So no mention of Holder or Corzine's trips to the Hill today on Daily Rundown.

Too Bad, see, since I was aware of the hearing, and wanted to hear some news I had to turn over to CNN this morning. So no Rundown for me.

Hey Dominico - can you do me a solid and tell me what the soup of the day is? Oh, and what were the shameless plugs?

See once I headed over to CNN I really felt no need to come back to Todd. A real shame that, but that's the price you all pay when you ignore newsworthy stories.

Like the classification of Hassan's terrorists acts as 'workplace violence.'

See gang most people don't really care about politics, least not as much as we do. So they do really pay attention to polls, primaries or the like.

But they do pay attention to their wallets, which is why the only relevant poll [at least before a nominee is selected] is the Right Track Wrong Track.

And they do pay particular attention to their safety. They know who Hassan was [a muslim who had been in steady contact with terrorists, and who screamed "Allah is bitchin'" as he gunned down all those unarmed soldiers], so they know what he did was a terrorist act by a muslim, not a disgruntled employee.

So what an fun and interesting day for team blue - Wrong Track pegged at 80%. Excuses and coddling of a muslin terrorist, and MSNBC pretending that F&F and Corzine do not exist.

Maybe that's why Obama is at 51% disapprove in Gallup?

Republicans become less enthused about the 2012 election

Republicans' enthusiasm about voting in the election for president next year has decreased, with 49% of Republicans and independents who lean Republican now saying they are more enthusiastic than usual about voting, down from 58% in September. This narrows the gap between them and Democrats, 44% of whom are more enthusiastic than usual, essentially the same as in September.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/151403/Republicans-Less-Enthusiastic-Voting-2012.aspx

I wonder if this is a statement about how they feel about their Presidential field. Or just realizing that the platform is too radical.

I'm guessing the Republicans nationally are feeling like Nevada and Delaware Repulicans felt after Sharon Angle and Christine O'Donnell became their Senate candidates. They are probably thinking something along the lines of, "OMG, my party, the Republican Party, is just as stupid and crazy as all those liberals that don't get their news from Roger Ailes approved sources say they are!"

uh nisl - the crimes are very clear. He will admit to them - not knowing where the money is-today. Any doubt that if it were you or me we'd hae already done the perp walk.

You do remember the French toad that banged that hotel maid. Did they wait to complete the investigation or did they arrest him right away. Why the disparity nisl?

Corzine needs to be arrested and charged, i.e. put in jail.

Should he have the financial ability to bail himself out, great.

But no need to delay the initial arrest. The Preliminary hearing will be delayed and charges can always be added.

Oh and nisl, here another thing I suspect you don't understand. I am not a criminal lawyer. They deal with crimes and criminals. The charges are brought by the DA or some other government authority.

I am a civil attorney. I deal with judgements and claims brought by civil litigants.

But I do watch Law and Order, so I got that going for me. How about you nisl?

nisl - you A-OK with the classification of Hassan? You think Holder/Obama/politics/political correctness played a role in that?

You think that is going to piss off more than just us bitter clingers?

I call BS. There is no way you are an attorney of any sort. Your frightful ignorance points towards a marked lack of education. The idea that you could pass the Bar would point towards a serious weakening of the US legal profession.

Dennis: JAS1: [website]

Blago didn't look so smart yesterday. He used his kids to attempt to shield himself from a longer prison sentence. One wonders if Rod thought much about his kids while he was committing his crimes, maybe thinking how their lives would be without him if he had to go to the slammer. I doubt the thought crossed his mind, until yesterday anyway.

Rod doesn't look so smart today though. Like other pols, he had all the bravado, all the fancy speeches, all the plans that would "help the people, help the 'little guy'". Of course he'd skim a little off the top for himself, a handling fee as it were. He thought he was entitled, you know, because he "helped people". His state, Illinois, besides being the most corrupt state, now is one of the most broke states (CA and NY being the others). Illinois is a real blemish on this county's landscape, but for some reason, the voters there keep electing crooks.

So how does the most corrupt and one of the most broke states help the "little guy"? Rod successor has an answer - he raised income taxes and corporate taxes. But Illinois is still broke. Yeah, another smart guy with all the answers. Illinois seems to be full of these kind of guys.

fuzzy44 - Yesterday he kept screeching, "Why isn't Corzine in jail," over and over again. Now he is saying being arrested and charged is the same thing as being in jail, which is clearly not the case and reeks of CYA. He knows he is an idiot and is just trying to deflect us from coming to that conclusion.

Also too, he doesn't understand why the "French Toad" was arrested and Corzine wasn't. I'm guessing he is just exercising his ignorance glands because the "French Toad" in question was arrested at the airport on his way out of the country. That is something called a "high flight risk", I'd try to explain the concept to him, but he lacks the ability to comprehend, so why bother?

One of the things we see with Illinois is a similarity with how Obama is trying to run the country. Gov. Blagojevich's successor raised both income taxes and corporate taxes. Income taxes are paid by all, rich, poor, and everyone in between. Not sure how that helps the "little guy" as Obama likes to refer to the "common man". But more egregious is the corporate tax. Big corporations in Illinois threaten to leave the state over these high taxes. To stop them from leaving, Illinois cuts deals with these big corporations, reducing their tax burden to stay in the state. That's called corporate welfare, you know, something the Liberals just hate. My guess the corporations have lobbyists helping them out in the state capital too, cutting decent size checks for re-election campaigns.

The little guy, the small business owners, they don't have that leverage. They pay the full tax rate. It appears Illinois is no friend to small business owners. So how exactly is that helping the "little guy" again?

Please do continue nisl.

1. it'll highlight the entire issue - Obama's bundler and 'man on Wall Street' stole $1.6 billion, and lost $40 billion long after Dodd-Frank was enacted; and

2. It will continue to highlight that Corzine is not in jail, and that in fact no charges have even been filed.

#2 will be particularly special after he testifiies today that he has no idea where all that money went.

So please, please please, do continue to point out what a gianormous idiot I am.

Do it every day, on each thread. But try to at least mix it up a tad in the inquiry. For instance we could play the "Where's Waldo [Corzine] game.

Folks, the best thing to do with Spanky is to put him on "ignore". He comes here solely to inflame. As far as his being a lawyer, that is entirely possible. Think bell curve. There's smart ones at one end, there's Spanky's at the other.

Spend some time in a courtroom and you will be amazed at the quality of the legal profession. Passing the Bar is hardly an indicator of competence.

Come on Anna Molly, put that boundless tact aside for a moment, and confirm what I wrote.

That said, I don't think he is a security guard at a law firm, or even the fellow who runs the elevator. However, I can't bring myself to believe that he's an attorney, either. I do think he washes their cars.

I just have a picture of him standing in front of a judge and handing him a pair of BVD's when the judge asks to see his legal briefs.

If you want to get rid of the punk, troll of all trolls, it is not enough to just ignore him. When his posts are collapsed for being reported as No Value (most often off topic) or Inflammatory, which ever the case may be, he disappears.

Back to the topic... I love that Stephen Colbert said he was going to sponsor a debate in his home state of South Carolina. Now that would be worth watching.

Ultimately Newt, the Legend In His Own Mind who says outrageous things on purpose because he loves the limelight and drama of being attacked, is going to be exposed. We all know he was the biggest turd ever squeezed out of Washington, but we are only now learning about all his scams since he left congress.

Just to show what a psychopath he is, Newt is trying to run another "poor children" scam, this time with Donald Trump. That's what a psychopath is, a very self-absorbed narcissist, a pathological liar, who has no conscience or guilt. Redemption my arse. And that's exactly what the TPGOP is doing - while they are putting about $66K in their pocket from the BS BUSH Tax Breaks they block a paltry $1,000 - $2,000 for the average American. In addition, the average American only makes $54K - $12,000.00 LESS than what the 1% saved..............

Guarantee that the TPGOP have handed this election to Obama on a silver platter. They freak show that has been going on and now TRUMP will make it even worse. At lease Romney, Paul and Huntsman were smart enough not to be part of it.
