Former Vice President Dan Quayle will endorse Mitt Romney for president tomorrow at a campaign event in Arizona.
The endorsement will take place in Paradise Valley, Arizona, which is located within the congressional district of Ben Quayle, the former Vice President's son, who was elected to the House in 2010 and has yet to make an endorsement in the presidential race.
Quayle, who was vice president under President George H. W. Bush, represented Indiana in the House of Representatives for two terms, and also served in the senate. He has reportedly remained active in Republican fundraising circles, particularly in Arizona, where he has a home.
Romney met with former President Bush at the latter's Houston home last week. The meeting was described by aides to Romney as a chat between friends; Bush did not offer his endorsement.

Exactly. Isn't Quayle in the running for "Least Influential Person of 2011"?
I remember when I was younger and in school when Quayle was VP, there was a News Report of a Poll taken at the time asking Americans "Who is the Vice President of the United States of America?" If I remember correctly the % was less tha 50% even knew who he was then.
Good luck MITT with such a profound endorsement...

None of these Republican mediocrities has any prayer against Barack Obama. I hope I am wrong about this, but I expect, in their desperation as the election of 2012 nears, the GOP , possibly backed by the BANKSTERS like Chase and B of A;will hire a secret cabal of military and/ or CIA to assassinate Obama; and then blame it on some deranged psychotic or racist. AND THEY WILL GET AWAY WITH IT, as they did with the JFK assassination. (READ James W. Douglass's "JFK and the UNSPEAKABLE" published in 2008, if you don't believe it!! EXCELLENT BOOK!! A truly eye-opening account of how Lee Harvey Oswald was, in fact, just a "patsy" [a scapegoat]; who NEVER FIRED a SHOT at JFK!!)

Wow!! An endorsement from Dan Quayle!! What more could any Presidential candidate ask for!!?? The only candidate more deserving of this honor would be Michelle Bachmann -- she could help him with spelling and he could help her with historical inaccuracies!

If I were Romney, I'd say thanks but no thanks. But what can you expect from Romney, he'll take what he can get.
A Quayle endorsement is tandimount to being offered the front seat on the "little yellow bus".
What was Romney thinking? Quayle is as dumb as a bag of hammers or maybe even as dumb as a can of smashed a-holes. Way to go, Mitt!! Endorsed by Mr. Potatoe Head!!
Much like Rick Perry seen here: these candidates don't seem to have it together, and frankly, these debates are an embarrassment to the party. Quayle throwing his support to anyone....who cares? I was a kid in the age of Bush/ Quayle and he didn't prove intelligent...what makes him have any importance to the political machine today?
