SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- With less than 48 hours to go until the Iowa caucuses become fodder for the history books, Texas Gov. Rick Perry says that the "marathon" of the presidential race is actually just beginning.
"This is the first, let's say, mile one of the marathon," Perry said during a Caucus Eve appearance in Sioux City. "I've run a marathon before. I felt great at mile one. As a matter of fact I felt pretty great at mile 17 and 18. At mile 21 you kinda start hitting that wall a little bit. And we'll see who's still running at mile 21."
"I finished my marathon," asserted Perry, an avid runner who says he tries to lace up his track shoes at least four times a week. "And I expect to finish this marathon as well."
The argument continues a case that the campaign has been making privately to potential supporters but that Perry himself did not publicly assert until this morning: that Perry's campaign -- unlike socially conservative rivals Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum -- has the nationwide infrastructure and fundraising ability necessary to go the distance and win the GOP nomination.
The campaign hopes that his 1,500 Iowa precinct captains and throngs of out-of-state volunteers will help boost the candidate above the fourth or fifth place finish predicted in recent polls. Exceeded expectations could remind disappointed supporters of the organizational and financial muscle flexed by Perry's campaign before a series of poor debate performances tempered his brief status as the campaign's frontrunner.
The candidate was introduced Monday by onetime presidential hopeful Steve Forbes and was joined by a throng of Texan lawmakers and supporters in addition to about 100 Iowans at a rustic hotel festooned with taxidermic creations.
Perry, who yesterday appeared publicly only for a brief visit toa West Des Moines church, exhibited renewed energy Monday as he echoed past swipes at rivals Rick Santorum and Ron Paul.
"I understand what pork-barrel politics is all about. I scratch your back, you scratch mine," he said of Santorum, whose past earmarking is also the target of a new web ad by the campaign. "That is not conservative governing, That is fleecing America and it's gotta stop."
But, as usual, Perry saved his harshest language for the man whose job he's eying.
"America, on the cusp of bankruptcy?" he asked incredulously. "Because [Barack Obama] truly believes if you print enough money that you'll create jobs. And we will expose him for the fraud that he is every day," he said. "I look forward to the opportunity."

Medicare can not be dropped as a medical plan because to do so one is not entitled to their Social Security benefits .
The US became a Known Welfare State for Business after the Financial Crisis . The Crisis was stopped but the root cause of payoffs and pork for businesses are still in the picture as the candidate points out in his discussion of pork . The problem is that the corruption will remain , and Obama change was not in corruption but making more of it . The taking out of the pocket of elderly of Medical Benefits is taking from those who worked for them . Obamacare dilutes the benefits and denies benefits to those who worked for them . Yes he extends benefits to new classes of people such as immigrants/ Immigrants are entitled to rights they work for here , not free benefits . This is the way it worked for all those immigrants who came to this country before Obamacare . The same is true of those in prision or those drug addicts or those who are doing illegal work . Medicare has been turned to Medicaid to make those who earned better benefits bankrupt. Medicare used to be based upon quarters worked . Now it is a free give away of a poor medical plan leaving out those who have uncurable diseases . The Obamacare say those who have uncurable disease or chronic disease like cancer that is uncurable should not be treated or be treated according to a limited benefit schedue. Knowing this if you gave the average 20 year old the choice of taking Medicare or allowing their portion of Fica or tax money that would go to Fica payment to buy their own insurance they the 20 would opt out of Medicare .
((((What in law does this do . Well you have to know there laws on many State books that still empowered slavery for many years after the Civil Law . You could not bring various civil law suits in the South for years after the civil war because these laws were not declare illegal even with a constitutional amendment prohibiting slavery . What is the point of this us the citizens . Well what this is called is " precedent"in law or case law. Now , the Federal government passed a law saying slavery is prohibited . The problem is that laws on the books said that N or Black people could not own property , or free black could not own property . The Black man, Obama , makes a law like the laws against blacks . The law allows taking away the property right of insurance ,called social security , in case , you all don't accept his slavery of a poor medical plan for the retirees called Medicare . Besides stealing your Fica money which in fact is spent when you give it to them , is the fact , they choose to tell you , yu have to take Medicare or lose your Pension payments under Medicare . If Democrats are reelected this garbageremains. This becomes very complicated after time as AT THIS TIME THE INTENTION TO STEAL FICA BENEFIT OR YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY PENSION IS IN LAW . IF YOU OPT OUT OF MEDICARE THEY STOP INTEND NOT TO PAY YOUR PENSION . This show they own this money . This shows that Social Security or your current Fica payment is a tax , not a payment for your pension . This is the precedent . This WAS NOT THE INTENTION OF THE FICA MONIES YOU PAY OR THE SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM . IF YOU ARE 20 YEARS OLD NOW , by all rights you should demand to be out of the Social security System . If the government want to declare Social Security a tax , you would have a right to deduct this tax from your current income . Since it is a tax in fact but not in law it is a theft of your income . Any reduction in pension or fica payments which the current administration give the phony name as payroll deduction is really a reduction in a tax in fact , and will be used as a proof in the law game called precedent . You all are accepting the idea that this is a tax . Why ? You have now a double skewing of the usage of the money as a tax and the Obama decision to take Your pension fica Social away from you if you don't do as you are told .
What is going on now is simple . Rich people will either buy insurance to cover what Medicare doesn't pay and or pay doctor privately. My doctors thanks to Obamacare and this Black man who seeks to enslave me , has told me , he will not take Medicare after 10 years before Obamacare and the crap coming out of it . Now he want to be paid as a private doctor from me as my Medicare Benefits are controlled by the contractor who has a new right under Medicare which is stop payment for any Maintenance Disease . So there are all kinds of lawsuits based on Obamacare with each faction of a Maintenance disease suing the Federal Government so e.g. , people who are diabetic are suing because there benefits that are chronic are being denied . Each group of chronic disease , e.g. diabetic vs Aylmer's disease , is being divided instead of dealing with the corruption of the promise of Maintenance care which is to be expected for a medical plan for the elderly . Now the reality is worse , you 20 year olds are being payroll TAX decreases which will used politically to backfire on your rights . You are being be fed a new line . The line of the Evil Obama and his party and all who voted to kill and steal benefits of the elderly and disabled wil be :
Well we showed you that Fica was a tax when we gave part of it back to you . THEY HAVE PASSED A LAW BY PRECEDENT . WHEN THE question goes before the Supreme Court and someone calls Social Security an illegal tax , they will pull out precedent , and win that Social Security is a tax . Social Security is not welfare , nor Medicare . Obama being a slaver want to give rights your parents worked for away . You see workers before Medicare had corporations paying for their retirees benefits and people had a choice if the firm did not provide retiree benefits to go to another firm that had them , or to work for the public sector which had them . During the years before Medicare , a person would have a real benefits package handed them . They would be attached to the firm benefit package after retirement .
Medicare benefits was a political plan that Johnson used to gain votes from business who made money from the Vietnam war , or benefited from this war . This benefit all business too that had retiree benefits because they no longer had to pay for these benefits for their employees . It was supposed to buy H Humphrey an election and failed because Blacks and the Poor who had their sons in Vietnam or a threat to go to Vietnam voted against this ploy . The same is true of the Civil Rights acts of Johnson . Get this to get Black to vote for him Johnson passed Civil Rights legistlation . The point if the average black person want to vote for Obama today , they did what what they are being asked to do today , and they took , the best of the two bad alteratives , the voted the Democrats out despite the offer of Civil Rights law for the blood of Blacks who serve in unequal amounts compared to Whites during Vietnam. The Black had it figured out . Now they have to vote , I hope for Republican , not because Republicans are worth anything but to protest the thefts of Obama and Obamacare to the hard working Black person who earned better medical care and earned their entitlements and earned cost of living increases by work or by service to their country . Now , you got Obama is a traiter to the elderly becasue he hasn ;t worked for it . He is privilege amount Blacks . He promise to change Washington has been a joke . He gave a worse set of laws than existed before . He not only did nothing , but actually assisted in making people homeless . This was done in illegel mortgages . Many of the bad mortgages were the result of breaking laws and or making sure that the law was broken or assisting in it . This is when the people who obviously did not have credit were encourage to get mortgages to buy homes . The essential point of the pay off is the banks and mortgage companies not only have not been subject to their illegal part in breaking the law , but those thrown out by these mortgages have had these illegal contract upheld by the courts. This is Washington where the thieves walk away becasue they have the most money.
Well now Black people who are elderly and have worked for years to earn Social Security and Good Medical benefits would be fools to vote for the thief Obama and his party , but since the other party is just as corrupt why change over .

As to the myth that Socialism doesn't work , is that the Chinese got this figured out , and they used the best ism to the benefit of their country and NOT FOR PORK WHICH INDIVIDUAL PROFIT .

Eventually, the conservatives will coalesce around one candidate other than Romney. Since they represent 75% of the primary voters, they should control who is the nominee. Romney strategy is to keep the 5 conservatives fractured so none can rise up to challenge him. He has the money to beat down whomever rises up unless it is Paul or Santorum who he is not threatened by. Either Gingrich or Perry are the ones who could topple Romney's race to the nomination.
