that we can all see how you(Romney or any other GOP) will fix our nation if you even have one. Having voted for the last 49 years I get so damm mad this crap the people running for an office put out against each other. Like I said before, show us your ways and means to fix our nation and if it looks and feels good you will have a better chance of getting elected.

We should never have had boots on the ground except special forces. Entering Pakistan and getting Bin Laden has shown we don't need to lose 4,000 people to get leaders. Of course we need to be on the same alert. We now have spy equipment capability that look like hummingbirds. We have satellites. We don't need to go fight antiquated wars. However every GOP candidate only has a vision to defeat Obama why would we expect they have any other vision. Obama only needs to battle the GOP nominee with wits. He will win hands down. Because they will be caught entirely unaware.

Repubnuts have proven to be warmongers. They want to go to war with Syria and Iran using tax dollars that we can't afford. Our economy is in a shambles now because of the wars that Bush got us into, but yet the Repubnuts say is strictly the fault of Obama's spending. If Obama didn't bail out the banks, (which was a loan that has already been paid back), we would be in a depression right now. They don't care... all they care about is getting Obama out of office and with each lie that they tell, it seems is more a personal thing against Obama for having the nerve to be black. No matter how many times they say it's not a race thing, I and many Americans see it as that. Especially, when you get the ignorant comments from Santorum and Gingrich about blacks and foodstamps. The biggest percentage of food stamp users are not black. Read this article for statistics.

"Among the poorest of the poor--single mothers, living below thepoverty line with minor children to support 39.7 percent of AFDC clients are Black single mothers and 38.1 percent are White women with children. Food stamp recipients are 37.2 percent Black and 46.2 percent White. Medicaid benefits are paid to 27.5 percent Black recipients compared to 48.5 percent White clients."

The very fact that Romney won in Iowa and is now leading in New Hampshire
demonstrates beyond a shadow of doubt just how STUPID the american people
really are. Just plain STUPID! Stupid, Stupid, Stupid and more Stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And quite frankly, should have their right to vote taken
                                      away from them.

The american people really do not want change. The american people are, in
fact, afraid of change. What the american people buy into time and time again
is just the veneere. The stupid american public lacks the intellectual bandwidth to look past a books cover. They truly lack the substance and the intelligence to go in and delve deeper into the subject matter. The only place Romney is qualified to be, is on the front cover of GQ magazine.

Why am I saying this???? I have friends and family that actually live in
Massachusetts. Let me repeat that for the slow of mind and the STUPID Dorito
eating, beer swilling, couch potato american public, ...I...., Have..., Friends..., And..., Family..., That..., Actually..., Live..., In..., Massachusetts. The very state Romney was Governor of from 2003 to 2007. There is a very explainable reason why my friends and family who live and work in Massachusetts, as well as others who live in Massachusetts, refer to the State as "Taxechusettes”. It is because this prick Romney raised taxes so often as Governor, and used the hard working people of Massachusetts as his own personal "piggy bank" to fund all the states "social Welfare
Programs". And, if elected, he is going to repeat the same thing thing to all you STUPID idiots. The same idiots that voted for him in Iowa as well as this new round of idiots from New Hampshire who have now given Romney the lead over more qualified candidates!

The candidates that really would have restored this country and put this country back into the hands of the american people (The way our founding Fathers intended) would have been Hermain Cain (who cares that he had a mistress, or two), Ron Paul and/or Michelle Bachman. But as I said, the STUPID american people do not want change. They buy into images. And are afraid of REAL change. They would rather have a very large and bloated government with a boat load of Social Welfare programs paid for and funded by raising your taxes and increasing the debt ceiling. There really should be a mandatory IQ test given before allowing idiots and stupid people to vote. Age should not be the only prerequisite!

Good luck to all you morons in 2013. You will be back on this blog to log your silly complaints should this weasel Romney get elected. Or worse yet, this prick Obama gets re-elected. These 2 guys will finish turning this country into a Welfare state. America, is rapidly becoming just another socialistic European nation!!!

So, ...good luck turning over $0.75 cents of every hard earned $1.00 dollar you earn to pay for Conchetta and her brood of 5 children that she can't even afford to feed. Or these deadbeat 99% percenters. We have become an "Entitlement" country. Not a country of "Self Reliant" people. A country of "Self Reliance" is what made America great! It’s what America used to be. But it is no longer. And that’s due to the mix of cultures. Multiculturalism has failed and is slowly destroying the principals and ideologies that made this country great. But no one wants to talk about it.

Now all we have is a majority of STUPID Dorito eating, beer swilling couch potato IDIOT'S sitting on their fat unhealthy asses in front of their flat screen TV's while their brains go numb. That's right folks. Numb you up, and dumb you down. That's how you hijack a country!!

So go to the polls in November 2012. And as George Carlin said, I'll stay home and play with myself. At least at the end of the day, I'll have something to show for my efforts. The bulk of the american voting public will NOT!

Dorian, ALL of the RETHUG/GOP candidates are all HYPOCRITES andLIARS and/OR LOONY BINS and IDIOTS!! Thus, the musical chair or flavor of the month, because SOME of the right wing peeps of this country still have a tad bit more brain cells than the rest to be able to see exactly what they got. Herman Cain?! Care about this country??! You gotta be nuts! LOONY Bachman??! Hilarious!! Anyone who sputter about the constitution without a complete understanding of it, you should avoid. Again, all the GOP candidates are all mind-boggling laughable!!

so much talk about more newe jobs and taxes. Is the lifestyle better and safer for the other 91.5% of taxpayers? Yes, only because of President Obama. This tax and unemployment crap are only thorns to keep him from being re-elected. Hey what is the average unemployment? 5% at best, so we have 3% over normal. It takes more than 3% to swing the 2012 election because the 90% of voters who's lifer is much better attribute that to Obama and definetely not that Tea Party non Productive Congress. Many thanks to President Obama and Harry Reid for getting this country back on track.

Get your facts and figures straight. The real unemployment rate is 11% nationwide with close to a 19% unemployment rate in african american communities due to Obama. So how does that equate to a better lifestyle for the 19% of unemployed black americans?

Either you live your life by following an ideology of "Entitlement". Or you live your life following an ideology of "Self Reliance". Which one do you practice?

Do you wake up every day and expect the Government to pay your way through life? Or do you get up every day, look at the glass half full (not half empty) and try and make something of yourself? Which is it?

They should all be focusing on the disaster that is the Big O. Keep talking about the corruption and lack of leadership that is the Big O administration.

Maybe one of them could bring up the fact that in a Friday document dump it was revealed that 550,000 union workers were exempted from Obamacare.

(Obamacare is the more appropriate term for that fiasco they entitled PPACA since the White House and Democratic Congress decides who to enforce participation onto.)

They should also call his administration on the bogus claim of "record breaking" deportations which they "exaggerated" to the tune of 24-1. That would be 24 claimed for every 1 factual.

Liar-in-Chief......doesn't have a nice ring to it. But apt.

I am so sick and tired of people who blame President Obama for the state of the economy! The man put on his waders, picked up a shovel, and tried to clean up the mess that two Bush terms left him. Did he make some mistakes early on? Yes, his focus should have been on stabilizing the economy instead of pushing through healthcare reform. The reason Romney and other professional politicians are constantly criticizing the president, is because they are in the pockets of BIG OIL or BIG BUSINESS and they want to perpetuate the status quo...you know, the status quo that allows money to run the country rather than allowing individuals who truly represent the majority of U.S. citizens to set policy. And don't bring up that "Socialism" crap! If wanting the power of government to lie in the hands of the people is "Socialism", then our country's founding fathers were Socialists. Their intent in drafting the Constitution and providing checks and balances within government structure was to prevent the country from being ruled by an elite class.
