Senate passes payroll tax-cut extension. Will House follow?

This morning, the Senate has passed the two-month payroll tax holiday extension by a procedural motion called Unanimous Consent. That means senators were able to stay home and didn't have to fly to D.C. to vote.

The session lasted a total of 1 minute and 29 seconds.

The attention now turns to the House, and we are watching to see if an angry Tea Party member comes out an objects, throwing a wrench into this whole process and requiring the House to come back next week to have a full vote with all members.

Even "angry" teanuts aren't that ignorant; are they?

Yes Rove, Kochs, Cheney and Norquist want their poisonous pipeline, but I think they would like to have the White House back MORE than the oil profits.

I'd be very surprised if they mess this up now.... still, they are assinine, radical wingnuts.

We will see - either way, GREAT JOB PRESIDENT OBAMA! Gitin'-er-done!

It's time the Tea Party gets neutered...and the biggest laugh is that the Republicans are the ones that are going to have to do it.

This is what happens when you make a "deal with the devil"...the GOP sold their soul to the Taa Party for some votes, and now have no control over them...talk about irony!

Are you speaking to Mickey or agreeing with him about the Tea Party? I suspect it's the latter. If so, it says something about defining who is "stupid" and who isn't when the person writing cannot express him/herself well enough that others understand.

I'm not sure reality... where is dubya? Enjoying his ill-gained profits from eight years in D.C. I'll bet.

Keep an eye on him for us will ya?
