More 2012: The Outsiders

MASSACHUSETTS: “Outside groups on both sides are spending millions of dollars on the race, highlighting the national prominence of the fight over the seat held for nearly 50 years by the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy. But the level of spending also foreshadows the role that such groups, including special political action committees, will play in many of next fall's big political matchups,” the AP says. “The flood of money and ads from outside the state is expected to surge as the Warren-Brown race intensifies.”

Is there a breakdown on which outside groups and how much. Please don't fall into the trap of a false equivalency. Outside unions spending $2 million is not the same as American Crossroads spending $20 million. If you want some equivalency, demand public financing, end Citizens United. During an election cycle to say (as the Supreme Court Five did) that an ad in opposition to the Affordable Health Care Act is not an ad against Pres. Obama and is not being run in furtherance of support for a specific GOP candidate is just ludicrous.
