“Richard Cordray’s nomination to lead the the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is expected to be taken up Thursday by the Senate, but it is expected to fail because of Republican opposition,” the Boston Globe reports. “President Obama nevertheless launched a campaign this week to lobby for Cordray’s nomination and portray the GOP’s reluctance as evidence of a party beholden to Wall Street.”

republican/teabagger party opposition. Then you all wonder why nothing gets done." Lets make him a one term President" Mitch the Turtle, republican/teabagger senate leader. Is that good for the country, by doing nothing?
Republicans prove every day in the Congress, they do not want to protect consumers from corporate skullduggery.
The GOP want all regulations to be cancelled so they may have their agendas and make more money, which they all need more of. We can only hope that they come down with a good case of E-Coli.
Is this guy in a district that has a GOP for senate vacant seat in 2012? We in Mass have Scott Brown numbers, He ain't coming back to the senate. Let wall street give him a job. They blocked Elizabeth Warren from this same job and we will fire Scott brown and let Liz come an be the chairman of the committee in the senate to regulate and supervise wall street. Can the district of Cordray do the same to his senate rep? That will be priceless.
I wish the object of the game was how to best serve the country rather than how to get the most money and power. We might have a chance then.
