A word of advice for all political reporters: you need to start challenging politicians in your interviews, like Norah O'Donnell challenged Newt Gingrich and Herman Caine, yesterday. You need to start reporting in a factual way on the issues. Don't let the spinmeisters shape reality as they see fit. If you are presenting the facts, you are doing your job.
It's not going to happen Amy. They're afraid the politicians won't come back on their show if they challenge them with facts. The only way they can get an interview with a politician is to agree to let them lie without being challenged. It's really sad our media has come to this. It all started with Fox (aka tea people GOP republican propaganda machine) letting politicians lie and lying themselves.
Gloria Borger challenged Ron Paul for racist newsletters published under his name, then, in the same interview, she apologised profusely for bringing the matter up. It was disturbing to watch.
I gotta stop watching TV, it all makes me mad.
Mo is absolutrly right. Just look at how Obama refuses to do anything with Fox, yet lines up with NBC and CBS on a regular basis.
WCA
I seem to recall President Obama was interviewed by Mike Wallace not long ago. Funny how, I don't have cable, but the msm makes sure I know what's on FOX, anyway.
Amy, Mike Wallace works for 60 minutes on CBS.
White collar auto--the way fox twists the truth--I wouldn't let a dog on that network.
Chuck Todd--the verb form of "coronation" is not "coronate"--a king is "crowned" at his "coronation".
