The final push: Romney's 770-mile Iowa sprint

MASON CITY, IOWA-- Mitt Romney's campaign schedule for the final four days of his Iowa campaign turns an old axiom on its head.

While veterans of recent bus tours by Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry likely won't be impressed, with 10 stops in three-and-a-half days, and some 770 miles of driving between them, the final stretch amounts to both a both a marathon and a sprint for the Romney campaign.

Touching down Saturday afternoon after a roughly 24-hour New Hampshire detour, Romney will criss-cross Iowa one last time -- putting roughly enough miles on his bus to get from Boston to Columbus, Ohio -- and hitting towns and counties which largely supported him four years ago.

On Saturday, Romney will make two stops in Northwest Iowa -- in Le Mars and Sioux City -- both of which are in counties Romney carried in 2008. Sunday morning, Romney visits Atlantic Iowa, in a county he lost to Mike Huckabee by 6 percentage points. Council Bluffs, where Romney will hold an afternoon rally, is Iowa's second-largest county, and Romney carried it by 11 points in 2008.

Overnight Sunday and into Monday, Romney will travel across the state to campaign in Dubuque and Davenport, on the state's Eastern border -- more friendly territory for Romney. Romney won Davenport's Scott County by 11 points, and Dubuque county by a whopping 23 points.

Monday afternoon the campaign works it's way to Cedar Rapids, where Romney pulled off a 5-point win four years ago, then terminates in Des Moines for events Monday night and Tuesday. It is there, in Polk County, which Romney lost by 13 points last cycle, where Romney will host his final rally and caucus-night event.

In what some see as a sign of the campaign -- and the candidate's -- confidence of a win or a very close second-place finish in Iowa, Romney will overnight in Des Moines, and conduct morning-show interviews there Wednesday -- rather than go straight to New Hampshire.

The campaign's explanation for staying the night? Eric Fehrnstrom, a Romney senior adviser, told NBC's Andrea Mitchell today simply, "We want a well-rested candidate."

Ferhnstrom added Romney will leave for New Hampshire Wednesday -- at a "more sensible hour."

Despite B. Hussein Obama-Endorsed 'Occupy' Protesters, Socialism is Looked Upon as Negative by 60% of Americans. AND ONLY LOOKED UPON POSITIVE BY 31% OF AMERICANS. Aha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!

According to the Pew Research Center, not even the B. Hussein Obama-endorsed 'Occupy' protesters can change the fact that Americans look upon Socialism as negative and Capitalism positive. Even with all of B. Hussein Obama's rhetoric and railing against Capitalism, he loses the battle.

Socialism was looked upon negative by 60% and favorable by only 31% (that 31% is you Leftist, Liberal, Socialist, Marxist, Democrat, Left wing Kooks who post on these PMS-NBC threads). Meanwhile, Capitalism had a 50% positive rating and a 40% negative one.

The recent Occupy Wall Street protests have focused public attention on what organizers see as the excesses of America's free market system, but perceptions of Capitalism – and even of Socialism – have changed little since early 2010 despite the recent tumult.

The American public's take on Capitalism remains mixed, with just slightly more saying they have a positive (50%) than a negative (40%) reaction to the term. That's largely unchanged from a 52% to 37% balance of opinion in April 2010.

As stated at Weasel Zippers, looks like Newsweek was wrong, we are all not Socialists now. Imagine that, Newsweek was wrong again. Ha!!!

Americans see B. Hussein Obama as the Farthest Presidential Candidate from Them Ideologically Including All Republicans.

        B. Hussein Obama, the most out of touch candidate for American ideology.

According to a recent Gallup poll, which should cause yet more concern for President B. Hussein Obama for the 2012 elections - Americans see Obama as the farthest candidate from them ideologically than any of the current GOP 2012 primary candidates. Should this really come as a surprise as B. Hussein Obama is the most Leftist, Liberal, Socialist, Marxist, Left wing, Kook and polarizing U.S. President ever elected?!

Although many Americans are not not sure of some of the Republican candidates, they have had THREE YEARS to figure out exactly what Obama's ideology is. 57% consider Obama very liberal/liberal, while 15% polled (who were smoking crack when asked) stating that Obama was very conservative/conservative. If Obama has not yet convinced America that he is not "very liberal" at this point, it is a lost cause. America knows exactly what B. Hussein Obama is and stands for, there is no fooling the American voting public like in 2008.

What should further trouble Obama is that Independents consider B. Hussein Obama the farthest away from their ideology as well. However, just how out of touch are Democrats with the main stream of society? They think B. Hussein Obama is spot on with their ideology. Ha!!!

This is coupled with other polling data showing Obama loses a hypothetical match up with Mitt Romney 45% to 39%.

        B. Hussein Obama's job approval rating is also back down to 41% approval – 50% disapproval as per Gallup. See ya at the polls on November 6th, 2012!!! Can you say, B. Hussein Obama Concession Speech to the new Republican President-Elect on Election Night??!! Hee-hee-hee!!!

I would rather have the candidates stay in one place, in a room with a tv camera, with an open line and let the common citizens nail them with the real questions, for a month.

They come around every four years and avoid the town hall meetings like the plague. Their questions are always pre screened and made up by the media. Once elected, they avoid the public and their questions and we could not remove them from office, even if they commited murder.

And we do the same thing every 4 years.

Aha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! Oh yeah, B. Hussein Obama will wipe the floor with any of the GOP Contenders in the Nov. 6th, 2012 General Election (NOT!).

Robert Reich Predicts Hillary Clinton Will Replace Biden as VEEP on 2012 Obama Re-election Ticket

            B. Hussein Obama's political shell game - Robert Reich predicts Left wing Kook & has-been U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will be in and Leftist, Liberal, Socialist, Marxist, Democrat, Left wing Kook Vice President Joe Biden will be out as Veep on B. Hussein Obama's 2012 Presidential re-election ticket.

This is certainly not something that we have not heard rumored or speculated before. However, according to Reich he has no inside information to come to this conclusion, only a hunch. Reich states that B. Hussein Obama needs to stir the passions and enthusiasms of a dis-illusioned Leftist, Liberal, Socialist, Marxist, Democrat, Left wing Kooky base and an increasing poor U.S. economy & poor American jobless rate.

In other words Reich is saying that B. Hussein Obama needs to create a diversion (distraction from his abject failure of a presidency) and play a political shell game so that "We the People" will pay more attention to a change rather than the failed "Hope & Change," manure that B. Hussein Obama promised in 2008, but has never delivered on.

Let alone a continued poor U.S. economy that has millions of Americans STILL out of work. B. Hussein Obama obviously cannot run on his record (a record of failure & recession), so Reich wants B. Hussein Obama to play political diversion games. How nice. Reich then goes on to say that this would set up Hillary Clinton to be the 2016 Leftist, Liberal, Socialist, Marxist, Left wing Kook, Democrat Presidential candidate.

Of course this presumes that an Obama/Cinton ticket would win on Nov. 6th, 2012. But would it work for America?

One, does Hillary Clinton really want to put all her political eggs in Obama's basket and run on the horribly wretched Obama U.S. economy and Socialist/Marxist Obamacare?

            Two
, could Obama and Hillary Clinton really get along, along with adding BJ Clinton to the mix? Talk about the political "Odd Couple."

Three, does anyone really think that Left wing Kook VP Joe Biden is the reason why Obama's job approval numbers are so low? Biden has done everything for this Socialist/Marxist President including selling his soul and acting the fool, even more so than usual.

Four, imagine the political ads against Obama/Clinton taken from their 2008 primary battles.

Five, does Obama have the ability, humility and personality to accept that HE is the problem and Hillary Clinton is his Savior? Hardly, many have already suggested B. Hussein Obama not run for a second term for the betterment of the Leftist, Liberal, Socialist, Marxist, Democrat party. However, that was never an option for Obama's ego. B. Hussein Obama has continually shot down the notion that Clinton and Biden would swap jobs. If he makes such a flip-flop now, it would show just how politically weak "The One," truly is. Also, he would be, if re-elected, a neutered U.S. President and everyone would know who would really wears the "pant suits" in the Oval Office. Ha!! I love it!!

Bill-- Yes, let's learn about Willard, er, Mitt. Born to great wealth, educated at an elite prep school, matriculated at BYU (where else would a good Morman go?) and Harvard. Made millions at Bain, which specialized in making money off the misery of others by breaking up distressed companies, selling the profitable parts and laying off workers while not actually making anything other than money for its officers and stockholders. Did a nice job with the 2002 Olympics and parlayed that into the governorship of Massachusetts. During his term, Massachusetts had a net loss of jobs in a time of national prosperity (not necesssarily his fault, but so much for being a "job creator"). What else should we know about him?

If you love war, debt, someone who cares more about the borders of other countries than our and the destruction of liberties by all means vote for an establishment candidate you have plenty to pick from. From Romney, Bachmann, Gingrich, Perry, Sanatorium, Huntsman, and even Obama it doesn't matter they're all the same. The only different one is Ron Paul he is for the American people and he follows the constitution. He will focus on America not the borders between Afghanistan and Pakastahn he does not support nation building he supports letting nations decide their own fate, I know if another country started telling America what we could and could not do I would be pretty mad and hate them. If you want to restore America with freedom, liberty and sound money please I urge you to vote for Ron Paul. But if you want an establishment candidate that will put our country further into debt and send our military men and women to more useless war's Obama or even Romney are you candidates they are one in the same, but the blood will be on your hands.

What did President Roosevelt say just before the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor?

Roosevelt said.[11] Even though he was intent on neutrality as the official policy of the United States, he still echoed the dangers of staying out of this war. He also cautioned the American people to not let their wish to avoid war at all costs supersede the security of the nation.[

Old. I looked through that link and let me tell you it is full of lies. Ron Paul does value equal rights. He belives in letting abortion be decided by the states. SS is unconstitional, the worst pollution in history was caused by the Soviet Union the more government controll the more pollution, states and the people will do a better job manageing that stuff than government which has clearly failed. The UN undermines our soverginty we can do with out it we do need to get out and stop giving away our money mainy poor peoples money to that useless orinization. We did manage before the UN. Rn Paul is not sexist that is a complete and utter lie he does not discrimanate and never has and never will. He believes the government has no place in marraige and should be decided by the people. Ron Paul does not believe that if there where less gun controll laws 9/11 would never have happend. And he does not have an unatrual obsesstion with guns if you think he is crazy about that then you defenitly believe the founding fathers where nuts to. Ron Paul wishe to put edecation in the hands of each state as there is no one size fits all edecation system that works that has proven to fail. Sounds like a rush spin. If he wants to give everything back to the states, what do we even need a federal governmant for?

Starduck. I don't like George Bush (don't know why you think pulling up Bush will somehow make you right.) and non interventionism means not going around overthrowing governments invading other countries when ever you fell like it. It means have good diplomatic relations trade with all and only going to war when it is necessary as in defense like getting into world war 2. It does not mean never get in a war again only wen it is necessary. Any way Obama=Bush there is not much diffrence Bush bombed 4 countries Obama bomed 6 expanded it by Libya nd Yemen. Again you like an aggressive foreign policy which gets our people killed so my statment stands you love to get involved in other countries affaiers when it has nothing to do with us and it gets our people killed and you support it.

GOP voters lack the intelligence to know what they are FOR.

They only know what they are AGAINST.

Look at how many candidates have been in the lead............I believe Trump was in there once...along with Daffy Duck and the guy from Dilbert cartoons.

You will NEVER get a GOP voter to show enough intelligence to articulate what they are FOR in any candidate.

It's intellectually impossible for a right winger to do.

Not one right winger on the planet will dispute what I've just said.

Or even a right winger not from this planet.........AKA Planet Ron Paul.

What is most needed is the return of “Made In The USA” long term manufacturing jobs. Jobs are what are needed. Jobs will not increase until maker jobs are returned to the USA, is Romney willing to propose a policy of Fair Free Trade?

Fair Free Trade – (Not Balanced Trade) Fair Free Trade - The key to sustainable recovery is the return of manufacturing (maker) jobs to the USA. US American Jobs will not return to the USA until 3 / 4 of our Local Governments adopt a policy of County Wide Fair Free Trade Zones. Where all products and/or services offered for sale/use in “The Zone” (be it county, state, or nation) must be produced and/or provided in accordance with all USA; quality, safety, health, environment and wage standards, and no one is even talking about this option. Go to: www.manifestry.info > Fair Free Trade

The other thing most needed is a president who can work with Congress. Bush was shut out by the Dems his last two years, Obama shut the GOP out the first two years and now the GOP is ignoring him. Romney was a Republican governor with a legislature that was 85% Democrat and much got done. Our country is on the verge of complete economc destruction and we need both parties to work together. Obama has proven he isnot up to the task and Romney has prove that he is. It really is a no-brainer. Of course many will vote their own selfish interests - force makers to give their earning to the takers - but fortunately a majority will care about the country's future and the future of their children.

Bush wasn't shut out, the Dems were complete pussies and should have shut down his socialist spending but didn't.

How how Romney proven he's up to the task to create jobs?

                        You have no idea.

You have no clue what you're talking about do you?

What is the price every single person is going to pay when Romney pays his supporters back should he get into office? The top three organizations that support Romney’s are Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse Group, and Morgan Stanley. How many more billions or trillions of bail outs and favorable Fed 'loans' will the 1% get from Romney while every single american pays more for gas, food and health care because of the inflation that results? How many more wars will Romney start to return the favors of the military industrial complex that supports him? How many thousands of lives will be lost for the profit of the war industry?

I find it hard to believe that anyone would vote for Romney after finding out he made all his millions by buying out companies and systematically dismantling them and putting thousands of workers out of jobs......He also stated that he identifies with the middle-class yet he's worth what ? 635 million! Think what he might do to this country if he gets elected.........

                        People need to wake up!

I can say that Romney is the only credible GOP candidate that cares more about country over party.

                        Newt???.....Party over country.

                        Santorum??........Party over country.....Ohh I said credible candidate.

                        Perry???....Party over country.

Ron Paul??.....Country over party........But again......I said credible candidate.

Bachmann?????....Complete and total whack job....A Bachmann bumper sticker is akin to registering as a sex offender...the public deserves to know who the dangerous people are in society.

                        Huntsman??........Country over party...........Needs more money.

                        Cain????.........Cain over intern..or from behind.

Romney is a leftist turd. He has no interest in saving this country, he just wants to continue the Obama failures as soon as he is elected president. Trust you're instinct about Romney; he is not trustworthy.
