NJ Gov. Chris Christie blasted President Barack Obama as a "self-interested" and "timid" politician who has sat on the sidelines rather than offer a steady hand to a country that is "starving for leadership."
Speaking at a luncheon of the Republican Jewish Coalition, the onetime-possible-presidential-candidate-turned-Romney-backer used characteristically tough-talking rhetoric to respond to the president's speech yesterday in Kansas.
Christie said that Obama "gave us false hope" on economic matters and "suffers from the need to always be the smartest person in the room" on foreign affairs.
The New Jersey Republican blamed Obama's hands-off approach to the congressional supercommittee on "his own self-interested political timidity."
And he asserted that the president, who yesterday aligned himself with President Teddy Roosevelt, to stop urging other Americans to "meet the moment."
"Get out of your chair and start doing the hard work yourself to make America a better country," Christie said to applause.
Christie did not explicitly mention his preferred candidate, Mitt Romney, but spoke about the need for "true leaders" and decried "blow-dried" political soundbites.
"The era of focus group tested blow-dried answers needs to end. But it cannot be replaced by an era of hyperbole and irresponsible answers," he said after briefly referring to the 2012 presidential contest as "a circus."
Christie heads to Iowa later today to stump for Romney in West Des Moines.

Did he spit out the Krispy Creme first?
Funny he used the term 'blow dryed' in the same sentence when referring to Willard!
Freudian slip perhaps? lol
Only in the land of ConservatiVille is SMART a BAD thing!
Says the guy who hasn't seen his toes in decades!
Headline should read: Afraid to run for the office himself, Chris Christie, instead throws dirt at the President from his sandbox
Chris Christie, instead throws dirt at the President from his
sandboxlitterbox! ;o)I figured this would make the LWNJ's heads explode.
Commence with the predictable fat jokes.
Cause you know he's right.
..and he referred to the 2012 contest as a "circus"!...
did he get his Luntz talking points mixed up?..
but managed to get in the 'false hope', 'make America better', true leaders'....too many talking points against President Obama, so little time.
What's the Fat Man gonna do......wait, I know, eat another Krispy anything...
NJ Gov. Chris Christie blasted President Barack Obama as a "self-interested" and "timid" politician who has sat on the sidelines rather than offer a steady hand to a country that is "starving for leadership."
Timid? This is a man who pushed through health care reform, an act of political courage that defied US Presidents for generations. He was the only candidate that said he would go into Pakistan to kill Bin Laden, and he was attacked for that position. Those attacks didn’t cause Obama to flinch, and Obama accomplished what Dubya couldn’t, or didn’t want to, do. Also too, Christie should avoid using the word “starving,” it makes him sound like he is thinking with his stomach again.
"suffers from the need to always be the smartest person in the room" on foreign affairs.
Yes, Obama is smart and according to Republicans that is bad. I guess if you want a smart President you need to avoid Republicans. Like we didn’t know that already.
The New Jersey Republican blamed Obama's hands-off approach to the congressional supercommittee on "his own self-interested political timidity."
Or it could be that Republicans and Democrats alike asked Obama to stay out of it less it become a partisan fight. But, that would be the truth, and for Christie the truth is kryptonite.
And he asserted that the president, who yesterday aligned himself with President Teddy Roosevelt, to stop urging other Americans to "meet the moment." "Get out of your chair and start doing the hard work yourself to make America a better country," Christie said to applause.
America’s fattest politician telling Obama to, “Get out of your chair,” is truly ironic.
Christie did not explicitly mention his preferred candidate, Mitt Romney, but spoke about the need for "true leaders" and decried "blow-dried" political soundbites.
If Christie doesn’t like “blow-dried” political soundbites he should avoid the GOP and especially Romney.
"The era of focus group tested blow-dried answers needs to end. But it cannot be replaced by an era of hyperbole and irresponsible answers," he said after briefly referring to the 2012 presidential contest as "a circus."
Oh, so Christie is endorsing Obama? Because hyperbole and irresponsible answers are all the GOP has to offer.
Wow--also ironic that Christie calls President Obama "self-interested." Seems to me that it is Christie who is really the self-interested one! Funny--projecting onto others those qualities that he quite clearly demonstrates himself!
"We have met the enemy and he is us!" Pogo by Walt Kelly
Noone and Nothing is MORE SELF-INTERESTED THAN THE NORQUISTIANS, like Christie, who put themselves on a different playing field than ordinary people.
They support corporations that make fools of us by insisting they are natural persons.
They want us to believe that Banks are natural persons.....!!!!!!!
They want us to roll over and accept 'One rule for you working class - and another rule for us".
Christie people think they deserve to pay NO or LOW taxes.
Self-interest, thy name is Christie, GOP/Koch and all the other curtain-call GOP candidates.
Health reform that is super popular.
Well then I'm sure that will be the center piece of his campaign, right nisl?
Speaking of New Jersey Govs - why isn't Corzine in jail yet? Could it be because he is a big wig democrat?
Or maybe Holder is too busy getting ready for tomorrow.
Send in the clowns, don't bother they're here ... martini please, straight up with a twist and some of that hairy pink candy stuff ... are you sure the net is big enough to catch Twisty and his pal Krispy?
Health reform that is super popular.
No, it is not and never was. That is why it took generations to get it passed and why Obama is anything but timid. That's the freaking point.
why isn't Corzine in jail yet?
Because he hasn't gone to trial yet? You really don't know anything about America's legal system, do you?
Maine's Republican governor, Paul LePage, announced today the state is cutting 70,000 people from MaineCare.
If this is what Republicans do when they "get off the chair," I suggest they sit back down and let Democrats run the show. I'm sick of Republicans agitating for tax cuts for the rich, while slashing healthcare for ordinary citizens.

So why does it seem that all Obama does is run around the country blaming the Republicans for everything?
Obama's FY2012 budget? Failed miserably. The Debt Commission Report? Obama ignored his own committees report. Debt Ceiling? The same Debt Ceiling he chided Bush for raising, he wanted it raised so he could spend even more. Obama's promise to halve the deficit by his 4th year? Not happening. The Super-Committee? Obama had zero input on their work, he seemed totally disinterested.
So where is this Obama when it comes to being engaged in the process?
Once again the lady doth protest too much, methinks!
Meghan McCain is either fat or an airhead or both. We have "ugly" jokes about Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, Elena Kagan and Janet Reno. Mention the name Nancy Pelosi and we get the "Botox" jokes.
...BUT DON'T YOU DARE MAKE A FAT JOKE ABOUT CHRIS CHRISTIE!!!
...or maybe the FBI is still conducting an investigation?
(Nah, that couldn't be it.)
"I figured this would make the LWNJ's heads explode"
No, not explode, not this leftie anyway, just shake in a 'who really gives a flying f*** what this guy has to say" sort of way.
Maybe I'll pay attention to him if he decides to run in 2016. Until then, he can stand on the sidelines and shout all he wants
[Speaking of New Jersey Govs - why isn't Corzine in jail yet?]
Gee, Lionel...and here you claim to be a lawyer...
By the way, "counselor", just how many people have you helped evade paying their taxes? So much for being upstanding and ethical, right junior?
Say it with me, Lionel..."adequacy...it's what's for dinner..."
Coming from the gal, who based on the 24/7/365 volume of her snarking and barking, hasn't been out of the house in decades!
But Obama isn't that bright.
If he was a smart guy, he wouldn't have to blame guys like Norquist, Bush, ATMs, Congress, tsunamis ... he wouldn't have to channel up Abe, Ronnie or Teddy .... he would have accomplished something after 3 years and trillions of dollars.
Too bad those in libbyville aren't bright enough to see the simple facts.
Yeah guys - I'm sure the fact that he has not had a perp walk has nothing to do with the fact that he is a dem big wig, and was Obama's 'guy on Wall street.'
Absolutely nothing.
$1.6 billion is gone, but yeah, further investigation is needed I'm sure.
Come on you don't really think he'll ever actually do time, do you?
Dirty rotten 1%-ers take care of their own. Has OWS taught you all nothing?
... and JoJo you just run off at the mouth blaming Obama for everything ... guess you two are a lot alike.
But Obama isn't that bright.
This from the know-nothing who thinks Corzine should be in jail even though he hasn't had his day in court?
Yeah, your opinion on who is smart and who isn't is highly suspicious.
Four more years! Four more years!
Can you imagine? Only imbiciles would wish for four more years of Obama!
What's up with the DOJ. First they arm mexican drug lords to kill us lawmen now I hear they were helping them launder their drug money.
Keystone Cops....nice work Obama. Keep bringing that change.
Rob,
Did you see where Holder has sealed the records in the indictment of Manuel Osorio-Arellanes for Terry's murder?
Seems the Washington Times saw the records before they were sealed ..... the five were actually hunting border agents!
Unbelievable, huh?
From a IBD piece on 12/01/11 - Border Agents Murder Brings More Calls For Investigation
Btw - Thanks for your service.
Answer: All of them.
Question: How many questions will Corzine take the 5th on while testifying to Congress?
I love it when a fat hypocrite opens their pie hole like WCA here. How many times to you and your brain-washed ilk here on FR spew your donuts over president Obama's teleprompters, WCA?
Considering every president has used teleprompters I would say it was brought up too many times and was always the most stupid, middle school level complaint.
poor nisl, obama is only bright in his own and liberals skewed minds. Simply amazing that as POTUS his idea of success is to blame the right for everything or that the wealthy need to give just a little more.
LMAO...The brightest thing obama has done is play to the masses, past presidents could work with opposing congresses. Obama has trouble working with his own party. Libs want to talk up about him, but really where is the "hope and change" he campaigned on? After all we were in a recession when he was elected and even considering that recovery was not expected to be fast, why did he drop the ball on pursuing economic recovery as job1?
Here is something else for everyone to think about, the financial reform act may be alright in the long term, but will hurt us in the short term in part because of banks increased capital reserve requirements.
Make nice old lady, your president wants you to be civil, don't ya know.
So old girl, why don't you post your picture? Have you not seen your toes in decades too? I happened to view Sally's photos of the baseball game - were you one of those old fat ladies in the flick?
That's all Christie is good for, but he better watch his blood pressure...
And then there's the punk -- How about you get a life instead of living in your virtual world on FR, posting off topic and attacking other FR member?
winemaker ---- what's your problem? i don't believe feisty is running for office of any kind. do you have a problem with a woman voicing her opinion that doesn't agree with yours?
nisl -- Good list. "Leading from behind" makes one throw-up a little when thinking of Christie or Gingrich and their fat arses, but what a pack of lies.
For example, the success in Libya was due to thoughtfulness, proper management, and taking a multi-lateral approach -- with minimal loss of blood and treasure. Both Parties in the Super Committee asked the president NOT to get involved. Somehow this was not well reported, and not reported at all on FOX Noise (imagine that). Christie complains about hyperbole and the circus atmosphere and then promptly adds to it.
BTW, did you see reports starting to come out showing huge savings already being enjoyed due to the Affordable Care Act, especially for those on Medicare? And without any Death Panels! May truth prevail.
MP - I can sum it up for you...
He's an envious little troll formerly known as 'safecracker', who has been previously banned & is pissed I won't grant him membership into the Feisty Fan Club!
So he continues to stalk me believing I give a rats ass about what he has to say! ;o)
We are well aware of Teapublican abuse of the filibuster that resulted in financial reform that is as wide as it is shallow. What we really need is an updated Glass-Steagall Act (and bring back the Fairness Doctrine and a few other regulations while we're at it that were destroyed by Republicans). But good luck with GOP/TP obstructionism of everything.
And here we are yet again with Teapublicans blocking confirmation of Richard Cordray to head the Consumer Protection Agency, not because he is not qualified as indeed he is, but for the first time in history because the Teapublican sh!theads are against an agency for consumer protection at all. Where is your outrage about this?
*crickets*
winemaker ---- is that your problem bunkie?
Christie is irrelevant to this election. Why would his ravings merit any attention?
*Ignore*
TruePatriot-445959
I have a great life True. I, like the red rooster can attack anyone. Read her posts then ask if she is attacking someone.
@ mrpotatohead-2258438
No problem potatohead. Just voicing my opinion. Do I have an issue with her voicing hers? Well, yes. But if nasty is the new norm, then I also will be nasty. If it's good enough for the liberal red rooster, then I shall also respond in kind.
@ the Red Rooster,
You have the wrong person Red. A troll? Membership in the Feisty Fan Club? Now that's funny Red Rooster. So, which troll are you dear? By the way, why do you have such a fixation on this Safecracker guy? And why would anyone wish to be a follower of someone with such an erectus permanitis problem? Think yours is bigger than mine?
now HE comes out of the woodwork lol
maybe we should call you Fasty Redhead :)
Obama must have hit a home run yesterday. Just look at all the mud and sh*t slinging going on today by supposedly civilized folks as Gubnor Krispy Kreme and many of the posters on here!
you go, Prez!
Ah, Drive By- A home Run?
Are you really that desperate/hungry for any little nugget from the guy that you are willing to call a speech a 'home run?'
That's just sad.
And come on Drive By - who needs a home run when you have the rocking accomplishments of Obama?
Me, I liked how he highlighted Teddy R. Yesterday. Yep the progressive movement started with Teddy, and for lo these last 100 years or so we have fought a war on poverty.
Too bad the relative poverty levels now are the same as they were back then, eh Drive? really highlights that government just sucks at everything.
'Home Run.' How amusing.
"And come on Drive By - who needs a home run when you have the rocking accomplishments of Obama?"
Well, hell- Spank's got me on this one. Try as I might, I can't disagree with him.
Can't win 'em all, I guess. (but I'm guessing the good 'counselor' personally knows that one pretty well by now)
Yeah Spank about as amusing and as your previous posts. (Or should we label them delusions). BTW did you ever read TR's 1910 speech. Just askin!
What up Torpedo?
So let me get this straight - Lawyers suck, 'cept Ms. Torpedo who is a lawyer working for a big evil insurance company, AND and insurance policy is not a piece of paper but rather a 'product.'
I love your logic my man.
By the way - what super awesome, and indispensable products do you make that are better than any and all services?
Actually Spank my wife thinks most lawyers suck which is why her bar card is inactive. And actually we value plumbers, construction workers, assembly workers, engineers, programmers etc...Why hell spank I even prefer the local convenience store clerk (whose job is more dangerous) over the cop...BTW did you read Teddy's 1910 speech yet???
Sure that's why Torpedo.
Such an expensive lesson to learn. Oh well at least she is doing the lord's work denying people's claim at the insurance company.
Cause you know those in the insurance industry don't suck at all.
Very funny.
Hey lawyer, question for you. Have the Progressives ever finalized the Obama Health Care program, or is it still being written?
And Spanks, how funny are these liberals that you talk with? It's more humorous that reading the morning comic strip. How do you keep your sanity when talking with them?
Drive by why do you not drive yourself into a ditch for your stupidity!
Naw, just refer to me as the evil anti-libbie
drive-by-observer
Good comment drive by, supposedly civilized folks as gubnor krispy kreme! You are beginning to sound like someone else on the site with those comments! And if your brass ones are larger than hers, you may take the #1 post spot!
He forgot to mention the pandering to the GLBT crowd. Tell me we are going to pay attention to other country's treatment to help make our decisions on aid. LMAO. Pandering because he knows that GLBT crowd feels left out in his decision making on anything right now. " I am grandstand man."
What about considering women's rights before making decisions? If we did that there would be no aid to many middle east countries.
He is truly in campaign mode.
What about considering women's rights before making decisions?
They already do and have for years.
So you are saying that Egypt, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the likes could be getting double the money if they just would treat women better? There may be a blank space for and with a check mark but the criteria, if what you say is true, must be pretty loose. More like pandering to woman groups if they spew that BS.
So you are saying that Egypt, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the likes could be getting double the money if they just would treat women better?
Where did you yank that from? LGBT and women's rights will always ride backseat to national security interests regardless of who is president.
And that nisl is exactly why Obama was just pandering to the LGBT community.
"Get out of your chair and start doing the hard work yourself to make America a better country"
This exhortation should also be directed to the Congress---A Congress that has passed the fewest pieces of meaningful legislation in ten years.
President Obama has been disappointing, but Congress definitely could have done much more.
Might want to check the pile waiting on Harry Reid's desk for the Senate to vote on.
Thanks to the FAKE Filibuster Rule 22 in the Senate the MINORITY gets to decide what will come up for a vote. A VERY un-democratic practice. It is essentially a minority VETO.
This "get up and LEAD" meme is a TAUNT. They would criticize Obama mercilessly if he put forth a truly liberal agenda, and prosecuted the saboteurs of America's future wellbeing, as the obstructionist traitors that they are. Watch them all run for cover, cowards that they are, when Obama wins a second term. He'll be break'n bad on their silly asses for four long years.
Paul,
Not if the Republicans win the Senate, and if that's the case, it will be four more years of gridlock.
And he asserted that the president, who yesterday aligned himself with President Teddy Roosevelt, to stop urging other Americans to "meet the moment."
"Get out of your chair and start doing the hard work yourself to make America a better country," Christie said to applause.
Great stuff!
My Governor Bob McDonnell, or Marco Rubio, each would be great VP choice.
But how tempting is it to go with Chris Christie; he is an amazing political superstar. He only gets better with time.
Keep going with the fat jokes; surely the liberal geniuses on here can find one that is actually funny.
Governors Bob McDonnell, and Marco Rubio - two politicians dependent on federal dollars because their states can't support themselves.
Amy, What's your point? Name me a state that doesn't depend on federal dollars. Maybe if we cut out a bunch of agencies being ran out of Washington that is wasting billions of dollars and leave that money in the states they wouldn't be that dependent on the federal government. But you liberals believe the federal government knows best and so you are willing to drink at the federal fountain instead of taking responsibility for yourselves.
aw, calm down sfcret, I'm just making stuff up, you know, like Republicans like to do.
Hey Bob, did I miss something? Is 'meet the moment' the latest slogan from the Class Divider?
I can never understand this nonsense about leadership...what exactly is Obama supposed to do? He's got a do nothing Congress in front of him. Should he be getting all gangsta on Boehner and McConnel and tell 'em if you do want I want I'll cut ya?
I think you're right...arranging for them to find a horse's head in their beds would help. Then, they could scream: "See...see...we told you he's a gangsta from Chicago."
I think many people have the perception that President Obama is always playing defense; they would like to see him on offense. He always seems to be saying what Congress won't let him do. Some might wish that he would propose some measures that stand a chance of being accepted by the Republicans, even if such measures are not liked by his Liberal base. He could gain political capital for putting country before politics.
If such measures improve the economy---he looks good going into the election. Yet he seems overly concerned that he will alienate his base, but really, what will the Liberals do---vote for Ginrich or Romney?
He has been using conservative ideas like the individual mandate in the healthcare reform bill...Now that he doesn't have as many reasonable people in congress thanks to the teabaggers they won't pass anything he proposes period....Do you watch FOX much? The GOP is campaigning on the idea that they will get as many racists to vote for them as they can and hopefully drag a few dummies along for the ride and it might work...Everyone knows that no matter what is said in public a large majority of WHITE ANGLO SAXON PROTESTANTS are racists and can't stand to have a black man running things and agree wuth their leaders not voting for anything he wants whether it tears down the credit rating of our country or starts wars...They just don't care...

Hahaha! Focus Groups have to ome to an end? There goes his counterweight...Fox's Frank Luntz.
What? A circus? Guess he won't be crossing the Hudson, to kiss the ring, anytime soon.
Is "Booby Bobby off his medications?? Again! "Clueless Christie" has no clue of what he is talking about! This GOP Clown is the the "King Of The GOP Cowards." President Obama has been on the road constantly over the last Three Years, and has had to poltically defend himself everyday. President Obama is very Presidential on all matters, and he tried to pass a rational Jobs Bill. The GOP Lobbyists blocked the Jobs Bill. "Booby Bobby" needs to THINK before writing "Crazy Conservative Crap." Then "Booby Bobby" needs to comprehend what is read or said to him. Lastly, "Booby Bobby" needs to carefully needs to research all information presented. "Clueless Christie" could never win in a debate against President Obama. Emotionally and intellectually President Obama would have "Coward Christie" crying in the corner by the end of any debate. That is fact!
This coming from a Governor that has one of the worst run states in the USA. This fact was on my Comcast home page just a week ago. He has a lot of nerve bashing anyone when he can't do any better, besides Pres. Obama would do a heck of alot better if he had a congress that would work with him.
news for gov krispy kreme. compared to the repugnant losers running against him, obama is the smartest person in the room!
The only searing is the massive amounts of food that "Clueless Christie" eats at on sitting. He loves all the economic fat that he can get. "Coward Christie" is managing the food stands for the GOP traveling Clown Show. He will at times show up wearing a circus tent, and plenty of make up to hide his puggy "two faced" GOP Lobbyist Activities. "Clueless Christie" will only show up to debate the President if there are plenty of baked goods. That is fact!
feisty ----- i think you were being very nice when you said gov krispy kreme hasn't seen his toes in a while. i would suggest he hasn't seen another part of his anatomy in quite a while.
HAHA!
That was MY first thought - then I decided to go with the 'PG' version! ;o)
feisty ---- you definitely have more class than i do!
LOL!!!
I wouldn't go THAT far! ;op
Christie suffers the need to be the dumbest person in the room.
The Newt obama debates are going to make history World history as the greatest debates ever NEWT with the solutions obama with Failed leadership Failed policies , AND WE GET TO SEE IT ,
Newt...defending his pay-offs from the ethanol industry, pay-offs from Freddie, defending his prior defense of mandatory health insurance, defending unethical House activities. Newt is sitting on a wall, Newt is getting ready to fall...and no one will be able to put the fat man back together again.
Wait a minute, the neocons/teabaggers were elected in 2010 under the "where are the jobs?" thing. Not one teabaggers who was elected has mentioned jobs since the election. So now, fat boy slim is criticizing President Obama on jobs. What a load. GOOD LUCK, next year teabaggers - You're going to need it!!!!
Christie has done squat in NJ... balanced budget... yes.. only because he decided not to make the Pension payment... anyone can do that one!
Kevin where exactly in N.J do you live?
Do you guys consider throwing insults back and forth at each other all day constructive? I don't see the value at all. I appreciate reading the comments with the information I can actually verify. Opinions are interesting. I get bored with the back and forth name calling. It's a bit childish.
consider-it,
You know, it was not always like this. The closer the election gets, the nastier it gets.
I do see that. I thinkit's good to be passionate about ones beliefs and own experiences. I accept that people get upset sometimes as I have myself. I just find it annoying at times. But yes. The campaign speeches are setting off some firestorms. It's good that people are engaged somehow. However, it's hard to see another side of an issue when presented to you if all you can see is RED!
Christie's blubber completely negates his effectiveness. How am I supposed to pay attention to what he says when all I can think about is how hard it must be for the blood to pump its way through his blubbery veins.
He is just another tool of the wealthy being used, in all his blubberiness, to try to sway the opinions of us 99%'ers. When blubber blubber, and blubber, blubber blubber blubber, and can you actually believe the blubber blubbering blubber blubber blubber mouth? What a blubber.
Typical hate filled BS from all you lefties. It is just amazing to read such filth. And you all dare call yourself the party of compassion. Read posts like fiesty's, wilcox, etc. You are disgusting people, AND YOU KNOW IT!!! You think it's funny to insult and attack others personally, but become indignant when someone calls Obama incompetent and arrogant.
It just ticks you off when someone says anything about the president, especially when they are totally right.
You all wonder why non-liberals are so strongly opinionated against liberals? It's because all you do is spew hate, insult and attack anyone who doesn't agree with you, and if you dare disagree with a liberal, you are their enemy.
This is not something I can support, so even if you had all the right answers, which you most certainly don't, I would never support the liberal cause anymore. I'm not willing to sell my soul, like you all have to your messiah. Truth, justice, honor, integrity; today's democratic party (aka progressives; aka liberals) have none of these anymore.
You all make Republicans look like saints. I'd pick any of them over anything you have to offer. Americans are waking up to your BS.
So there's my little tirade and I look forward to your hate-filled responses.
NOBAMA 2012!!!
Says wtfwwus, in a remarkably hypocritical post about hate.
Just ignore him, NewDay. He is just sniveling because he got the daylights whooped out him by "lefties" wielding facts.
I find it hilarious that this right wing hack can complain about the left wing hacks. Dude you are one in the same with Fiesty and the rest of the libs. The only things that is different is the party you support.
Thank y'all for verifying exactly what I said.
I made no personal attacks on anyone as an individual, just pointed out that all you folks do is insult others, in a harsh and personal hateful way.
100% correct but libs will never admit they do anything wrong or lie about
the facts and that's their whole agenda cause they really have no answers
for all the liberal progressive socialist failures that never work and the
fact that this is the most incompetent president in US history!
wtfwwus
As you say. It goes both ways however. As you have shown with your outpouring of hatred as well. Calling our President the "messiah" of liberals is not an insult? Calling our President names is supposed to show us how well you behave compared to liberals? And I can tell you that you have not helped your "cause" among most Independents. Many Independent voters are the ones who helped put him in the White House. Besides. We are actually looking at the candidates NOT the comments made here. I suggest you do the same. It is an eye opening experience. But first you must put aside you animosity toward those who do not believe the lies they are told. Didn't you know that most of what you see and hear from politicians is complete and utter BS? But with the President, he is out there in the open. He's being watched and stalked every moment of every day. Everyone is waiting for him to slip up. These new players in the game came slithering out from under rocks and in crevices where they thought they'd been hiding. I mean, come on! These guys are not really even qualified to be President. They've been asleep for years! Gingrinch. What a joke!
No, I don't think stating that Obama followers behave as if he was the messiah is an insult, it was a behavioral observation.
But I do agree with most of what you say, and would only add that Obama falls in your description of the players in the field.
I voted for Obama. I was one of those indies who was hopeful that he would be different, would bring positive change, and bring hope back. He has proven himself to be just the same in terms of politics, and has proven himself to be poorly capable of helping us out of the situation he inherited. He has most definately made it worse. I guess I'm not pleased that he has failed to take advantage of a once in a lifetime chance to do some really positive things. He had the opportunity to do some amazing things. He decided to stay partisan, as a response to partisan, he decided to go arrogant, rather than humble, and he decided to be just another politician and take care of his "boys" in wall street, insurance and banking with stimulus and health care bills that are horrible. I was in favor of HCR, and I thought stimulus could have worked, but they were both done in a vacuum, and done wrong.
So what are our options? Obama? Gingrinch? Since we don't have a third party, and all the popular movements are taken over by radicals from both sides (TP, OWS), we have to make the best choice of the worst available. Unfortunately, I have come to the conclusion that anyone would be better than Obama. Now if people feel that is hateful, well, they're going to take anything I say as hateful, as I don't agree with them. So be it.
I'll close by appreciating your post in that you stated your point without making any personal affronts towards me. We may disagree, but that is what's great about this country. What my original post was meant to reflect was my regret that so many people, from both sides, on NV, mostly from the left are so intolerant and disrespectful of other who don't agree. In a way, my post may be one in the same, but what I'm negative about is totally different.
So how's the economy there in NJ Chris? Oh that's right it stinks. Why doesn't Christie worry about his own state's problems. You know, step up and be a leader. He didn't have the balls to get in the race, so don't start trying to run against Obama now, it's too late. If Romney wants to throw out red meat let him do it himself. Let the fat man worry about doing his OWN job.
