Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney may well be the emerging front-runner heading into Tuesday's Iowa caucuses, according to a new poll of Hawkeye State Republicans likely to participate in the contest.
Romney enjoys a slight advantage over Texas Rep. Ron Paul, according to a CNN/TIME poll released Wednesday; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who's been pummeled by ads in the state, has fallen to fourth -- behind former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.
Romney also enjoys a commanding lead over other Republican candidates in New Hampshire.
Twenty-five percent of likely caucus-goers said they would choose Romney. Paul was the choice of 22 percent, while 16 percent named Santorum, and 14 percent named Gingrich. Eleven percent said they would support Texas Gov. Rick Perry, and nine percent back Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, the winner of August's straw poll.
Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, who's not competing in the state, ranks as the choice of one percent of Iowa Republicans.
The polls reflect shifting political terrain in Iowa since the release of polls earlier this month, which showed Gingrich ahead of his GOP challengers in Iowa. An NBC News-Marist poll released Dec. 4 found Gingrich leading as the preference of 21 percent of likely caucus-goers, followed by Romney at 18 percent and Paul at 17 percent. The Des Moines Register's Iowa poll showed similar results.

In the intervening weeks, the different candidates -- along with super PACs acting on their behalf -- have spent millions on ads in the state. Arguably the most significant expenditures have been made by Restore our Future, a pro-Romney super PAC that has run ads castigating Gingrich, and the Paul campaign, which has also spent to promote the libertarian-minded candidate, and in opposition to Romney and Gingrich.
Santorum has also been the beneficiary of increased social conservative suppoprt, most notably from Bob Vander Plaats, the head of The Family Leader, who endorsed the former senator independent of his group.
The new figures also underscore the fluidity of the GOP field ahead of the Jan. 3 caucus. Gingrich has slid over the past month just as Herman Cain and Bachmann -- who had each led in Iowa at one point -- had faded. The poll points to the possibility of even more shifting in the final days of the Iowa campaign: 54 percent of likely caucus-goers said they will definitely support the candidate they named, but 43 percent said they might change their mind.
Once Iowa's contest is decided, the candidates will head to New Hampshire, the host of the nation's first primary and the cycle's second nominating contest.
Forty-four percent of likely Republican primary voters in New Hampshire said they would back Romney. Paul places second, at 17 percent, followed by Gingrich at 16 percent, Huntsman at nine percent, Santorum at four percent, Bachmann at three percent and Perry at two percent.
Fifty-one percent of New Hampshire primary voters said they've made up their mind, while 45 percent said they may change their mind -- offering hope to the winner of Iowa's caucuses to use a win there as a springboard heading into the Granite State.
The polls, conducted Dec. 21-24 and Dec. 26-27 by ORC, have a 4.5 percent margin of error for the Iowa results, and a four percent margin of error for the New Hampshire results.

As of today, the stock market recently hit a yearly high before correcting, consumer sentiment is rising rapidly, companies have more cash on hand than ever, retail sales are at record highs and unemployment is down to under 380,000 a month. When Obama took over, we were losing over 700,000 jobs a month and growing exponentially, due to Bush Bin Lyin and his criminal gang's trickle down economics where the money trickled down into his corporate masters pockets and created no jobs. His greedy corporate masters still sent thousands of jobs overseas.
So why vote for a lying repuke who will take our country down again.

Well, most Presidential elections have roughly a 50/50 voting ratio for each side. I really doubt that 50% of the voting public is rich when liberals claim it is the 1%'s fault. It is a false argument in an attempt to justify class warfare based on statistical ignorance.

For what it's worth....the "winner" in Iowa has never gone on to be the Republican nominee. That's a fact. (unlike all the other bull shiite out there, that's a fact.)
I wish the media and the politicians would be honest with the public about Iowa. Here is an interesting fact that really shows how really unimportant Iowa is tot he greater scheme of things especially when you think of the millions being spent in Iowa. As of a few days ago, the number of people in Broward County, FL (north of Miami) who have applied for absentee ballots, exceeds the total number of voters who are registered to vote in the entire Iowa caucuses.

Let's take a look at welfare queen Michelle (never tells the truth) Bachmann to see what she is really like.
To answer the questions that most repukes and cracked teapots ask about what are the Bachmann's doing wrong by using public funds to allegedly treat mentally deficient people, like themselves, at their mental health clinic in MN. They are essentially pocketing the money by reading them some passages from the bible. These are two really crazy people.
Here is the answer. They don't help anyone. They just try to brainwash them with fairytale stories of biblical fantasies. Here is a story about the Bachmann's from a Twin Cities, Minnesota newspaper:

Founded in 2003, Bachmann's clinic has taken in nearly $30,000 in state funds and $170,000 in federal money since 2007. Dr. Bachmann has said publicly that God heals people at his clinic and that Jesus Christ is the "Almighty Counselor."
"We are distinctly a Christian counseling agency here in the Twin Cities," he told KKMS radio in 2008. "We have 27 Christian counselors, Christ-centered, very strong in our understanding of who the Almighty Counselor is, and as we rely on God's word and the Almighty Counselor, we have the opportunity to change people's lives."
He continued, "God heals people and if we give opportunity, if we are a willing vessel and we go according to what God's word is, it works."
When people get out her clinic, they are probably worse off than they went in. They probably become the Christian nutcases that think that they see images of Jesus in the shape of vines on telephone poles or images of Jesus in the grain of their bedroom door or images of Mary in the bottom of frying pans or in puddles of water or statues of Mary crying blood.
Once the people come out of her clinic, they really need to go for psychiatric treatment.
This expose does include the $250,000 in farm subsdies that the welfare queen and her husban take from the federal government for their family farm.

People complain about Romney flip flopping, I guess I dont understand that. I would have to question someone that didnt have different opinions as they go. What I felt 10 years ago isnt the same feeling I have today. That would give him an open mind and willing to change things.

Romney has said he would have let the auto industry fail.....2-3 million jobs lost.

Someone has brainwashed the evangelical "Children of the Corn". Complete nuts like Ron Paul spouts off this nonsense about smaller government. He and the other idiots that think his way, want to eliminate all regulatory agencies, as he feels that the people can do things honestly without being regulated- like the republican criminals stealing from the middle class and the poor.
Don't you right wing braindead idiots know why regulations were created in the first place. It all started with the Great Depression of the 20's and 30's where the criminal republican bankers used depositors money to invest in businesses of their friends which were very risky and the stocks of companies that had false balance sheets that said they were making money while they were losing it. When the market crashed, the depositors lost their money as the banks failed. That is why the SEC was created along with the FDIC, to control republican thieves.
Now this nutcase Paul wants to eliminate FEMA. The republican governors look at Paul as a true nutcase. They are first ones to have their hands out for disaster relief help from FEMA. Even Perry had FEMA and a national contingent of firefighters sent by Obama coming to help with the fires.
As time went on, more agencies like the FDA were created to stop false claims about drugs and other foods being made. Such as Coca Cola being able to cure almost any ailment. The drugs you buy today would probably kill you because there would be no control over ther labeling or their quality.
Now right wing criminals like Mitch McDumbell and Ron Paul want to eliminate the EPA. McDumbell's repuke cronies in KY overlooked over 100 safety violations at a large Massey Coal Mine. The mine exploded killing many miners. The repukes that were bought and paid for by Massey and their boss McDumbell should have been prosecuted. By eliminating the EPA, it makes it easier for Massey and others like them to more easily pollute the air and water, while having extra money saved from non- compliance to donate to McDumbell's campaign.
So when you idiots say you want to take back the government and do what with it? Give it to those repukes who want no controls so they can rob and steal from you as they did in the past.
Massey finally settled all of the death claims for $200 million a few weeks ago. It would only have cost them 4 or 5 million to comply with the EPA regulations.
As highlighted recently in a news article, Iowa means nothing when it comes to actual elected convention delegates in the Republican Party. The Iowa caucuses are mostly a media invention. But, this raises serious questions about the interplay of political parties, the news media, and (as always, money), as well as the integrity of the American political system. I hope that the American news media will abandon its fake obsession with the Iowa caucuses and focus on much more important political topics. Iowa is a two-bit player in the political process, yet the news media have made it a "king-maker"...maybe someday a "queen-maker"...shame, shame, shame on the news media for making Iowa a glaring example of the perversions in the American political process.

Then apologized and paid them both off not to say anything about the affair. Then he seduced her again. When the husband complained to congress, he resigned. Or maybe they need "Toe Tappper" in the toilet stall, Senator Larry Craig, who wanted to have sex with someone in a public restroom toilet. This Craig duped his evangelical nutcase followers by telling them that he was a god fearing man. So he tapped the foot of the guy in the next stall several times. Unfortunately for Craig, the guy was an undercover officer and he got arrested. Now we have another evangelical rapist. Dale Richardson, who is a pastor or priest in SC who was supposedly cured by Jesus, has been arrested for raping 3 women in his car and behind his church. I guess Jesus gave him the wong message.
Or should we look forward to the current Governor of Alabama who said he would not help anyone who is not Christian.
However, I think the best repuke candidate with excellent morals is Arnie Schwarzenegger. He jumps anyone he can.
