A Super PAC supporting Ron Paul -- Revolution PAC -- has produced an online web ad in an effort to push back on racism charges stemming from newsletters published under Paul's name.
In the ad, an African-American man describes in his own words how, in 1972, his white wife had complications with her pregnancy. And in Texas, he says, no doctor would care for her or deliver their bi-racial child.
The man, James Williams, claims one hospital nurse even called the police on them after his continued inquiry. Williams then says Dr. Paul took care of his wife and delivered their baby, which was a stillborn. He says Paul didn't charge them for the service, saying he would take care of everything, and they never received a bill from the hospital.
Yesterday on WHO Radio, Jan Mickelson played a portion of the ad for Paul and C-Span cameras were in the studio. The Texas congressman appeared very touched by this man's words, afterwards saying he didn't remember that specific situation. Paul said it was just the way he practiced medicine.
"That is what I thought my responsibility were, but I never had the knowledge how grateful he was and to me that is magnificent."

A government of the people, by the people, for the people. Ron Paul is the one and only person to propose more of what we want. Intriguing. He has found our soft spot.
But my scepticism stems from his Texas roots, as most everything we've been seen from Enron, Bush's, Perry, and so forth left bitter tastes. Surprises, that's what we get from Texas. A big ol' "SURPRISE"!
Beware.
Search Google images for "Don Black Stormfront.org" In the top row, see a pic of Ron Paul posing with the current KKK member.
Then tell me he is not racist again.
Google images eh? Whew. Thats some hard evidence right there.
Look at what the Supreme Court decision on campaign financing has caused. A corporation is not a person and should not be treated as such, it is a business owned by people.
More money buying more candidates.
I see many comments from people who, to put it mildly, dislike Ron Paul. Frankly I am amazed how someone can hate someone else they don't really know. Yes the Main Stream Media has painted a really bad picture of Dr. Paul, but do you believe everything the MSM pushes? So I ask all of you to place your hate or opinion of Ron Paul aside for just one minute, hear me out, and then answer a few questions.
Do you have low expectations for the president? When asking people I work with questions about politics, In most cases it seems the round about answer to most questions were, " It doesn't really matter who the president is..." and.... "Ron Paul wouldn't be able to do any of the things he says... he is just like another Obama... it just does not matter who the president is.... we're stuck with it..." or I even hear "... He won't be president..." or " They won't let him be president..." as if everyone knows JFK was an example of "They" having control. It just seems like our country no longer has a Constitution, and the best we can hope for is to finish out our lives without placing a major personal debt on our children. "Don't cause waves... go with the flow... business as usual... find something to entertain us so we can look the other way.... we're lucky to have the rights we have....." Basically a positive attitude towards gloom and doom.
1. So ask yourself, who am I voting for, and why?
2. Why do they want to be president?
3. What are they willing to sacrifice for our country?
Here are my answers.
1. Ron Paul, because I trust he will follow the Constitution, which is the foundation our our great country.
2. Stop unnecessary wars, reinstate our civil liberties, stabilize our economy.
3. His life. (not the lives of American children fighting in endless wars for greed and power of a simple few who profit from war.)
I think we know the possible actions that can be taken to make sure Ron Paul does not alter the current system. Ron Paul knows that when "They" say, "You Won't be president!".... "They" mean it.
So I ask you, if Ron Paul was taken out (JFK, MLK, ETC) how would you feel about that? Happy? Sad? Scared? Angry?
If the time comes where "We The People" must take arms to regain control over a corrupt government... what side would you be on, America's or the New World Order?
So I leave you with this thought, Just voting for Ron Paul is not the answer. We must let it be known that we stand behind him, and that we know who "They" are... and we will not stop until "They" no longer have control. And if "They" decide to harm or eliminate our leader.... "They" will be eliminated!
FREEDOM IS NOT FREE. ARE YOU AMERICAN or JUST LIVE HERE and SPONGE OFF THE SYSTEM?
Ron Paul? Really?
Is this the guy you think should be President?
The following is HIS words from his Manifesto - NOT his newsletters.
http://mises.org/books/freedomsiege.pdf
From Page 25:
That is what you want? This is what you stand behind?
If a woman doesn't put out for her employer the employer has the right to fire her?
Paul is not electable.
Undoubtedly if Paul gets the nomination Cain would be his running mate - oh, except Cain is Black.
Yes I do think Ron Paul would be one of the greatest presidents this nation has ever had.
Dr. Paul on the other hand would never take credit for his work. He would say something like, "I was doing my job...".
Yes, and No to me wanting the liberties above in your post.
Freedom requires responsibility.
There are bad people on this earth, and bad things will happen, with or without a law. As for the Federal Governments role in this, we would have to look at the Constitution, and decide if it falls under one of the Amendments. If not, people have the right to take an idea to the State Government and pass laws to better protect those people in that state. However, the laws made in your state may not be required in Alaska, and therefore Alaska does not have to spend State Money and Resources to regulate or enforce that specific law. We have the basic laws in place in each state right now. The rules would not change much... well, it depends on your State, and who you elected, but it releases the States from Federal Control, allowing States to better suit the people that live there.
A good example would be any store you have been unhappy with a purchase or customer service and wanted to get a common sense problem solved.... and you can't....
If only there was an owner who you could just say, "I spend a lot of money here, and if you can't help me, I won't come back..." and the owner not wanting to loose your business, apologizes, gives you more than you expected and some.... and you walk away very happy....
Or
Corporation (Fed) where the highest person you can get to, shrugs his or her shoulders and says, “I’m sorry, there is nothing I can do…”
or
The owner can't help you because, he could not help the last guy and he was black, and since you’re white, he could be charged with racial discrimination, or if you were a girl, sexual discrimination, or gay, or blue dots.....
Really, that is what I have a hard time standing behind. We The People control the market conditions by how we spend our money and where. The Boys Club can now be just for boys if they wish. If you don’t like that, don’t send your kids there. It’s that simple. If a shop smells bad, don’t go in… but don’t try and get the Federal Government to pass a law to require all shops to smell the same way.
I do not condone sexual harassment nor have I had a problem with one. I do not flirt with people I work with, and if I feel I'm in an unacceptable situation, I am strong enough to speak out and stop the situation without making it an ongoing issue. I know that there are those that are weak and need their hand held, and that would be a good law to vote on at the State Level.
Ron Paul is very electable. He of all people, I trust to do the right thing, every time. I do not worry about shady deals or “Federal Government Gone Wild” in other countries, that ends up upsetting a bunch of dangerous people, that now will try and blow something of ours up....
Ron Paul wants to create trading relationships that do not require us to get involved in their politics. If they have slave labor tee shirt shops, we don't have to trade tee shirts with them. They may have a company wanting to export into the US, and they meet our requirements…. (Giving an incentive to do the right thing, rather than using our military to kill thousands of innocent people in the process of changing owners to run the same shop, the same way), is what I would like to see.
We are borrowing money from China to fund military in Australia, to prepare for conflict with China. How much more screwed up can we get?
As far as Mr. Cain being a running mate for Ron Paul, I don't really think of all of the people that could qualify for the position, Mr. Cain would be on the top of the list. I personally do not know who his running mate will be, but I'm sure it will be someone you respect and you will see that the change that was promised 4 years ago can be a reality.
#1
You don't even have to look at the amendments. Look at the Declaration of Independence.
It is the JOB of the government to insure the citizens are treated fairly, justly, and morally.
Paul goes by the principle that the corporation can treat the citizen any way they want.
It was never an issue of State Government it was an issue for the Federal Government.
There were no states when the declaration of independence was written. If the Government fails to establish a foundation to protect Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness then the Government must be overthrown.
Paul's Manifesto is in complete opposition to our foundation.
He is about as anti-American as you can get.
He is not electable at all. In the General election he would be torn apart. His history will destroy him. I am only an insignificant person with access to the internet. Imagine what a well oiled political machine would do with his Manifesto.
If Ron Paul is Anti American, we have more problems than him getting elected president. That means that all of the people who are going to elect him president are Anti American... which would be bad because then we would have an Anti American Elected Country....
or
Maybe he and the rest of us aren't so crazy after all, and make things better for you and the rest of the Real Americans who read his Manifesto.
Ron Paul has never been torn apart by anyone (at least I have never seen it). Most of the people who really know him, admire him. Ron Paul has a passion to help others. He is the last person you would have to worry about. Ron Paul's history is one of the reasons I am supporting him. The stuff you and the MSM are pushing is nothing more than a distraction from the real problems that Ron Paul not only warned us about, but the increasing danger of the current system fully falling apart leaving you and I and a billion other folk to pick up the pieces.
Ron Paul will make Mr. Obama wish he had not become president. It's going to be ugly.... but I guess you know that. :)
His followers are a cult.
You have a cult mentality.
READ THE MANIFESTO.
Then sit back and try to look at it honestly.
Ask yourself, "Am I following this man because he is right ? Or am I supporting this man because I have been sold on him?"
Take a good hard look at what he says.
Do you think it should be alright for a company to fire someone because they won't sleep with the boss?
He says that is the company's right.
How does that sit with you?
Next ask yourself does this guy really have a chance to be elected President of the United States?
I don't think he does.
“His followers are a cult.”
Just because we believe and trust in a man to do the right thing for America?... and you believe the people who are raping America….?
“You have a cult mentality.”
SOMEONE CALL ME A DOCTOR! (Dr. Paul)
“Ask yourself, "Am I following this man because he is right ? Or am I supporting this man because I have been sold on him?" “
If I was being sold something, it would be people like you trying to sell me fear and lies about a person who wants to take on the corrupt system that has killed thousands of innocent people, bankrupted most of America, and uses our money for illegal secret dealings…. I am voting for him because “I Trust Him” to follow the rules that makes America a true Republic.
“Take a good hard look at what he says.”
Yes, That is why I am voting for him.
“Do you think it should be alright for a company to fire someone because they won't sleep with the boss?”
No I do not think it is alright for a company to fire someone because they won't sleep with the boss. I also don’t think it is OK for that same company to get taxpayer money to give the “Boss” a fat bonus because the “Boss” donates millions of dollars to XYZ’s campaign.
“He says that is the company's right”
No, He says “Obviously the morals of the harasser cannot be defended, but how can the harassee escape “some” responsibility for the problem? Seeking protection under civil rights legislation is hardly acceptable. If force was clearly used, that is another story, but pressure and submission is hardly an example of a violation of one's employment rights.”
“How does that sit with you?”
On a case by case basis, it would have to be looked at from both sides to determine if this was a crime.
“Next ask yourself does this guy really have a chance to be elected President of the United States?”
Oh Yes!
Look, I am not perfect, I have said things in my past that I don’t agree with now, and I have done things in my past that I am sorry for. Because of my past mistakes, should I think I am a lost cause and should not have an opinion anymore, or that my life experiences have not made me a better person? I am more than a few sentences of my past. Ron Paul is not perfect, and he would be the first to admit that… but that is why we have a Constitution and a Congress to make sure that Americans have a say in what the president does…. That is, If the American people are not misguided or hidden from the truth.
THAT IS WHY I WANT RON PAUL PRESIDENT.
I am tried of being lied to and mislead.
PEOPLE ARE GETTING KILLED EVERYDAY…
How Does that sit with you?
Nobody is raping America. Although if Paul gets his way, and protection from employer abuse is eliminated, corporations will not only be raping America they will be raping the employees.
Yes it is a cult mentality when you make excuses and turn a blind eye to a personality figure who is your leader. Like most Paul fanatics you seem to worship him.
I simply gave you the information Paul wrote in his manifesto. If that is a lie, the lie come from Paul.
Paul would like to eliminate Government protection from Monopolies, (page 13). That doesn't help the common man that helps big corporations. He likes to claim anti trust legislation interferes with free trade. Just the opposite is true, by protecting against monopolies trade actually becomes more competitive.
On page 16 he says:
I'm not an expert of how Porn works (and I don't intend to dig into it to find out) but I am pretty sure BECAUSE of Government intervention children have been saved from the illegal underage porn industry.
Paul's Free-market, without Government controls, would actually allow the Porn industry to get bigger and more out of control.
On page 17 he speaks on the immorality of Television Wrestling. Without government controls Television would be WORSE not better. Although I think the FCC gets a bit carried away, the Superbowl wardrobe malfunction being a prime example of over reacting. Without Government intervention porn would rule.
Page 19
NO IT DOES NOT. Drug use is often a product of joining in, exploring, or rebellion against the parents, and drugs are easy to get.
Fatalism because...
...really doesn't fit in.
When he suggests that if someone is sexually harassed they should quit their job shows a complete lack of understanding on how difficult it is to GET a job.
He suggests an employer can fire someone if they won't play hanky panky. He is NOT interested in individual rights. He is only interested in the rights of the employer.
His whole thought process attempting to pit the Fed against Individual rights is not about individual rights. It is about the rights of the Corporation (owned/run by an individual) and damn the common man.
Page 25
Paul thinks it is the corporations right to bend you over and give it to you in the rear, no lube needed.
He doesn't care about individual rights, he cares about protecting the wealthy.
On page 28 he criticizes Zoning laws. Those aren't federal laws. The city and county does zoning. He is so determined to tear down the US Government that he accuses them of things they are not responsible for. This actually fits his local Government is good Government objective.
On page 29 he criticizes the Government's ability to seek medical care for a child. Several children have died because medical care was against the parents religious belief.
You said:
Do you think children should die because the parents won't get care?
Do you think bartenders should be allowed to keep serving drunks? Paul does. (pg 29)
I really don't want to write a book this pdf is 162 pages long I have only commented on the first 29 pages. There is a lot wrong with Ron Paul.
One thing is certain these ideas make him 100% unelectable. He will never be President because most people in the US see him for the crackpot that he is.
Are you tired of getting lied to? Ron Paul, is lying to you.
OMG!... REALLY?
Look, I’m not going to sit here and reply to every single line of a pdf where you have given your interpretation of the worst case scenario, of a free country.
You are basically saying that Ron Paul wants to legalize ice cream, for all of the reasons ice cream can kill someone. It’s beyond absurd.
You have ignored what I said before about responsibility for your own actions in a free country.
Do you believe the Constitution is what makes America Great?
Do you plan on being that boss that fires someone because they won’t sleep with you?
You may be that person who needs their hand held through life because you are not smart enough to make good choices… however, the rest of the class does not want to be punished for your ignorance. Again, The Federal Government’s job is to protect your liberties, not take them away for the “What ifs…”
Ok, so let’s change it up here…. Who do you want me to vote for? Who is so great that you are willing to destroy the rest of the Constitution for?
Please share?
All American's Should Preserve The Liberties Granted By God And Guaranteed By The Constitution Of The United States Of America
The Federal Government should protect the people and the 50 states from invasion as stated in the Constitution as well as enforce the laws congress has enacted for our great nation.
You have to consider the worst case scenarios, because they will happen. Too many people.
Besides much of what I listed are not worst case scenarios, it is simple stupidity on Paul's part.
He claims the $10 billion dollar U.S. Porn industry uses children. THEY DO NOT.
Child porn is very illegal, what I have seen in news events is people from OUTSIDE the industry creating, trading, and selling these images. Or it comes from overseas, not the US.
He lies to make a point.
Time and time again he lies to make his points.
He goes into his ideas of fatalism for the reason people use drugs. Kids don't use drugs because of any "bizarre concept of rights".
He says government control should be local then criticizes Zoning ordinances which is done at the local level.
NO. But I have known some that would. There are a lot of them that would/do.
Those kinds of lawsuits pop up all the time. Many never make it to lawsuits because they hire illegals that are afraid to report.
Even with our laws this is not an uncommon request that could easily become a common demand.
The reason these laws came into existence is not because of what if's. They were made in response to ACTIONS that were done. No "what if's" about it.
What part of the constitution do feel is being destroyed? Then maybe I can suggest a candidate.
Paul would rather destroy lives. You could vote for many of the other candidates if you want to maintain the quality of life for each American.
I am a Born Again Believer, but I can say with absolute certainty this Nation was not founded on any religion.
The Treaty of Tripoli makes it very clear.
The Translation was sent to the floor of the Senate in 1797. It was read out loud, and unanimously approved. John Adams, signed it.
The intent of our founding fathers is very clear.
Under Article 11:
“As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; ...”
This was the intent of our founding fathers, it was approved unanimously and signed into LAW.
"What part of the constitution do feel is being destroyed?"
Here is one example:
Amendments I, IV & VI via the US Patriot Act
Freedom of association: To assist terror investigation, the government may monitor religious and political institutions without suspecting criminal activity.
Freedom from unreasonable searches: The government may search and seize Americans' papers and effects without probable cause to assist terror investigation.
Right to a speedy and public trial: The government may jail Americans indefinitely without a trial.
Right to legal representation: The government may monitor conversations between attorneys and clients in federal prisons and deny lawyers to Americans accused of crimes.
Right to liberty: Americans may be jailed without being charged or being able to confront witnesses against them. US citizens (labeled "unlawful combatants") have been held incommunicado and refused attorneys.
"Then maybe I can suggest a candidate."
I'm waiting...
But I want to know who "you" are voting for president.
Not some diverted BS slamming Ron Paul, or a general "Anyone but Ron Paul" answer.
Can You Do That?
Nobody is prohibiting the free exercise of any religion, unless that religion goes against the law of the land, or causes harm to others. FLDS, and churches that let children die because they don't believe in Doctors being two examples. This has nothing to do with the Patriot Act.
I am not a big fan of the Patriot Act. I think it has added a bit too much of a "Big Brother" atmosphere. We are terrified of terrorists = they won.
The First Amendment:
Monitoring religious and political institutions does not violate that amendment.
The Patriot act actually condemns discrimination against Arab and Muslim Americans. (Title 1)
The Patriot Act is a Rotten piece of work that should be removed but that doesn't justify the even greater harm that would come if Paul was elected.
Adding another wrong would serve no benefit.
Who am I voting for?
If Huntsman was to get the nomination he would be my likely choice, since he won't I will end up voting for Obama.
There is no perfect person, in my soon to be 60 years, there never has been.
There have been some very, very wrong people elected - Bush was one of those.
There have been some very, very wrong people running - Paul is one of those.
Thanks for answering the question with minimal Paul Bashing.
Obama.... well, good luck with that.
Oh, by the way, you may want change your strategy a bit. If Paul is such a loser in your eyes, you may want to help him win the nomination to insure Obama gets a second term... right? Unless, you fear Paul has the best chance of beating Obama, then I would agree with your Paul bashing.
Best of luck. Thanks for keeping it real.
Best of luck to you too.
I'm not a big Obama fan. As you can tell I would prefer Huntsman, at least so far.
We are fortunate that no matter who wins it is unlikely they will totally destroy the Nation, and every 4 years we have another revolution.
We need to all realize there are more than the two choices given to us by the 2 party system and the wizards on tv, and in the mainstream of what passes for media.
Hey buddy, if you don't like sears you can go to penneys, or back to sears, then back to penneys, then sears, then penneys, sears, penneys, sears penneys, searspenneysearspennyserpenysrpny....,or.... vote for Ron Paul. Yes, He is different. We NEED different.
Amazes me how people are so lazy that they don't even want to have the hassle of free choice! They are willing to eat what they are given.Ron Paul 2012 Look at his record!Vote for freedom!
Ron Paul is demonstrably the only candidate who has stated with certainty he will stop our military presence overseas and not deploy our military unless an invasion is imminent or Congress declares war.
So what you're saying is, MURDERING people is just fine by you, but if you happen to have owned a paper where less than .01% of its content has been judged to have been racist, but which he did not write and has repudiated, it's far better to vote for the guy that supports murdering innocent women and children?
Do you even know what hate speech IS?!?!? What could possibly be more hateful than the position I have just outlined? Paul WILL STOP THE WARS. But maybe the wars are just fine with you, as long as brown people are getting killed.
Paul is the only candidate who has advocated a halt in the Drug War, which disproportionately affects nonwhites. You could vote for him, or for any of the other candidates - who apparently don't care HOW MANY people of color are imprisoned, serving prison terms 17 times greater than white people that commit the same crime. Now who's the hateful one?
Frankly, everyone knows this and I'm certain you know it too. What then might your motive be?
We all wonder.
