Obama agenda: Big money

“First it was a campaign-style speech in the heartland. Then it was a sitdown with ‘60 Minutes.’ Tomorrow, President Obama makes clear he’s in full reelection mode when he addresses his most ardent campaign fund-raisers in Washington,” the Boston Globe writes. “The Democrat is scheduled to speak to some of the Democratic Party’s top financiers during their winter meeting near Capitol Hill. The backers are also slated to hear from Obama for America National Finance Chairman Matthew Barzun, as well as Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.”

The New York Times says the Supreme Court yesterday announced “that it would decide whether Arizona was entitled to impose tough anti-immigration measures over the Obama administration’s objections. The case joined a crowded docket that already included challenges to Mr. Obama’s signature legislative achievement, the 2010 health care overhaul law, and a momentous case on how Texas will conduct its elections.”

Democratic Party’s top financier? Is this a Jon Corzine story?

Maybe the missing 1.2 billion at MF Global is being laundered and sent to Obama's reelection team, in exchange for a pardon from Obama to his best buddy.

Republicans saying NO to extending middle class payroll tax cut in Congress, while pushing for permanent massive tax cut for the wealthy on the campaign trail:

WAKE UP FOLKS!

"There are two very different tax-policy conversations playing out in the Republican Party right now. In Washington, House Republicans are arguing with each other over how small of a temporary tax cut to give the middle class. Out on the primary trail, the Republican presidential candidates are arguing over how huge of a permanent tax cut to give the wealthy.

.....the center of gravity in the party is between a plain extension of the current rates and no tax cut at all, and Speaker John Boehner is trying to win Republican support for the extension by turning it into leverage for a wholly unrelated priority: the Keystone XL oil sands pipeline". A:) He's has been campainging sincehe climbed between the white house sheets the first night.

B:) Sitdown with 60 minutes. More like an infomercial or a campaing commercial, aired by CBS, a wholly owned subsidiary of the democratic party.

    "he's anti-military and american!"

I wanted to comment to this but I wouldn't know where to begin.

I just take comfort knowing that the party of Bush is made up of people like these two IDIOTS!

You think because the Supreme Court is being encouraged by the right to destroy our democracy:

that Democrats should do nothing about it.

You think Democrats would have the decency to just roll over,

And let $millions/billions of undisclosed, $$secret monies from transnationals go into our elections from the right, while everyone else does nothing?

Who is spoonfeeding you that idea?

Jon Corzine A large donor to the democratic party and a good friend of Barney Franks is going to get a free pass on the missing hundreds of millions! Enough said? Where are all of the libtards on this issue?

Free pass from whom? He's still subject to private investor lawsuits. And the SEC isn't likely to let him on the floor of any exchange for a long time. Besides, just how many bankers and other Wall Street types have had to answer for Lehman, AIG and others?

Since it's a private company most people will let the investigators do there job.

How about all that missing tax dollars missing & wasted with no bid contracts in Iraq. But I know that's different. Bush/conservative aren't criminals at all!

Also is the term libtards isn't a insulting term because most of us consider the source...Conservatives!

Any chance that the SCOTUS is going one too many times to the well to with its political decisions? Maybe the deal is: thumbs up on Obamacare to offset thumbs down on minority districts in Texas and thumbs down on leaving immigration laws to only the feds. Would the SCOTUS risk becoming ONLY a political court?
